Title: AdSense banned on major faucets?
Post by: GratisBitcoin on January 21, 2016, 07:59:26 AM
I just noticed this morning that these big faucets are not showing any AdSense advertisements anymore:

moonbit.co.in
moonliteco.in
bonusbitcoin.co

Is this a new round of Google banning Bitcoin faucets? Did anyone else notice any other faucets that suddenly stopped showing Google AdSense ads?

I just checked the most popular bitcoin faucet freebitco.in and it seems that they still have the ads, maybe because of the login/signup system?

1 thing that i heard is adsense not accept faucet because faucet don't have any informative content , that's why confused how they can get google adsense ads on their site

I can't reach this one too, probably because of the same reason:

Sad news my friends, very sad news..
I think it could be the end of faucets we have today.
Income from bitcoin adnetworks is pretty small to offer sensible payouts to users.

Maybe sites like coin888 and wheelofcoin violates TOS because google qualified these sites as gambling sites?
But what with moonbit or bonus?

This is nothing new. AdSense has never liked bitcoin faucets and they have 'banned' multiple sites even before. It was never recommended for the faucet creators to go with Google AdSense knowing their stance on sites like these.

Some faucet owners have ignored the warnings and gone with it anyway. Now Google just decided to do some cleaning and multiple accounts were terminated. Cannot say I wasn't expecting this. Some of the sites have been taken down by the owner already (like Coin888 and WheelOfCoin) while others are still working funded by other ads.

Faucets are not dead.

I know some faucets that gone by adsense ban, but in most of these cases the reason was adclickbombs.
Every of biggest/most popular faucets use adsense.
It would be nice to know, for what reason exactly google ban some sites, while other can "survive".

If you break the rules you have to pay for it.  :D

Adsense alow max 3 ad units for content per page but Coinn888 & Wheelofcoin use 5 ads on 2nd page with captcha verification & 4 ads on final page.
They broke adsense TOS.

Not only these two but many other faucets use more than 3 ads units.

This is really a bad news, because all major faucet use adsense, now if change and use another advertising, the rewards down more. But faucet owner can't create a page with real content and in this page already the faucet?

its possible that they banned those adsense account connected to those faucets. google may consider sites that only have fresh contents and while don't have much contents and are like proxy sites, clicks coming from these faucets may never be targeted to which google has been focused on.

this is very bad news for all faucets users and owners.
Google adsense was the best paying ads platform and most of the revenue was from it.
now faucets owners must be worry about their accounts and they should stop telling people to click on the ads because this is against adsence policy

As for AdSense alternatives... Has anyone tried Mellow Ads yet? They require an Alexa ranking of < 1,000,000

From the looks and feels of their website I can't help but get the impression this is run by the same people as the bonusbitcoin.co faucet.

Title: Re: AdSense banned on major faucets?

This is bad news :(...most of the high paying faucets are dependent on adsense revenue...I guess faucets with no content have been blocked...I do not think google will block users who have some content (blog or something) like that on their main page, but if you are using your main page for faucet then the probability of getting blocked is more.

I read somewhere that adsense does not ban accounts now, just block or suspend them. Once you have fixed all issues you can submit your adsense account for reverification, might get approved again.

They are good, payouts have decreased in the last few days, but still they are one of the best bitcoin ad networks.

Apart from mellowads, coinurl and a-ads are the best. I have tried some of the new ad networks, but compared to these three ad networks the payouts are a bit low. Bitmedia is also good.

Advertigo have higher CPC than BitMedia, but their network pool is smaller so only a few ads are displayed.

Block/suspend is pretty much the same as banning...
That you can appeal to get it removed doesn't mean it isn't ban.

I think bonusbitoin may have got banned because their ads were pushing content off screen, which isn't allowed.

if it is realy so about "adsense ads" it will become hard to claim.
we will see all the "empty faucets"
the problem is that all the faucet links stay on website and in rotators.

The bad thing in this story is that probably the faucets owners can not pay after claiming or they pay and will not be paid themselves.
In each situation someone will be a loser.

MoonBit.co.in, MoonLiteco.in, BitcoinZebra.com and BitCoinker.com now have their AdSense ads back online (5 slots!), I wonder how they do that? Though BitCoinker.com seems to have lowered their claim sizes.

Meanwhile BonusBitcoin.co now have replaced all their ad slots with Mellow Ads.

There is no life without Adsense ... trust me.
If Adsense won't allow this type of websites (faucets) , there is no way to get some profit from a faucet.

You can try:

One of the best and old Bitcoin faucets: http://bitcoinspace.net/freebitcoins
(NEW) Bitcoin Mining Game: http://game.bitcoinspace.net
Another good faucet (owned by Bitcoin Space):  http://www.freebtc.click

You have my guarantee that all these 3 pay every user!

That is very bad to hear. If adsense bans faucets, then it is likely there is a major reduction in payments from faucets. Let's hope they can find a solution to that.

Although google never really say what exactly the reason why adsense publishers get banned, i don't think telling people to click the ads is the only reason for faucet sites. i think the issue is that these sites are like static pages, no updates no fresh contents unlike blogs to which google likes.

And i think its better buynsell ads if the adsense ban.
I think thats why they ban faucet user because they heard that bitcoin is anonymous and there is possible to scam us..

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by the issue and for the downtime.
Unfortunately Google AdSense has blocked our financial accounts and whole our balance, If Google didn’t blocked our accounts we still had that ability to withdrawal and pay to our users for many years. Today we have to limited and suspend all services for a short time.
We'll return to the market soon with new design and new payment methods technology.

We are looking into the issue and will give an update soon.
Also our first priority is to get the server up and running ASAP.

Best regards

I believe that the "scamming door" is now open...

Many faucets will be often completly dry...

But one thing is sure...other ads compagnies (new or old ones) will take part of the "vacuum"

their payout were depending of the country and the most user comes through proxy or use hosts for the biggest payout.
Thereby will generate too many fake clicks.

Some really big and great develope bot networks, they also produce invalid adclicks, too. Google recognize such clicks and reduce the income directly. That can you see sometimes.

It's not uncommon they just ban sites for adsense. You can try to appeal but nobody is acting replying unless you got a high traffic site.

Unfortunatelly they lowered their claim amount to 500 Satoshi/15min, but it's better thean no payout at all.
they'll not be able to keep this rate if they don't get another AdSense account.

Getting a new adsense account will not help at all, they need to look for alternative AD revenues to sustain the faucets. at this rate many faucets will be closing and newbies will be frustrated and leave bitcoin community.

I don't think newbies will leave bitcoin community because of faucets shutting down.
I didn't even use faucets before I bought bitcoins and now years after I bought them I am using faucets :D

This is an extremely unfortunate setback. I hope that these sites can find ways to comply or find alternative sources of advertising income. Especially without resorting to more underhanded methods of gaining revenue...

Bonus Bitcoin was an extremely high paying faucet I wondered how long they could have continued at that rate. Although Moonbit was strong for a long time until recently... There are other faucets which still appear to be running strong like Boxbit.co.in , Paidbooks, And many more! Of course we cannot forget BitsForClick (once known as CoinAD) one of the longest running bitcoin faucet still active.

i think we are doomed

I see you still have 3 AdSense ads running on your website. Have you received any payments from AdSense yet? In my case they banned me just before the first payment. (Happened 2 years ago.)

My Adsense account for Fun Coin Games (Robot Coin Game/Monster Coin Game/ Wonderland Coin) was banned yesterday... It was also the day I was supposed to be paid for December. So I didn't get my December paycheck, and I wasted 21 days in January which payment I am not getting either... It sucks real bad... I am lowering my rewards, but not completely closing my faucets... I am hoping I can find another way to survive

This is unfortunate being your websites are some of the highest paying, especially Wonderland coin.

Thats very true though. i lost my adsense back 2011 when i still don't know about thier policy, i stop my websites after that until i got another using my sister's name. :)
what happen was that I inserted my ads on the sexy site I have, pictures aren't actually nude as the photos are from magazines like fhm. But ye they consider it adult.
I guess they manually check it if your account earns more than $15/day.

2016-01-23 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS WEEKS PAYMENT RUN

On Thursday 21st January we were advised by Google that our AdSense account has been disabled. As you are probably aware AdSense is our highest source of advertising income, and the timing of this means that we will receive no revenue for the AdSense ads shown on Bitcoin Zebra for the whole of December 2015 and so far in January 2106. We are not the only major faucet that that this has happened to - you may have already heard about others that have suffered the same consequences. We have submitted an appeal to Google and we are speaking to our AdSense account manager to try to get to the bottom of why this happened and how it can be resolved.

There is no denying the fact that Google blocked adsense accounts of some of the high paying faucets. Moonbitcoin is displaying google ads again, maybe they sorted out the issue with google (earlier adsense ban means you are banned forever, now your adsense account only gets deactivated, you fix the problem, apply again, and everything is back to normal again) or they bought a new adsense acccount. I just created a post on my blog regarding "how to start a adsense friendly faucet", http://bitckerz.net/google-adsense-faucets/ (http://bitckerz.net/google-adsense-faucets/) (not spamming or promoting my blog, it just have the basics, thought might be helpful to some users)

AdSense does not have an alternative...google it "alternatives for adsense"...most of these average ad networks need at least 10,000 impressions daily...adsense does not have a limitation...just follow the rules (every ad network have that)...you are prepared to getting banned, but not ready to how to prevent this ban...awesome...if you have not worked hard for your adsense account this might explain it...AdSense is catching up with buying accounts (need to place code and confirm the site)

How can you be that sure about this as google might dont like people giving away ad revenue and there is also factors what average faucet owners has not much tools to fight against like bot attacks giving bad traffic.

Edit: Regarding to FreeBitco.ins answer on their thread there is no problem on giving away ad revenue, but there is still problem of handling unwanted traffic from outcoming sources.

faucet owners bought then bitcoin to give away to faucet claimers.

If I'm right...it will be interesting to see if less bitcoin are baught, the bitcoin price will decrease...

Have you not noticed that google adsence only would wish traffic from google search engine?
of course it can not say it ...but it whishes it...
if you invite a friend on your site...you are already suspicious...
Why want google adsence "text on your site"?
to be more seen from search engines...and specialy from google.Buy traffic on google...no problem for your site...
buy traffic on a classic site...it is suspicious...

It's the mistake of owner if CTR was going high then why did he not removed ads.

keep eye on CTR if it goes more then 1-3% then remove AdSense ads from site.

thats a bad news for these faucets i also claim on these faucets like mooon ,  hope they can keep going.....
I think this is related more towards content guidelines of google adsense. If faucet site is empty without any information than it is pure violation of their terms and banning is normal. Faucet can also survive with other btc related adnetwork and referal commission. I don't think this as a end for faucet.

Just keep eye on CTR if your daily CTR is around 4% then no. problem but if suddenly it goes up let say 10% or more then you should remove.

if your daily CTR is around 3% and if it fluctuate between 3-7% as per your experience then up to 7% CTR is ok.

so it varies case by case but for security download AdSense app from play store and  chrome extension so you can keep checking your daily revenue . if you see a sudden big jump in revenue just start to worry and try to find the reasons of such big jump in revenue .

I'm earning $35-$50 a day and my average daily ctr is 0.11% with 140 - 180 clicks a day but my website was hacked yesterday :(. I am rebuilding it now.

Keep checking your Google analytic and keep eye on traffic source , bounce rate etc.
direct traffic and high bounce rate means bot traffic and it may create a problem for your AdSense .

When i said that my faucet rewards better than freebitcoin and moonbitcoin ...many people here laughed...
now it is definitively so:

Quote
Selling earning:1209.04 satoshi

Re-invest earning:1213.58526316 satoshi
VIP bonus earning:974.428666667 satoshi
Destroy bonus earning:1209.04 satoshi

But I agree that i do not know how long my kind of faucet (the u2cloudmining) will resist with so high rewards and dividends(because it is not only instant profit but as well with dividends.

The current Freebitco.in banners look like Adsense ... but someone here says aren't.
So what network are they from?  Epom?

Or they just used iframes from another legit site which has Adsense? I am also curious to know if this trick can work or you would get caught  easily.

freebitco.in is back to normal rewards now.
And freedoge.co.in should be back to normal rewards too soon, for now it is still only 50% payouts.
Seems like they can manage those payouts even without adsense.

But the adsense id you posted looks very much like it is from epom.

Bitcoin rewards are back to what they were before but minimum dogecoin rewards are still currently at 50% of previous levels. I will keep adjusting the rewards as needed over the next few weeks until revenue stabilizes.

I  am noticing lest referral income which is bad. I hope adsense can be still be used on faucets, if it is placed correctly;

That sounds very low for me.
That is only 8-17 satoshi per view so not even close to enough paying for faucet users when they get over 500 satoshi per claim.
And is it for all ads or can you make it 5 times bigger by having 5 ads on the same page? Still it is maximum of 85 satoshi so it still is not enough.

I guess because the site faucet violating some prohibition adsense, here I mentioned that the principal only :
1. Faucet site has no content
2. faucet are sites that offer compensation programs ("pay-to" sites)
3. Invalid clicks and impressions
4. traffic exchange
just my opinion, thank you

And I display mellowads...
Of course mellowads is not enough to pay out so huge rewards...
Mellow ads is just a little butter in the spinach...

If I can offer so "hulky" rewards it is because my system is "market regulated".
ok it is easier to offer once 1000 satoshi that twice 600 satoshi
But people prefer 1000 satoshi for less work.

adsense considers hits from faucets as Incentivized traffic, thus reason for bann. not sure if it really is in their policy since faucets has been with them for years.

anyway, you guys might just be interested to join our network http://toutrix.com/adserver we pay bitcoin hourly.

My genious system is based on a real economy.
(I have not said I'm genious)(lol)

What is real economy?
it's easy:
You get what you see and you take it if you want...
If claiming 1000 satoshi or so is not enough for you...you just go away...but I can not garanty better in the future...
My "genious" system is not based on Adsense...so no hard surprise...never hard surprise.

Why is my system genious?
Because the users are more or less the owners of the system.

Why more or less?
Because the users have the choice to be more or less owners.

Intersting...not?
(lol)

Of course all is absolutly free.(so scam is almost impossible)

Another faucet banned by Google Adsense: StealThePixels, my faucet.

After just 2 months running it !!!
http://www.cool-smileys.com/images/army12.gifhttp://www.cool-smileys.com/images/army12.gif

Traffic was just starting to get interesting, reached 150k visits/day recently ang going up... and boom, ban arrived and i lost 1300 € which were the accumulated ad earnings, before i could make the first withdrawal of course.

How in the world are the other faucets still alive and with Adsense ads running, like BitcoinAliens for example. How can they survive?  Is BitcoinAliens  run by a Google employee yes??

@winspiral you had Adsense in the past and you got banned as well? Which faucet was it?

faucets can not be profitable nowadays. it seems that most owners are struggling to get their spending from bitcoin ads network that gives very low income . I think they will vanish soon except if there is a new strong ads network with good rates appears

I don't think bitcoinaliens has adsense account.

You are right, and they have shit rewards like 50 SAT on average.
So there are almost no Adsense faucets out there, and the few ones left will be banned soon.

Faucets are still struggling to stay active. But there are some few that are still going strong.

Which captcha do you say? ReCaptcha? I have some issues with this when I need to solve many of them in sequence. It's very nasty we can't continue what we are doing because these captchas start "bugging". The only way to start solving again is to wait a lot of time, so the captchas start working well again...

Are you sure? You think that recaptcha is having problem ONLY for faucets sites?

Strange to bump a post from several months ago for such a minor contribution, but ReCaptcha isn't the only captcha service available.  Having now blocked AdSense for faucets, faucets have just moved to other solutions (which do pay less but that's OK, frankly people will use faucets no matter how close they pay to nothing), and equally if ReCaptcha is blocked faucets will find other ways to check if people are robots.

No. Captcha's haven't been working on alot of sites today, including advertising networks, and also faucets. It looks like they're working again, which is great

Solvemedia does the job aswell. Not sure why everyone thinks recaptcha is so much better.

That is just an anti-bot countermeasure,

I am talking about captcha's not showing up on certain sites such as faucethub.io, which made it impossibly to login.

Did anyone else experienced similar issues?

There is no conspiracy against faucets.
The reCaptcha has temporary problems (and this is a old issue), but they fix it when they are aware of this or when someone report the issue.

We also had some users reporting that they cannot login and use faucets due to recaptcha not working

I'm not sure it's really an issue of ReCaptcha, looks it's purposeful. I click the ReCaptcha it doesn't open and says there is an issue with my internet connection, when the captcha opens they want I click waterfalls, trees, store fronts... until there isn't anyone more. But the pictures disappear in slow motion and never let me finish it.

And when I try to change the captcha to voice, it says they can't let me do it because there is something strange here (I don't remember exactly what that said, but something like this, they distrust I'm a bot and can't let me continue).

i think reCaptcha's problem doesn't happen to only faucet. I can;t login to faucethub,epay,bitcoinwallet,... because captcha load very slow

Yup, this was the thing that happend. But it seems that even if it was invisible, it still wasn't working. Pretty silly that google pushed an update like this this way.

It's not because of the invisible reCaptcha.
I have normal reCaptcha on my websites and it had some issues in the last 3-4 days.
Now is working fine.

As I understand, there will be no changes for faucets users. People who are claiming from faucets are marked as suspicious users, so they still will need to solve captcha as usual.
