Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Kakmakr on March 04, 2016, 06:06:03 AM Well both of them have their advantages, but I guess Bitcoin has more pros than cons. Here are a few reason I prefer Bitcoin over PayPal.
Bitcoin ~ Bitcoin has no chargebacks ~ Bitcoin is Pseudo anonymous and more private ~ Bitcoin is a more secure network than PayPal < Decentralized > ~ Bitcoin is not centralized, so nobody can ban your account, if you buy something or pay foor something they do not allow. < Online Gambling > PayPal ~ You have some customer protection and a average rating system as a guide. < Both are highly debatable > Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Holliday on March 04, 2016, 06:18:15 AM Different tools for different jobs.
Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: kpitti on March 04, 2016, 06:36:41 AM Unfortunately I have to say PayPal. It`s more then standard, you can find use PayPal everywhere. Simply this is a reason I am using PayPal more often.
I wish Bitcoin have the same possibilities and acceptance. Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: LiteCoinGuy on March 04, 2016, 07:02:11 AM BTC. Paypal should burn.
Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: hawkins on March 04, 2016, 07:04:09 AM I choose BTC, because paypal is very difficult to use, requires verification troublesome, while bitcoin live list and ready for use :)
Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Amph on March 04, 2016, 07:43:05 AM again paypal is an escrow agent basically and bitcoin is a currency, do you see that there is not a direct comparison?
you should compare paypal to the escrow that deal with bitcoin Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: hasiramasenju on March 04, 2016, 08:33:45 AM i had been seen similar thread such this before but my answers still same i do will choose bitcoin than paypal because bitcoin have low transactions fees, practically and etc and i think you already know about advantages use bitcoin without i explain more
Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: phibay on March 16, 2016, 07:55:24 AM Personally I prefer BTC because it doesn't send your house address and what not via payments, but sometimes it gets annoying when I want to buy something online but they don't accept BTC. What do you prefer: PayPal or BTC? Receiving payment with BTC is much faster than PayPal. With PayPal you have to wait for them to release funds. BTC transactions are faster and more convenient! Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: delliaerd on March 16, 2016, 08:06:50 AM Surely i choose bitcoin then PayPal. Many advantages that i can get by bitcoin then PayPal. What do you prefer: PayPal or BTC? Receiving payment with BTC is much faster than PayPal. With PayPal you have to wait for them to release funds. BTC transactions are faster and more convenient! More people must use Bitcoin. And that will be also very good for the future. But you never know what can happen with the value. Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Jeremycoin on March 16, 2016, 09:12:26 AM you speak in bitcoin forum, it is clear many are choosing bitcoin than paypal Yup, it just like asking "which is better, Coke or Pepsi?" to the Coca-Cola employees in their office.Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Elwar on March 16, 2016, 09:17:20 AM You can pay for PayPal items at http://www.bitwa.la

Quote but sometimes it gets annoying when I want to buy something online but they don't accept BTC. solution to this problem is to buy a bitcoin debit card , add bitcoins to it withdraw $$ from any ATM by deducing a small fee for that exchange. Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: zesty_dragon on March 16, 2016, 12:43:13 PM I prefer bitcoins over PayPal because no need of verifications, can not be hacked, no 21 day holds and no charge backs.
Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: armansolis593 on March 16, 2016, 12:45:48 PM Bitcoin is still the best for me paypal is known but it still got some issue when you are doing a first time transaction and your money will be hold.
Unlike bitcoin the transaction is fast and there is no hassle when taking payments from other users. Paypal needs your account to be verified unless you are risking your account to be limited while in bitcoin, it only takes a minute to set up a wallet. Also I prefer bitcoin more because it does not have a chargebck option thus dealing with people I yet don't know don't give me a risk that they will chargeback their payment.
Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: techalt on March 16, 2016, 01:45:02 PM BTC's for sure, cheaper and easier to use IMO.

Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: actmyname on March 16, 2016, 02:11:01 PM As aubert said, there is already another thread. Lock this to prevent spam (though I bet that's your only purpose, seeing how you've already started two spammable topics... Sigh. Anyway, I would like to say that I prefer bitcoins over PayPal, but the problem is that I can use PayPal in more places. Though their support may suck and they have a lot of problems themselves, I can have a more diverse amount of ways to spend money from PayPal. However, when bitcoin reaches the point where PayPal is now, then I will use that. But for now, it's easier to use PayPal over bitcoin.

Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Amph on March 16, 2016, 05:53:04 PM we have already a thread about this, there are plenty of duplicated thread about the same argument, why you have created another?
it was already said many times thta paypal is not directly comparable because paypal is not money it's a service that offer an escrow so compare it totthe best bitcoin escrow and not bitcoin itself Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: sweeeter on March 17, 2016, 04:22:25 PM Bitcoin is better in terms of use, it's more comfortable and easier to use and you don't have the risk of being limited at every transaction, PayPal is better in terms of availability and almost every big merchant site offers it.
Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: simonloff on March 19, 2016, 09:45:27 AM Bitcoin because it's cheaper to use and more customer friendly, Bitcoin is not closed or limiting users for no reason, I think Bitcoin is better than PayPal specially with increased adoption to it.

Yeah, bitcoin is easy to use and when creating new wallet on bitcoin, you don't need verification or something like paypal. But in bitcoin you can't get your bitcoin back if you get scammed. Maybe not for transactions speed beacouse first confirmation can take up sometimes to 30 minutes but for it's decentralization and no restrictions like in Paypal.

What do you prefer: PayPal or BTC? I got that simple rule, when you can buy something directly for Bitcoin then go for it - every time. It is good to show merchant that Bitcoin is not so fictional currency but it is used by people to buy real stuff. I was really upset recently when I heard that Microsoft removes Bitcoin payment option from their store - maybe no enough people was using bitcoin? Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: DARKCHANGE on March 20, 2016, 01:51:48 PM BTC for sure. What do you want with PP? paying with bitcoin is so much better than using paypal or any of the many others and have to pay their big fees which is percentage based not fixed! The main thing that irritates me is that paypal overcharge merchants on fees. Sure as a buyer it is ok to use paypal, but the amount of money paypal charges on fees is just crazy. I hope more and more merchants will see and understand this. Paypal is very good, especially if you use it as an consumer to buy products. The buyer protection makes it very very safe. But bitcoin is good for both the consumer and merchants. Which gives bitcoin a better selling point then both paypal and/or creditcards. Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: cashintor1 on March 20, 2016, 10:05:29 PM Both!

Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Junko on March 21, 2016, 03:06:48 PM Paypal charges exorbitant fees. Bitcoin doesn't.
Paypal requires one to provide personal identifying info and bank account info. Bitcoin does not. Paypal is known for arbitrarily locking people's accounts and funds. With bitcoin, you are your own bank. Paypal restricts what you are allowed to use their service for. Bitcoin has no prohibitions of any kind. You can use it for anything you want. With Paypal, you have to worry about scammers who abuse the chargeback system. You don't have to worry about chargebacks with bitcoin. Yes to Bitcoin. No to Paypal. Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: BitcoinHodler on April 24, 2016, 03:20:39 PM bitcoin is the best and paypal is the worst..just on my own opinion. cause bitcoin does not need any info for you to register, unlike paypal you to link your credit card in order to get verified but dude, the users of paypal are more in compare to bitcoins and that is a reality and you will find almost all sites accepts paypal, bitcoin is still not that popular. well, this is sad but true. not a lot of places are accepting bitcoin, and they are sticking with other things (not PayPla either) they are using other payment processors. PayPal is mostly used by people trying to do transactions p2p like selling something to another person. and the only reason they are using paypal is because they don't know about bitcoin Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Jezreel on April 25, 2016, 04:18:17 AM For me is Bitcoin because is easy to use than Paypal. Im not going to buy Bitcoin just to have to convert it to Bitcoin then buy whatever I can buy already with fiat. Bitcoin is more valuable than fiat, so im not going to waste on the stupid shit that I usually buy with fiat out of boredom.
Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: DimensionZ on April 25, 2016, 02:18:07 PM I use both PayPal and Bitcoin. I use PayPal as my checking account when I am purchasing goods online and Bitcoin is my savings account where most of my digital money goes to. I don't keep a lot of money on PayPal as they sometimes play dirty with your funds and can freeze your account out of the blue. I have deposited only amounts just enough for my purchases and nothing more. Any surplus of money every month goes to my bank account and Bitcoin wallet.

You can send money anonimously.

Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: fravia on May 06, 2016, 01:45:00 PM Personally I prefer BTC because it doesn't send your house address and what not via payments, but sometimes it gets annoying when I want to buy something online but they don't accept BTC. What do you prefer: PayPal or BTC? i like bitcoin more too, first reason is because of fees, bitcoin fee is 4 cents, while paypal have 5%-15% fees sending to others, and that's a lot other reasons are because it is very easy to send and get money from others, you don't have to give your home address when sending for example(unless you buy something) and it is much easier to use Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Boosterious on May 06, 2016, 05:22:12 PM As you can see you see that Bitcoin is getting more popular and more used and that is perfect for the currency because the world is also getting more digital so that is nice. agreed, bitcoin is perfect payment for digital world, and we gonna face this digital world soon. but i think the problem come from goverment and bitcoin spreading, goverment will not easy to accept bitcoin as legal and official currency, and then people in little city who dont have any internet access is more hard to accept bitcoin, because they getting hard to get any connection in little village. But nobody will know what there will happen with Bitcoin and that would be a problem because you have also to take risks if you are going to buy or sell it. Bitcoin = Online Transfers Both are best in their own ways and holds their own advantages. Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: rababo on May 08, 2016, 07:28:26 AM I prefer Bitcoin because Bitcoin has less transaction fees than Paypal.
Bitcoin is easy to use, and no need to verify like Paypal. What do you prefer: PayPal or BTC? It depends on what you are going to use if for, when you prefer online shopping then without question Paypal is better. I have to say that Bitcoin is becoming more available at online webshops. Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: wintermeasures on May 19, 2016, 03:49:42 PM Of course BITCOIN.
I think this is unfair because bitcoin is currency, and paypal just wallet not currency. unless you compare blockchains or paypal, I think it's more fair. thank you is just my opinion :) Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: rekinthis on May 19, 2016, 04:02:03 PM Personally I prefer BTC because it doesn't send your house address and what not via payments, but sometimes it gets annoying when I want to buy something online but they don't accept BTC. What do you prefer: PayPal or BTC? i use both and i like both, for example with paypal you can pay in amazon, ebay, and other sites, while with bitcoin you can't pay here, but you can pay in openbazaar site and bitcoin have much smaller fees than paypal do, and also when you pay with bitcoins you need to give much less info than paying in paypal, but i think that both are very good Title: Re: PayPal or BTC Post by: Farma on May 19, 2016, 04:03:35 PM I prefer Bitcoin because Bitcoin has less transaction fees than Paypal. in comparison, I still choose bitcoin better than paypal. though paypal has been recognized worldwide, but its use is very difficult, and very difficult to find a job on the internet that use paypal payment. while looking for jobs on the internet for a fee of bitcoin is very easy.Bitcoin is easy to use, and no need to verify like Paypal. May I ask what your PayPal usage looks like? I have ditched PayPal years ago because it froze my balance 2 times for quite a long time. It took months to get it back the second time. And that while I haven't been breaking any of their policies. |
