Title: Satisfaction rating - Bitcoin Core Developers
Post by: Kprawn on March 09, 2016, 03:59:26 PM
There have been a lot of discussion lately about the different implementations and the way people think it should be done. Let's find out if people are still happy with the way the Bitcoin Core team are

managing things and what their issues is. On a scale from less than 10% to 100% ....stipulate your satisfaction with the current team of people running the show. Let's steer away from specific

individuals and just concentrate on the team. If you have suggestions on how to improve their inputs, please add them in your comments. Let's also give credit, if you feel they are doing a good job.

Less than 10% is pretty bad, and 100% is perfect ....Enjoy.  ;D -

You do realise that this forum has no problem with sockpuppet accounts and therefore any "stupid vote" is absolutely not representational beyond the sock puppet ownership?

So you think that your stupid poll has any validity at all?

The only reason to create such a poll is that you already know the outcome because you control the sockies that are going to vote on it.

(so I'd say *don't bother voting because this entire topic is simply rubbish*)

Be sure to register your vote - as of course you must think it matters. :D

Sorry @OP but I just ruined your vote as it is bullshit (idiots such as the bought account replying to me will post their rubbish but it is clear that this topic is stupid).

CIYAM you have a right to your opinion and a right to express it... I have not stated in any way that this poll is indicative of any proof of anything, but rather an attempt at improving the team with

constructive criticism. I have no problem with them, other than the long delay in doing something about the Block size increase. I do however appreciate the cautious approach and the reason for these

delays, because I acknowledge the risk to the security... if these changes are done in a rush and too quickly. Let's see how this turns out... even if it is sock puppet inflated.  ::)

I voted 90%. At the moment I'm pretty satisfied with the Core team: they've realized that Bitcoin as is cannot continue too far in the future and they've presented a solution, a pretty solid roadmap. Let's see if things will work out. Even if they don't, they'll work out in another way.

What about the shills? Will we be able to vote who is our favourite?

They've hired a new poets, and will hire another poets later this year.

Considering they're not officially "paid"  for the job (they could be utilizing their programming skills for an MNC and stocking their savings ) which they didn't choose to.I'm quite satisfied with the development ,though there always be the block debates which are unlikely to be settled.

I voted with 100% as well of majority (until now). I haven't encounter a problem so far in my BTCitcoin experience, although some have (due to their own wrong doings) so I'm quite happy with the outcome so far. Although there isn't a thing as 100%, I'm sure when more complications rises, developers rise to occasions as well and would do their best to overcome it (that's what I've seen so far).

here we go CIYAM calling everyone stupid all day again.

The vote was called stupid and I agree with CIYAM. There will be nothing learned from the results because we cant know whether a single person voted 10 times.

Great, you are aware of the flaw, why defend the poll then? Its not like votes based on signed messages and btc balance are not implemented.

I gave them a pretty poor rating. Sorry to their supporters, but the block size and scalability issue has been around for more than 3 quarters. It should have been solved last year already.

About that very unscientific survey, why is the lowest rating below the highest? A linear order would have been better.

every time someone makes a poll we get a dumbass saying the poll is meaningless.

To be honest i dont know what to believe any more. I hear so much Fud getting spread about from both sides i no longer know who is acting for the real good of bitcoin. It would be nice if the bitcoin community and devs could put their heads together instead of all this infighting.

Bitcoin wouldn't be where it is if it wasn't for them. This is the thank you that one gets for doing work for everyone.  :)

Such "issues" can't be solved quickly. A 2 MB block size limit does not improve scalability.

Equal oportunity sock puppeting?
Looks like it. This is why polls on this forum are very unreliable.

Certainly. Please stop with this foolishness. I do not vote in such polls (I have rarely done so in the past).

waww... never seen a poll so stupid...  that's just "posting for posting" .. just a shame  ???

nothing more interesting to discuss? sincerly..

I think it is a great idea, even if the sock puppets rule the show around here. I voted 80% because I feel more can be done to communicate better with the community. The lack of communication and transparency is one of the contributing factors causing all the confusion. The developers should get a spoke person to represent their interest and to communicate to the public, whilst they concentrate on the coding part. Lots of people should agree that communication during or before a possible Hard fork, or the implementation of something new cause panic, and good communication will solve this.

Keep up the good work, but please communicate better with the uninformed noobs like us.  ^smile^

I would also agree to go with 100% since my experience with Bit coin has been so pleasant so far as well and for other people having unpleasant experience is only because of their wrong ways they might adopted. If take care of our own by ourselves what we write or post it positively helps and I am sure the moderators take nice actions always after checking the stuff thoroughly.

I vote to come out of the EU, oh wait! wrong thread. Sorry, but the way classic is being pushed, I thought Cameron had taken it over. :)

I voted 100% to try to avoid the rise of neo-classic Bitcoin.

It really isn't.

I think it is a great idea, even if the sock puppets rule the show around here.
The poll is useless because nothing prevents you from creating accounts just to vote on it (e.g. high percentage of under 10%).

I voted 80% because I feel more can be done to communicate better with the community. The lack of communication and transparency is one of the contributing factors causing all the confusion.
This seems reasonable albeit I'd argue that this 'lack of transparency' is not a valid argument. I'm guessing most of their work is transparent (open source), you just might be looking at the wrong places. Communication is being worked on (e.g. they've created a website that has useful information Bitcoin Core (https://bitcoincore.org/)).
