My Information:

I am with CKPool: Kano.is

Average Blocks per day over the past 4 months:
* Mar 2016, 129 Blocks, 4.16 Blks/Day
* Apr 2016, 134 Blocks, 4.47 Blks/Day
* May 2016, 126 Blocks, 4.07 Blks/Day
* Jun 2016, 132 Blocks, 4.40 Blks/Day
* Jul 2016, 127 Blocks, 4.098 Blks/Day

4.24 average blocks per day

Quick Math: Here is my average on my pool (CKPool) hit 4 blocks. My total Payout is $138.68 on average daily. $138.68 x 30 days per month = $4160.40.
$85/month for Hosting and Maintenance
30 miners
Hosting: 85 x 30 = $2,550
Profit = $4160.40 - $2,550 = $1,610.40 per month

Investment = $136,750
Profit = $1,610.40
ROI = $136,750 / $1,610.40 = 8.54 months

Where else can you invest with a 8.54 month ROI (return on investment)Huh??

Please do the math yourself as I may have made a mistake within these calculations.

The only question left is Why am I selling these miners? I am heavily invested in another company and need more capital. Let me know of any questions you may have in the investment or the equipment Txt:9374199617

I am no where close but in US.  Are you able to tell us what you can offer?  I mean what is electricity price your getting?

I'm just curious as I have not heard much about prices of running a mine in Ohio.

Well, about me:  I have quite a few S7s that are hosted in WA.  Mining is very profitable for me now, but am looking to expand into other bitcoin businesses and am looking for some others to joint venture.  If this sounds like you would be interested in, let me know.

Sounds good. Currently running 30th in the basement with plans for more. Been thinking of doing hosting but with the 1/2ing soon might wait till new hardware comes out and stay basement bound right now.

I've considered hosting in Utah, but WA beats us a bit on power cost.

I suspect the only significant grouping of miners in the US is in Washington state.

I'm not there yet - currently in Ionowhere - but if the next few months goes as planned I will be.

I'm in Ohio but won't be mining much longer.  Electric is way too expensive to continue (almost .14/kw/h after fees & taxes).  As soon as it warms up I'll be shutting most if not all of my stuff down.

You can join my farm in WA state if you would like.  I was mining at home until I got to about 17 S7s and a $1900 electric bill.  I was running them last December to heat my house and had to keep all of the windows open.  Haha.  You are more than welcome to joint my farm.   My big interest is in starting new bitcoin companies and would like to joint venture with others if you are interested.

What is approx energy cost per KWH on your WA farm?  I like the idea of sharing spaces with other  miners and getting best bang for buck on electricity price to.   I am good till having most likely in my own mining area.

But once having hit's I likely need to find a place with cheaper electricity (it's speculation but I'm guessing a lot will need to after having).

I do not have the exact cents per kw, but I pay $80 per month per miner that covers all costs.

I already have the contract and you would be able to come under my miners and therefore there would be no contract.  Open for discussion.

I figure mining will be a profitable business for the next 4-6 years, but I am also looking for starting new ventures.

Now a days the only time I do ~2 1/2 hour drive, is if I'm headed out fishing or headed south to Tennessee.

I turned my furnace on twice last winter - got a bit nipper than I thought, so fired it up for about 3 minutes each time to get my place back to comfortably warm. Never did manage to shut all my windows at any point, had to keep SOME air flowing to avoid overheating the place (if we'd had near-record cold temps in Jan or Feb I MIGHT have had to shut all the windows. Maybe. Not sure.).

I have to keep the company undisclosed for now, but it has been around for a few years and is a very good company.  If you are very serious about collocating, PM me and I will give you the name.

That doesn't sound too good to me.  S3 costs me like $30 a month in electric, s5 about $60.  S7 would probably be around $100 to keep at home.  doesn't sound like it's worth the trouble to pack up and ship somewhere else.

If an S5 at about 600W costs $60, then an S7 at 1400W should cost about $140. Compared to that $80 is a decent deal. It'd be $90 in my hosting. What's your residential electric rate?

My S5s are overclocked and pull almost 900W and would pull more but I can't overclock them more since I'm not springing for a bigger PSU.  I pay almost .14 for electric.

No idea on the input voltage never measured it.  I do know they will go faster with a good error rate but I had to step them down they were pulling 900 on the 900 and popping it out occasionally.

Home vs Collocation:

Well I shipped 17 machines from my home to WA, then every machine that I have purchased since has been shipped directly to WA.  The cost difference from home at 12 cents per KW as compared to WA at about 7 cents per KW is a big difference.

Just take a look at it this way.  If I kept 17 machines at home at $111 each = $1900 per month.  When I shipped them to WA it was $1360 per month and they maintain them.  This is only a $540 difference but I have more than doubled my mining operation and this has been for several months.  You can see the cost advantage.  Plus I do not have to buy PSUs, wires, switches, cables, internet, redundancy or anything else.  I just rent the PSUs at $5 per month.

I have since sold all of my switches, wires, power cables, and most of my PSUs on eBay and Craigslist.

Even in Wa it's hard for us to justify the pud bill, at least for me who rarely can afford 1st gen equipment.  Kudos for a mining coaltion in your area.  Many areas it's dog eat dog.  Good Luck Ohio!

yep - honestly, an S7 will only make you around $100 a month right now, at the current difficulty.  With the increasing network difficulties, it won't break $80 in the next month or two.

Would love to join a meet up, but Columbus is just a bit too far.  You might consider joining the Meetup group - seems like there's a core group keeping it going, and also the next meeting is tomorrow:

Thanks for the advice.  I am member of the local metup group.  My intent is not to just evaluate the best options for mining, but to start a new business(s) with a group of people that already know about bitcoin.  I have already started another company and have Ideas about new companies, but need some more talent.  This is why I look at other Miners.

..........

You  probably mining  in the wrong place.

0.0144 BTC /day = 0.432 BTC/ last month  -  Antpool  ( nicehash = 0.01536 BTC /day  0.46 BTC/last month from one S7 4.8 THs )

It is 186 USD  not around $100 a month.

I must agree as well.  I am averaging $202.20 for this month so far.

At the pace China is taking over bitcoin we won't have anything left. At kano we have tied with China twice this week on blocks. Both blocks went to China because they control over 50% of the market. If you aren't in China don't use their pools. Help level the playing field. Plus you won't have to deal with the mighty GFW.

Sorry to say but you are asking a lot and the hosting isn't that good of a deal either.  Heck the new Antminer with PSU attached is the same price New- As for the hosting, well there are plenty of places that charge $50-60/kWh.

Good luck with the sale.

I spent about 8 years working the computer show / hamfest circuit for a living - based out of the Indianapolis area, but made a lot of shows in Ohio - though I only went to the Hamvention twice, way too costly for a small seller like I was.
 Finley on the other hand was nice.....

NEW PRICE:  $13,500.00

I am with CKPool: Kano.is

Average Blocks per day over the past 4 months:
* Mar 2016, 129 Blocks, 4.16 Blks/Day
* Apr 2016, 134 Blocks, 4.47 Blks/Day
* May 2016, 126 Blocks, 4.07 Blks/Day
* Jun 2016, 132 Blocks, 4.40 Blks/Day

4.275 average blocks per day

Quick Math: Today July 4th 2016 my pool (CKPool) hit 4 blocks.  My total Payout was $277.37.  $277.37 x 30 days per month = $8321.10.  Halving it would be $4160.55

If you would like to do the numbers with the average per day 4.275:  $277.37/4=$69.34 per block;  $69.34 x 4.275 ave per day = $296.43 ave per day;  $296.43 * 30 days per month = $8892.90 ave per month; After halving $4445 ave per month.

Another factor is the increase in Bitcoin over the next six months that would negate or at least mitigate the difficulty.

--------------------VS------------------------

If you purchased brand new from Bitmain:

S7 x $440 x 30 = $13200.00
Shipping S7s - $54 x 30 = $1620.00
PSU $140 x 16 = $2240.00
Shipping PSUs $43 x 16 = $688

Total 30 New S7s and 16 PSUs = $17,748.00 + Wait time for delivery + Setup/Startup Issues.

NEW PRICE:  $13,500.00

When you buy qty the price goes down per miner for shipping.  You cannot just stick one in your cart and extrapolate.

There is a bunch of these not getting sold on eBay for even $300.

Its seems that alot of people lost interest in mining recently. Probably because of the halving. Or because ETH is twice as profitable and hardware is half the cost.

I disagree - I watch eBay daily.  I would even pick a couple up at a very low price as you mentioned.  Here is what is today just as I found your post:

I only see $400 and above except for the one that is not hashing correctly, but even that one is going for $300.00

Just pay to break your contract with the mining facility and have all the S7's and PSU's delivered to you.

Then you can sell them 1 at a time on eBay for more.

Let's look at some numbers here. Please let me know if you calculate them with different results.

1.) Electrical cost going forward: $80 per miner * 30 miners = $2400 per month
2.) Rental cost of power supplies: $5 per miner * 16 miners = $80 per month

Total monthly cost: $2480
Total monthly Btc:  $4160 (from your previous post)
--------------------------------
Total monthly income: $1680 (difference from above)

Six months income: $1680 * 6 = $10,080

Six months (July 10th to January 10th), I'm assuming the difficulty would have increased significantly by then.

1.) That's also assuming all miners are up and running at 100% all the time. With the heat coming this summer in eastern Washington I would expect some downtime and possibly lose some miners to overheating.
2.) Again you would need to calculate the difficulty increase. 5%...10%....20% over six month? 10% would knock approximately $1000 off the six months total income.
3.) What will be the resale value of the S7's and power supplies when the contract is over (~2017)?

Let me know what ya think?
      Are you open to offers?

Thanks much

Very good Analysis.

1) I have already been with this collocation company and have avoided loss of equipment due to running (1 was a DOA).  I did have some under clocking from the temps over 100 degrees, but have been compensated for that time.
2) Yes there will be difficulty increases, but to compensate and possibly full negate this would be the increase in bitcoin over the next six months and longer.  Last year August bitcoin was setting at $228...
3) PSUs don't really loose their value.  They can be used again and again.  If you take a look at the S5s on eBay they are still selling for 1/4 of their original cost.  People still buy S4s, S5s, S7s...Resale will still be there, especially under $500.

I believe that if I hold these miners for the next six months or a year, They can still turn a profit either with their Hashing or their asset value.  I am always open to business opportunities.

Thanks!

I agree that the btc price 'could' (and probably will) increase in the coming months. Depends mostly on the Chinese currency controls and Yuan devaluation, but everything points in that direction.

But:
1.) I just looked up the difficulty increases on https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty for the last nine months and it has more than doubled (over 100% increase) from 1.0e+11 to 2.0e+11. That was a huge under estimate on my part.
So first approximation (50% increase in difficulty) of the six month return should be: $10,080 / 2 = $5,040 (just a guesstimate).

2.) Resale value of the miners will drop quickly. I've been selling my S5's and SP20's for $50 each on eBay and lucky to get it. I did get $144 for an S4 though. I'm assuming I'll be selling S7's for the same $50 in six months.
Once the S11's come out, both the S9's and S7's will drop quickly in resale value.

Thirty S7's * $50 = $1,500
With no increase in difficulty $10,080 + $1,500 = $11,580
With 50% increase in difficulty $5,040 + $1,500 = $6,540

Not sure what a reasonable offer is at this point?

Thanks much

Are also a fourth Option  possible ?

Option 4

(100TH/s; $175.00/TH/s)

8 S9s, 8 PSUs = $17,500.00

8x 12,5 THs miner + 8 x 1600W PSU  for  $17,500.00

How much is hosting costs ?

Nope, No Option 4. ;D

Nope, No Option 4. ;D

In this case, my friend must wait when the S9 coming in Hashnest.

From tonight, your S7 miners spend 75% of their earnings  to pay for hosting. 43x S7 = 3500 USD hosting- 1200 USD profit.
Long way to earn 17500 USD. More than a year.
0.001178345 BTC =1THs
200Ths = 0.235669 BTC  with PPS payment -2.5%  0.229777 BTC

I turned  off today  my last S7 miners.  The only way is currently mining with S9,  if you must  pay for electricity.

But to get with 200THs S9 miners 0.23 BTC day,  I spend over 500 kWh in 24 hours, my profit from BTC mining with only S9 miners  is less than 100 euro in day.
I got more with TITAN-s.

So I suggest , sell at any price you will be offered  ;D

Thank you for your wise opinion.  I believe that I will do just fine with keeping them running and making a smaller profit for a few weeks; although, I see some real potential toward the end of July through the end of the year.  Thanks for your great input.  This dog can still hunt!  haha  ;D

Full Mine 8 S9s, 43 S7s and 27 PSUs (~300TH/s):  $37,000.00

I am with CKPool: Kano.is

Average Blocks per day over the past 4 months:
* Mar 2016, 129 Blocks, 4.16 Blks/Day
* Apr 2016, 134 Blocks, 4.47 Blks/Day
* May 2016, 126 Blocks, 4.07 Blks/Day
* Jun 2016, 132 Blocks, 4.40 Blks/Day

4.275 average blocks per day

Today July 12, 2016 my pool has hit 4 blocks so far totaling $218.55:  $218.55/4=$54.64 per block;  $54.64 x 4.275 ave per day = $233.58 ave per day;  $233.58 * 30 days per month = $7007.26 ave profit per month.

Payments per month:
27 Miners and 27 PSUs = $80 x 27 = $2,160.00 Colocation and Maint Costs
24 Miners and 24 Rented PSUs ($5 each) = $85 x 24 = $2,040 Colocation and Maint Costs
Total Cost for 51 Miners, 27 owned PSUs and 24 Rented PSUs = $4,200.00

Profits per month = $7,007.26
Colo and Maint per mo = $4,200.00

Net = $2,807.26

Another factor is the increase in Bitcoin and the difficulty level over the next six months.

My Information:

I am with CKPool: Kano.is

Average Blocks per day over the past 4 months:
* Mar 2016, 129 Blocks, 4.16 Blks/Day
* Apr 2016, 134 Blocks, 4.47 Blks/Day
* May 2016, 126 Blocks, 4.07 Blks/Day
* Jun 2016, 132 Blocks, 4.40 Blks/Day
* Jul 2016, 127 Blocks, 4.098 Blks/Day

4.24 average blocks per day

Quick Math: Here is my average on my pool (CKPool) hit 4 blocks. My total Payout is $138.68 on average daily. $138.68 x 30 days per month = $4160.40.
$85/month for Hosting and Maintenance
30 miners
Hosting: 85 x 30 = $2,550
Profit = $4160.40 - $2,550 = $1,610.40 per month

Investment = $136,750
Profit = $1,610.40
ROI = $136,750 / $1,610.40 = 8.54 months

Where else can you invest with a 8.54 month ROI (return on investment)?????

Please do the math yourself as I may have made a mistake within these calculations.

The only question left is Why am I selling these miners? I am heavily invested in another company and need more capital. Let me know of any questions you may have in the investment or the equipment Txt:9374199617

Yep, you have made some serious errors with the calculations.

141 Th/s does about $95 a day right now with 100% luck and that will drop over time.  You might have done more in the past, but don't try to get some sucker thinking this will make $138 a day.  This will not make $138 a day and might not cover the hosting costs (with the luck at Kano over the last month or so I'm not even sure it will cover the hosting costs you mention).  If you want to sell them for something reasonable (think less than half what you are asking) PM me.
