today i just notice btc is going up and up
from 2 days there is significant up flow

what is causing this i guess more buyers?

I usually go on reddit to see if any good news have popped up. Seems there's nothing so I believe it could be just a random up trend.

It could have to do with the ETH crash and the successful testnet lately..

If it starts getting above 2850 CNY then I'll be excited.. Until then it's pretty much just in its trend.

Well this could be caused by the halving that is coming soon ;)
Many people speculated that the price will go up when halving comes, which mean many people right now are buying bunch of coins for the preparations for the halving :)

If you have spare money you can try to use it to buy bitcoin too, maybe you'll get lucky and get some massive fortune out of it ;D

more buyers than sellers, yes. this is just a speculation but I think that with the halving so close more people will hold their bitcoin in hope of a price rise after the halving.

the price only went up a few bucks which is nothing special. not sure why people get excited over this at all. probably because they are bored.

I think that traders are moving to bitcoin because of the decline recently with the etherum price, hope bitcoin will be even higher than now.

I think thats why the price of bitcoin is gradually increasing because of altcoin lisk and ethereum this 2 altcoin is going down and i think some traders are converting back again to bitcoin 100%..

I am glad to see a considerable rise in the price of bitcoin good the past few days but this is just the beginning and the apparent price rise is not much just a little bit. hope this positive trend will continue

I think that till halving we can see a gradual price increase, hope that it won't go down. But once halving is near the increase may be very high and after that it will show rapid growth.

Yeah, few dollars rise is experienced over the past days. Hope this would continue and give us a big profit after halving.

well, it is not yet a big rise, it is just a couple of dollars going up nothing too big. it might be because of the ethereum dump that all those money fly back to bitcoin could rise it a little bit, but also it is nearing halving which can cause it also.

It will go up in the future so please wait a longer time so you can make later good profit with Bitcoin, patience is really important in Bitcoin without that you cant earn money with it.
You never know when it will start rising and that is the bad thing so you can now trade or something to make some a little bit profit.

For those average bitcoiner they are really getting easily hooked even when there's $5-$10 increase. And yes maybe they are sick of the idling of price for at least a weeks.

Yes, more buyers now everyone has been started to be prepared for the halving and has started to buy and collect more and more bitcoin which cause the price to fly up and up and it will continue till halving.

If you check some of the altcoin trading platform like bittrex and poloneix you will see all altcoins have gone big dump few days ago. That shows people intend to hold bitcoin for longer period now hoping massive pump in price before upcoming halving.

Bitcoin is rising slowly so that is quite not that bad for the people who already have some Bitcoin because they can make some later profit and that would be nice.
But the bad thing is that you never know when the rising will stop so you have to also take some risks.

I think more buyers also affects the price increase of this bitcoin.
more buyers can make bitcoin prices to rise slowly, maybe they buy bitcoin because they want to use it for trading or gambling

Yeah, now it will go up and up, and the people who did not bought enough and waited a little , have now started to buy bitcoin so that to be benefitted with halving. and in this case the price is going up and up.

Now the halving is only a few month away from us and more people started to interest inbitcoin and adopted it for their use and for the benefit from halving and so with that the price of bitcoin increased.

Yeah, I have also noticed that bitcoin is now going up and up, I think the people now has accepted that the halving is near and sure. The news of halving was there from about a few months but the interest of people in it is occurring now.

The price of the bitcoin is around $450 now. If it breaks the level set in last December, it is on the up trend again.

It is a good thing that the price keeps going up and up because this is going to attract new Bitcoins users and maybe even old Bitcoin. I predict that the price is going to $500 with in the next month. It just has to happen for once. 

Rising price will eventually also grab the attention of the media channels.

But they will only report about the prise once Bitcoin is reaching new high levels.

Image what impact that will have on the price when these media channels are reporting that Bitcoin is going up and up.

It will attract hoards of get rich quick investors hoping to hit the jackpot before the block halving.

yes bitcoin can not be predicted exactly. bitcoin prices always move up and down quickly. bitcoin is unpredictable. everyone can not predict the price of bitcoin. bitcoin price is influenced by its users. the more you use, the higher the value of bitcoin.

Bitcoin price is influenced by traders on market. The more you use (spend) Bitcoin for goods will not influence the Bitcoin price directly.

i have been hearing the same sentence for the past couple of months the only change is the range. and over all if you look at the history charts of bitcoin price, you can see that the price has been rising then stable then again rising.

not only more buyers that means the coin is used allot in the past days. If everyone uses their

If the block size does not increase, the transaction fee will be higher, fewer people will use bitcoin.

We cannot truly say that bitcoin is going up at this stage as its still very stable since long time and I don't see any movement till we reach to the halving stage.

I think those rise happens last past weeks is due to effect of manny  people buying bitcoina because they know halving ia coming and the after effect of that is slowly rising but actually its to early for today if we predict in this early stage as you can see price go down again slowly and i wonder for this halving event if the price really goes up, but i see in wikis past history and chart that halving really have great effect for its price.

I think to be honest the bitcoin will be used a lot more in the future because of the popularity its gaining these days, people are joining the bitcoin everyday.

I have used bitcoin recently to buy some AMD graphics to mine some Ethereum, then I sell the Eth for BTC.

I think it will decrease soon a little bit but it will increase again back or more to 530 above.. so for those who holding bitcoin right now just dont panic to sell just hold it and be patience we will see the price until 700 after block halving..

The price is 575 dollars now. I think it will be higher than $600 this time next months. Then it will rise again.

It has started to move up again and its close to $750 now so we can expect the price of $800 in next few days and it will hit $1k at halving.

I think china is causing this, and also perhaps some people panic buy for halving, because it is getting close to halving.

It's normal for the price to go up and down several times a day. I don't see how this is bad. The short term focus is positive.

Bitcoin price past $700 mark last night, I think this round it will move to all time high, ie, surpass last high of 1200 or so.

It will reach $1000 in a few months. If it consolidates around the current level for a few weeks, $1000 is the price in 6 months.

I expected 1k next year. But if we reach 800- 850 before the halving and Britain will go out of the EU, the financial markets will give bitcoin a tremendous boost.

Well I agree that's a factor why bitcoin's price rise. Another factor why bitcoin's price rise today is because many investors started to trust bitcoin and they buy it so there's many buyers now compared to the buyers way back 2013.  :)

Price is going higher now only because majority of people are buying coins now, and they will continue to buy till the halving but panic selling can create an havoc after the halving.

You can indeed see now that Bitcoin is going to be more worth and that is really nice because many people are now holding it so that is nice.
And of course it is hard to know the right moment to sell it because the value is always changing.

you don't need to be greedy for selling bitcoin, and you shouldn't be.

if you want the profit just sell whenever you feel like this is enough for you, and enjoy the money.

but i suggest you to keep bitcoin and try using it instead for things like buying online.

Yes its really soaring but dont think it will still go up after halving because it might decrease or get stabilize as the hype will be gone too.

If Bitcoin continues to go up so fast like in the past weeks, it will also go down fast.

Reason: Such a fast uptrend can only be caused by speculation, not by adoption. When the uptrend takes a break, then many people will sell to take their profits. That can result in a crash and a new bear market.

But if the Bitcoin community manages to "catch up" with the uptrend by providing real services "for the masses" that justify the increase in price, then the uptrend can continue. But that would mean that the price must stay reasonably stable for some time (at least some weeks).

The actual little correction may be healthy, if we manage to stay in the price range between 600 and 800 for a while. If we go further down, all the uptrend may be in vain and we probably will see sub-500 prices again.

That's a key thing that people tend to forget. The price goes up fast, which means there is no stable floor.
Because it is going up this means not it stays like this forever.

The price can linger longer, and you never know the prices can stay here for awhile.

Yeah definitely. Right now the bitcoin price is stabilizing at around $750 or so and it seems like $700 is the new floor. I think it'll definitely go up once more in a mass scale before the halving.

When prices are raising all the people are happy and they wait for more rise so that they may sell for even more profit. Hence no selling results in more high price.But if price starts to dip then a panic is created and everyone tries to sell, which cause more decrease in prices.

I believe this, because I saw a few days back, prices are rising very fast and unpredictable.

I'd be happy with over $750 after halving. Even better would be 8-900 and then the enevitable sell off after halving by people looking to make a quick buck and take profits which hopefully can bring it to a stable 750+ In the weeks after.

2020 should be interesting for the next halving but there will be yet more hurdles and challenges to overcome between now and then. It'll be a hell of a ride.

The price is very high at the moment. Many of us have sold their coins, and others are holding.
I belong to the latter since i see enough room for bitcoin to grow more. Much more.

Exactly. That these floors work, we saw most notably in 2013 and 2014:

- first in the aftermath of the first rally of the year. Then the price went, one day, down to about $50. This number was the only time where the price was stable for more than a few hours (in fact, it was there about a week).
- in the 2014 bear market, the bottom was in the 150s. That was the price level where the Bitcoin price remained some weeks before the great October/November rally.

In 2016 the only floors of this kind I can see are: first, a strong one, at about USD 410, and second, a weaker one, between 560 and 585. If we see a real correction, I predict it will go down to one of these too levels - if we're lucky and the market stays relatively bullish, the 560 one, and otherwise the 410 one. I don't expect it to go lower than that.

The BTC price really increased a lot in a very small interval time. It's not normal for the coin price stability. I was very cheerful with the new BTC prices, but looking the possibilite to see the price going down again it's a bit worrisome.

It always depends on oneself could affect the price, however I deem that $1000 is near specially halving is near more and more people are buying BTC. We just have to hope that it would raise its value to higher than we expect for a better profit.

I think as long as there are buyer who's will to buy on the one who is selling, it will not really dump that big, cause a buyer who's to buy some coins is still a demand.

$1k is possible to achieve at the time of halving, as we are seeing price is moving up and down continuously and it will go high as we get closer to halving, but it may fall after the halving is over.

I agree.  Many people right now are aware of what bitcoin is and  its potential.  Thus, many people are buying and investing bitcoin as bitcoin is a really good investment.  I am part of those people who are starting to invest to this kind of cryptocurrency.

Just what I observed lately, the price is slowly making its way up again. Its just that it is really slow cause it takes 2-3 hour to increase it's value by $5.

The Bitcoin is keep rising and rising and this is a very good thing for the people that want to sell some of there coins to make some money.

the stable price was $450 with very tiny rises before it broke $500 and then everything speed up to get to $700+ which you can even consider this rise a mini bubble which has no other choice buy to burst and go down again. but the fall is never back to the initial price but a price above that so I guess $600 can be a good estimate for the bottom before another rise.

The $550 to 600 could be a near future bottom of the bitcoin price. I do not think it will go below that.

The bottom of the trading range could be $550 and the top of the trading range could be around $700.

i think that 1 thousand dollar price will be easily reached in the near future, in this way i would be able to make some decent money from bitcoin halving in my opinion

i think that bitcoin fell a little bit during the night when i was sleeping as it was 700 dollars before, in my opinion it should recover pretty soon and start making me some profit once again

As quoted price is highly expected to reach $800 as price was around $800 weeks back. Even if price don't touch $800 in short run possibly halving gives a big impact upon price to grab good profit.

   Anything can happen but if you are waiting for sell in  $800 you must continually be monitoring markets especially 24 hours before and after of halving day, a blink of an eye and already there was a significant variation. Similarly if you sell in $800 and price goes beyond you should not feel bad and if for some reason the price does not reach $800 you could sell a little cheaper or simply hold.

Yeah if you have certain target in your mind then you should sell it without any hesitation when it reaches there and after that if its goes higher then you should not regret.

Yes its going up and up, and I think it will go up like that in future. I`m sure we will see many more dumps also, its like that with btc from the start. And we can just try to guess when will it stop and stabilize. Bitcoin is growing, and that is visible to everyone. In that grow we see how price react on positive and negative things that happen. We need to see bitcoin much stronger in order to avoid this things, and I`m sure that will happen one day.
No one can say when, and until then people will earn from this ups and downs if they are know how, if not then buy bitcoins, put them on safe place and just wait.

Price is not ready to cross $700 at a moment but may be before 1 or 2 days of halving it will start rising and we may see higher price for certain time and that will be the time to sell our coins.

The Bitcoin was rising a good but a couple of weeks ago, the price almost reached $800 and many people were waiting for the price to reach $1000 so that they could sell.
