As owner who has lost btc over 50btc in less than 5 bets. I decided to create monodice.
Lately, people started to ask what is the purpose of the site. Since 2014, I have been trying to quit gambling and my way is very contrast to all others people.
I began by creating dice site alike experience and responsive. It helps me fulfill my addiction. I only beat my own house once with 1500 play-btc in pockets. I felt so good and then I lost it. Through this I have been learning myself in total different new way. I hope you CAN use my site to learn yourself too. Do you think this way can help people quit gambling? please share your thought and feedback.
(I do not try to promote the site, I do not make any profit. I spent my own money to keep the server up since 2014 for the hope of someday someone on earth will see it as a tool to quit gambling like I do.)

It's good if your gambling site makes you quit gambling, but i'm not sure how it'll help other? everyone wants to make real profit that's why folks gamble, the only motive of gambling is profit and fun for some.(those who are in for fun can utilize your site)
50 btc is a lot to lose :-\, when and where did you lose?

I think it is a good way but if you do not feel bored gamble alone on your own website and why you do not try to play gambling games on facebook or sites that provide opponent casino games without having to deposit.

So far I can see its normal Dice site without playing for real Satoshi only play money. Think this is similar to Dice with buddies on your phone or whatever Dice app/site.

If someone has problems gambling, its better that they go to professionals that can help them. I don't see gambling with "play-money" could help the people with gambling addiction, yes they will no loose money but this isn't the real problem for some of them. They need to stop gambling, if not they could fall gambling with money any day.

Well i don't think so that your free dice site is making gamblers think about gambling ,moreover it is encouraging them more as they can test up new strategies free in your site and later on try it on real gambling casino sites when they see it sucessful .

you have different way method how to quit from gambling but i think playing dice with virtual money won't stop me for do a gambling but fortunately i still can control my self and do a gambling just for fun but i hope if someone had try your method he will really stop gambling as you

I have seen you promoting your website in a thread, IIRC. To be honest, IMO, your website will never help people to quit their gambling addiction. This website will just accumulate the urge of the addicted people to gamble with real money. (Well, at least from my point of view.) Nevertheless, it's still a good website, though.

Well i don't really agree it will help the addicted to quit but somehow it is a good site to let the user understand that gambling is really hard yet at the right method, it will be profitable :D

If you really have a problem with gambling then let your parent or family help you to manage your money. This way you cannot use you money to go to the casino and just think about how your life will be if you lost everything.

Thanks for sharing. At least I am not alone here, someone is still seeing positive side of it. I feel this become more real and make my mind happy and flow in various emotional way. Next, set a goal and stop when accomplish.

You can report some issue or suggest  change that will enhance great experience . I want you to feel happy and feel personal as I feel right now. It is run my individual,so don't hesitate to talk to me. I'm looking for someone to enjoy this together!

First of all, would like to say, you made a simple but a nice site with functionality (even though it's just for fun). It's sort of similar to the idea (back in the days) that a similar cigarette that had nothing inside of it, and people tried it to stay away from the actual smoking and it had some effect (a little but still a positive one) and I think your gambling site might actually have the same effect too, but a minimal one (unfortunately) since the whole experience is still there and they still get to use it but surely it's better than have a chance of losing money in a real gambling site. Regardless of everything I said, great job ;)

Good concept.So basically you're asking one to gamble in order to quit gambling ? On the other end,I think the effects will be worse.this will indeed turn a addict to stop doing stuff here and continue with the regular dice sites.Reminds me of how cure to drug addiction was discovered.Make a drug which is more addictive than the previous drug so people quit the older one and that results only in addiction of the other.It's a vicious cycle.Hope this is not the case with your idea.

Your website might also encourage people to gamble more though. If someone comes to your site to gamble for fun, and say play with 50 BTC, and they double it, they might be encouraged to buy bitcoin and deposit real money on a dice site, hoping to make that same profit, and if they lose, then they will be down a lot of money, which isn't good and could lead to them wanting to gamble even more then they began with. I might come by sometime when I'm bored and gamble with fun money.

Even professional help sometimes doesn't work. It's the person himself who needs to find a way to stop playing and I can see many people are so used to it/addicted that they keep playing even without any money. The OP here has found a way to stop gambling by playing on his own site. It may not help others but it has worked for him which means it may work for others too just like playing in a demo mode. I used to try it to quit forex and it helped me to quit.

I also suggest the free gambling games for those who do not have more knowledge and enough experience in the gambling . Once a person get some skills and to be able to win easily, he should have to play paid.

So throwing yourself into the website helped distract you from gambling?

If your alternative site is also gambling to to cure your addiction that would not probably work. You have to fully stay away on things related to gambling because if you wont you will easily be tempted. Maybe just go for a vacation a bit and try not to visit any gambling sites for at least a month just to cool off my friend.

Not always what helps you, will help someone else. It may be even opposite. I'm glad it helped you, but to everyone who will try this method I recommend caution. If anyone feels that he has a gambling problem, necessarily have to go to a specialist, it is always the best way.

well, maybe a lot of you think that this method is not suitable at all to cure gambling addicts but different people have different ways to treatment. So far it works for the TS and maybe it will work for some of the unqiue cases. As long as the objective is to help cure the addicts, i would think this is a very good move.

Well as I see it: It is a new approach on trying to quit gambling. This method is probably used in the early way to ween off addicted gamblers in AA therapy. So if it helping those that use it, then use it I say. It is fictitious money anyways so what is the harm? I like it and will recommend it to anyone I know who has this similar problem and needs an outlet to slowly get them off gambling.

Maybe at the beginning of therapy it is helpful, but I would not be sure. I would compare this type of play to quit smoking (nicotine) and alcohol drinking by smoking electric cigarettes (containing nicotine) or just drinking one beer a day .. Addiction only falls asleep, so no one ever will be safe.

Gambling is like a drug do many people are addicted to it. You should never gamble because you need money that is the worse thing you can do because when you lose your last money you are in a even worse situation.

the problem is that those sites are not really giving away free money, they are either giving some tiny amount like the faucet payments or fiat $1 to play with or they are giving "bonus on deposit" which you should spend money to get that bonus.

The most simple ways that can be tried. But I think that this gambling could make someone getting addicted to gambling, because there are also people when he could memenangan gambling at one place, so they assumed that he had professional and finally they tried elsewhere and do huge bets until they are addicted at the venue

Playing dice game for free This is not the best solution to stop gambling or to quit and i think its better to go vacation in far places so that you can quit and forgot the gambling ....

So Op wan't so cure gambling addiction of others by... requesting that they play on his DICE site. I don't think that it will work like that.
As Op said he switched from gambling to development of this site - and that was the factor that kept him from gambling.

That is interesting story about quick loss but you picked very interesting way to quite your gambling habit and trying hard to keep quite your gambling habit and paying cost from your pocket, that is long period and you are looking very consistent with this way, keep it up your efforts and hope you will get soon.

G.A has a high fail rate because people talk about their big losses and it gets the bug going to go gamble. AA has a similar failure rate,people need to stop acting like it is the  all out saviour for those in need. If it works great but stats point to it not helping everyone and it makes those that fall from the program feel like they messed up worse.

Something that slowed me down was having my girlfriend control my finances to a extent and the other was to replace sports gambling with poker. Then I replaced poker with walking. Walking is now jogging and I can actually gamble without getting crazy like I used to. What I find interesting is how others find a way out of the cycle.

Something that happened after I cut gambling out was I started to eat! :D So thats why I started to walk.

Yes, it is the greed which have looted every person in the field of gambling. A person who once win a game he thinks to win again and again and in that way his/her greed make them lose all their wealth.

People gamble because of greed. They have an initial plan that if they win 1 btc then they will stop, but if that will happen they still long for another 1 BTC that's is why in the long run they lost. Just base on my experience, I won BTC in a day and came back the next then lost it all including my entire bankroll. You just follow your goal set and then stop, it takes a lot of discipline to be profitable in Gambling.

In relation of the subject, you cannot quit in gambling if you influence yourself with another form of gambling. The complete way to quit is to stay away from it.

Yep. Human greed is controlling you when you gamble. If you win, you always want to play again and again until you got no money left.

Even tho gambling is fun and such, but the risk is really high. It's better to not gamble ever.

Well if you can bet 50 worth of bitcoin in 5 bets gives you a lot of balls doing that and I already think that you're very rich doing that. And cool idea to make your mistake into your best way of earning back what you lost and go more.

The fact that he has balls is sure, but do not necessarily have to be rich. I know people who sold homes or took bank loans to play ..
It is the fault of addiction, people are just freaking out!

Is the OP ever going to come back to this thread or is this something he has washed his hands of,would really like a answer to one of my threads here on how it worked for him.
Being able to wash yourself from gambling is a tricky task and some one achieving this through a facet of gambling is very interesting to me.

Honestly if you are so addicted in gambling its very hard to remove it from your self.. just always think gambling is sin and always go to church and ask to father how you can stay away in gambling,.. or you can also try to go in psychiatrist they can give more solution..

People are often mistake courage with stupidity. It is not a bravery when you can fool with your money like that it is called being extremely irresponsible.
As you said: it is addiction which is showing through actions like these, nothing more. Don't try to copy behaviour like this.

Any addiction is bad regardless of what you do, and the more worst thing is to be addicted in gambling where you might be bankrupt is you are not lucky. Please in mind also that the key in gambling to stay up is consistency.

But in cases where seeking professional help didn't work, this might be something that could work

yes, a number of people here on gambling is because of their greed, they do not play there for any fun or entertainmennt but they play only to become rich within one night which is not possible even with any business, we have to struggle hard to earn to become rich and when feel boring we have to come to play games.

Thats true that most people is here because of greed, but threads like this are to remember them that greed is the best way to be addicted from gambling.
If gambling is good, so why so many people is looking for help because they are losing everything..? Games like this are to show that it is possible to play only for fun.

have you finally overcome totally when you set up this site and when you are operating it I doubt it,to get out of gambling you need a professional help the symptoms will always be there and would not likely to go away because you are still seeing those bets that will remind you of everything..

I dont understand why you are making this site for us. I think this is just wasting our time to play here you can't do anything with it, it seems that this is just for us to try new strategy which can be applied on real dice site. I dont say this is bad thing to do. No offend but I think this is really wasting our time though

It is simple, dont use it if it is only wasting your time. As what you said, this site is to try strategies on a dice game. So it is useful for players who want to play on dice game but still need to make sure how their strategy will work.
It is better to try a new strategy without risks than try new strategy with a risk to lose our real money.

I think that is new kind of strategy to get attention from some players by let them know about this gambling site, it is really very long and nobody can afford to lose his time to just keep running his gambling site because he is got addicted there better make your mind and place all your money other gambling site.

Because of addiction one has come up with a plan to get out of gambling. I believe his website might have got good traffic but only very few might have got out of gambling. In my view even if stopped now sure he'll involve later.

50 btc could make my life better and i know it can help lots of poor people and can make children from poor family to get better eduction. It is better to donate than to loss in gambling. Gambling just make your life worse, only play games for fun not for money. Sorry for you big loss, unrecoverable one.

I agree, that 50BTC you lost if you cannot afford it then it would really make your life miserable, we need to understand that gambling is not a guaranteed profit and that is for entertainment alone, better invest that amount that waste in gambling.
