At this I think it would be in the best interest of LTC & TRC supporters to leave btc-e. They are exploiting our good name for their petty schemes. :(

Ever since the 'admin' tag was added (which also correlated with the latest round of RUC noise) things have been a little strange.

I'm starting to get the impression that someone else is running the show now.

I just moved the last of my money out of BTC-e.

I am done with their exchange until this bullshit blows over.

Good luck to any of you who decide to put up with BTC-e's bullshit.

I pulled my LTC out of BTC-e yesterday. I'd say it is time to bring another exchange to life. CryptoCoin seems good but is underused.

http://exchange.zapto.org/exchange/1/2

They use to have a chatbox but I'm not sure where it has gone but maybe if we ask Martin (https://plus.google.com/106534817818824294067/posts) nicely he'll bring it back. Any alternative to BTC-e has to have a soapbox.

"You has been banned. 581 min left"

I has been banned lol. They can't even get the english translation correct. haha

I'm banned for talking about the facts.

FACTOID #1: NVC is using checkpointing based on PPC code which makes it centralized.

FACTOID #2: NVC premine of 110,000 coins was initially secretly sent to BTC-e from Balthazar. Upon Tacotime shining light on it, they admitted and called it a "Guarantee". lol

FACTOID #3: BTC is obviously trying to pump NVC up and make some money on top of the money they get for every TRADE made on their exchange. This is called GREED.

FACTOID #4: BTC is now censoring posts that speak anything of the facts surrounding NVC centralization and premine.

No I am not trolling.

When I specifically address the issues with NVC in btc-e chat and the owners there censor my posts, THAT is the last straw for me.

It is bullshit and stinks of a scam now for sure.

And you don't think for one second that BTC-e felt bad for getting the 110k NVC is why they just destroyed it? Try harder to make it seem that I ALWAYS troll.

I do post to get users to be wary of shady services and operations.

I have no idea how BTC-e feels about premined NVC.  Neither do you.

Why not take your suspicions to the Bitcoin Police?  I'm sure they'll be very concerned!   :D

You fail to realize that you can deduce people's feelings on a matter based on their actions.

Ever hear of the phrase: "ACTIONS speak louder than WORDS"?

Once again you fail.

This is like the time you freaked out over a silver bar that had a less than obvious marking and foolishly claimed it was made of copper or something.

The fact is you are once again getting butthurt over nothing other than your own malignant assumptions.

There is zero evidence indicating that BTC-E is anything other than a heavily used, successful, competent, and honest broker.

No need for me to backpedal.  You never answered my original question.   :-*

Well, so far this hasn't made it to the Scam Accusations board on here, I think if it did there would be serious problems for BTC-E. For example, I'm sure BitInstant would think twice about working with them. They are an American company that has to seriously watch their back concerning AML. The idea that there is an insider scandal going on would definitely make them reconsider working with them.

I am seriously considering making an official scam thread, but one of the last pieces I am trying to place is can the claim of coin destruction be proven?

Yes the claim of coin destruction can be proven. However someone else mentioned there are still 90K in premined coins left, which by the benefit of now having reduced the total number of coins in existence by 110K, are now even more valuable. Ironic.

In the post where BTC-E claims to destroy it, they show the steps you need to take to prove that it was destroyed. Basically they sent it to a valid NVC address, for which there is no valid private key. Meaning, no one could ever redeem the coins, they will sit forever in one place on the blockchain. It is somewhat similar to sending coins to an address by accident, but an address that no-one owns, thus no one will ever have the private key for. In this case, they needed to prove that no one has the the private key to this address first, so they create a public key that is valid, but is a public key that no private key would generate. If I understand correctly.

I read all that, but I still want proof.

Can I see this in a blockchain?

In they end, they say they sent it to an address, can I see proof they sent it at all?  Can I see proof that no one actually owns the address?

I admit that this part of the story may be legit, I just want to be able to see it, and I cant find where to view the blockchain
