I think the increase of price of bitcoin today is the promising start of the effect of the incoming Bitcoin Halving Event.. I heard that there's already some sites that is starting a countdown...
I think it's the time for traders to make money faster than before.

Due to the start of count down and the increase in price over the recent days we can't conclude as the halving effect has started. I believe it is the normal increase that happens often with price fluctuations.

Yeah, I noticed that. However, since I'm not doing trading on the Bitcoin price, it will ABSOLUTELY NOT change anything to my life. It might touch 1000$ that it wouldn't change anything except that I would be happy :).

Halving takes place, when the hype surrounding this event will pick up speed in the media. I am however not anticipating a huge price difference between the current price and what we will have

yeah,good news for today,bitcoiin price raise up almost 2.4% in this day,honestly i dont know that bitcoin price keep raise up start from 3 days later,and just now to knowing this price,very good.

not sure if today bitcoin price increas is effect from incoming bitcoin halving,this is just ordinary fluctuate price from bitcoin. lest find out what caused this price increase,but i wish the price keep to da moon.

I don't think you can state that it is the halving just because it starts to rise for a bit..

I agree that the halving will have an impact on the price, and that it could be starting now, but it doesn't mean that every single rise is the result of this fact.

Alts had nice upswings recently and after that it is almost always bitcoins turn. I think that is what we are witnessing now.

I think the halving is definitely the driving factor behind the price increase recently, and a lot of people are buying because of it looking like it is going to go up. I think I'm going to start buying really soon, this is astounding to watch.

Thats is good news to all bitcoiners  ;D  if the price is continuing go up its better to gain more profit..  But why ? What is the cause of price goes up? Because of the bitcoin halving or nah?

I do not think so. The effect of halving will be lower this time than the one in 2012 they are more existing cons now.

Price is rising slowly at a moment and the only reason is halving is in coming months which will make bitcoin price more attractive, so we can expect some best price at the time of halving.

Yes the bitcoin price is going up but I think it still need some time to go up to a higher amount honestly.
I think the halving will be the push to a high amount at the end of this journey.

The news that Steam will be adding bitcoin as a payment option will probably have something to do with a rise also.

I agree with this point of view.Halving is still one year away and there is not going to any price effect so early.I think people who sold few weeks back are now looking to buy back and this is the reason for price hike.I think it will fall again next week

The price already 450$.I think at halving it will touch to 1000$ very easily. Just wait and see the rise in the prices at a very fast rate

I'm thinking that the halving effect will ~10 weeks from the halving. People won't get the hype until a few weeks till the halving, because you know how impatient humanity is.

if bitcoin prices get lowered after reaching a certain point,  it happens then bitcoin will useless and not have worth. I think that time most of people will leave bitcoin.

i m agree with you, bitcoin price is increasing day to day, because of halving is coming, and mostly people want to use halving because it is a easy way to get profit without any hardworking, in halving your amount will be double.

Most of the threads are related to bitcoin halving only, Halving is best event in bitcoin which is happen in every four years.
This is event which is deciding the price, range, Adoption and many more. I hope most of the person will hold the bitcoins due to this...

This halving is gonna be awesome if it massively brings up the price. And it will get bitcoin some more publicity.

That is just beginning of the new era this time price will be skyrocket there, after some crisis when it was down so now all situation is clear and that the reason price is rising up slowly slowly, some economical surveys showing great future and it will cross $2500 before end of this year.

Agreed as of now the price rise today gives an effective start to bitcoin halving, the hype will be obtained within few weeks, halving can be a good chance for traders and merchants to make money.

Yeah, the price of bitcoin increase since two days ago until now. And i think it's because halving, and it will keep increase until the halving coming.

there are a lot of different things at work here that are causing bitcoin price to rise , the block halving is one of them which also has the biggest effect.
the recent rise IMO was mostly because of the ETH dump, and all those investors who got out of bitcoin to buy ETH are now comming back.

Yeah mate I am eagerly waiting Steam to include Bitcoin at checkout. Steam is the biggest online games retailer and Bitcoin will gain massive exposure to million of gamers around the world. If Steam offers also bigger discounts if we buy with Bitcoin this would be great. The 3rd party resellers of Steam gift cards and games always have had a premium on the prices compared to the Steam shop so now we could get cheaper games with Bitcoin through the official shop.

In another thread it is mentioned that steam is going to implement Bitcoin as a payment method.
That would mean immediatelly millions of new potential bitcoin users. And a sign that bitcoin really made a breakthrough in the payment market.
I think that makes some people buy now, because it will have a big climbing effect for the bitcoin price in the future most likely.

Thats very good to coin holders , I am one of them, looking to unleash them after the halving, if things going only in upward trend like now, I am sure it will be the price after the halving at least 700 USD per Btc, my only wish is I wish I had more than 15 bitcoins, that would be great, but still 3.5 which I own are not bad either and growing steady day by day. Oh the dream.

we are all excited about the price rise, mostly because we were waiting for this moment for such a long time and it is finally here.
and with the halving getting closer i think we are going to continue seeing these small rises.

Yes you can see indeed that the value is rising slowly and that is quite nice for the people who already have Bitcoin because they want to earn some profit with Bitcoin.
And maybe the time will come soon but of course it is hard to predict for what will happen with Bitcoin but you can make some risks to earn money with Bitcoin.

If you are not taking risks than you are also not to be able to earn some money.

Taking risk at this stage is not recommended as price will go much higher at the time of halving, so holding now is the right thing and selling at halving will be the best.

Really you don't have believe about it so you don't worry, its worth would take almost 1000$ after halving because you can see here continuously bitcoin worth is going up main thing bitcoin user are also increase so we can expect almost it.   

This is a good prediction IMO. I personally think that the price after halving will be slightly over $500 but I wouldn't mind if you were right. ) Also if those predictions about the price over $1k will be true I wouldn't mind too. )

good predidlction indeed but as i read by those many speculators they keep telling that the price of bitcoin will reach to 700$ or even 1k$ well thats very good news to use to be heard and surely many of use starting to earn right now because i can feel the halving effect comes the price is rising daily now as you can see its effect and im very excited to know what will be excited price if halving occurs.

Yup, the halving is a good time for any trader to sell their Bitcoin to earn a big profit.

i have no doubt about it, the bitcoin halving even is having a direct impact on the bitcoin price for sure and this is just the beginning, the next months are promising ;)

also maybe the ETH bubble have something to do too with the bitcoin price, but in general i think that this is cause just because of the upcoming halving.

I've been following the price all day and it's holding very well on the 450 area. If we can hold on this price for a couple more hows the FOMO will continue to kick in and we will keep seeing the price going up. 500 dollar area is way, waaaaay nearer than a lot of people think, and 500 dollar range being broken means a big psychological factor being broken, FOMO can kick really hard after that.

i agree, this is the start of the big incoming halving price rise that we are all waiting for. but the start doesn't mean we will see a boom in the following days. although it is still possible but i think it will take a little longer.

The OP predicted very well. The bitcoin is just over $460 now. It has risen about 10% in the last two months.

The price rise started the past week and now it has grown high and continuing to reach $500. As we are just $30-$40 away from bitcoin. Will reach within this month or by the start of may.

Bitcoin and all other cryptos are primarily driven through speculation, and this is no different. The difference is, no, it will not be dumped to $350 just because there is no logic or reason behind the price. Anyone can even argue that the rise is because sellers are now holding and waiting for the halving to take effect.

There are a lot of potential reasons, just because you can't easily link them doesn't mean they aren't there.

currently, the logic is that the price is increasing due to the block halving that is coming closer. not sure why you don't seem to realize that, but other people surely do as you see the price is increasing nicely.

Any halving effect should only start AT the halving--or else it's priced in already, which I keep arguing.  I think this is just speculators and we've seen it for years.  Good, though.

I don't think the halving price is set it. The overall rise seems to be newcomers finding new investment possibitlies and not some buyin because the halving will come.
The last halving nothing happened to the price, so why would it happen this time?

Nothing goes only up. At some point the price will stop rising as it finds a price point to settle at. A lot people are expecting the price to reach a high of over $1000 this year, but it won't happen. We don't have MtGox anymore to keep pushing the price up constantly.

The price will go up to 500. At least that's what I think. I do see room for the price to go higher, but that would be way to optimistic. Better to stay with some realistic figures.

$500 is a very conservative estimate, it could go mid-$500s if there is momentum still left in the market to push it upwards still.

There was a Bitcoin bubble in 2014 and 2015, but this increase has reasoning behind it aside from speculation. Expect the new buy wall to be set at 0.85x the value of Bitcoin at the halving. There is no Mt. Gox to burst this, it is entirely backed by a decrease in supply for a bigger demand.

If many more people start to use the bitcoin, the bitcoin will be valuable. So the price will rise. The price rise will attract more people.

The Bitcion price is rising for a while now but is not rising pretty slowly if this goes up I am not sure if we are going to make $500 this month. The price has to rise a bit quicker for it to actually happen.

The price rose to $478 in Bitstamp. That is highest in 6 months. So it could be a good sign for the next few months.

I think the year end price will be double that of the year 2015. So it could be in the range of $750 to 800.

why those months? It rose before halving as everyone trying to cash in and now it will drop like any speculative stock. It's not worth the current value. should settle lower.

Well there is also a benefits if ever the price decrease because of bad news, and that is the chance for other to purchase again at low rates.

For a people who does have any connection with any of the bad news (like that person have an active trades to an exchange then that exchange turned to fraud etc), then that is different story.

There is no certaintity about whether we will see bad news or any bad event like recent hack on exchanger in future so bitcoin future is quite uncertain. However the strong rebound of price from below 500$ to again 600$+ within a week showing amazing support. So may be we will easily see 1000$ per coin by next year.

There is never any certainty about whether or not there will be any bad news or anything will happen, we just have to speculate and hope nothing really happens. As long as exchanges stop getting hacked and the market has some time to move upwards and rebound, there is definitely the potential for $1000 by sometime next year.

Anything is possible with bitcoin but looking at current trend I think it will go higher in coming months as people started to buy again when they saw price drop after bitfinex scam.

I do not think it will take that long for the bitcoin to reach $900. It will take less than 6 months for the price to be $900.

$600 will be achieved very soon and we should not be worried about that but to be honest we are expecting to see much higher price of bitcoin in coming days.

Basically yes. They are not used to hold for long. If they want to make such action, they can start it and because most in the community can easily bait even with less price margin, they will ride the trend.

That's why we must never be late in case they started a succesful trend.

That's why we need to come up with any strategy on how we will deal on bitcoin price active volatility. How come other person really getting decent profit out of this risky method? Focus on any investment and everything will be fine.

For me 1k value is new goal but its impossible that the price will reach at this point its impossible the happen in this year right now because we already failed bitfinex already been hack also we are expecting to increase more when block halving is done but right now there is not effect only block reward is change.. and also our supply are change..
