PokéBits is a unique Bitcoin Browser RPG styled game. You begin with 5 energy to complete missions with and earn Satoshi while doing so! You regenerate 1 energy every 3 minutes, which you can use to complete missions! In order to unlock new missions you must complete 100% of the previous mission before the next mission will unlock. Mission rewards gradually get higher the more you progress. When you level up, your energy is restored and you gain +1 energy to your max amount, giving you the ability to do more missions more often with each level you gain!

To do a mission visit the Missions page, click Do Mission and wait the required mission time. Once you've waited the mission time requirement, visit the missions page again and click Claim to earn your reward!

Some of the missions rewards are too low comparing to time you have to wait. Mining set is not clear enough. Lets say someone wants to invests around 0.05 how much he profits daily?

500 A day is just from the mining level. There's a thing called missions where you can earn over 1000 + Satoshi an hour depending on your level.

Your faucet is quite interesting. I am happy to see you are continuing to work on it. Too bad that max level cap though... I know you cannot provide for unlimited energy (as it would make the faucet too fast earner) but, perhaps you could allow for higher levels and provide a small daily mining bonus, or a faster energy refill (5 seconds earlier refill for each level after 11 for example).

Changed the Mining Level coding:

Capped the level to the mining shop at level 10, this earns 5,000 Satoshi a day.
Removed deposits to purchase Mining Shop Levels.
Added Purchase Mining Level Button from mission balance.

Since the coding was changed, all deposits made to the mining shop have been added to that users balance.
Users can either withdraw their deposit, or purchase mining levels again.

Thanks for the comment, I plan on continuing to work on it and getting it up and running smoothly. As it's still in Beta there may be constant changes trying to balance things out -- mission rewards, timers, energy, etc. As much as I'd love for unlimited energy to be given, it's just not possible at the moment as it could in essence, give unlimited earning. I'm still trying to think of an alternative to this, as a few users have asked about an energy recharge for a Satoshi fee.

I'm trying to find alternatives to some missions, maybe have some give less reward but more experience as a substitute, though leveling is already quite quick for users who do play for a decent amount of time. There are a few who are almost at max level at this moment.

Fixed a bug on the mining shop, you get 5% commission on each of your referrals mining shop upgrades.
Added more missions.

I know that's not what you had in mind...

but how about you expand your project to include actual pokemon capture/battles ? You can also add farm-like elements with egg breeding.

you don't have to implement THE WHOLE GAME, just let us have different pokemon and see their sprites would be super nice and would bring in people!

maybe you can make a "go to tall grass" button, have pokeballs for sale, etc.

please think about it, I love faucet-games and I like pokemon, it would be perfect :)

I'm actually working on being able to gather some pokemon from missions, I'll also try to incorporate getting them in other ways also. It would be nice to find someone who knows coding and would like to bring in some new game elements to the faucet. I do plan on expanding the faucet game more and more though!

Since users were asking to receive some commission from referrals doing missions, I added the 5% referral earnings for all missions claimed. Users can now also start collecting Pokemon from certain missions, I plan on having eventually adding all 151 Pokemon at some point in time. Right now I will begin to slowly add Pokemon to the database, and some should be available to gather from certain missions.

I'm in the process of redoing the missions, so some missions that used to not be locked, may now be locked. Keep in mind the game is still in Beta and things are subject to change. Once the game is ready for launch, missions may be reset though levels and everything else will remain the same.

Ive checked on my mobile again and its much better now. I appreciate alot. Its more improved everyday. You have a good potential on this game.Ill start to bring some refs. Are we limited on pokemons cos i cant go furthermore than 4 though i redo the mission many times ?

Pokemon missions only have 1 Pokemon reward attached to them, so they're scattered out through different missions. :)

It is meant to have some labour, you're getting free money to play a game.
It's the equivalent of completing a Capthca, if you'd like, I can add a Captcha and make it more labour intensive. :)
Remove one step, add a Captcha on each claim, and adding the Captcha would make it even longer to claim as some involve clicking images.

They even tell you when you hit Do Mission: Wait X amount of seconds to claim.

I do not want to add a Captcha system, as it would require recoding of the missions structure, and would add more time to each mission for a user to complete said Captcha on every mission on every Claim. This is a lot harder than just simply clicking Claim.

To complete a mission 100%, you have to do the mission 5x times. So if you think about it, that's 5x Captchas per 1 mission that you would have to do, every single time you go to claim it. The higher the levels later, the more you also earn for doing a mission.

How the Energy Refill Works:
The Energy Refill button refills +1 Energy every 5 minutes. When you click the button you're taken to an ad.fly page where you have to wait 5 seconds, after the 5 seconds is up click [Skip Ad] and you'll be brought back to PokéBits and you'll have gained +1 Energy.

Users wanted an Energy Refill, and this is the best alternative I could think of without having to charge Satoshi for refilling some of a users energy.

my first try on energy refill lead me to a automatic downloading of an .exe file. it's really dangerous.

It's whatever someone advertises on adfly.
I have no control over what ad they display.

The same thing could happen if I had put popunders on the website also, as many of them lead to downloads and other annoyances.

Fixed a missions display bug on mobile.

Trying your site now, looks nice, makes me remember a bit of Pokemon Crater game :)

I hope to make some good profit here, let's see.

i have just face the screen 'account suspended'. hope there is no big issue and this game will come back soon. this is one of very few games which i'm still playing.

It was done by the hosting company.
According to them the website was under a DDoS attack so they temporarily suspended the hosting to see if it would help.

You should look into getting CloudFlare if you're getting DDoS attacked often. There are times where I will be playing on your game, and then the site will all of a sudden come to a standstill. Is this a shared server? Is it your site that's getting attacked, or another site on the same server?

Namecheap is a crap host to begin with for the most part.
Currently migrating hosting providers and will be restoring the database.

For me the game isn't working yet, don't know if it's only happening here...

If it's general, can you say when the game will back?

Hosting migrations could take up to 24 hours, and database restorations need to ensure there are no errors when re-launching the site, so it could be a bit. Be patient :)

For the record, I am going through PokeBits withdrawals, as well lol

The website is up though right now doesn't have an SSL so https will not work at the moment.
I am waiting for the hosting provider to set up a dedicated IP so that the SSL will work.

Once the SSL is back up and running PokeBits will be live again.

game has come back but i can only claim my reward from my last mission and can't do anything else. there is warning:

I believe that admin is currently working to get the game and new server integrated properly and the database restored. What sounds like an easy job could very well be difficult, especially if a different version of php from the last server.

No, none of the users data was impacted, though users who referred during this time were lost as the backup we restored was prior to PokeBits going down.


Yes, the current host we switched to, the admin took almost 2 days to give us a dedicated IP in order to use SSL. Then once hosting was available, there was a bunch of bugs that went along with it. Sadly we had to migrate to yet another host from there.

The game is back up and running, everything is functioning as should be, though I will continue to monitor for any bugs. Once everything is back up and running smoothly, I'll begin working on other pages / finishing missions. I also have to get an email back up and running, as of right now there's no support email.

I'm glad to see that the site is back, but it seems to be running a bit slower than your original host. Any way that you'll be optimizing it in order to make sure that it will be fast again, or is this something that we'll have to deal with?

The original host was on a shared server through Namecheap, but kept blocking the website as they said PokeBits was constantly under DDoS due to so many users being online. Right now I'm trying to optimize the website as it's running on a droplet through Digital Ocean.

If I can find a better host at a decent price, with DDoS protection, then I'll migrate....yet again, if I cannot solve the loading time issue.

I tweaked the settings earlier, which could be the cause of it running slightly faster. I'm hoping this is the cause of the faster loading time for users.

Hey, I reached to level 12 and my energy limit stopped increasing.

Is 15 energy the limit or will it increase later on highest levels?

15 is the energy cap as of right now, as a user can easily earn 1000 + Satoshi an hour with it, not to mention the increased Satoshi from when energy is refilled upon leveling up.
Depending on the last missions I add, I may increase the energy cap to 20, but not more than that as I don't want to go broke before the game is even popular.
I've already sank a bit into development, and haven't even come anywhere close to breaking even.

Not to mention when I add a battle system, users will be able to earn Satoshi that way, and since it's not dependent on energy it will be another way to earn while waiting on energy to restore.

A battle system? My friends would love this if that's added. Have you made any progress on that or just announcing that you're working on it?

I've begun coding the design, and announced the idea / platform to my developer. Waiting on his response and we will hopefully get started on this in the next few days.
Not to mention I've been trying to save Bitcoin for the development of it.

EDIT: Oh, I guess you changed it to where it displays how much more experience you need until the next level. Can you possible change the text to "Until Next Level" instead of just "Next Level"? I think this would help alleviate some confusion. Thanks!

I figured users seeing their Next Level exp going down when they complete missions would be an evident sign their experience to level up goes down as their experience rises from doing missions lol.

It's actually quite confusing, and a bad userflow... Most users are conditioned to having a target, rather than following a countdown. Countdown are only good when they are live, such as countdowns that indicate a timer. With a statistic like experience points, it should be a target number. But it's your game, and you can do with it as you wish. But if you're going to keep the current method, you're definitely going to need to be much more specific; hence my suggestion above of adding the "Until" before it. Otherwise, to be honest, I would just change it back to know what the target EXP is.

and that was the right decision, animated gifs is ways better than static images.
i have just reached Route #12 - #15 & #21 region with 3 'Capture a Wild Pokemon' missions in a row! so the update came just about the right time for me! awesome!

game is being unstable. i have suffered '404 Not Found' several times today.

No upgrade to energy as of yet, been working on getting the battle code ready.
Will be increased in the future.

404 could be due to needing to upgrade the server droplet on Digital Ocean. Will look into it.

I saw it just once when upgraded to level 21. But it was a bug because it happened only once and the "extra" energy didn't count, unfortunelly hehe.

i have reached the end game. there is only 7 badges which are available to obtain, not 8, and the total amount of pokemons is really low, can't catch them all! :(

The only thing that changed is the mining shop payouts and price were decreased by 50%, and the mining cap raised to level 25.
All users mining shop levels were doubled for compensation.

I thought the integration and introduction of the username/registration feature was going to screw things up, but it was pretty seamless.

Earth Badge of Viridian City Gym is the missing one, i have obtained all the other 7 badges, as i said i have completed every missions, all 100%, Viridian City Gym too. but i'm ok with it, Earth Badge is not my favorite anyway.

Added ability to choose your starting Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle.
Added equipped Pokemon display on main dashboard.
Removed ability to obtain Bulbasaur from mission.
Removed Bulbasaur from users who obtained him through missions.

Someone had asked for the ability to choose a starting Pokemon, you can now choose one of the three listed above on the main dashboard page. I had to remove Bulbasaur from all users who obtained him through missions as to not interfere with the choosing your Pokemon coding.

The Pokemon display tab has been moved to where the Battle system will be. When users first begin the game they can choose a Pokemon to begin battling with until they find more in missions. The three you can choose from can only be obtained in the game through choosing them there, as none of the those three are available in missions.

Later on the game there will be some kind of trade system, so users can buy / sell Pokemon to obtain different Pokemon that cannot be obtained through missions.

Yes I try keeping it updated as often as possible, especially since a lot is still being developed.

aw man, so early players like me is stuck with Bulbasaur. i really wanna grab that Squirtle. but i think we will have the chance to 'catch them all' in the future.

You can choose squirtle. I choosed here. Go to dashboard, look to the left and there is an option to choose the initial pokemon.

Nope, since in the game Bulbasaur could not be obtained through missions, he was removed from everyone, as you now get to choose the starting Pokemon on the main dashboard page.

Changed mission countdown timer to not refresh page, instead it shows claim Button to claim without the refresh.
Launched the Battle Arena, users can now use Stamina to Start a Battle or Challenge other players.

• Stamina regenerates every 180 seconds.
• To start a Battle it costs 1 Stamina and 250 Satoshi.
• Lose a battle, lose 250 Satoshi, win a battle and win 250 Satoshi.
• Both the battle starter and challenger wager 250 Satoshi to battle.
• Different Pokemon have different stats, yes stats matter!
• View the Battle Log to see past battles and their information.
• Stamina can be upgraded. +1 stamina starts at 10,250 Satoshi and goes up each purchase.

Added a few missions, more will be added soon.

More upgrades will come in the future, as of right now the Battle Arena is being tested and Pokemon stats may be adjusted, though the stats have directly come from the actual game, without having all 151 Pokemon released yet, some Pokemon may be the best at this current point in time and will win a decent amount of the time against players. Yes, the stats of both players Pokemon are taken into account with the Battle System. You can't expect a Pokemon with weaker stats to be able to take on a Pokemon with high stats and win.

So, the battle only happens if two players accept the confront between them?

And I need to wager 250 satoshis to win more 250 satoshis only? (If I win)

The only way a person can enter a battle is if they A. Start a Battle for another player to Challenge, or B. You challenge another player who has started a battle.
Both parties wager 250 Satoshi on the battle, the winner takes all 500 Satoshi as victor.

The reason about the Start Battle / Challenge is so that if a user does not want to participate in Battles, his account cannot be farmed.

I originally had the win / loss as a %, but say you only have 30 Satoshi, and your opponent has 10,000 Satoshi. Prize for the victor would be say 10% as an example. You're only risking 30 Satoshi to win 1,000, which wouldn't be fair to the person who is risking 1,000. So I had to come up with something where a user gets something from winning a battle that is fair on both players.

Ok, understood now. I just think highest level players will farm the lowest players that will try to create a Challenge. They won't have many chances. Maybe you can set a countdown time for each pokemon. Exemple: If I used articuno, I just can use him again in the next hour. So, stronger pokemons can't be always used, forcing the player to use many different pokemons.

You do make a good point about higher level players farming lower level players with early starting Pokemon. I will try to think of something so this doesn't happen. At this point in time I wanted to get the battle system out as I promised as I did say it would be released either yesterday or today.

Maybe I can add Battle tiers based on player levels.

This sounds like the best solution to me. Loving all the updates you've done over the past week! The site has changed so much and it's all improvements. Plan on inviting some friends to battle now.  :)

Yes I will have to figure something out tomorrow so that it's fair for all level tiers for users who just begin and haven't collected any Pokemon yet. I do want to keep the game as fair as possible.

Updated Battle System, Pokemon now have tiers: Tier 1 and Tier 2.
The Battle Trainers table now refreshes itself every 2.5 seconds so you'll no longer have to refresh the page to see new Battles.


Battle System Changes:

Tier 2 = Strong Pokemon

Tier 1 cannot attack tier 2, and tier 2 cannot attack tier 1.

This should add more fairness to the battle system, and new players won't have to fear about higher level players with Tier 2 Pokemon attacking them.

Released Poke Mart.

At the Poke Mart you can buy new Pokemon. This was released today as another way to obtain more Pokemon that aren't obtained by missions. Later on I will be adding more missions to obtain more Pokemon. Pokemon that evolve by evolutionary stones can only be obtained through the Poke Mart. Possibly in the future there will be a feature to buy evolutionary stones to evolve Pokemon that can only be evolved in such a manner.

At this point in time I have to think of a way that can be incorporated.

I wanna know how much we can go further with stamina ? I tried to upgrade it. It was 6, costed me 10.000 sats and still 6 ?

You have to wait for your Stamina to refill.

If it is 6 and you purchase +1 Stamina, you now have 7 max Stamina and have to wait for the +1 to regenerate.
I raises your max stamina cap.

 Im at level 30 and i dont have any stronger pokemon than Moltres(i dont have Moltres too). So whichever pokemon (even i have tier 2 pokemons) i choose ill not win any battle there, also they will always win against me whenever i start a battle with my strongest pokemon?? Thats very awkward.

They got Moltres from one of the end game missions.
Also, if you attack a Pokemon with the same stats, you have a 50% chance of winning / losing.

now the arena is full of Mewtwo, and when my Moltres come out it will be hunted down immediately by Mewtwo. Moltres can still be beaten by other pokemons sometimes, but Mewtwo is unbeatable.

So whoever buys a mewtwo he wins all. I was planning to buy one but rewards got smaller ( i know why, thats okey cos of btc price graphics) but its gon take more time to gain almost 10.000sats. Site is improving everyday im sure admin figure more out about this as well..

there are only Mewtwos which fighting each other now and the winning rate is 50/50. spend 90.000 satoshi, you must win 360 times for your investment to return, when most of players don't wanna fight anymore, i think. nah, i won't buy it. it's just broken.

Lol, 100K satoshis paid by ONLY one faucet/site is a good amount. If we had more sites like that paying good amounts would be nice for faucet users. Now the rewards on PokeBits are low, the game isn't working fine... I hope who buys it make some updates to make it worth again.

I agree with you. There have been pretty nice games before like satoshi cannon and satoshi farm but the dissapeared once their AdSense account was banned.

The game is not bad. A good idea to use Pokemon as ota bring in peoples interest very easily and the website is not bad the games works well and its much better the a faucet so I'm not surprised there hundreds of registered and regular member.
