Title: Be careful! E-Coin/WirexApp may be turning to a scam
Post by: uniquark on May 15, 2016, 03:13:54 PM
It's just my impression and it's up to you to decide. For me, it started looking similar to past scams. WITHDRAWAL DELAY!

1. They've imposed a 3-day waiting period for withdrawal without any notice or warning. It eventually became 3-workday. It may become indefinite. You won't find any notice or warning about it on the website, even now. This kind of changes must be notified to users. But they keep it silent untill someone writes a support ticket.

2. Stopped answering support tickets. They may have been receiving too many tickets or just decided to ignore.

PS: E-coin workers don't need to send angry pm to me. Solve your problems and notify your users. Place warning on your website. It's very easy to place a html tag <p>Notice: 3-day waiting period</p> if you don't know how to add a html tag :).

I couldn't agree more on this one honestly . I'm not using them as I used to be since I don't have any projects at the moment but I do have funds there and I had an issue with Pending deposit etc ... but I do see a lot of complaints .
But well , I personally think that giving heads up to the Bitcoin community sometimes is like speaking to a wall since they won't give a shit and they will only cry after getting screwed (Mt.gox and other exchanges getting hacked is the best example for this).

Withdrawl delay has always been frist sign of exchangers or bitcoin related service which are facing some financial problem or trying to pack bags and run away. But i have seen lots of marketing and also e-coin rebrading to wirex recently. Why they try to rebrand if they are trying to scam. I have doubt but i can't fully say they will be turned out to be scam in near future.

I hope so. But I'm very certain that they are having some financial problems. Why else would they delay our funds without any notice? They may have spent too much on marketing or got hacked. Anyway it's better to be careful.

I used E-coin in small amounts only - less than 50$- and I did not face any problem while withdrawing, it was instantly once I confirm it from the e-mail. I hope they will solve your issue soon and they wont turn scam

I left e-coin/wirex when I found out they charge to large conversation rate. So high that it don't make sense to use them for an online credit card but chose a more settle company with better rates and a much better reputation.

Yeah. Conversion rate drove me away.

I don't see any warnings about it on the site :-/

What other debit card providers allow 2-way exchange? I tried a few but all of them don't let us buy btc with our debit card fund.

Guys, why spread the panic for no good reason?

1. This change has been communicated in several e-mails sent to ALL users. Are you receiving/reading those?

2. We are currently experiencing a large inflow of support tickets, and response times are longer than usual. Again, this has been communicated and explained in an e-mail to users, and there is no reason to worry

we are aware of the issues with pending deposits and working on them.
It has nothing to do with anything you mention, purely technical things whilst we are developing the platform.
no reason for worries or assumptions

Are you guys going to make the loading card instant again OR NOT?

My card is cancelled with 310$ .. withount any notification..

now im trying to get back my btc and send it to Xapo.

if a card is blocked, it's blocked by the issuing bank, not by E-Coin. In most cases there is a good reason for that, although sometimes there could be a misunderstanding on the bank's part.

You need to contact support@e-coin.io so that we address the issue to the bank

Are you guys going to make the loading card instant again OR NOT?

it is and always was instant. If the load does not take place instantly, there is an issue - please, address it to support (avoiding sending multiple e-mails on the same issue, as it only causes delays).

As said, there is currently quite an inflow of support tickets, so, response times may be longer than normal

No, e-coin has never sent any notice to anyone. Is there anyone who has received a notice of change about the withdrawal delay? NO. So stop trying to lie. Why don't you post a notice on your website? It's been more than 2 weeks since you imposed the withdrawal delay. Just put a warning on your website. But apparently you don't want to. Why? Because you need our money. All liers say "Don't worry", but it assures nothing.

Debit cards are an extremely ripe area for scamming. I think in peoples' minds having Visa or Mastercard glued on there sounds super legit. In reality it looks like any old donkey can get on board with them.

I am curious - is it possible for old Debit/Credit Card numbers to be recycled? For example, card number 400x was first used in 2005 and it was blacklisted for card fraud and cancelled. Is it possible the same number will be recycled in 2016 again? What will happen in that scenario?

I almost fall for it when i heard about them, lucky I just don't have much coin to them so i didn't register. I'm still eager to have a debit card just to brag to friends  ;D

please, post or PM your registered e-mail and we will forward the notice e-mail(s) to you.
If you have not received or read them, doesn't mean they had not been sent out, and especially doesn't give you a right to post ungrounded accusations, let's all respect each other and not throw around strong statements without being sure

No, you haven't sent any notification to anyone. You'd hidden it until someone has written a support ticket. Just read how many people has complained about this on your topic. Have you also forgetten that you pm-ed me this:

"mate, we cannot publish every single fact about every single change - sometimes there is just no time for that, and, more importantly, some things are sensitive and not for public domain."

What the hell? It's your obligation to notify your users any change of terms. What you are doing is a deception.

BIG QUESTION: WHY HAVEN'T YOU PUBLISHED A NOTICE ABOUT THE WITHDRAWAL DELAY ON YOUR WEBSITE? AND DECIDED TO WHISPER ABOUT IT ONLY BY A SUPPORT TICKET?

I have also experienced these withdrawal delays, Btc clearing and balance not being updated, ordering a card and not receiving the details via email.
But from the emails I received they always say it was because of updates or something to do with their servers.

Having so many people complain at the same time is a warning signal. Why 3 days withdrawal delays? This is online service, what kind of delay are you talking about? You do not let people have access tot their money!

btc => your debit card =>  btc => wait for 3 business days to withdraw

What are the good alternatives to E-coin? I understand Bitgold has debit card option and you could fund it with BTC. Likewise, Bit-x option seems decent. Haven't try it out though.

I'm also looking for, but e-coin is the only one who offers btc=>debit => btc, 2-way transfer. It seems like Spectrocoin is also going to start doing that, unfortunately I've no idea when it will become available. I sometimes use cryptocoin's card. They don't offer 2 way transfer but their service is solid.

Just got a pm from gosha@e-coin, a E-coin employee:

"
Hi mate,

1) have you lost any money with E-Coin?
2) have you had any of your requests not answered? (there are some delays with answers, but mostly due to people overreacting and sending dozens of tickets on the same issue)

I don't think either is the case. Why be so negative and persistent then? Are you being paid by competitors? Or do you actually represent one? Not cool, to say the least. Freedom of speech is good, but it doesn't mean we don't have to think before saying something
"

1. I haven't lost any money. I finally withdrew all my money after waiting for 4 days.
2. I haven't been paid by anyone.
3. All the problems we've been facing are real.
4. Be transparent if you make changes like withdrawal delay and inform your customers before they put their money into your website/app about that. Don't do shady things secretly.
5. Don't be rude to your customers. Be more thoughtful.

1. Then why use the words like "scam"?
3. We never said there were no issues - we are aware and are working on them, and have notified all customers via e-mail with explanations
4. Can only repeat again: we have been sending out e-mail updates. You must have not received one - maybe it's your spam filters or something. Nothing was shady. Nothing was done secretly.
5. No comment. Just check your own posts and replies - "thoughtful" would be indeed good to see..

I'm now considering to buy a physical card.

Unsure why admin of e-Coins would send out such messages to their users. Regardless whether the nasty messages are posted by competitors a not, admin should just keep cool and proceed to address issues.

Delay is an issue. It should be resolved.

Is this confirmed? I've been using my debit card from e-coin for a while now, about 3-4 months I suppose, and there seems to be not much of a problem.

I use the card behind Paypal, and of course, I only load it when I need to pay for something.

Is this confirmed? I've been using my debit card from e-coin for a while now, about 3-4 months I suppose, and there seems to be not much of a problem.

I use the card behind Paypal, and of course, I only load it when I need to pay for something.

if you look at all the hype and noise a bit more carefully, can see that it was all created by one member here, who has not lost any money, just overreacted to a couple of issues which had been 100% resolved.

So, when making any conclusions and decisions, please, base those on facts and your own experience, rather than such hype and noise.

If you have any issues or problems with the service, please, PM and we will make sure to have support address them (if any)

Be careful! E-Coin/WirexApp may be turning to a scam

Be careful! don't withdraw paypal money to visa e-coin card !! AFTER 7 DAYS STILL WAITING FOR THE MONEY TO APPEAR IN MY E-Coin Account

e-coin support :

We can answer any questions about our service, which is loading the card with Bitcoin.

It is possible to load the card using 3rd party services like PayPal, but you need to contact those 3rd party services with specific questions.

Usually such kind of transactions takes up to 5 business days.

Kind regards,
E-Coin Team

seriously, could you at least take some time to read the reply and study the subject before posting such comments? This is just incompetent.

You can load the card via PayPal, but we have NOTHING to do with that. You do that directly, right? We have no influence or control on such transactions, if there are any issues, it is PayPal you need to address the with.

We can, if there is a significant delay, address the problem to the issuing bank and they might be able to help, but with 99% probability the problem is on PayPal's side.

this company is realy a scam or they going to go on that way ....
first when they start as E-coin , they told every one we could ask as many cards we wish , without verification
then after a while they start cancel the cards , ( speaking about my account ) with money in , cards ordered , they accepted all the money and then never sended noting !
always with the talk like  bank calceled cards because we need some kind identification !
well what u guys advertise in the beginer ?
im realy dissaponted with your services ... debit cards prepay cards anyone in this world can get , if they have at least one ID . so why do we need to use your services , when you guys not doing the job correct , you guys come blame costumers who have mltiple accounts, then block account with money inside , always with a poor excuse was the bank ... naaaaa, no one will belive that anymore.
IF people want get prepay cards to register they will trust more in do it in the shop with the top companys , then yours ,... only because you guys do bitcoins ? never mind... there is many ways to convert bitcoins into another coins and then top up that prepay debit cards
with this all just to WARN THE OTHERS LIKE THEY ASK FOR IDENTIFICATION , WHEN THEY SAID TO US ALL , WE COULD SPEND THE LIMIT OF THE CARDS AND THEN ORDER ANOTHER ONE , THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM
PEOPLE START TO LOOK FOR ANOTHERS COMPANY AND LEGAL ! ACCEPETING PAY PAL , EURO DOLLAR ETC... . DONT EVEN TRUST ON WIREXAPP
they at the end are always lying to us all ....
even to ask virtual cards they tell us to lie and order as many we want with different address and emails accounts !

e-coin is scamming.

I have deposited bitcoin then attempted to transfer to virtual cards, not exceeding the monthly or daily limits.
The money was taken and not returned or put on my virtual cards.

I contacted support, and was told I have reached a "lifetime limit".
I am guessing my account itself as an overall limit?
Because a brand new, unused EURO card was not letting me load.

The error message did not say I reached a limit.
It said unknown error.

Customer support told me I reached a "lifetime limit".  That is not true, it said "unknown error" and I have used the service for over 1 year now.

I also had canceled 1 virtual card, only to later receive a $650 REFUND from amazon, sent to that card.
I explained everything to e-coin, asking for that money to be returned to my account.  They did not reply at all do that.

Is there any other alternative to e-coin?

is your issue still unresolved?

please, do not throw around accusations before getting to the core of the problem. The issue with card limits is related to the card issuer rules and limitations, nothing to do with E-Coin/Wirex...

we are currently working hard through the ticket backlog, hence the delays. Not saying it is normal, but that's reality for the time being. Will hopefully sort everything out within the next few days.

Did ask for your e-mail to facilitate the process - that's it, why you come to the conclusion you come to is unclear and surely unreasonable. The company is open in media, active talking to serious investors, serving tens of thousands of customers - yes, hiccups do occur, but there is nothing even near the conclusions you are making

Alot of complaints have gone out now about this site.
I think this has happened because they accepted in  dealing with paypal payments from various sources.
Have any of the problems in the past week been resolved yet?
I was going to sign up for a card but then when I saw the issues the others have been having with wirexapp withdrawals I thought other wise. :-\

any similar card will have issues every now and then - it's a very young technology, and occasional hiccups are inevitable.

You can try a free virtual card from Wirex (when you install the Wirex app, you get the 1st virtual card free of charge) and give it a try - there is nothing to lose

minor technical issues happen - not denying that. No money ever disappears though, it may just not be reflected correctly. All such mistakes are always corrected, and if you had no help for some time, it was just a very busy time for the support team, apologies for that

Gosha can you help me? I deposited 1.60+ BTC a few days ago. Tried to load it onto my EUR-card and got this wierd error message that the load had failed and you need to contact the support. This have NEVER ever happened before. NEVER.

So I did. And now, I am still waiting for both my bitcoins and an answer some reason....... Gosha. Can you give my bitcoins back or credit my account?! Its really worrying such thing can take more than 1 day to fix. This should be PRIORITY?? If you see that it failed, you received my error message with the attached error code, NO funds have been loaded to my EUR card - why are we still waiting...? But most importantly, why do you all of a sudden have this loading problem that more than me seem to have? Usually you take down your service for maintenance... But this time you accept users to deposit/load into their cards.. Just to inform that it has failed and then hold their bitcoins. You have to understand that we are worried. Especially when more and more people report this, no anouncements are made and no replies to tickets is received.

I sincerely hope that e-coin does not turn out to be a scam. Your interface is one of the best out there and have been my no. 1 go to since day one. I cant believe you would all of a sudden destroy your brand like this... :( Come on.. give my money back.. I need them to buy christmas gifts now........:'( really depressing..

@Worried_E-coin_user
Same thing happened to me.   I did get my bitcoin back after talking about it on here.
I was told my account had a "life time limit" and that "all cards have limits" which I already knew, and the lifetime limit was a lie.  The problem was the Bank that issues Visa or MasterCard to e-coin was mad at e-coin and not allowing e-coin to issue cards for almost a week.  I was lied to by support and told it was a lifetime limit error or a card monthly limit.  The system will NOT allow you to go over the monthly limit and I was NOT over any limit as I did this with a brand new card with zero balance.

The service of e-coin is a great idea, works good 90% of the time.
e-coin's server is slow as hell, I think they are on shared hosting or have a trash PC with 2 or 4 CPU cores.
e-Coin needs a server upgrade with 8 cores or better.  Also optimized SQL because their database is slow due to every single user loading ANY page requires multiple SQL search queries to pull up account balances or limits and transaction history.

I hope they take come profits and invest in a better server :)
I want to see e-coin become the KING of Bitcoin to Credit Card services.

All new services have growing pains, give them a fair chance.

I want to wait 48 hours, then I'm going to report them to the police.

Just give them time until monday.
I can understand some "issue" sending btc to plastic card, BUT, sending back btc to another btc wallet NO (it0s a simple btc send/receive operation).
The only working part is to deposit to their app, then, btc locked and error, service unavailable, and other random error.

E-coin: Always service unavailable
Wirex from web: page 404 after login
Wirex app android: service unavailable
Wirex app for Ios: service unavailable.

You need to contact support@e-coin.io so that we address the issue to the bank

if the card is blocked .. why still loaded, and still receive btc/usd load ??

im using this card just for withdraw from atms .. and i don't think that i made any mistake made this card blocked.

i tried to contact e-coin support this morning but no answer .. im waiting .

thanks

My card is cancelled with 310$ .. withount any notification..

now im trying to get back my btc and send it to Xapo.

if a card is blocked, it's blocked by the issuing bank, not by E-Coin. In most cases there is a good reason for that, although sometimes there could be a misunderstanding on the bank's part.

You need to contact support@e-coin.io so that we address the issue to the bank

if the card is blocked .. why still loaded, and still receive btc/usd load ??

im using this card just for withdraw from atms .. and i don't think that i made any mistake made this card blocked.

i tried to contact e-coin support this morning but no answer .. im waiting .

thanks

please, post or PM your e-mail so that we have support look at your case

will have it checked. It may take some time to get the explanation from the bank.  (by the way, your friend did contact support via ticket - we would never deprive a user from that right, unless that user has proven to be a crook)

That said, don't see why or how you should link the block of the account by the bank with E-Coin being scam - in fact, it's quite the opposite, if an account is blocked by the bank, unless by mistake, it indicates that the card holder may have done something wrong so that the bank has the grounds to suspect some wrongdoings..

normally it's the bank that blocks the account based on some suspicious activity.
we may block the account from our side, but that's a very rare case - only where there's been gross misconduct from the user's side. again, this is very rare.

even if the account is blocked, nothing stops the user from sending an e-mail to support@wirexapp.com

HI, i received an email today from  E-Coin.io :

Due to our bank’s updated anti-fraud policy, top up via PayPal, bank transfer, and other online payment methods are now available for verified Wirex accounts only. You can add funds of up to $500, €500 and £400 per 24 hours per PayPal transfer. Please click here for more information.

This means that unverified Wirex users will only able to top up via bitcoin and altcoin transfers. If you have not verified your account, please read this tutorial for step-by-step instructions.

Feel free to email our Support Team at support@wirexapp.com, if you have any questions.

They've imposed a account verification for paypal withdrawal without any notice or warning or e-email. . You won't find any notice or warning about it on the website, even now. This kind of changes must be notified to users. But they keep it silent untill someone writes a support ticket.

PS: Solve your propblems and notify your users. Place warning on your website. It's very easy to let people know about you new rules and conditions

a) this was communicated via various channels (twitter, fb, etc). The e-mail you mention is a notification, too - repeated one.
b) The limitation imposed is NOT OUR limitation, it's the bank's. If we did impose something like that ourselves, of course, there would have been an advance pre-warning

if you have provided your documents for verification, then once they are verified and approved by the bank, the account will be unlocked by the bank.

Once again, BY THE BANK, not by e-coin - we don't block your account, the bank does when they think there is some suspicious activity

E-Coin Turn To a Scamm Beware!!!!

Hello,
Please accept my apologies for the confusion, this process controlled by the bank, not by us, so we communicated that as soon as we can.
Please find the response from the bank below:
"Please be informed that the user's status is blocked as we have received a credit transaction on your Prepaid Card (issued by WaveCrest Holdings) ending with (XXXXXXX3) dated:17th Dec'16) for an amount of "$45.55".
We need your identity to be verified before the amount can be used on your card. Your card is blocked from further usage until your identity is verified.

You must upload the following documents through the online portal or through your card provider for verification:
1) Proof of Identity - Copy of Passport, Driving License or Government issued ID card
2) Proof of Address - Copy of a recent Utility Bill or Bank Statement"
If you have any questions, please contact us again.
Kind Regards,

if the card is blocked from the bank you will no longer be able to see my available balance from your site but now
i have confirmation that the card is blocked from the e-coin website Not from the bank!!!!!!!!!!Liars and scammers!!!!!!

Yes, it will. The bank has blocked the account because they suspect illegal activity. How do you expect them to just unblock it??

They want to know who you are, identify and verify you, after which the account will be unblocked, if everything is correct with the documents.

Why is this so hard to understand? And what, in your opinion, is wrong about it? You are not making any sense, just spreading silly rumours..

Mate, would love to reply politely, but you are being just ridiculous.. Yes, we can see basic things such as account balance, because we show it to YOU in YOUR account page. But we have no access to it or control to those funds, whether the account is active or blocked, it is your card with the bank:

All you need to do is provide documents for verification - and the issue will be resolved. Instead, you are making multiple posts based on some wrong assumptions and lack of understanding.

Why is it such a big deal to provide the documents the bank is asking for? Why do you prefer to waste your time on posting all the nonsense you are posting?

I have been a customer of E-coin/wirex for just over a yr.. I have nothing good to say so I'll keep it short and clean.. Their customer service is rubbish.. days to answer and 9 times out of 10 it's an automated response, then you have to reply and that takes another couple of days!! By this time what ever problem you started off with has changed to another whether it be missing btc from your account, your card being rejected in a shop but in fact the funds have been debated from your card, not being able to transfer your btc to another wallet or simple as being stuck in a restaurant not being able to pay the bill because wirex has gone offline.
At this present time they have just under 1 btc $1000usd -new years eve money on mine and I can not withdraw it, transfer it or load it to my card.. this is the straw that broke the camels back.. they ruined my new yrs eve and they still haven't replied to.me.. so as far as I'm concerned wirex can stick their card where the sun.
Ps
I've had to contact them at least 4 to 6 time a month with problems.
I've been stuck in restaurants more times then I wish to remember.
If you do decide to get a wirex card just be sure to have cash at all times.. which defeats the purpose of having a btc card.
They charge 5.425% to load the card..
Get a shakepay card instead.. it's cheaper and better customer service.

In my experience, I wasn't able to open my account that I created. I haven't used it though. I was just able to register a few days a go. But today I wasn't able to login and the forgot password was not working. I tried creating a new one but it doesn't work either. I'm not sure if it's fixed now. I hope it doesn't become a scam. I'd like to use the service.

1. point taken on customer service - indeed, there are times when replies are delayed. However, it is not nearly as bad as you have described, seems like you tend to get unlucky.

2. what is your registered e-mail and/or the ticket number that didn't get answered?

3. "They charge 5.425% to load the card.." is either a lie or a gross miscalculation, or simply wrong comparison - when BTC is as volatile as it is now, the difference in rate between various exchanges is rather wide, so, what you are comparing it against is a big question

e-coin works.

I have used it for over a year with only some problems due to an obviously overloaded server.
I hope e-coin gets a good SQL guy and a server with 8 or 12 cores.
Also sometimes the Credit card issuing bank gives e-coin problems.

Right now I had ordered a new virtual card, and it is "pending" for hours.
I think the card issuing bank is giving e-coin more problems again?

e-Coin:   Can you please please deliver the virtual cards today?
Pretty please!

And what is the lifetime limit on an account?
I had an account tell me I cannot buy any more virtual credit cards so I had to make a new one?

So does the service still operational?
I haven't heard from the people who were having problems with not being able to withdraw to their cards.
Any update would be appreciated because I am currently looking for a bitcoin card but that I know that is reliable when I need it.

Until you hear from me that they are even activating virtual cards, do not send them any money!
I am withdrawing my bitcoin.

Does anyone know any OTHER bitcoin credit card services that offer virtual credit cards quickly?

Virtual cards are issued instantly with Wirex.

However, in your particular case, there is a problem.

There is an issue with automatic identity check on the bank's side, hence the card was not issued and is pending.
It's a very rare situation, and honestly, we don't know why it happens sometimes, but it does - based on a purely automatic check the bank sometimes won't issue cards until they receive and check the ID documents (ID and address proof).

Your options are:
1) send the documents to support for them to follow up with the bank and get your account verified, which will allow you to order cards (because it's all done manually, the process may take some time)
2) if 1 seems like too much of a hassle, we can refund your payment for the card

Please, let support@wirexapp.com know what you prefer to do

I think the problem is that I have 3 accounts.
I shop a lot, and I have reached the Overall Life limits for the entire account.
I am American, and I know your company hates Americans lol,, so if I give my ID, I will be told "too bad, go away, NO AMERICANS"

So I need to make a fake name and make a new account.
I was honest and used my real name, (again) and that was the problem.

I will pretend to be someone else from somewhere else.

I am not mad at your service for not allowing USA people.

Everyone fears a scam.
I am able to deposit and withdraw.

However your virtual card service no longer works, no matter what name or nationality.  I have had friends sign up and try with no luck.

I am not mad at your service for not allowing USA people.

thank you for confirming. So, no "scam" after all, right? Why is this word so loved and overused by so many people?..

Everyone fears a scam.
I am able to deposit and withdraw.

However your virtual card service no longer works, no matter what name or nationality.  I have had friends sign up and try with no luck.
Three people tried for me, 3 + me is 4 independent failures for virtual cards.

Your bank must be broken again?

no, nothing is broken, everything works.
Guess (as you have stated in PM yourself), banks are getting smarter at detecting fake names and addresses..

banks have their own databases of names and addresses, which are used for automated checks. If your name is, by any chance, the same as some world-famous terrorist, you may not be able to get a card until your identity has been verified. Don't ask how it works exactly - have no idea

seems like you have tried loading your card via PayPal or some other source whilst your account is not verified. As repeatedly stated over the last months, the bank's policy on such top-ups has changed, and it is now only possible for verified accounts.
Hence, your card was blocked by the bank. Please, upload your documents for verification for us to get it unblocked

"Scam Confirmed"? seriously, mate? Wirex have been around for 3 years already, and developed the service way further than any other bitcoin debit card service. Why bother "scamming" our users, When we can aim for long term success? Come on, be real.

Problem is the word "scam" is really overused here! Yes, there are issues, like with any service growing fast and offering new features all the time, but none of the issues of any user is left unresolved. Please, look at facts, not emotions ok?
Now, Gosha already asked you for your support ticket number and Wirex registered email, and you haven't provided it. If you want us to check the issue and help you, It will be better if you comply. Also, you might want to check your answer, Becuase just as you said the bank specifically told you, your Proof of identity and Proof of address As rejected because "Multiple Accounts exist for the same user".

So please, stop adding to the group paranoia and let us help you. Give us the support ticket number and wire registered email, to track the issue further

Please, educate yourself before making strong statements misleading others.

Hello. If you already wrote to support, please give me your support ticket number or your Wirex Registered Email, and I might be able to speed thing up a bit.

However. I have Two questions:

1) Is your account verified?
2) Did you read this on you email like... 4 months ago?
Quote
Due to our bank’s updated anti-fraud policy, top up via PayPal, bank transfer, and other online payment methods are now available for verified Wirex accounts only. You can add funds of up to $500, €500 and £400 per 24 hours per PayPal transfer. Please click here for more information:
https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000151829-PayPal-and-other-3-rd-party-payment-services-limits

This means that unverified Wirex users will only able to top up via bitcoin and altcoin transfers. If you have not verified your account, please read this tutorial for step-by-step instructions:
https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/207161719-How-and-why-to-verify-Wirex-account-

Feel free to email our Support Team at support@wirexapp.com, if you have any questions.
3) Did you know It might take up to 5-7 business days for funds added through Fast Bank Transfer or Alternative Payment methods to arrive in your card (https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/207870265-How-long-does-it-take-to-get-funds-added-via-Fast-Bank-Transfer-or-Alternative-Payment-Method-)?

Hello. I understand your confusion. Please let me explain: Due to rebranding process, The website platform it's still on the E-Coin Website. The URL on app.wirexapp.com is NOT AVAILABLE YET for login, and will only work for verifying your phone number.

Please go to www.e-coin.io and try register there. Once you do that, you can access to your Wirex account either on the E-Coin Website, or the Wirex Mobile App.

What is the difference between all those sites?
This is probably why there are so many problems and inter-site issues going on with your customers in not knowing where they should be contacting to resolve any issues that they may have with either of those sites.
What you should do is completely CLOSE DOWN access to the sites that do not operate inconjunction with the other sites and services.

They all operate together. E-Coin and the Wirex mobile app use the same database. However, the website app.wirexapp.com is not available yet to access the platform. Once the rebranding is ready, We will use only the Wirex URL

sorry to interfere but.. shouldn't you do your best to get your money back? after all if they say that you can stay anonymous that means they can not hold it against you.
my point is: instead of being so sure that they deceive you shouldn't you fight back with relevant arguments?

No one said you couldn't stay anonymous. However, the PayPal option is simple not available for unverified users, and I'm pretty sure someone told you that too. Of course, you can recover your money. You can simply verify your account, or if you cant, request the refund with the support team. It might take some time to get the refund, but you will have your money back for sure.

As @Bushuqa just said wisely, You should indeed do your best to get your money back, and Wirex support team will help you as much as possible.

The Visa Wirex Card works for Verifying your PayPal account. Also, depending on PayPal's policy on Prepaid Debit Cards for your country, you might be able to withdraw money to the card and basically "top it up" from PayPal. However, your Wirex Account MUST be verified for the withdraw transaction, or else It will failed, and your card will be blocked.

Unfortunately, this option depends completely on PayPal's policy for your country regarding withdrawals to Prepaid Debit Cards. If the policy change, they should let you know

The Wirex Plastic Cards are Mastercard. To withdraw from PayPal to your Wirex Card, you will need the card to be a Virtual Visa.

Hello there,

I appreciate the Wirex team asking people to keep emotion out of their messages and stick to facts.  However,  this is difficult when you have £485.91in your account and get an email containing the following:

"We would like to inform you that we had permanently blocked the following accounts due to document provided for the identity verification process proved that documents are morphed hence we block this users account
We regret about such inconveniences however we remind you that no exceptions could be made as this is a matter of compliance.
We appreciate your understanding,"

I feel physically sick and have been reduced to tears with this information. The support ticket ID is "90196".  My account is successfully verified with wirexapp.  I can supply numerous documents to prove who I am.  This is unfair and I really need help as it is a huge loss to me and something which is causing a large amount of stress to my family and I.

Please help urgently.

Gemma.

Dear Wirexapp,

I appreciate your response BUT the response I have had has not been satisfactory.  With the fact I have been accused of falsifying records and that I "might" get my money back.  I have all my documents and ID and can do a selfie ID if required!

In the event that the "might" turns into a no could someone please offer legal advice or governing bodies I should approach.

Wirex Support, perhaps you should advise your members NOT to use your cards until the bank has verified the account to prevent money money being "taken" inappropriately.

I hope a response comes soon.

A week has passed with NO resolution.

Apparently it seems you can just take the money, ignore the customer and just say the ID is fake.  BUT since I know it is not I am more than happy to take this further!  I will be all over your facebook, all over your twitter.  I will NOT be bullied, ignored and a victim!

Hi!

I'm trying to buy a plastic GBP card but the 'Next: Payment method' button does not work - its not clickable.
In fact, I can't buy any of the cards offered for the same reason.
Why is this?
When will this be fixed?
