Where have you heard about Bitcoin for the 1st time?

I know Cryptography for a long time but I heard from friend's mother and housemate there's Bitcoin 2012. Didn't care, stupid....  (ˊ̥̥̥̥̥ ³ ˋ̥̥̥̥̥)

"Where did you hear about Bitcoin for the first time"? First time I heard bitcoin on the internet but it was in 2015. With it, I know bitcointalk and read the various threads to know more about bitcoin.

I was introduced to BTCitcoin back in late 2011, with the help of google (different ways to earn money online - that's what I typed). Back then it was more of mining (using GPU's) and claiming faucets so never got to know this forum up until around 10 months ago (in which I wanted to earn from my faucet rotator and this forum was the suggested one and I tried and found a lot other ways to earn as well).

Use your English wisely more. It's will make low quality thread. I suggest you to edit your thread with more better English.

first time i heard about bitcoin on a forum that the post was just advertising a faucet (think it was freebit.co.in) but i was introduced to bitcoin more seriously and precisely from one of my friends. and it took me a while to start with bitcoin but i am happy that i did.

I've seen it on a group page and on a group page about deep web ,i have known that some of them are collecting about million satoshi or bitcoin .then someone said to me this bitcoin is using to buy some things on that site .that's the start of my researching and asking more about bitcoins.

I heard about bitcoin in google search. i was searching for easy way to earn money online and afterwards i got to know about bitcoin.i learnt more about it and im here.

Even if you knew it in google you cant really now were to start in bitcoin, but in my case i know bitcoin in fb groups when someone invited me to join to their group and i got corious because i see them earning.

I just know that bitcoin will make money for me.b because of bitcoin i must learn trading  ;D

My first time to hear bitcoin last year january 2015 but im not so interested in bitcoin because i am thinking that bitcoin is scam.. thats why i ignore this coins and mid 2015 may or june i was start to look where can get bitcoins to test if this is legit or not.. so i try to collect bitcoins in faucet i collected hundreds of to start collecting satoshis.. until i reach even 0.005 and invest it in cloudmining called scrypt cc but i've scammed from this site and my balance are stuck in this site..so i search for a solution to know where can get back or to recover my bitcoin and i came here.. and found this forum and learn about ponzi schemes.. thats why im here.. then i learn that earning satoshies in faucet is a cents and they are suggested to join in signature campaign because its better that collecting in bitcoin.. why posting and reading some thread day by day i learn a lot..

I first encounter on ForumPromotion when someone is selling Bitcoin related domain. I do not know what is Bitcoin back then. From the name, I guess it is some sort of payment processor like Paypal. I did a Google search but could not find any good information about it and so I did not care much. After sometime, I came across Bitcoin on the same site. Someone offered to purchase .com domain for just 0.01 Bitcoin. And so my Bitcoin adventure started after doing some extensive research.

i first encounter bitcoin last year joining the scam site MMM ponzi who promised to give 30% of your investment in just 2 weeks the payment process use bitcoin for you to join and it was introduce by a friend knowing nothing about this currency I started to be curious and find more and luckily even i been scam i found this site and now i'm learning more about bitcoin.

A friend of mine told me about bitcoin and the benefits of using it. I was curious to know how he earns money at home so easily. A few searches lead me to this forum.

I read about in Bitcoin in a daily newspaper in early 2014. Then i thought will it really be usefull ? It is just another failed project. That was my biggest mistake. I entered bitcoin in Jan 2015 when price was low and am having great profit trading it.

It was actually late november of 2014 I was introduced into bitcoin by a PTC website, where i saw "Bitcoin accepted here" with bitcoin logo. After that i started searching about google and now i'm here.

I was introduce in mid 2014, at first i didnt really pay attention to bitcoin, and at first i am more into doge coin, but after a while because most of the people used bitcoin so i change to used bitcoin

I somewhat lucky mistake you made. If you joined Bitcoin during the bubble or 1000 USD per coin, you will now hate dislike Bitcoin as you could lost a lot of money on it. Since you joined in 2015, you actually made a nice profit, I believe.

In 2014, I wonder how to operator in the economy. So i understood!

i have been read post like this many time,and still want to share my experience how i first time heard about bitcoin,my story began when i am in college,my friend told me about bitcoin,i know he was never try to know more abou this,but because i need urgent money,i try to collect and create my first wallet,and until now,i still work for bitcoin and hold it.

I have seen it on tv at the time Cyprus was about to collapse.

I waited before investing at that time as I found the price to be too high to invest in.

Later I managed to grab myself some very good tasting sub $100 coins which shows that patience pays off.

And I still have not sold them. ;)

First learned about it in an online venture who were the first to pay they users in bitcoin back then in September 2014, soon after that a lot of other online ventures started to adding it as a payment option, I become curious back then and learned about bitcoin and swiftly embraced it. Unfortunately I choose blockchain.info as wallet and was  hacked after some time, my bitcoins not so much in value only 63 USD and there soon after this happened I came to this forum and read everything about security and I am very happy I did so as nothing bad have happened to me since that time.

In the absence of the basic work, I was looking for a way to earn online. And once I came across a "bitwalking" project. The idea is that you can earn cryptocurrency doing sports. And it caught my attention is the word - cryptocurrency. I began to look about it, and came across Bitcoin. And I began to study it.

My first experience with Bitcoin, i saw a by cache in YouTube video, than i searched it what it is? than i was thinking for use it but i have no believe on it. so i avoid it, but later on i saw one add in some sites, than i was thinking so checking out what it is, is it real or not. than i realize it is real and i decided use it. but my started career with Bitcoin is very low, because i started with faucets , and they are paying me very low, i think 100 satoshi and something. than i joined Bitcointalk, and i realize it is a good plate form where i can do something and also good earn. So now i m happy with Bitcointalk.       

I heard about bitcoin for the first time on PTC site and there i ignored it and then my friends suggest me to join that currency but i joined it when i came to this forum by one of my friend he suggested me to work here for earning some good money.

If you have known bitcoin since few years ago, precisely on 2014 you was a experienced player of bitcoin. But if i am supposed you while I know bitcoin and known this site , i will register as soon as possible, because tha rank and experience to this forum is very important.

I think most of the people are here, who ignore the bitcoin in first time and than they joined it and now they all are praising the bitcoins, and all are saying that it is best and also best for earning wise and also investment.
i have a same story, my friend told me he is also a member of bitcointalk and also get good earning in it and he advice me to join it and do work with bitcointalk.

The first time I heard about Bitcoin is from the internet, but I'm really into Bitcoin when I was in Junior High School. My friend told me about it, but at first I'm not too interested.

There where many friends that told me that I have to use Bitcoin and that it will be also the future payment method and that you can also even earn some money with it.
And that is nice because some people does not even knows how Bitcoin works and that is the problem.

My friend introduced me to it last year, he said me this is the future currency and you can also earn it by joining signature campaign and since then I am successfully earning it.

I saw it on the news, I think it was on national television when the price broke the gold's price, and it was also on the news during the Mt Gox incident. I ignored all of that because it was usually linked to criminal activity so I wanted nothing to do with it. But later on I learned about it and understood the mistake that was ignoring it because media FUD.

I know bitcoin of blog posts that are discussing the bitcoin price dumped very rapidly. Since then I know about bitcoin.
Then i search some information about bitcoin, and I started to make a wallet.  :)

I guess it was fate, I desperately need at the time, and suddenly bitcoin appears, and that could meet my needs. Therefore I find out about bitcoin

I found it because people have been talking about it on a public forum.
From there I took interest and learned more and that is how I eventually ended up here.

I remember hearing about the crazy rise past 1k in 2013  from some online message board, then ignored until early 2015.  Bought my first one in early 2015.

I saw some videos on youtube as I was trying to search randomly about making money online, and then got aware about bitcoin  so started to research on it.

First time I heard about Bitcoin in 2012 when 1 Bitcoin was less than $10. I was told by a friend of mine that there is such thing as Bitcoin which is something like Internet currency and that it costs $5 or $6 USD I don't remeber exactly. Since the man was much younger than me, he was around 16 at the time, I thought how he could know anything worth attention? I was wrong apparently.

First time i head about bitcoin is when i searching an information about how to earn free money online and 1 of the article is about bitcoin and i start to find what is bitcoin.

I was searching for savings and earnings online to hold it for a long time so that i have money in the future..
And i found bitcoin at the forum in our country forum with tutorial how to collect bitcoin in any faucet.. now i am here in our forum which is i learn  a lot of things about bitcoins..

Early 2012 I already knew of the existence of bitcoin but I never really bothered looking into it since  I was young and I wasn't really interested in online money-related things. Then at some point in 2013, I kind of got interested in it but still, I was young.
I asked for my mom if I could maybe buy even 0.5 bitcoins just for the heck of it but no. My mom didn't want me to do so. Then here I am now, getting bitcoins and somehow regretting that I didn't get to buy even a small amount back then.

My friend recently told me about it, at first i only understood the signature campaign aspect to it, but now i know its a lot more.

I know bitcoin first time when me and my friends hang out together and 1 of my friends bring his laptop and open a bitcoin wallet. i asked him about that and he tell me what and how it works.

First heard about bitcoin in 2010, at a conference on cybersecurity in Prague. I was amazed and immediately started studying, which was difficult for the lack of information back then. When I fully got it, I started teaching and making presentations about it, which I still do.
Nice to look back at the first presentations I did, citing a value of one figure  ;D

I was searching for something to play, I don't know how, but I saw bitcoin somewhere and started to read about it. That was in august last year, I`m still reading and learning, and of course earn a bit more then 8 months ago.

Why do I know bitcoin, well in beginning it was just something amazing and unbelievable, later I saw casinos for bitcoins, poker... now I love bitcoin. It make things so much easier for me in that area. I have some friends abroad now we send money each other with bitcoins.

All this time I wonder how didn't I see it before, I`m using internet so many years and I never saw or heard about bitcoin before that day. I read about Bitcoin the first time around mid of 2012 I think.
It was an online article of a tech magazine.
As many others I haven't realised it's potential at that time. Then I forgot about it and the next time I heard and informed myself about it was in late 2013 after the mega bubble.God bless I was smart enough not to buy any coins at that time. Before I started to play with faucets and bought my first small amounts of BTC I tried to inform myself about BTC as much as possible.Since then I'm totally fascinated by it and got sucked deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole. :)

Initially I came to know bitcoin as an earning source. Later myself learned and understood the reality of bitcoin as a digital currency with strong technology backing.

I have heard about bitcoin and bitcointalk really long ago like 2-3 years ago but couldn't understand much about how this work and forget thinking about it. I know bitcoin because theres a facebook group in FB that intriducing what is bitcoin and how to earn it easily so i am curious about it so il try it and then i knew now to earn here. Its easy to earn here so right now im a earner of bitcoin and i think my future will be a trader of bitcoin if i am too old.

same with me,and i start how bitcoin can spreading in other way,because i see in this thread that the mot common reason they know about bitcoin for first time are coming from their friends,not coming from media or internet.

I know Bitcoin because I heard of it on the news and I became very interested in it. So I began to do research on Bitcoin and now I am making some money of of it.
 

I heard bitcoin from a friend and tell me he'y try this one until you don't have work. Now i enjoying bitcoin investing mining talking to somebody complan on how we can invest and make profit. Most of the users are here only because of their friends, and I think is the best place to learn about bitcoin and also to earn bitcoin and we should continue to earn.

I know bitcoin because some of my friends in a social networking site are doing this. They earn big amounts even if we are at the same age. I first heard about Bitcoin back in 2013 in the news when it hit 100$ verge. I bought one and sold it for 110$ and though it was a good deal. I was wrong  :)

I just heard about BTC from my friend and he is the one tour me about BTC earning and trading, Also about the crypto currency. So when i came to know it will give some earnings if start to work on this. I hope all of us here need some money to survive or to enjoy. Thats why we have to know.

At that time you could earn more than today with faucets, but it was not much either.
Then I found bitcointalk.org, sig campaigns and trading possibilites.
Now I use bitcoin as earning option, investment and payment method.

I heard about Bitcoins about 2 years ago from a video on how to earn Bitcoins by mining. Even back then it wasn't any easier to mine, but then I was just excited as any of you in here. Even before this I had heard about Bitcoin but wasn't as much excited and missed a lot of opportunities. But hey, I'm in here now for the good of it.

I love to make money so I wonder here and there for source of earning , I have a business whatsapp group and there we all talk about our business so one guy in that group introduced us with bitcoin and from that day I started researching with bitcoin and finally now I earn $32 monthly.

That's a good start and over a period of time you can expect more income from bitcoins, and you also need to make efforts to learn different ways of earning it.

A friend of mine introduced me to bitcoin in 2011 and I was clicking faucets then and made nearly one bitcoin in a few months but it was not worth a lot then. I wish I had carried on at that time and saved all the bitcoin I was earning and I had made a good amount too.

I know bitcoin because of some doge banner that introduce me to a faucet.  One of the faucet link redirect me to this forum and from that I signed up and been a memberr of this forum.  I was into dogecoin during that time until after some month i read about bitcoin, because doge needs to be converted to bitcoin and then bitcoin to fiat.  My country doesnt support doge conversion to fiat money.  Well that was 2014 that i first known this forum and the word bitcoin.

Wow we had the same source of info. I also knows bitcoin from a good friend of mine, he told me that i can earn money by just doing simple task. Just like what i did know. Doing signature campaign is the one he recommended to me. And now i am here.

I have heard about bitcoin from my boyfreind. he is in this already over a year and I joined only this May. Honestly I was too long skeptic about bitcoin, for me it looked like new pyramid and scam, but after he showed me money that he made on internet with commenting and gabling for bitcoin it awake a wish in me to join hahah so that's why I am here, i also wish some money from passive work on the Internet.

From a friend.  I was looking for an online job and then I joined a group and there are many ways on how to earn.  There are games that will pay you dollars.  Payments were usually send to your paypal account.  The other will ask you to install applications for a corresponding points.  Then through typing captcha like mega and 2captcha.

I have seen my officemate looking at some graphs, apparently they are for the movements of bitcoin trading. curiousity kills the cat, but here i am a newbie in bitcoin forum hoping to learn more about this thing guys.

Beggar I want to earn money so I wondered here and there to find source of money earning. Finally one of my friend introduced me with bitcoin and from them i am in love with bitcoin because there is so much opportunity in bitcoin that is not possible with traditional money.

I heard bitcoin first in a facebook page that related to earning online and because its all about money so I tried to this thing and its too hard in the very first place because all I earned is from faucets and in cloudmining sites but when someone introduced me in this forum. I heard bitcoin way back 2015 and I tried it for the first 3 months and thought that earning via this way was hard since I only do it on faucets that time. the first time i know bitcoin is from my friend that said you can trying to start make money with bitcoin by playing faucet. i remember that in 2015 the faucet reward is big and i searching on google, what is bitcoin, how to get bitcoin and etc. but i don't know about wallet that used to hold bitcoin, i only know wallet from market exchange. geezz its only my experience and i will not forget it.

I know Bitcoin because of college that i am working with and he introduced me to bitcoin, he was always busy with something during the break.
On day I just asked him about it and for there on I was also making use of bitcoin.

I confess that in the early days until, I thought I had not scammers in the world of bitcoin and in this forum. But I was wrong and I learned the lesson the hard way.

I was browsing for some PTC site then i stumbled on a Doge Faucet adverticed by the site.  I click it then redirected to faucet itself with description about this forum.  Then I clicked the link and ever since I known bitcoin.  Im thankful that thru curiousness i stumbled on a very important things that had help me ever since.

Yeah even my friend told me about bitcoins and showed me the various methods of earning it so firstly I started my journey with signature campaign and meanwhile kept on spending time on trading sites to learn it.

I heard of bitcoin last 2009, I was surfing the web for online Jobs that pays dollars through paypal when suddenly i met some post that says free bitcoins by just clicking a faucet. When i opened it i was surprised and glad about new way to earn free but then I encountered new problem the value of bitcoin at that time was too low and i have no access as to where I will use it or sell it.

I've heard it once to my friend, they tell me that having a bitcoin is very good investment so I try it,it was good and fun. I use it now in my everyday needs, even on little things like load, buying game cards like that. I thought that bitcoins is not true or it is a hoax but I found it real when I use that.

Back in 2011 I heard about Bitcoin from a cryptographer friend who was explaining all the technical stuff about Bitcoin.
Didn't get into it right away, but it only took me a year or so to try it out.

First heard about Bitcoin back in 2010, unfortunately I was quick to dismiss it as an internet thing that would die out after a few months. And even after it didn't die and I kept stumbling across articles that mentioned Bitcoin, I still never even bothered to find out what it was really about. Then in 2013, the huge spike in price finally caught my eye, it was in the news everywhere. That's when I decided to go to Wikipedia to find out what the fuss was about   :'(

I think 2007 or later but i dont mind the bitcoin. Though I am on computer field,but don't care to research until Dec last year year and I create my account last January of this year 2016. I read here some references and I learned a lot,especially trading.

Bad days teaches you everything and especially when you are jobless and don't have any source of income you will start taking risks so that you can have at least some money that can give you two times food and that was the time I came across through bitcoins.

I first heard of Bitcoin from my friend who told me about the digital currency. My friend told him about bitcoin to me and showed that he can get money from the bitcoin. My time was needed the money and I was immediately interested in bitcoin :D

The prife of bitcoin in beginning of 2015 was dropped from price of few years before it. But it is not means that you impossible to take many profit from trading on that year. Trading affected by fluctuations.
When you start knowing bitcoin since January 2015 it was not too late i think. Even i know bitcoin from my friend one years ago, i means since October last year. It was completely one years since my friend suggest me bitcoin.

I have heard about bitcoin from this forum, while surfing i have came accross this forum and started to dig deeper what actually is this forum for and came to know about bitcoin. At first i really get dazzled with what this actually is but later on when i started to use bitcoin and received bitcoin from some giveaway i felt good. I can't remember the exact first time, but I first got interested in bitcoin when the price went to $200 just before the run up to over $1000 a few years ago. I think there were a lot of news stories about it at that time.

as weird as it sounds, i was actually introduced to bitcoin by the media. couple of years ago when the price was about $1000, there was news channel featuring the story of bitcoin and how it was the future of currency. thats when i got hooked into bitcoin.
