Title: [ANN] ICOcountdown.com Tokenizes Himself (Crowdfund)
Post by: ICOcountdown.com on May 21, 2016, 07:53:08 PM
http://www.icocountdown.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/icocountdownlogo.png

Hello everyone,

I have decided to launch my own personal token.

My life will be now tokenized on the Bitcoin blockchain. The life is tradeable and divisible.

The aim of this project is to get a value of my life as a human and help concentrate crypto vetting procedures. The project is transparent and you can ascertain the value of my life at any time with market capitalization.

From this service it means that I can spend as much time as possible writing about projects all day and all night - critiqueing them, with exactly what the community wants (this is also what I want) - so we can vet every single one that the community desires.

* This token represents 24 hours of the day.
* There will only be 24 tokens in existance.
* 1 Token represents 1 hour of my time.

If you give me 1 token of my life then I will work on anything you want including:

* Due dilligence of projects.
* Advice on specific coins and projects.
* Learning and teaching on different solutions in the cryptospace.
* Designing new products.
* Designing new websites.
* Or anything else you can think of!

Tokens must be sent to me first then I will carry out the work.

The only ground rule is, I can reject any proposition that comes my way. In that event you can ask for something else or keep and trade your tokens.

This will be a really great social experiment and I hope that everyone gets involved as much as possible.

To get a set value of my life, I will be launching an crowdfund. The life will then be distributed. There is no total maximum or minimum value.

This is when the token was issued:

The Crowdfund will run for two weeks when this topic is posted. The closing date is 3rd of June.

If you would like to particpate in the crowdsale please setup a wallet here: https://www.omniwallet.org/

To participate in the ICO simply send your BTC here:         1GEnoSZtq3WuiY9kTudNRjXxxX9gr8PhU4

If you would like your tokens to be sent to another BTC address please message me for this, I suggest Omniwallet https://www.omniwallet.org/ to hold tokens, then your private key can be downloaded.

For a desktop wallet you can download this: http://omnichest.info/wallets.aspx

If anyone would like to contact me:
Email: alex@icocountdown.com
Skype: icocountdown
Twitter: https://twitter.com/ICOcountdown

If anyone doesn't know I run the site http://icocountdown.com
You can view my medium articles on projects that I've vetted also: https://medium.com/@icocountdown/

This thread will be used to show what I do for the community as developments occur. I will still vet projects manually but with this system- it will be much more efficient because it is a targeted effort.

Thanks everyone I hope you join me on my new adventure. To my knowledge this is the first time someone has ever done something like this - so it might create many new opportunities.

Again thank you to this community. I want to stay here forever and make it the best it can possibly be.

Loving Regards,

Alex from http://icocountdown.com

Edit: Crowdfund was unsucessful :( I guess there is no type of market for this application.

It's Really interesting, i'll invest some money. Because Icocountdown deserves it, this project must live for cryptoworld - for hard analytics of scam-potential ICO's

If anyone wants to call me on my cell phone that's fine. Please call me. Please send me a PM if you want the number. Justin and I can be reached on our cell phones 24/7. I feel that ICOcountdown has gone a bit over the edge with his claims and delisting people. He has developed a bit of a complex and thinks he is now some sort of authority.

We offered to give him RISE tokens to be listed on his website but then he wanted bitcoins. When we couldn't deliver he removed us. Please have a look at our conversation. I really didn't want to do this but I believe in transparency and being honest to the people and who we are dealing with. I'm sorry ICO but I had to do what needed to be done. We have tried multiple times to contact you and you refused to reply even though we have been 100% transparent.

Hey look who it is. It's Mr ICOCountdown himself  :P

I am sure Alty will respond to you but I had asked a few of these questions myself way back before the ICO began and I can even answer these myself. I doubt you really did look into this very much. But I think my interest along with others helped prompt Alty to post this on the blog https://rise.vision/blog/post/why-real-estate

I'll take a stab at this (off the top of my head)

How will funds be delivered back to users?

I remember this was a big legal issue. People would not be shareholders in a legal sense. It's just a bonus beyond the core Rise project which some people are having difficulty grasping. But a % would be converted back to btc and distributed among coin holders. Not a bad deal for doing nothing while the Rise team goes out and does all the heavy lifting.

How will funds be dispersed fairly and openly.

There will be some trust on this. But costs will be documented and transparent. But the fact they are providing something above the coin itself is great. Most people invest in a coin with nothing else as a bonus. Just relying on the value of the coin itself.

Who will own the contracts to these houses? (Deeds)

Legally it would be Rise or Acre or whatever they decide to use for the name. Again, coin holders aren't shareholders.

Who will maintain and deliver these things accordingly.
Alty is in charge of all these things, believe me real estate development is no small feat.

Well I did some poking around (thank you) and dug up a bit of alty's background in real estate and I found this... however you're questioning other people without even talking about who you really are or what your background is and why you think you can make judgments? I think it's disgusting and a disservice to this community. This is probably one of the best projects of 2016 and you're messing up their chances of a bright future. One of the reasons you delisted Rise was because the testnet wasn't delivering coins (now they are). Waves is still listed on your site and they don't even have a testnet for crying out loud. Nothing like playing favorites.  ::)

The main reason I was attracted to this project was because I personally invest in real estate.

Anyway here are company records. It's apparent to me he's been heavily involved in the RE business.

More here

https://www.duedil.com/director/908104773/cormac-stuart-lucking

Edited in: I see Alty replied already.

No reason to attack me for having valid questions my friend.

https://companycheck.co.uk/director/908104773/MR-CORMAC-STUART-LUCKING/companies

All of these companies are dissolved meaning that all the companies have had problems and thus they have been exited.

I need to add this to the list.  :D

Dear ICOcountdown, this whole scenario is getting very childish, people are throwing around my name (thanks google) and criticizing my history, which is not exactly what I came into crypto for.

I ask again, get in contact with me and let's do a Skype session.

Alty it is not my fault that you have had a history of business/personal failures. I am tired of argueing with you over overwhelming evidence against you and your project. What I'm really tired about is that people still believe these terrible confidence tricks that you have created, even when your shill accounts continuously post evidence to back up my personal claims. What I'm aiming for now is a full escrow refund of the RISE project, I recommend everyone ask for this before it's too late. Time to do some active due dilligence against these projects and make new people getting into crypto not get destroyed by these confidence tricks because this is the only way for any of us to build this ecosystem.

I am not stupid, I do not treat people stupidly I give them evidence. If you are annoyed by this it is because you don't care about your name being slandered when your project falls apart. You only care about the Bitcoin that you collect from innocent people delving into this ecosystem. You only care about money and nothing else, this is the reason for your downfall.

I have a great website on the line here if my project does not do well? What do you have?

I have provided more to this community than you ever will and it will stay that way until the end of time.

I've heard this claim from multiple people. Apparently he asks for BTC to keep your project on his site, and then when you refuse he finds a reason to call you a scam and delist your project and then claim to be a man of the people.

Name one project that I called a scam that I didn't have the evidence to back it up with.

Protip: You can't.

I have revealed 6 links about myself. I could go on. What have you revealed Alex?

The people aren't stupid and don't treat them as if they are. Please reveal 6 things about yourself? Anything...

You are wrong again. You have been asked to do a video chat. You have been asked over and over again to join for discussion. Yet you decline. I want people to understand why I am doing this. I'm not here to FUD. I am here to warn people of those who are wolves dressed in sheep's clothing. You have hurt my project and I have the right to defend myself in the most transparent way moving forward. Someone who comes onto my territory (forum) only to hurt me and what I have worked so hard for shall not be tolerated and must be appropriately dealt with.

I have been lenient and professional but at some point I believe necessary steps must be taken to kindle such fires that are out of control.

For those who want transparency, please contact me. I have provided 6 links. Email me at sremington1@gmail.com. Give us a call. I can tell you all about myself, something ICOcountdown doesn't seem willing to do.

I've heard this claim from multiple people. Apparently he asks for BTC to keep your project on his site, and then when you refuse he finds a reason to call you a scam and delist your project and then claim to be a man of the people.

I wasn going to keep this private but I was contacted by another coin team and they reported the same thing.

In my books that's extortion.

No wonder he doesn't want a public video chat.

I delisted your project because it was a confidence trick, the same tricks that were pulled with many other coins. The people will decide at the end of the day when your project implodes. We all know it's going to happen and we all know I'm right :)

It's Really interesting, i'll invest some money. Because Icocountdown deserves it, this project must live for cryptoworld - for hard analytics of scam-potential ICO's
You're joking... obviously.

i'm not joking, the owner of Icocountdown is that person, who saved thouthands of BTC of investors at EDON, or you didn't know that? His article crashed the mask of moldovan dev-scammer

Yes! I remember when he called out EDON. I was going to invest too. Those dudes are nowhere to be found!

You can't even code a single "width" parameter, now let me try to trust you when you are saying that you can analyze a coin... LOL

I think you should answer the question about whether you asked RISE for BTC or not.
not just Rise, mineum too.

This is really interesting that this is happening. Me being very new to crypto and wanting to invest without getting scammed has driven me to analyze the thread content of as many new projects as possible. I totally missed the boat on BTC and some other great opportunities, so I feel attracted to ICOs. I know that this may not be in my best interest, but I, like everyone else, want to make returns like some did on BTC.

During my research, as have many of us, I've come to the realization that there is no way possible for one to keep up with everything, considering how fast these new projects are popping up. That being said, I have latched on to what we know as ICO countdown. This seemed to me a great idea to keep up with all of the new ICO's.

In following ICO countdown, I had assumed that I had avoided at least a handful of scams. Although, it seems as though I had already invested in a couple that he was supporting and then stopped. I was already emotionally attached to these projects and did not want to be beaten and caught up into a scam. So, like anyone else would have done, I did due diligence and completed my own research. I did and still can't find anything whatsoever wrong to the point of removing a project from a website like he did. Then another project that I had been following is removed from the website. At this point I'm thinking to myself man, I'm blind as a bat how am I missing this stuff. So, again I dig in interview the developer, you know the drill...low and behold, in no way shape or form did the project need to be pulled down off of said website.

Now instead of researching new projects, I've been following this ICO countdown. LOL there is a seriously alarming trend with this ICO character.

So in other words, I didn't want to be wrong, nor did I want to get burned either, but I seriously think that this dude is becoming a scammer. I have actually heard first hand from more than one coin developer that they felt like they were being extorted.
I think this has gone too far ICOcountdown. Take a step back and look at what is happening and unless you have another idea to anonymously pursue, you have pretty much done yourself in here.  Of course you have gotten some of the scams off the books, but if you take or ask projects for money, you’ve already proven to be biased and would probably list a scam in a minute.

This service of yours is needed, but you need a team that can help you with things because if one looks closely at your website and some of the threads that you have started, it’s obvious that you are very inexperienced and accidentally fell into this ICOcountdown idea.
You are wasting a lot of people’s time, when you could have already been rich off this idea.  Don’t waste anyone else’s time.

In following ICO countdown........

I don't think it is wrong to charge people for listing as long as you make it clear on your site that is what you are doing.  It is no different than a lot of listing services.  What is wrong is to list people then remove them if they refuse to pay you and then create some "reasons" which (may be true) but are not the reason for the removal.  If this is true then that is highly troubling and tantamount to extortion.

Also one of the things that has bothered me with ICOcountdown is that he lists things first and then seemingly does the "research" which leads to ICOs being taken down several days later (often after the ICO has commenced and some people have already invested).  Now this could be due to genuinely missing or overlooking information but if the allegations about asking for payment are true then again this paints things in a bad light.

I hope these allegations (regarding BTC payment requests) are untrue but until this question is answered ICOcountdown/Alex's reputation is in question.

For the record, I will say that I never sent the 4.5btc and he eventually did post us on his website. After a day or two the allegations came out and we were removed. So in Alex's defense he did initially list us without me sending funds. I was very grateful at the time as I thought he was charging others for the listings.

after reading all posts of haters i must say, that Alex, maybe you need to work out on ICO rating system in percentage (ICOcountdown Rating System - IRS  :)). This IRS may include a lot of analytic factors for annaunced ICO projects, like - 1)have the dev represent their photo, name or not, 2)is there real profiles links, 3)contact phones, addr etc.4)is there Escrow or not, 5) Is this a team, or one dev .. and much more items, that affect on a result in rating percents. And if final IRS will be lower 30% (or another value) - then the project will be delisted

The only problem with the photos and profiles is that they can bought and faked.

Same with names, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1464725.0

You can see in this thread this is exactly what happened, one of the main issues is Escrow. All that tertiary information can be faked. Github and code verification along with Escrow is really whats needed. There are many other ways to verify people but I can't release that information because they will get wise to it. I do like the percentage values though.

Unfortunately this kind of thing has happened before and the EDON developer got past it because he faked all of that stuff.

i agree, demo Github code is a real mark of honest ICO campaign. It's really sad, that many developers are unable to demonstrate at ICO's beginning objectivity of theirs promises

I will publicly acknowledge that even though Bitland is not listed on ICO Countdown, it is not because he asked us for money.

We have had our differences on things, but I am not sure I would say that ICO Countdown is scamming.  He did his due diligence with Bitland, and for whatever reason didn't decide that we should be on ICO countdown.

No big deal.

However, in no part of the process did he ever ask for money, so I have to assert that as someone who was not included on his site, it wasn't because he asked us for money.  I am not sure if he has changed his practices, but anyone who wants to talk about this can Skype me at Larry.Christopher.Bates, and I can tell you that in my honest experience, when asking about Bitland Alex was simply trying to do his due diligence.  I am not sure what his credentials are, or what he has done in the past, but he did NOT try to extort Bitland at any point.

Cheers!

Chris

Nope, not once.  Like I said, not sure if he has changed his approach, but while his questions were plentiful, I think he simply didn't like our approach or something.

The entire thing had nothing to do with him asking for money.

OK thanks for sharing this.  I also spoke to Sasha from WAVES who confirmed that at no point did Alex ask him for BTC/tokens or money either.  These points along with Scifi.rem's clarification I think illustrate that Alex was not extorting anyone to be on his site.

People may not agree with his reasons for delisting coins but it is his site and his choice.  Hopefully this closes the matter.

Jazzycrypt - I like these ideas of information to regulate ICOs.

Alex - I think there is software in existence that matches a selfie with your government issued ID.  I am not sure where I saw it but I think Bittrex uses it if you want to increase your withdrawl limits.  There has to be other ways as well to verify the identity of someone.  Also there could be regulations that disallow people to announce their ICO before properly confirming identity with regulators.

So, after posting in this thread, I was contacted by a developer with whom I video chatted.  He told me that he was asked for $400/week for Alex, and based on our hour long conversation, I have no reason to believe he is making this up.  Just because Alex didn't extort me, doesn't mean he didn't do it to someone else.  So again, I was just conveying my experience earlier, I cannot speak to his later actions.

Chris

Edit:

After posting this comment, the developer contacted me and showed me the proof that Alex asked him directly for $400.  I am not sure how many were asked, but I have seen proof.

Alex,

Did you receive from Agoras or Elastic project Team any BTC or any Coins from their ICO?

I'd like to know this as well.  It's up to you to list what you see fit, but it would be nice to know if these are paid services.

I have revealed 6 links about myself. I could go on. What have you revealed Alex?

The people aren't stupid and don't treat them as if they are. Please reveal 6 things about yourself? Anything...

Well, that was fun! I spent damn near five minutes uncovering who this Alex dude is. For my efforts I request a U$100 in BTC from anybody desiring his true identity. I know. The hourly rate is high, but considering its value I'm sure some folks will come forward requesting Alex's vitals. Spoiler alert: His name is not Alex.

To [not]Alex, my standard extortion fee is 35 BTC if you desire of me to not disclose your TRUE vitals to those willing to pay for the exposé.

FWIW, I've disclosed more vitals about myself than any other person in this space.

I delisted your project because it was a confidence trick, the same tricks that were pulled with many other coins. The people will decide at the end of the day when your project implodes. We all know it's going to happen and we all know I'm right :)

If anyone is running an ICO you can personally email me at alex@icocountdown.com and I will list it after it has been vetted. If you want to add me on skype it is: icocountdown and I will deal with anyone that is interested in putting an ICO together.

Please, tell us more about you vetting prowess. You know, the one where when you're first contacted via email you vet the ICO, then list it after not finding anything nefarious about them, then delist them when you find something nefarious about them, usually after the paying of an extortion fee wasn't forthcoming.

Why the change of topic? Is it because you have no information and want to scam people about my information? Focus on one topic and we will get to the next. Provide one iota of proof that you have any documentation on me first. You started this not me. Lay your claim.  :D

So how does an ICO get listed on your website? How much does it cost?

Hello ICOcountdown.

Please comment on the fact you asked for money from new projects to be listed on your site!

Is it true? Projects/new Icos only get listed if they pay you?

Thank You

Drachmae project acts as an incubator for use cases to discover potential opportunities in real life scenarios that are not paper based. This is achieved by working with channel partners running parallel services to their existing infrastructures. The core objective is to provide viable hybrid solutions, from SME up to Large Enterprise level business models that onboard businesses to blockchain technology. This may, in turn, roll out to consumers in a practical way.

    Hello ICOcountdown.

Please comment on the fact you asked for money from new projects to be listed on your site!

Is it true? Projects/new Icos only get listed if they pay you?

    Thank You

Its already been proven, ICOcountdown is no different from the others running fraudulent schemes.

    Hello Alex,

Looking forward to being vetted by you. 2020 looks like the engines in crypto are going to fire back up bigger and better than 2017 was. It certainly has been a long winter for most Crypto companies.
