Most people are offering to sell at 0.001 now.

Nah if its less that a dollar its a huge fail ICO price is around .19 cents now with all the new money per Wave

LISK was at 10x IPO and currently after the dump is a 4X, wave seems to have more hype and a better team than lisk...

ETH was at 6x IPO at launch and currently its at ... lets not even go there lol  

if wave is not at least 8-10x IPO on launch which is around $1.20 its a short term fail in my book

Mycelium seems to implement Waves tech into their fiat operations which promisses alot. This alone makes Waves tokens pretty worthy, together with Sasha being business oriented i think it will after a while trade between $5 and $15.

i dont think most people who bought into this understand anything about it.  the platform does a subset of what NXT does, whereas something like ethereum is a generalized version of it.  waves raised over twice what lisk raised, yet does far less.  gonna be fun watching this play out.  i think this was mostly an ico fomo buy.

Well: as someone who was tantalized and then rattled by "Liska", I'm going to take the cautious approach with this one. But you've summed up the value proposition for WAVES quite succinctly. Its real value depends on its network effect, which will be helped tremendously by reliable fiat gateways.

We're in the early age of the "steam engine." "Trains" (a crypto-economy) are a long way off. Cryptocurrency's gotta grow by becoming a helper to the fiat economy - in the here and now, that is.

If you take a look at something has revoluntionary as BitShares, you will see that despite the tech, it failed massively on the user experience. I don't need Waves to do a 100 things okay, I need it to do a few things better than anyone else with a mainstream interface in mind.

Good point and Sasha mentioned excactly that, the biggest apps/platforms are focussed just on one feature, also majority of crypto projects are more tech oriented where they lack the business mindset which Sasha does have and pursuites.

Waves will go to ZERO.  Bitshares was designed as a money trap for the naive.  The original NXT will be reborn.

NXT 2.0 has no funding, a rubbish team, a name which is claimed by several other companies, less features and the first version won't even be complete till the last Q of 2017. I couldn't think of a worst thing to get into right now.

No argument from me.  NXT 2.0 is a joke.  The original NXT as BCNext intended will be reborn out of the original genesis block and retake its rightful place.

Waves will probably trade at or slightly above ICO for a little bit while things settle.  I think we will see an ETH like growth pattern, with the peak price happening 6-8 months after launch.

The best way to start speculating WAVES and moving them back and forth is using IOU asset BBWAVES on NXT Asset Exchange (well WAVES asset exchange is not functional yet).
The starting price is at 75 NXT which is 0,000975 BTC - maybe the lowest price on the market.

Why i think price going to be trending up:

Waves token will be the fuel of the whole platform and all transactions happening there (issuing assets, trading, conversion, withdrawing), fee in Waves token, additionally Waves is inflation-less system with total supply of 100 Mil and there will be incentives from the network itself for just having Waves token, what even gives it more value is Waves fiat operation and parthnerships with Mycelium and other payment processors which will make this coin very wanted.

Couldn't agree more.  Fiat integration and Mycelium will make this coin useful to alot of people.  IMO Waves has nowhere to go but up, as long as the devs deliver as promised.

Yobit is selling waves IOUs, as it did for lisk. ;)

Waves team has said that they are already talking to a few chosen exchanges, but not announcing their names yet. You'll probably have to wait until 14th., when waves hits said exchanges. :D


As a person who likes both of them to grow, I think waves has a greater potential for that.

Waves mycelium integration project will most probably start this year, and if it delivers well, waves price will board a shuttle to God knows where!  ;D

Kraken isn't any easy one to hit, I'd be surprised.

Kraken might be waiting for a $100 million in marketcap before they list it.

If Kraken will have it, I have to assume Polo will have it too.

When will Waves be listed in the exchanges?  And at which exchanges will it be listed on?  I think it really matters where it will be listed on.  If it gets listed on some exchange with small volume, I don't think traders from Polo will rush into some small exchange just to trade Waves.  And keep in mind most traders are smart, they know a quick dump is incoming by the token holders who bought in at the ICO.

So I hope they get listed on Polo in order to get the needed volume and liquidity for a successful launch, but even then it's not even as sure bet yet.  I mean take a look at the DAO.  The token holders from the ICO who intended to dump early are trapped at this point.

Its my understanding waves and Kraken have a mutual banking arrangement with Fidor bank in Germany where waves is registered

Waves brings the blockchain and banking to one platform, it is business oriented and not just tech. A lot of popular platforms focus on very few features. I excpect Waves to surpass Ripple by years end because its an evolution of what Ripple attemted to be.

I predict 100-140 cents short term.

is the download for the wallet going to be on the waves website or somewhere else ?

Next week might be the perfect timing for Waves launch since there are indicators that the recent BTC surge is getting a correction in price (in my vision the dump already started). Waves might attract new investors willing to edge their investment against BTC by choosing other coins.  ::)

Dont think Waves is a reliable "hedge" without a decent platform etc.
At the moment ETH is the only "good" hedge.

Any updates on which exchanges will list Waves?  I do believe where it gets listed will matter a lot.  I hope they don't make a mistake getting it listed mainly on Bittrex.  Although it's fine as a back up exchange.

Waves fiat connection is what makes it interesting, i see many fiat users getting in through the gateways.

So Waves Platform is going to be like Ripple?  Will it also have a built in exchange with Waves (the coin/token) usable as a bridge currency for easy currency conversion?

If so, then I think the Waves platform will be very interesting.

Fiat approach is similar to Ripple, tech-wise, Waves is a cryptocurrency, while Ripple isn't completely centralized and 90+% is hold by insiders. On Waves side you will have additionally decentralized asset exchange, gateways will be issuing fiat assets on the platform itself, for withdrawing/depositing cash you will need to do KYC on gateways, for trading only crypto assets and trading only fiat assets no KYC needed. Apart from that every action in Waves consumes Waves tokens.

XRP in the Ripple network serves also a bridge currency in its builtin exchange, which is its most awesome feature imo.  I was hoping to see it more in other platforms and I was hoping we would all see it in Waves.  That feature in Ripple didn't see its full potential because Ripple Labs were all going "legal" and played by the SEC's rules rather than pushing the technology to its limits.

Wish I did that and sold my WAVE at 60k then re bought at 25k.  Doh!

Less than two weeks later the price is around $0.173417. That's less than the ICO buyers paid isn't it? It could be because waves isn't on poloniex, but I'm sceptical of whether getting on that exchange would make the price go up.

its a platform actually, sort of like it displays charts of the crypto currency market. someday it may replace the exchange sites that crypto traders will use.
waves itself can be traded inside the platform in exchange to any fiat or crypto. so this technology is a game changer and will soon be valuable. it might just surpass ETH.
