Perhaps someone using it to buy up bitcoin form peoples stop losses. I don't know why you would use stop loss with bitcoin... But I did not see that happening, so I'm assuming that someone was just selling a little to enthousiastically.
Edit: Does Bitfinex have 'dark orders' like Kraken has? So orders that do not show up on the public order book but do get executed at the moment the trader wants it to? It's simply the exchange itself adding non existing orders to make the order book look strong while in fact it isn't strong at all. If some one even dumps $1 worth of coins it can take the price down significantly.
