Title: Litecoin version of SilkRoad! Post by: Tomatocage on March 14, 2013, 05:25:21 PM Saw this posted in Newbies:
Hello fellow Litecoiners & Bitcoiners. Today we would like to officially announce the release of our new website & service, Atlantis -- The free market. Many of you will be familiar with SilkRoad, and as I'm sure most (maybe not all) of you will agree, SR has put Bitcoin on the map and in the eyes of the general public, the media, and the cryptocurrency communities. SR continues to strengthen the Bitcoin economy to this day. Our team decided that in order for Litecoin to make its mark in the cryptocurrency world it needed a similar service backing it. So, with that being said, we would like to officially invite you all to Atlantis (or ATL for short), the Litecoin free market. Users of SR will feel at home using our website. However we've also improved on a few key areas that are a weakness in the current SR service, such as security, overall look & feel, ease of use, regular updates and last but definitely not least -- cheaper commission rates! Regardless of whether or not you support this kind of activity, we are certain that with the right leadership this is a positive step toward the adoption and tangibility of the Litecoin currency. To access Atlantis, you have a few options: 1. Download the Tor Browser Bundle at: https://www.torproject.org/download/download-easy.html.en and navigate to http://atlantisrky4es5q.onion 2. Configure your browser to use the Tor client (Tor client also downloaded at the above). 3. You can access the website without any additional software by clicking here: http://atlantisrky4es5q.onion.sh or here: http://atlantisrky4es5q.tor2web.org -- These are Tor proxy services. We tend to find the proxy services operate faster, however if maximum security is your concern you should use the Browser Bundle. To familiarise yourself with the website we have created a buyer and seller guide which can be accessed upon logging in. For a limited time, we will also be giving the first 3 MONTHS of trades entirely commission free to high sellers on other markets. If you wish to take up this opportunity, and can provide proof of ownership of your account on the other market, please create an account on Atlantis and message support. Please note we will only be giving these to limited users, apologies if you miss out. We will also be answering questions in this thread, so feel free to ask away. Trolls will be ignored. Many thanks, The Atlantis team. Title: Re: Litecoin version of SilkRoad? Post by: nwbitcoin on March 14, 2013, 06:13:27 PM This is a shame but the free market is amoral, so best of luck! :)

Title: Re: Litecoin version of SilkRoad! Post by: Tomatocage on March 14, 2013, 07:49:05 PM I can't connect to BTC-e at all right now.

Best thing to do is to clear your cache and cookies, and not to visit the site for half an hour. I get error messages if I refresh the page too much, triggers their DDOS defense. Since you haveposted a random comment, let the random talk begin! Title: Re: Litecoin version of SilkRoad! Post by: Simran on March 14, 2013, 08:39:48 PM The funny part is that I know nearly everyone that is selling on there LOL.
Title: Re: Litecoin version of SilkRoad! Post by: Warry on March 14, 2013, 09:50:36 PM Might look into this. I've been selling quite a lot on SR, with a high reputation, so this might be interesting for me as well. Don't know yet if I want to spend $25 on a seller account while it might not become a success, though.

You sell "quite a lot on SR" with a "high reputation" yet your worried about the potential of a 25$ loss. What is it you sell on SR? Baggies? Title: Re: Litecoin version of SilkRoad! It's not about the amount, I just find it a waste of money to buy a sellers account to find out there's completely no activity on the site. Even if you have enough money in real life you wouldn't toss $25 on the ground just for fun either, would you? Title: Re: Litecoin version of SilkRoad! You're correct, even if I was rich I would not toss 25$ on the ground, unless I was drunk of course! ;) But I am a gambler and as such I would take the risk and try to make some new clients and connects, although I would never use a site similar to SR if its marketing plan was to attack the clearnet forums, but clearly that is not the issue for you. I just did read their thread in litecoinforum and it seems that the price for seller account has been decreased to 10 usd for the start. Title: Re: Litecoin version of SilkRoad! I hope all you're selling on SR is BTC's cause if you're selling anything illegal, you're pretty fucking stupid to be admitting you have a vendors account on an open forum on clearnet!!! ??? Even if you're not selling anything illegal, do you really think its a good idea to admit to being an SR vendor??? WTF!! |
