Title: unfair treatment to new members
Post by: rockso on March 17, 2013, 06:50:18 PM
i get the whole scam thing with non-reversible currency. but the way some of you people with higher post counts treat the new guys is really appalling.

low post count = scammer

high post count = idiot

The higher the post count, the more successful scams they've witnessed ;D  Doesn't make them stupid.  Just makes them untrusting.  They're un-doing what the chargeback did, which is, allowed them to trust anyone anywhere with their money, knowing they could get it back if they had to.  Makes people lazy with their money.  Now they're a lot smarter about who they hand their cash to, and aren't going to take kindly to the new guy who really really wants a loan quick (or, the amount of time it takes to not think about where your money is going.)

Im a 3 day old new user to this board, and although i havnt been on the wrong end of a response (im sure i will now!) yet, 'appalling' is exactly the word i would use from reading some of the threads. 'Arrogance' is another, while 'delusions of grandeur' seem to be being played out here.
I think this phrase sums up my current thoughts.... 'familiarity breeds contempt'

Whats going on guys n girls?

You have stolen thousands from people.  Pay them back.

This guy has scammed people over and over.  Same MO.  Sell a few things for real, then go for the big score.

Just promise people 7% per week. Post count is irrelevant.

True, that works well.  Especially if you have a few sock puppets start banter including the fact that they got a payment.

It works marvellously.

i understand. i really do. ive been ripped off too. we all have. that doesnt make it OK to treat people the way im being treated. its like having somebody who is a different color than you steal from you and then thinking all people that color are like that. just cause i have low post count and nice things doesnt make me like everybody else.

It has nothing to do with your post count.  It has to do with the fact that you are BTC_GUY.

100 percent agreed guys here are a bunch of dicks. If you say things like that they will ban you.

@deathcode rules 12 and 5 are idiotic. I agree you should be diligent, but the real way to do well is to know who to trust not to trust no one. Every transaction begins with trust.

thank you sir. its nice to know not everybody is against me. like i said i do understand about new guys with high ticket items. but alot of the people in this community are just plain mean. there is never a good reason to threaten somebody and tell them your going to put them in a hole. poor foggyb has been around since may 2011 and people are still bothering him and talking smack about his 7970s. i noticed he got tired of it locked his thread, unlocks to bump, then locks again so stupid people dont derail his thread. thats sad. the way some of you guys treat new guys and talk down established members merchandise really says alot about this community.

Maybe newbies get extra scrutiny.  That scrutiny helped weed you out.  You are a known scammer.

Since he's refused to answer, I'll just leave this here:

rockso/retropcdos/BTCGuy's posting with his pic of his BFLs sitting on a glass table with metal frame and floor tile visible underneath.
Click the pics for larger "CSI" versions  ;D

retropcdos/BTCGuy's recent ebay listings with the same table/floor:

Anyone dealing with rockso should be well aware that they are dealing with a known scammer. No amount of hardware is worth it imho.

Here are a few rules which you should keep handy as they have served me well.

1) TRUST NO ONE!
2) READ #1 AGAIN
3) NEVER EVER LEND BTC (PERIOD)
4) REMEMBER BTC IS A RISKY INVESTMENT AND YOU SHOULDN'T FULLY RELY ON IT, OR, IN MILDER WORDS (JUST TO PLEASE THE FANS) NEVER PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET.
5) READ #1 AGAIN

Now that we established that and it's clear... let's talk about unfair treatment:

Do you really think people with higher post counts are idiots? Remember they were newbies too. Also, we are talking about having higher post count? Really??? Does that entitle people with higher post count to bragging rights? If so, then allow me to tell anyone with a higher post count that IT'S AN INTERNET FORUM!!! GET A LIFE!!!
There's absolutely no reason for anyone to "brag about" being a hero member or higher...
If you're a CEO of a fortune 500 company, fine, you can brag about it, if you're an All-Star Athlete, sure, go ahead. Are you a US Senator? Awesome, you can also brag about it. Do you have two PHD's? Amazing!
Are you a Hero Member? LMFAO, please don't even try it. The community will give you the respect you deserve for being a long BTC supporter, but don't even dare to "brag" or belittle anyone in this forum because you don't really have any position of power nor authority. The most you'll get is a laugh from someone, in many cases, smarter than you.
Just use the golden rule and everyone will be fine.
Remember, we are all in here because we support and we believe in this emerging currency.

are we allowed to brag about being a senior member???
