       TheAltcoinBoard.com, initially launched on March 18, 2016, implementing the idea of a cryptocurrency related discussion board, which rewards the registered users for sharing their thoughts,  ideas, and opinions about different crypto related topics. Being in association with PostCoin, gave the core of the whole concept, since the users were rewarded with AltcoinBoard tokens, which they were able to exchange into PostCoin and then withdraw.  After a successful launch of PostCoin, with the initial free distribution, TheAltcoinBoard.com userbase started to grow from day-to-day. To ensure and maintain the development of thealtcoinboard.com project, we decided, by mutual agreement, to separate our ways and drop the PostCoin project, and now AltcoinBoard is to release a coin dedicated to the forum.
   Therefore we decided to realease XAB, keeping Proof-of-Stake for minting, but adding such features like, Instant Masternode creation, stealth addresses
 and built in encrypted messaging system.  Althrough both coins are pure PoS, the new one (XAB) is based on a recent source of Bitcoin, it is more innovative, advanced and cleaner than the outdated source used by PostCoin.
The most important feature of XAB is the Easy-Setup-Masternode feature, which gives the opportunity to the long-term holders to grow their XAB stack, in a more efficient way. Easy-Setup means that users are able to set up their Masternode without, entering long codes into console and creating complicated conf files.

Masternode info

To run a Masternode, you must store 300.000 XAB in your node wallet as a collateral.
Due to the fact that the Masternode rewards program is a fixed percentage and the Masternode network nodes are fluctuating, expected Masternode rewards will vary according to the current total count of active Masternodes. An estimate payment for a standard day for running a Masternode can be calculated by using the following formula:

Where:
n is the number of Masternodes an operator controls
t is the total number of Masternodes
r is the current block reward
b is blocks in an average day.
a is the average Masternode payment

Instant Masternode Setup

1. Launch XAB wallet, and make sure that your wallet is not encrypted, then on the left panel, select the Masternode tab
2. On the top of the window, select My Master Nodes and click on "Create Local" button to start a Masternode. Once you've clicked on the button, you just have to wait 7 confirmations and your Masternode is already running.
3. To make sure that your Masternode is running properly, in you XAB.conf file place the line "staking=0". This will prevent your wallet to start staking while you run a Masternode

POW blocks with 0 reward were implemented to help the chain to in the beginning. This is needed since on the very beginning there are no maturzied stakes, or stakes that reach the minimum stake age so these wont start generating new blocks.

Mine works also fine. I've just launched a new wallet on a new virtual machine, connected and synced without conf file or addnode.

I register all nodes, no effect. I remove all blokchaine, trying to re-upload the same effect 0. I do not get it...
The rest of the wallet on this virtual machine is running normally.

Explain this fact. First mined 18 coins, they are confirmed. Then I turn off the wallet, run again and I have already produced 8 coins. How can this be?

The Free Distribution phase will end on 13th of August, so you have almost 1 month to reach 100 posts.

Its because of the Masternode reward system.
As stated in the specifications section in the OP, the basic PoS block value is 18 XAB. This reward is divided into 2 parts. 10 XAB goes for the Masternode , 8 XAB goes to the staker. When the transaction comes in, it shows the whole 18 coins that were mined in that block but since we have masternode on the network 10 coins from that block goes to a masternode and 8 coins are the stake reward.

its 2 different things if dont have connections or wallet is not synced. Once you have at least 1 connection, the wallet syncronization will start, but the length of the syncronization depends on how many blocks were already mined/minted/generated in the network

Create XAB.conf in C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Roaming\XAB and add the following. When creating the .conf file make sure that the file name extension isn't conf.txt

Although we tried the wallet on different environments with different configs we didn't met any connection issues.
Make sure that a firewall or an antivirus isn't blocking the wallet connections.

You need to have 300.000 XAB in your wallet as a collateral. If you have that amount you just have to click Create Local and thats all.
If a masternode goes off-line nothing happens, since the PoS block aren't generated by Masternodes. These are getting only rewards from PoS.

Before you request the Free XAB please read carefully and follow the Request Process detailed in the OP.

For now the Masternodes are special nodes that are ensuring a healthy network by rewarding it's owner for keeping the Masternode online

Ok cool, but you said "If a masternode goes off-line nothing happens", so what is the benefit of having masternode in the network if nothing bad happens if it's not in the network...? Masternodes seem to be getting rewards for nothing...

Masternodes are getting their reward first of all for locking a considerable amount of XAB in a collateral address, also they are earning for securing the network only when they are online, if a Masternode goes offline they are not receiving the share from PoS

Well, if they don't generate POS blocks then they actually don't secure anything. No?
The only benefit seems to be the lock out for 300 k XAB, but the logic of lock out (at least for me) would be not to allow maturing in order to get rewards, but to get rewards for not dumping. I'm not sure how does it work, so more details appreciated please...

Another question: if reward for locking coins is higher than POS block generation ( 10 vs 8 ), then I guess the maturity time  should be longer, and some additional locking conditions would need to be applied too...?

Works fine for me also. Its normal that the masternode disappears from the list if the owner, turns his pc of or whatever. once he turns it back it will appear again

If you don't have connection issues is not necessary to use the new wallet. The only difference between the two wallets are the hard-coded nodes

I can mining with a one PC wallet at a POS and Masternode method? it be without problems? and if initial money supply 30M at a measternode collateral 300k first time can be only 10k masternodes?

If you are having a single pc you can either stake POS or have a Masternode on it both of them is not working at the same time.
What about masternodes i don't think that lowering to 10K would be beneficial as there would be a lot of masternodes and very few staking wallets. Masternodes here are on the cheap side for ~0.5 BTC one can have a Masternode so i don't think that the collateral should be lowered

10 for masternode so 8 is what you get as normal user.
That's a display bug, this "update" happens when you restart wallet.

When you mint a PoS block the transaction shows the whole amount that was generated in that block, but in reality only 8 is rewarded from that block to the POS miner and 10 is credited to the Masternode. When you restart the wallet the transaction list shows the amount that was credited to you not the whole block.

Here is why not to run a master node :

300K for setting up one and it earns you 10 per reward.
Currently nobody runs a masternode so staking would give you 18 per reward and you can create a huge amount of stacks staking.
Also they serve no purpose what so ever, since all data gets relayed by normal nodes anyway.

Better do some recalculations. There is a Masternode which is/was running for like 5 days. That masternode got 10 XAB from EVERY PoS block when its online, while a regular staker gets reward only from a several blocks in a day.
Probably the owners PC or VPS or whatever is shut down atm thats why no active masternode is on the list atm.
EDIT: i see now that the masternode is running, so what you've wrote just failed

Masternodes aren't implemented in a coin to everyone have one. if you check out some MN featured coins you can see that the price of the MNs were pretty high, like here in XAB. so summa summarum it worths to run a masternode imo

We have released a wallet update with new hard-coded nodes. As we said before we tried the wallets on different environments with different configs and we didn't met connection issues.
Also we contacted multiple exchanges, including NovaExchange,Yobit, Coinexchange and Livecoin. From most of them we've got positive feedbacks so probably XAB will be posted in most of them in the following days.

Try to delete everything except the wallet.dat and wait for the wallet to get synced totally.
Once you have a few connections, you should wait some time before the wallet starts syncing.

nova has had its ups and downs and im surprized it has not gone belly up yet but it also seems that its gaining a bit of ground and might get to be so called decent if the keep up the hard work! unfortunately its ran by a guy with a job and the job isnt the exchange and it ends up making people wait for things until he gets home to his computer to fix the issues

can you explain me, why XAB 30mln in time when POST is 15mln coins. So you make swap with +20% it is a 18mln coins. All that above go to airdrops, as i understand. I never use GUI Wallet under linux only daemon but UPNPC/src/leveldb/libleveldb.a: No such file or directory could be a hint that it wasn't compiled at all. Go into the leveldb directoriy and check if the build_detect_platform script is executable. If not use chattr +x build_detect_platform to make it executable. After that switch back to start and try to compile again.

sorry .. here end my ideas .. looks like a problem with your boost include files. In such cases deleting the boos package on your system and compiling it fresh may help ..

but you need to "experiment around" a bit here

you said that you are using a Linux daemon. but as you learn the balance on your wallet if no GUI? and how do I compile a daemon?

I compile the daemon directly from within the src directory.

But this daemon was pain in the *** to compile ...

for some reason secp256k1 is linked dynamical and is allready present in obj/crypto as object ..

to compile the daemon go to the  <desired_crypt_coin>/src directory and use 'make -f makefile.unix USE_UMPM=-' to compile a daemon without UPNP support.

after tha copy the damon to /usr/local/bin (depending on your linux distribution) , create a non-privileged user, logon and start the damon.

at the forst start he told you to edit the .conf file in the datadirectory (~/.<cryptcoin>). Edit the conf file



and start daemon again. When the daemon is running it can be controlled by commandline - try XABd help

What is happened? I can't sync my wallet for several hours. I'm stucked at block 26803 and I have 4 active connections...

I have no problem syncing my wallet I'm using the windows version only have 2 active connections,that is weird have you tried closing and opening your wallet have done it on two occasions and had success..

After you have launched your wallet, and connections appeared, wait a little bit so the wallet will start syncing.

I run after the wallet nil active connections. After a few hours there one active connection, but it is cut off.

The amount of tokens you get for a post, depends on multiple factors. For posts like "+1","great","scam" the users get penalties, while for posting higher quality, longer posts they get rewards depending on the number of words. Also remember that there is a max limit of 25 tokens/post.
Spam or meaningless FUD posts are moderated and filtered and if a user gets reported multiple times, and has multiple warnings, they risk for life ban.

These are all correct,I suggest to look at your XAB folder and delete a peer.dat files if there is one then re start your wallet I have done this to other wallet but not sure with Xab since I synced it on day one..

The dev should make an effort to get Xab listed on major exchange having one is not good for the credibility of the coin I am staking coin nicely it's profitable to think I only had 32,000 here,Yobit is a good place to trade XAB will wait for it to arrive there..

There was a the same problem. I decided to it this way:
1. Remove the old wallet.
2. Remove information from Appdata.
3. Install a new wallet.
4. Created in Appdata configuration with nodes.

Once you have created the XAB.conf file and added the nodes please wait a few minutes and the wallet will find without any problems the nodes and will start syncing.

We paid the listing fee for a second time, also XAB haven't been added yet. We also tried to reach BlackSmith multiple times, but the support tickets are processed by mods, so these support tickets aren't reaching BlackSmith. Also we tried to get their Skype address, but we still didn't got it.

Try with @richiela, the Bittrex dev. Yoshit is a scam exchange.
