Cast your vote with your bitcoin price prediction for the year 2017

My vote when for 1k to 1.2k. In 1 year the price should have get some traction and above the 1k at the minimum.
Sure there is no guarantee, but i got a very strongly feeling this will happen.

well i honestly believe that the price is going to be over 1.4 thousand dollars because there is still a lot of time to go and i think that we will easily reach a new all time high

Bitcoin will probably worth about what it is now, there isn't much of a reason for it to spike beyond this in the future aside from maybe some events happening related to the world and things beyond the Bitcoin community.

A lot of things can happen in a year, but I would say it's a safe bet that Bitcoin will be around $700 a year from now, maybe slightly more.

I hope and think that the price exactly a year later from now broke through the $1000 level already. I know as soon as the price hits $1000 again that it will attract a lot people to sell their coins at that level, but with enough buying power we can try to settle above it for a longer period.

My prediction would be in the range bitcoin 750USD at the end of july 2017. Now the movement is quite slow and relatively no increase. reasonably possible when the end of july closed with rise 100 USD. I hope that will happen.

a year from now there can be a lot of things in bitcoin that has changed it and made it more valuable. but if i want to choose a price for July 2017 i choose anything avoce $700 to be 100% correct but by how much higher is not easy to answer.

Yes, I believe the price will fall between $800 to $1000 on July next year because I noticed that it has been slow in the past few weeks even after the halving happened but I'm pretty sure that it will increase though.

I think there is a fair chance that the price in July 2017 sits at least above $900 and perhaps even very close to the $1000 mark.

I hope that the price is going to be somewhere in the thousands because I have been waiting a long time for something like that to finally happen.

Why? There's no such thing as instant and fast price increase even halving passed. There would be correction needed in every price levels so that we can bound off comfortably to the next level. So I think before the end of the year, we can't see such dream price of above $1000. It needs time and lots of actions by a pumpers in order to achived that level.

I think the bitcoin price will be worth between $1100 to $1300. It will be the double of current price.

my vote goes to above $1000 for the July of 2017.
it is one year from now and with the growth that bitcoin had in the past up until this point and also with considering the fact that this growth has not slowed down over all (looking at the long term) i expect bitcoin to grow big enough to be worth above $800 at least by the end of this year and go to $1000+ in the next year.

although there is always also the possibility of another big bubble in which case we can expect $2000 but that will not stay.

After the Bitfinex hack, the price might not be that high. It could be between $900 to $1000 at the time.

The price is recovering after the bfx hack already, it will be totally forgotten about in a few months (price affecting wise).

I went for between $1000-$1200.

It is possible for the bitcoin price to between $1000 and 1200 in July 2017. Without the hack, the price could be $1500.

The Bitfinex exchange hack caused some confidence drop of the bitcoin, it reduce the price rise for a few months.

we at least have seen another faulty exchange get whooped as they messed up big time. no one takes bitfinex serious anymore, which is a good thing. but then again, it was the largest btc/usd exchange by volume. after china it was bitfinex somewhat leading the usd exchanges. what exchange will take over that role? that will be very important in order to see the price take a clear upwards direction. otherwise it will be a complete chinese ruled market

I think will be around USD 700-800

still four months left but I am pretty sure bitcoin can stay at between $ 800- $ 1000 in 2017 at least one month before the end of this year there will be a surge in the price as is that commonly occur.

I can see this being a relatively realistic estimate.Something like a $220 rise over the course of 17 months isn't unheard of for Bitcoin, and it can occur more often than not. I'm personally hoping for an upswing with the market sooner rather than later, but I'm fine with it happening whenever.

though there is no need to, its just another lesson for people that they should not hold their money in exchanges even if they are traders because it is easy to lose it then

i think worth of 1 btc in the future of july 2017 will be 700$ .
my assumption is mainly based upon the fact that there is net gain of rate of btc thus i have added 100$ with the avrage price of btc .
in my openion the price will move around 600-700$ .

I am much more optimistic. The price in July 2017 will be between $1000 to $1500. $700 can be in October this year.

He said 2000 $ for 1 BTC, which is too much. But maybe he have some information`s about it that nobody else knows.
I would like BTC to reach 1000 $ and maybe a bit more, what would be awesome also is to stay there and hold that high price. I see many of us wish to see that high price, but this halving surprised us all, Im not sure how much btc can rise for one year, for me its to hard to even guess.

That could be a right guess. I think the price will be around $700 in October and $900 in December this year.

I do not know what the price of the Bitcoin is going to be because I cannot look in to the future and predicting it is not my thing.
I just hope that the value is going to be somewhere in the thousands so that I can sell.

Well, soon july 2017 will soon arrive, and I firmly believe that at the moment it is very much has changed about bitcoin. perhaps at that moment bitcoin price has reached $ 1000 and even more. may be very good if we collect bitcoin from today before bitcoin prices actually rose to the height

It's less than a year before July 2017 comes. If we even make a 30% increase from now until that time (with price swing and pullbacks, as expected), we might see $800 or higher by then. 30% is not a big increase actually, especially if we are talking about bitcoin. But I won't complain or feel disappointed if we don't reach that price come July next year.

That's very optimistic. I would find it suprising if the price would pass the 1k honestly. Without any indicators that we have a uptrend coming, a price somewhere between the   600 - 700 region is an fair estimation. That is offcourse if there is no big news.

It depends what future events will be like. If we won't see anything negative, something on the level of major exchange hack like Bitfinex.
Or bitcoin advance march won't be stopped by some sort of negative legislation then price of $1000 is not that unimaginable.
Furthermore we might expecting some positive movements because of project like Kim DotCom's Bitcache planned for 2017.

Chinese exchanges that trade only CNY-BTC pair have by far higher trading volumes (USD wise) than Bitfinex had. On the other hand, such exchanges as BitStamp and Kraken can easily fill the void if Bitfinex gets totally abandoned and forgotten.

Regarding the question in the OP, in my view, the Bitcoin price would massively depend on the US dollar behavior provided there are no major events in the Bitcoin ecosystem such as halvings, hard-forks, big-time hacks, and so on, which are hard to predict. And it is as hard to predict the influence of these events on the price if (when) they do happen, though the price will scarcely go down below $500, while the upside is virtually unlimited unless a total Black Swan event is going to occur.

Yes, optimism is the most appropriate thing to do. Because with optimistic we can do something in the spirit of things. Therefore we must remain optimistic to grab something that will probably be larger than now. My estimate is indeed potential to become extremely bitcoin currency with prices quite high in the future

We cannot predict this, no one can do this but I think that it will be around the 800 - 1000 dollar range by than but we really have to see this.
Everyone is hoping on  a nice amount but its still the question if this will happen.

It depends if we can get more users, more services accepting Bitcoin,
and how well any of the altcoins do.
Its probably a good thing if one or two other coins start being accepted at sites, because it strengthens cryptocurrencies as a whole.

un my opinion the rate of btc will be in the range of $800-$1000 . because per year in july there is always gain in the rate of btc . so i think in 2017 yeae same will be done . and price can cross the rate limit of even $1000/btc .

Just voted for the 4th one because I think with this trend bitcoin can reach $800 to $1,000 within 10 months.

This target is not far but also is not easy to be reached but I hope that even if this is not reached by that time the price of bitcoin will be very near to $800.

I chose between 600-800 still I'm not saying that it wouldn't rise too much in the future but still the event of rising and falling and sometimes it stabilize then 10 months would be short to consider and I put the bracket to those prices. Well we don't know what would b the price but in my speculation is in between 600 to 800.

A lot of things can happen even if it's just less than a year from now. An exchange website can get hacked, that will reduce the price of Bitcoin significantly. New whales are filling up their stash, that will rise the Bitcoin price. More and more advertisement about Bitcoin, that will gather more people, thus, there'll be new investors. That'll increase the Bitcoin price as well. It's quite hard to tell what would be the price in the future because all sorts of events can happen in such short period of time.

Well till July 2017 there are almost 10 months and I can say it much time for many good things to happen for Bitcoin. It is currently seems very stable at above $580 here I am not talking about current price of $ 607. I gave my vote for $800-$1000. This will be very good price and realistic to be happen. I don't expect any higher range than this but this is my prediction to see the price next year.

Halving are not gonna happen yet on 2017 but for what i've seen the rally is up and maybe in that year the price go up fore more since adoption will go spread wider and it will hit to direct markets so big possibilities that in thay year we can see those price or maybe we can see again that the price reached again at 1k+ like what have just happen before and it has high possibilities that it will happen again since history records that this price really mark up and maybe in year 2017 we can peep to that price mark.

i think bitcoin will be worth around 800usd - 1000 usd, i can only see small continous growth from here as long as there is no bad press happen during this time.  More and more people and company are taking advantage of bitcoin features, there are also lots of Marketing  company that take notice of bitcoin as one of their medium of payment.  So basically, more adoption and development will come and make the bitcoin  price to increase.

I also think it will be around that number but its pretty hard to tell if you are asking me, no one can tell the future of the bitcoin because its very unpredictable.

Maybe in 2017 the bitcoin $1200 has reached a bitcoin price. Since bitcoin while taking more and more it knows and uses . So that the increase of bitcoin mining and increase the support it because they know that bitcoin is a very nice opportunity for making money and earn.

Bitcoin prediction in July 2017 is trending on an average of $1,000 so far with maximum number of votes. I think we should consider few elements such as megaupload with bitcoin connection is going to be launch in somewhere between January 2017. I personally think. Bitcoin will be trailing around $1,000 mark till July of next year because previous moments and records have shown us that price will keep fluctuating but at the end it remains stable at some point.

And as it always happens, the majority will be proved wrong again. A few months prior to 2016 halving, the same majority had been of an opinion that the price should spike after the halving, while only a few had been claiming that the price would actually surge before the halving and drop soon thereafter. Now that the majority have been proven wrong one time more, you can use their "prediction" as a sort of contrary indicator.

Well, i can speculate how much the price of bitcoin in Juli 2017, because it's still a long journey. But, i think the price changed. My hope is the price can increase or at least stable.

I think price will be in the range upper than $1000 as price seem steadily rising with ocassional dump over time. July of 2017 is still very far so price may gradually increase to touch new high price level.

For now, there are no real reasons for the price to move from where it is at the moment. All we hear are just talks and vaporware, and it will just be that way until we get something really game changing.

I still believe in Kim Dot Com prediction/promise that his service Bitcache and Megaupload 2.0 will take bitcoin to new ATH of $2000 in 2017.
Also in 2017 we will probably have bitcoin network upgrades in place - I am talking about Lightning Network and SegWit - these 2 will boost bitcoin network and price will follow.

we had plenty of similar stories in the past, that where left where they started, that is just being news in the distant, not precise future.
I won't count on the effect of such events unless they are realistically close to become real stories. Therefore, I wouldn't count on Kim either.

I don't really believe on some certain prediction of people's about bitcoins price since no one can predict what will gonna happen to it in the future and i find also his basis are no guarantee that his prediction will gonna be happen, and o would rather believe if there's certain event that can help lift up the price like halving and that is the prettiest realistic to tell that price would really go up if that event will gonna be happen.

That is certainly true, but you could see from the way they predict. Most of the people who made the right predictions is that they always see the data and they prefer predictions indeed obtained from valid data. You may not believe it, but the data is something that is very valuable to them in the benefit

We cant really predict on bitcoins price since  no one really know on what would be the future would be.  As you said  people  could somehow  do make speculations and  predictions because they have basis ex. charts, which they could  get idea on the  price movement but  for me its still not a guarantee that we could  precisely predict the price.

What kind of data did you mean? Looking at the past charts may or may not help you in predicting the future trends. It is always easy after the events happen to look for patterns on the charts and say, oh there is one clearly visible here. But in reality, when the part of the chart on the right-hand side is blank, there are many ways equally likely to be the correct ones.

I think $800 by July of next year isn't asking too much. It might even go higher than that depending on the events that are going to take place in that span of time. We were at $400 for a while before the price reached almost $800, in a very short period of time, at that. I won't be expecting that much surge by next year since no halving event will happen until 2020. 2016 is still a few months away from becoming history and we still have some time to reach even $700.

I want bitcoin to be stable, so hopefully around $800. I wouldn't like for it to go up to $2,000 and then have a huge drop. That's not good for the coin.

Let's see first, if there is something like rising trend in the post-halving aftermath and then let's see the rest of the story.

If we'll by that time settle at least above $800 then it's a great thing for all of us as we all want to see a sustainable growth, instead of peaks that nearly always fall back down to lower levels than where they started.

Well, that would be great what you write, but let's put our feet on the ground for a while.
It was a very brief the visit we did at $800 level this year, and we went immediately down afterwards. Now, if we want to revisit that level, we need to have better arguments: either a solid fundamental development (I don't see that at the moment, but who knows?) or a pump bigger than this year halving pump (well, pumps are hard to predict until they happen).

This is my prediction for the short. According to that price will range in july 2017 somewhere between $720 ~ $880

There will be fair chances of reaching this levels, though in the end it might even go further up. In the end nothing is sure, because i think the resistence will start to be strong above 900

July 2017 pff it's difficult to look into the feature but my best realistic guess would be 7-800$ not much more.
We have to stay realistic and right now bitcoins price is not really going up with drastic speed as it should be doing.

i think the Rate wilk be 600-800$/btc because there is a lot of stability in the bitcoin rate and usually it fluctuate in smal interval with the price $600/btc so i think i would not cross $800/btc rate .

I think bitcoin will be worth 2k in july 2017. Because 2016 was very slow in 2017 it will shoot up I think from december 2016 the price will change alot already cause people have extra money and are looking for investments alot will end up with bitcoin.

Don't got a clue but we're currently building a solid base to settle on. Perhaps it'll continue on from here. Someone on r/bitcoinmarkets pointed out that the price has stayed above $500 for four months straight now. That's the longest it's been since the megabubble.

Because at august the 2nd we dropped below $500 on several exchanges due to the Bitfinex hack.

if you don't count the dump to $465 just after the bitfinex hack, then yes, the price has been over the $500 for months. right now we have to focus on keeping the price above $600 which is not an easy thing to do. one bit of bad news, and we're falling down like a rock again.

Im not hoping that theres another  big problem would exist again  on bitcoin world  like hacking incident and other problems that would really affect on the bitcoin price.  As you said   keeping the price above  $600 mark is too damn hard. My prediction on bitcoins price would be still on $800 i guess.

In july 2017 I'd say 800$ per coin so that's 200 up from right now that seems realistic but only if development is going alright and nothing bad happens with bitcoin.
Still i think that's hard to reach in that amount of time lately bitcoin has been going as fast as a turtle does.

There's no way to know the price in that time and to make a guess is too difficult cause it will be completely random.

It was either a knee-jerk reaction or somebody trying to stir up a panic selling. Maybe the hackers themselves had been shorting Bitcoin prior to and right after the hack. Anyways, it didn't come to stay. The market saw it all, and the next time something like that happens again, people will start buying up Bitcoin like there's no tomorrow. In my view, it would need an insanely massive sell-out of bitcoins to draw the price substantially below the $600 mark, say, into the 400-500 range.

i think this is too conservative because we are already at $600-$700, so a +$100 increase is very small, i think it will be $800-1000, much more reasonable as a prediction, but it can be much higher

Well it depends  on  people  perception on  how they saw regarding  on bitcoin  price in next year which  we could somehow assumed  that  it would  definitely inccrease its price but  it  would not surpass 1k mark  for sure  , as he said  we could see price stbilization and  some   price drops  lately which  we could  assume that it would  continue  on next year then its  hard for us to reach  even 900 i guess.IMO

yes, the increase in 2017 I predicted would also be much higher. in that year, I believe many users bitcoin.

The value would certainly be from $800 to $1000. The price would really start growing end of this year and would reach the said target in July 2017. The prediction ratio on this is really positive. Many are really waiting for this target. Though after halving, the price has gone down, it would be normal again to $800 soon. The economic growth is high now. The value of bitcoin is reaching every corner. We can see many users are into this forum. This shows the growth of bitcoin. 

Well said Chennai, yes it’s really good sign that the trend is showing a positive movement and majority thinks that bitcoin price will continue to move at upper direction. I am very confident about bitcoin because many factors and I believe that bitcoin can really bring a serious change in our day to day transactions. Especially when the world trade is increasing day by day, bitcoin has good scope to have position where there are limits in fiat.

An upward trend is always a good sign, regardless of whether or not it is actually growing your wealth or recovering from something.

While I personally don't mind a lot of what we're seeing and I think we're going to have a nice trend on the way soon, I don't think we'll be seeing >$800 unless something pretty major happens and a lot of people flock to Bitcoin.

Yes wee love upward trend (bitcoin holder) because it gives more value to our holdings wether it is small or big holdings.  I think if there is the right time for full ads and hype, now is the time because of the update coming that will open bitcoin to future updates and advancement.  If done perfectly and sync it with this update, who knows maybe we can see pass 900 USD in the next month.

I choose 800$-1000$ maybe that is the worth of bitcoin on july 2017. If you can see now the price of bitcoin stock at 600$ to 700$ so stable price hard to down and up the price. So maybe in 2017 bitcoin reach again that price. Or maybe before the end of this year bitcoin goes up

Why July 2017, what's so specific about that date? I'll play the game any way though, maybe $800. Hopefully more but $800 is my realistic estimate.

I have voted for 800$ to 1000$ and i am glad to see that i am in the majority of votes because this result looks a bit more realistic than those who have voted for above 1000$.Its not gonna rise that much but would show a little increase in price.

I'm really hoping on  a good price but we cannot see this in the future of the bitcoin because its very unpredictable.
I must say that it has a good future but that we also do not have to exsect huge prices if you are asking me.

I am not sure what the Bitcoin is going to be in July 2017 but I want it to be around $1000 because I have been waiting for this for some time now.
I want to sell some of my Bitcoin for this price but it has not happened yet.

but to me the price of bitcoin will be trading above 1400 USD in 2017, as we can see that in present time most of the people are expecting that the price of bitcoin will cross 1200$ in the end of 2016 so in next year in 2017 the price of bitcoin will increase some more and may be trading above 14 USD in 2017.

I dont think that the bitcoin is going to be much worth in the future you know lot of peple think that bitcoins are getting much worth but i dont think they will come far with the bitcoin.

I agree with the other  guy, bitcoin price would  not be like that on 2017 though as  we  can see on the  bitcoins price movement  but still we dont know on what would be the exact prize  of bitcoin on next year hence it really depends on the adoption of  people  which causes for bitcoin price to rise.

My guess is between 600 up to 800.  Bitcoin price right now is more or less 600 so maybe if ever there is an increase in its value it would not go higher than that.  But I want that I am wrong with my prediction.  I want the price of bitcoin to be higher than what I predicted.

At the rate things are going, we would be lucky to hit $800 by middle of 2017. We have been at the $500 to $600 levels for a while now and it doesn't seem to be changing very soon. And there are really no news or upcoming events worth looking forward to that might change the price. I am bit of a conservative speculator but I hope something comes up that affects the price before 2016 ends.

I would agree with Doms, expecting to see btc around $800. It is quite volatile to be sure, but bearing in mind increasing difficulty...

Its hard to say, I think that we just have to wait and see what its gonna bring us, I have a good feeling about the next year.
Most likely the bitcoin is gonna rise to a higher amount soon or later in 2017.

Considering the upcoming world war between Russia and USA, anything can happen. Many people will use bitcoin to hide their money which can increase prices dramatically but on the other hand, bitcoin also *will* get banned in some countries which can reduce the prices a lot. As long as they don't shut the internet down, bitcoin won't die anyway so i guess prices will be up, around 1k$ is my guess.

If I am not mistaken, it is banned only in Ecuador, Bolivia and Bangladesh. Yes, there are some difficulties in a number of countries, (greetings from Russia again ;)), but we are doing just fine here.

I dont know exactly what the bitcoin price will be in the year of 2017 because you wont know what the others will do with the bitcoin you know selling them or just holding i dont know wat the future will bring.

July 2017 is not so far away so not much time inbetween if we look at the prices now and how it behaves then I'd say we are lucky to hit the 7-800 at that time.
But ofcourse anything can happen and sometimes we just have random price swings so we will have to wait and see.

My guess or estimate would be that bitcoin will be worth about 2k in 2017. I believe this cause 2017 will be a very strong year compared to 2016 for the coin.
2016 was very weak and 2017 is the catchup year where we could essentially reach 5k by the end of 2017 I will be watching prices very closely.

I really hope that in 2017 the value of the Bitcoin can finally reach $1000, I thought that it was going to happen a long time ago but I guess that I was wrong.
I now believe that it has to happen with in the beginning of 2017.

It is my own personal opinion about price to be in July 2017 based on how I think it can reach at. It should be between $ 800-1000 because it has been long time since it is at current range. There are lot of voices in media claiming or predicting for price to be over $2000 but I always relay on my own logic to avoid disappointments.

I think the same as you the price is very stable and we need more demand for it to rise further up than it is now.
In july 2017 I think prices will have gone up maybe 100usd per coin so we would be swinging around 700 realisticly.
Or alot of unexpected stuff happens and it wil be 1k we will have to wait for time to tell.

As there is no special events over the falling year, I expect the price to experience gradual increase. This gradual increase will take the price close to $800 and keeps on growing if mass adoption takes place in respect to the time of the variation in price of bitcoin.

It has to be in the thousands because we have been waiting so long for it and every time that the price was rising it did not reach $1000.
The next time it is going to rise then it has to reach it otherwise I am somewhat done.

Lets hope on a good price, I think it will be around the 800 dollar because it has a good future but not so good as people are saying.
It will go to a middle price and the 800 dollar is just right for that.
