Please get rid of the tor stuff it only gets in the way of good staking. The latency is too much for a staking coin. Like speaking about yourself in the third person? lol Your repo might have that branch but it will not work along side the new code unless I add in the new changes made as the new wallet is a mandatory update which will Hardfork at block 800k. I will look into it. @Wdl1908 I built the 32bit wallet and I'm also getting the exact same issue. Works on first launch then the errors unless I delete onion and TOR folders I will continue to try my best to work the issue you out though. Let me know if you find a fix as well. When I questioned support about it, this was the response I got.
2016-07-19 14:35:42 C-CEX support Usually we disable staking. But sometimes when wallet hangs or require resync our staff restart it and forget to disable it. If you don't want your coins staked - just keep them in your wallet. http://imgur.com/a/EA1bK Staking gets disabled in the .conf, so no need to disable it when wallet restarts. Funny how none of the other exchanges have this issue........ I got my first ban, after three years, for mentioning c-cex staking their coins. Perma-banned for saying they went to the dark side. Not looking good, if you look at the what happened towards the end of Craptsy. Too many similarities, and too many scamcoins added each week, probably in house coins. Most that I am/was not capable of fixing. I am sure there is a dev who could fix those errors and keep the original code intact; however, I would recommend a new code base at a minimum, with or without the swap. However the wallet always worked great for me, even with all of those bugs inside. I have seem a lot of extremely buggy pieces of code, which actually somehow perform really well for many-many years inside the normal working conditions... Thats funny, but is a fact :). The only problem I have ever seen with the old wallet, is the big number of orphan stakes, but I believe this is not affecting the resulting staking reward one receives, as the actual coin age is preserved, and wallet soon stakes again... Are there other, more serious functionality issues?
Wallet could be a problem, but truly saying, I see another. much more important issue (as to me), which comes down not to coding, but to other values of the coin. Specifically - what is mission of the coin now? At the older days, it was a parody/jeer to PayCoin, and it did really well as such. Now, when PayCoin looks to be a thing of the past, some other idea should be the motto and the purpose of the coin. Something which could attract people/community the same way as opposition to PayCoin did before. Sure I may be wrong, as I didn't follow this coin regularly for the last year, and didn't read all the posts... but I believe this is the most important missing thing now. The current latest version worked very well, without a need for anything special. I just 1. Backed up the wallet.dat. 2. Removed the "Paycon" directory from "Roaming folder completely. 3. Closed the wallet, replaced the new empty wallet.dat with old backupped wallet.dat, then restarted the wallet It now works well, stakes few times per day when left open. There was a no-tor branch in the crestington repo which was for 32 bit and worked along side the tor Nice whoever incorporated this tor stuff just dumped a preconfigured source for 64 bit in there without even considering that some people would like to run it on w 32 bit system. Please get rid of the tor stuff it only gets in the way of good staking. The latency is too much for a staking coin. ... Even though I'm a market maker (providing liquidity) for CON on all exchanges, sometimes it's feels likes it's just me and the crickets. Most people that stake, doesn't correlate the importance for trading as well as staking. Without the "trade" staking has no monetary value unless it can derive that value elsewhere. C-cex is very lacking and unreliable as a trading platform. I've started in the last few months to build up volume in 64+ markets on cryptopia. Once more people start to use it, they'll have more sustainable trading activities over time. Initially it was like pulling teeth in the beginning, but it's getting better as they upgrade their systems and more traders come in. I'm making them my primary market making exchange. If you remember how well trading activities was on cryptsy was for alts (minus the shenanigan BS) I think we can see the same activities again via Cryptopia. So I'm directing most of my market making activities there to help attract more liquidity and traders.
