This is my first faucet site, so I'll be gauging its profitability for a few days/weeks.

If the site is making some decent money, I'll create some other very similar sites with near identical payouts (100 - 50,0000 Satoshi), so please support LeakyBitcoins.com (http://LeakyBitcoins.com) by visiting it regularly to collect your rewards!

Be prepared to be banned by Google. I really advise you not putting their ads on the faucet page-- if you haven't a separate page for your faucet from the index, I really suggest doing so.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll research more about AdSense and faucet compatibility, but can you provide more insight as to why I would get banned? The only thing I can think of are the little "visit our sponsors" messages I have up. I'll probably take those down just in case.

Your title say "Huge Rewards" but I see 90% chance to win only 100 satoshi and 6% to win 200 satoshi and today users consider that low reward.Chance to win 1k-50k satoshi are too small and 5% for referral is to low to anybody promote your faucet.

You use FucetBOX script which is vulnerable and completely non-resistant to bots and I not see any anti-bot protection.Generally speaking your faucet currently does not have bright future if something does not change.

I appreciate the criticism. This is my first faucet, so I'm still feeling it out.

I guess the main perk of my site is the "chance" to win up to 50k sats. I've visited other faucets where they just pay 100 sats every 5 minutes, and to me that's kind of boring. Others pay a guaranteed 500-1000 sats every 60 minutes, but even that's a bit boring.

I want LeakyBitcoins to at least be a little exciting, so I chose to go with the gambling aspect where you can win a decent amount if you're lucky.

As for the referral fee, I started out low just to see how it does. What kind of % do you suggest? 10%?

Now, I don't have much experience with FaucetBOX, but I chose to use it since I'm a beginner with MySQL and wanted something user-friendly. I've enabled all of the safety features available, so hopefully I won't have too many issues with bots. Considering I only have a little over 1 million sats in the balance right now, I'll just have to see how it does.

Do you have any suggestions on what I can do differently to make it safer?

Rewards is not bad. But you are in risk, because you using Adsense in faucet, which is against their rules. Soon you may be banned, especially when you asking to click ads. There almost no faucets left which have adsense, legendary freebitco.in faucet also was banned by Google.

Thank you for testing it. Since there seems to be a consensus on Google banning me, I'll go ahead and take those ads down for now, although I do see Google ads up on other faucets (such as bitcoinaliens.com). Do they know something we don't?

For the captcha, SolveMedia was appealing because it was easy to set up a revenue account. I can see how it doesn't seem like the most secure (mostly simple worded answers), so perhaps I should consider changing that.

The only captcha options for Faucet in a BOX are SolveMedia, reCaptcha, FunCaptcha and Are You A Human. I signed up for reCaptcha, but it doesn't look like you can monetize with it. FunCaptcha rejected my request for revenue-based ads, so I may have to try applying again. I haven't looked into Are You A Human yet, but I probably should.

I went ahead and removed AdSense and bumped the referral commission up to 10%. I'll look into adding some other types of ads later today after I get some sleep ;)

I also plan on making Facebook & Twitter pages for the site, so be on the lookout for that.

I joined you faucet, but I have mostly hourly faucets, never mind though going to the site every one hour is ok  by me.

I removed http://freebitcoinbuilder.com/ which has a pop up that I cannot close, your site takes preference over pop ups.

BTW Adsense pays monthly at least it was worth leaving them on, or better still talk to adsense  when you have some non bitcoin news on a sub page, but make subpage open up first.

I know a faucet owner who talked to ad sense, and walked them through what users had to do.
They approved him after removing him.

Great to hear! I went ahead and removed AdSense altogether, but I may consider contacting them directly to see what options I have. I don't want to risk getting my account banned, since I've had it for 3+ years. I suppose I can create a brand new one and chance it, but I'm not sure if they ban by individual accounts, names or IP addresses.

So, I put up some alternative ads for now. The Yobit.net & Crypto-Games.net ads are basically referral links from my personal accounts. Registering with them would be awesome and help me keep the faucet running strong. The others are from Anonymous Ad, so we'll see how those work out. I've got a bunch of other advertising sites lined up to investigate, but I don't want to add too much clutter.

Also, I changed the SolveMedia captcha difficulty from just "Revenue" to level 1. You guys might have to refresh it a few times to get a readable one, so please let me know how it goes. But hey, even if it's a little more difficult, it's only once every 30 minutes and you have a chance of winning up to 50,0000 sats :o

I plan on keeping a somewhat low balance in the faucet to avoid any heavy losses to bots; probably around 1 million sat max. I'll be monitoring everything for suspicious activity and will continue to do research on anti-bot countermeasures.

Also, in agreement with what others have already said, your faucet IS susceptible to bots currently (bots now just send captchas to their respective service or pull them for manual fill, still with 0 chance of ad clicks). Have you seen other simple faucet sites with "Click the anti-bot buttons in this order" with the little bright number or words or whatever? I don't know how to get them but they seem to be a theme of FaucetBOX faucets in particular. This one simple addition is enough to protect you, so look into it!

I'm still researching on how to add some quality anti-bot protection to LeakyBitcoins. I've been monitoring transactions somewhat closely and nothing looks too out of place so far, but I do understand how important it is to put up a fight against the bots.

I've definitely seen that "click these buttons/pictures in order" feature on other faucets, so I'll probably try to incorporate it somehow.

I also wanted to quickly mention one thing: The traffic on LeakyBitcoins seems like it's increasing exponentially. I'm obviously still determining its profitability, but if users keep helping me out by visiting the site regularly, clicking ads, using my referral links to other sites that I personally use (like Yobit and Crypto-Games), I'll create quite a few of these faucets, all with similar payouts! Nice! It looks like the site is up to 433 unique users. Highest reward paid so far has been 750 sats. Total paid as of this posting is 62400 sats.

I do see rewards being collected every few minutes, so hopefully they're by organic users and not bots. I'll be working more on anti-bot protection tonight.

I don't particularly think there's any shame in self-bumping as long as you keep one consistent thread and don't clog the forum (I'm going to keep doing it until someone tell me not to haha) Anyway cool contest, will be participating!

100 satoshis with 90% chance to earn isn't a good reward. If you increase the chance to earn 250, 500 and 750 satoshis it would be better for us. Another prizes like 1000, 5000, 10000, 50000 satoshis are almost impossible to get, and I understand it, because you can't support those very high prizes.

Whew, it was a chore editing that post.. lol. I fixed a couple of mistakes too, so the contest should be good to go!

I totally understand what you're saying. I will most likely be adjusting these numbers in the near future (edit: JUST DID!), but the main "selling point" of my site is the chance to win a large amount of satoshi. So, I compare it more to gambling than just the usual faucet.

I'm already seeing a large amount of unique visitors (almost 15,000 now) in only 5 days, so I want to keep the payouts the same for now.

Hey there, just a quick update and shameless self-bump:

I moved a lot of my referral type ads to another web page to clean up the main one a bit. You'll see a new "Faucets & More - Click Here!" link in the upper left corner which will take you to that page (partners.leakybitcoins.com (http://partners.leakybitcoins.com)). Check it out because a lot of the sites I link are personal favorites of mine ;). I am still tweaking it a bit, so there will probably be more changes.

We're inching closer and closer to that top 1,000,000 Alexa rank! A big thanks to all of my reward collectors!

Also, ad revenue is going pretty darn good, so thanks again for the support! I am very close to developing another site, which will be almost identical to LeakyBitcoins; possibly with even MORE rewards! Stay tuned!

Very nice contest,with much bigger prizes than it was the first.It will be interesting to compete and try to win a prize.

I just try to claim on your faucet and those anti-bot links are too heavy for solving,at least for me.I understand the need for protection from bots,but in this case faucet is protected even from legitimate users.Perhaps it would be wise to make these anti-bot a little easier.

I'm pretty sure some users have hit the big one multiple times. Getting 100k sat has a 0.01% chance, so 10,000:1 odds? As of today, total payouts are at 107210, so statistically 10 people or so should have hit the 100k reward.

Just a quick announcement:

I'll be changing both the reward payout amounts / percentages & referral bonus after the current contest ends. I was thinking about doing it now, but I'm going to hold off.

My plan is to bump up the minimum reward to at least 225 satoshi every 30 minutes. Other reward percentages will probably change as well (in a good way). The referral commission bonus will probably be set to 20-25%.

So, this is good news right? If you have any ideas, let me know.

Also, remember I need to balance the site's reward payouts with ad revenue; i.e. I want to give my visitors some really kick @ss rewards, but need to make revenue as well. I won't spell it out, but I'm sure you guys know how to help with that ;)

Unfortunately, the site is optimized for desktop browsers. I need to do a lot more research on how to get it integrated for mobile. I know it looks like a mess right now; at least it does on my Android LG Intuition. The FaucetBOX script functionality seems to work fine, though, and I was able to successfully claim rewards a few times. Can you give me your exact phone model, Android OS version and browser so maybe I can find a simulation to test the site on?

This is my first time developing anything in cPanel, so it's a bit slow going. I apologize for any inconveniences that come up, but I'm working on it :)

Now I can't claim from faucet. I'm getting "could not open socket" message after claim.

I'm also having difficulty, but for me it's that the captcha is simply not appearing at all, or appears blank (and cannot cycle it).

Are you still having this problem? I've tested it recently and it worked on my end. There are two captchas you can choose from, SolveMedia and reCaptcha:

It's kind of a pain switching between the two because it refreshes the page. If people are still having problems with SolveMedia, I'll make reCaptcha the default. The only reason I want to keep SolveMedia as the main one is because I'm making (a little) revenue off of it.

1) More BTC Faucets - So far we have two official LeakyBitcoins faucets (leakybitcoins.com (http://leakybitcoins.com) & leakybitcoins2.com (http://leakybitcoins2.com)). August 17th will mark the one month anniversary of LBC, so to celebrate, I will be creating two additional faucet sites: The next one will be called LeakyBitcoins3 and will offer the same rewards as the previous two sites. Then, another site will be created (name is yet to be determined) and it will offer a SIGNIFICANT increase in rewards and referral commissions!

2) Altcoin Faucets - Litecoin, Dogecoin and other popular altcoins will eventually be added to the franchise.

3) More Rewards - Reward amounts and percentages, as well as referral commission percentages, will be changing in the near future. This change will be VERY GOOD for those who continue to collect rewards on both sites.

4) More Contests - We'll be holding additional contests to celebrate important milestones (such as Alexa rankings). Other random contests will be held just for fun! All of this will be done here on the Bitcointalk forum.

5) Possible Signature Campaign - Participate in a LBC signature campaign here on the forum and get rewarded weekly. NOTE: This is still in the works and has not officially started yet. It may or may not happen.

6) Invest in LeakyBitcoins - A fully transparent investment program may be implemented in the future. The idea will be that you, as an investor, will send a certain amount of BTC to a designated wallet. After seven days, you will receive your full investment back plus a portion of the ad revenue that was generated during that time. NOTE: This is still in the works and has not officially started yet. It may or may not happen.

I've finished adding up everyone's rewards. It was not an easy task, so what I'm going to do is leave a small window of time for people to challenge the results before I disburse the winnings (so that I can go back and double check them if needed).

1. If you get banned, it's your entire account. I hear Google doesn't care for faucets much, but I've seen plenty of them using AdSense (for quite some time, now). Just make sure yours looks unique, has good content (1000+ words?), isn't cluttered, no pornography, etc. Also, do your best to protect it against bots and other bad traffic. That's the only thing I'm worried about right now; waiting for the end-of-the-month report to see if I have any "invalid traffic." Their policies can be a bit ambiguous at times, but make sure you comb over the following article:

2. I don't think you can create another account under the same name (or IP?). Perhaps you can get a family member or friend to help out if this happens, although the original site where the policy violation occurred can probably never use it again. Maybe even any sites associated with the old account... not totally sure.

For me there is no problem with referral payments from LeakyBitcoins2,works from day 1 without problems.Check your referral link,maybe you missed some letter or number and then for sure it not work.I just check and this is last two referral payments from Leaky2.

Hey all, I have some big news for both faucets. I've gone ahead and made some significant changes to both the reward payouts and referral commission amounts.

And the referral commission has been increased to 20% (from 15%)! Don't forget to share your links!

Now, you'll notice the reward payout percentages I've listed here may differ from what you see on the actual sites. This seems to be a bug within the FaucetBOX script - the screenshot I posted above was taken directly from my Admin page, so those are the TRUE numbers :)

Also, you may notice the minimum payout has increased quite a bit. This means you can win a MINIMUM of 450 sats per hour per faucet, with a chance of getting higher amounts! So, if you regularly visit EACH faucet (leakybitcoins.com (http://leakybitcoins.com) & leakybitcoins2.com (http://leakybitcoins2.com)), you can win a minimum of 900 sats every hour!

Excellent news for both faucets,225 satoshi min reward is very high for 30 min claim and as you say it is 900 satoshi every hour.Also very nice increase in referral commission.It only means that the users will even more use and promote your faucets :)

Regarding reward payout percentages,this is know bug from FaucetBOX and many users complaint about these issue/admin panel show one data and faucet show slightly different.

Cool, thanks Lucius. Now it's just a matter of monitoring my revenue flow from ads, etc and seeing how many rewards are being paid out. I've noticed the more traffic I get, the harder it is to balance the two, but I hope the increased rewards will "pay off" in the long run.

When it comes to the payout percentages, I kinda figured something was going on. It just sucks because the people who use LeakyBitcoins, and don't check this thread, think the minimum payout percentage is higher than it is (even though not by a lot).

I made few claims today and everything is working without a hitch.It is nice to see that any problem is solved very quickly and there is always notification on both faucets so users know what's going on.

I was a little worried about the problem earlier because it was an intermittent issue. I finally discovered it was being caused by some javascript I installed on both faucets. Just hope nothing similar happens again because I was a bit puzzled at first :(

When doing some changes there is always the possibility that something will not work properly afterwards so this is risk you must take.I see you always trying to improve your faucets,and with work there are always some small problems.

Today I get 500 satoshi two times,on your faucet is easier to get 500 satoshi then on some that pay such reward, but they are usually without funds most of the day.

I've been monitoring the total reward payouts for the past couple of days and, as expected, they have increased dramatically. Unfortunately, ad revenue has not kept up.

So, what I am going to do is keep the reward amounts the same, but increase the collect time to 60 minutes. This will be happening either today or tomorrow, so continue to collect your rewards every 30 minutes while it lasts!

I understand this is a somewhat drastic change, but since I am putting my own personal cash into feeding the faucets, it is necessary for me at this point.

Your move is entirely justified,if profits can not keep track with payments something must be done.But still the rewards are very good and 60 min for claim is not bad.I hope ad revenue will improve in future,but people just not like to click ads too much.

Regarding ads I try to click on Mellow Ads and Firefox give me this message on your faucets and in many others.I do not know if this is linked with the individual ads or it is some error in browser or with Mellow.

As for the Mellow Ads error, I did a quick search on it and it seems to only happen on Firefox when there's a SSL issue, server-side. I'm guessing maybe Mellow Ads itself has a SSL problem (expired certificate?).

I don't use SSL on either faucet, and since you're experiencing the same thing elsewhere, it seems to be centralized to MA. Also, I asked a friend to test while using another browser and it seemed to go through okay.

The good news is there are "other" ads up on each site :D

99% of mellow ads are blocked by two apps on my computer, I does this itself with no interaction from me.
I use Malwarebytes  and Eset smart security, I have tried clicking for faucet owners all to no avail, and sometimes mellow promotes its own adverts, by hovering over the advert I can see this ref=mellow

As for any with Ad-sense  thats a no for me, as I have ad-sense my self, and could quickly get banned for clicking on others adverts.
They would give me warning first I think, I had a faucet link with a naughty coin picture on the java link, they suspended my adsense  until I removed it.
Back to normal now.

As for the change on your faucets to one hour, I did say back at the start of your thread I shall put you in my hourly faucet list, so in reality it does not effect me at all, I much prefer those who do hourly rewards, and your websites have great rewards, especially for the time.

I have AdSense and for months I click on their ads on faucets without any problem or warning.I know it is forbidden to click on your advertisements which is quite logical but first time to hear for what you say.

I've been clicking on AdSense links while visiting other faucets to help support them. Since that ad code is directly tied to their accounts, I don't think it would jeopardize my own, right?

But I can see how one would want to be extra careful; Google seems a bit temperamental when it comes to their ad network.

Not so sure, I used to do it, till a member here, pmd me and told me not to multiple click at the same website, as google has ips for those that are clicked on.

So I did stop helping out, which is a real shame, and to top it off, those websites and others got banned for invalid clicks.
Was I ever counted as invalid, maybe but you never know, some others asked for clicks, they too have gone, one in particular blackmailed users to click or no payment will be made, he never paid out near the end... he was puddled in the head for asking such things.

Wow, that's just crazy. So, Google does keep track of IPs and they hold publishers "responsible for all traffic."

If someone comes along, likes your site and wants to support it by clicking and visiting ads regularly, in theory there's a chance Google will ban you for invalid multiple clicks from the same IP even though it's totally out of your control as a site admin.

It all just seems bitter-sweet: you want people to visit your ads (through organic means, of course), but at the same time you don't really want someone sitting there clicking a ton of times without having any interest in viewing the ad content due to the chance your account might get banned for "invalid traffic." So as an extra layer of defense, one might be forced to blacklist the IPs who have been SUPPORTING your website! <-- I don't think I could ever do that, tbh.

I vote for Medium but after you solve that anti-bot links few time they actually become very easy.I have problem with your anti-bot links few weeks ago with some strange 0XOO XOXO combination but I do not see that any more.

For people who are not native english speakers there may be a problem to to connect two opposite words like up/down left/right or something like that.But this is more a problem of language then difficulty of the anti-bot links.You must protect your faucets the best possible way.

I've seen other faucets makes some really creative anti-bot puzzles, which even people who don't speak English too well might have an easier time solving. Seeing how most of my traffic is from Europe, I have to really take that into consideration, but I'm not sure how popular English is around the world nowadays ??? ???

Thanks for jumping in here, Lucius. Yes, the numbers listed on the site don't add up. Another member also pointed this out on the thread a few pages ago (and I believe he uses FaucetBOX as well, so I'm surprised he didn't know).

I guess there's no real way for me to prove to you or anyone else that these percentages are bugged, other than providing screenshots and trying to explain it. I'm sure somewhere in the official FaucetBOX thread there's an answer from the creator, but I don't have the time right now to look.

Also, winning 225 consistently without any higher rewards is just a bad run I suppose since the payouts are purely based on RNG. Winning 100k (10,000:1 odds) will be difficult, but it's still a possibility and has happened many times before considering I'm at almost 600,000 payouts for this past month alone.

I'm about to look at the stats again right now, but yes, I saw quite a few 250 & 500 sat payouts yesterday when I checked. I think this is a fair trade-off for now until I can get things under control a bit.

I guess the key with my sites is to not focus too much on the minimum reward, as there are currently six other possible BIGGER rewards to get!

It's a bit like gambling and I honestly based it off of freebitco.in's faucet model; just on a smaller scale :)

Hey mate, just a simple advice, in the past 6 months almost all major faucets have been banned by adsense. You have been promoting your faucet really hard, nothing scammy about referral payouts, most of the faucets do, have earned a considerable amount of referral earnings from both of your faucets. The rewards have been lowered, but still good and in my opinion you can maintain the current reward without adsense, but with marginal profit. You are using the faucet on the main page, adsense is catching up, either use adsense with subpage, but still risky. Why kill the goose that lays golden eggs?

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I've been keeping up with the AdSense-banning-faucets news and it sucks. Honestly, I think it's just a matter of time for mine, but it seems like the recent faucets that have been banned hold <100k Alexa rankings and are far more popular. I'd consider putting the actual faucet on a subpage, but it would really take a lot of work to move stuff around and I'm not sure if I have the time for that right now.

On a similar note, I relocated the AdSense ads to the actual faucet area itself to hopefully generate some more (organic) interest :) But honestly, I just don't know. I got my first real month's report in yesterday and it wasn't entirely good. There was a significant amount of invalid traffic. I've incorporated a number of anti-bot / vpn / proxy scripts, have added malicious IPs and BTC addresses to a blacklist, etc etc. Google literally provides zero detailed feedback on where the invalid traffic is from, so as an admin, it's very difficult to determine what's causing it.

People who support the faucets and visit ads regularly (because they're interested in them) are AWESOME, but I guess that aspect can be abused by continuously doing it over and over from the same IP. I'm not sure what the cutoff is to Google; maybe one unique IP visit/click per day? It seems like it's all speculation right now since Google provides really ambiguous guidelines.

The minimum reward seems to be working out well right now. I was up to paying $40 per day out of my pocket because it reached over 0.07 BTC in reward payouts. I'm not a rich person at all, lol, and I made these sites because I really support cryptocurrency and wanted to start on a project that would benefit not only myself, but others as well. I have to stay realistic about stuff, especially when it comes to finances. I know it will piss off a lot of users, but then again there's that chance at getting a much higher reward payout. Like I said previously, the 250, 500 and even 1000 sat rewards are paid regularly according to my stats; you just have to keep trying for them (and cross your fingers). The 50k, 75k & 100k rewards also get picked up by very lucky users.

At the time when reward payouts peaked, revenue just wasn't keeping up. Plus, most of it was from AdSense and I'm pretty much at their mercy on whether they will pay out or not. It's hard to find a comparable ad network that pays similar rates; I know there are faucets that exist without them, but they seem to incorporate other stuff as well, like dice gambling, etc. Honestly, I'm not the most technical person in the world, so I wouldn't even know where to start with doing that. Also, it seems like the house would need a decent cash pot to survive any big winnings, and I don't really have that at the moment.

Well, I apologize for the rant, but I appreciate all and any advice. So far it's been really fun engaging the community and developing the sites. The roadmap I provided before is still on the table, but may need to be adjusted a bit. I may also have some other plans, but am not sure yet. I'll be updating this thread as usual :)

I think that's enough 100 Satoshi. The most important thing is that the faucet is not drained because people get used several times a day to visit list. Eg. on the list with 100 Faucet who pay, can earn a day to 30,000. Of course when it asked users is never enough a high reward.

In past few days I won 250 satoshi several times and once claimed 500 satoshi, thanks for it. I'm also using few faucets through your referral links to support your faucet.

I voted for 125 satoshi,but I think the difference is very small between 100 and 125 satoshi.People usually see the minimum reward and for most 100 satoshi per 60 min is too low.But lot of users claim even fewer rewards and I see always a large number of users on your faucets.

It is logical that the reward must adjust to income,otherwise we know how the story ends.If you get a chance you will surely increase the rewards.

To my users: I'm going to be experimenting with some new ads to see if I can increase revenue outside of AdSense. These might include pop-up / pop-under ads, which I really wanted to avoid doing, but might be necessary depending on the amount of income they bring in (mostly to support the faucet reward payouts).

If they end up looking too sketchy, I might backtrack and try something else. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up :)

One pop-up or pop-under for me personally was never a problem on faucets.Users do not like it but I think we can all survive one or two pop-under if this means that faucets continue to work.

Now, on to the recent changes:

1) Reward payouts have been adjusted. Here are the updated numbers:

You've probably noticed I've raised the minimum payout to 125 satoshi, and the maximum to 250,000 satoshi! Other rewards and percentages have been adjusted as well.

This change may be temporary depending on how much revenue is coming in / reward payouts going out. I'll keep you guys up-to-date on any other changes related to this.

2) On Sunday, 9/11/2016, a 2-day referral commission promotion will begin! This promotion will end on Tuesday 9/13/2016.

During this time, referral commissions will be increased to 45%, so be sure to share your referral links with family, friends or post them on your websites to earn some good passive income.

To give a couple examples on how much you can earn with just one referral, everytime he/she makes a claim and wins 125 satoshi, you will get 56.25 satoshi. If they win 500 satoshi, you'll get a whopping 225 satoshi and so on! The more active referrals you have, the more BTC you'll make! Remember, this promo will only last for two days and then it will go back to 20%, so take advantage of it while you can!

3) A new contest is in the works, so stay tuned! This contest will be a bit different than the last two.

4) I've removed a few ads and switched others around; particularly in the faucet collection area. It should look a bit cleaner now.

On a similar note, pop-under ads will remain for the moment. I know these types of ads drive away some users, but depending on the revenue they produce, they may be necessary at this time. Hopefully the increased rewards will be incentive enough for users to put up with them :) Feel free to voice your opinion on the matter and please check out the new poll I added.

Hey folks, I have some bad news unfortunately.

I just received a couple of messages from Google, so I am now in the process of making some changes:

     - Pop-under ads will be re-enabled indefinitely since they provide a decent source of revenue

     - Additional ad networks will be considered to help keep the faucet alive

     - Reward payout amounts and percentages will be changing again (sorry!), but the maximum 250,000 satoshi prize will remain in effect.

The last part in particular is very important as I need to basically re-assess everything.

Thanks to those of you who have supported my faucets since I started back in July. Here's to hoping everything will work out in the end :)

That said, I recommend everyone on here to check out gameofbitcoins.com (http://gameofbitcoins.com) if you need a really high quality faucet list / rotator. I actually use it myself quite a bit.

So, all of this is pretty unfortunate. Personally, I'm not very happy with the way things are on my faucets right now:

1) They're cluttered with ads and I'm forced to use pop-unders that are sometimes a bit risque and sketchy (but the ad network guarantees absolutely no malware). I've seen them myself: The Windows alerts w/sounds, borderline porn sites, etc. They're annoying as hell, but are actually allowing me to keep the faucets up and running until I can find some alternatives.

2) The minimum reward payouts aren't the greatest, but they aren't the worst either. Also, there's always that "slim" chance of hitting the big ones (50k, 100k, 250k).

3) My future plans for LeakyBitcoins are uncertain at this point. I really wanted to accomplish everything I listed before in the roadmap ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1557819.msg15905601#msg15905601 ), but it will be difficult now that AdSense went away. Sucks..

Anyways, I really need to keep a close eye on things right now. I have yet to collect any actual net profit (mostly waiting on Google & Solve Media to release it) and have so far invested a whopping 1.40288517 BTC + hosting costs out of my pocket in this little venture. I'm not a rich person by any means, but I was willing to take the risk ;)

On a more positive note, I'm going to be hosting the contest I talked about very soon. Hopefully we can get more people on the forum to chime in with their entries, comments, advice... anything really :P

It's not a big surprice that your Adsense account was disabled, I saw many faucets was banned these days. But I hope you will find ways how to keep faucet alive. Not being harsh here, I did not mind the pop unders till this happened.

I totally understand. I saw the same exact popup and reported it to the ad network. By the time they responded, the website had gone offline, but it seems like these particular sites come back with new domains.

After seeing it, I ran a full virus/malware/spyware scan with no results. Those types of sites are just phishing attempts unfortunately and I guess they sneak by the ad network's approval process somehow.

Like I said before, I don't like using ANY popups, but this particular network ( propellerads.com (http://propellerads.com) ) has a pretty high CPM payout rate and is basically keeping me operating. Until I can find some alternative sources, I have no choice but to either keep the popups, sticky banner and other ads in place or completely shut everything down.

But again, I completely understand your decision and apologize for the annoyance & inconvenience :(

Unfortunately these days situation with faucets are pretty bad,many are without funds and others decrease their rewards.I have not seen such a decline for quite some time.We can only hope that it will be better in the future.

Personally I have never had a problem with such things on faucets.If you have adequate protection it should stop any attempt to infect your computer.Good antivirus+firewall and Malwarebytes Premium in my case doing a great job for now.

I think there's some magical formula to make faucets profitable without big ad networks (like AdSense), but you have to be creative and somewhat think outside the box. The big ones are still around (moonbit.co.in, freebitco.in, etc), so they must be doing something right. I think some people really dig dice and other games, but I just don't have the time (or skills) to implement them at the moment.

Sorry to hear about your warning. It looks like even lists and rotators aren't safe anymore. I hope you'll at least get paid from them; my account got disabled six days after the warnings and they kept the balance. I filed a BBB complaint and basically accused them of theft, but I doubt that will do anything. At least it made me feel a little better.

All the folks who warned about using AdSense were definitely right. But in the end, I'm not letting it keep me down. Even if the sites don't sell, I'll keep them running as long as I'm making even a little profit and covering costs. I'll even raise the minimum rewards again if I can.

We'll see what the future brings ;)

Hmm, maybe you're referring to the crappy pop-unders? The best way to deal with them is to first click in the black area to trigger them, then click anywhere else. They will only show up once per visit.

It is quite difficult to claim that 1000 satoshi reward which I miss since chance to claim that reward is only 0.01%.But in in the previous contest I claim 1000 satoshi two times just can not remember if the chances were the same as today or greater?

As far as the contest is concerned, yes definitely don't discount the other options! I know most people are focusing on option #3 because it seems like the easiest, but getting 125, 250 or 500 sat claims can add up over the course of time. This contest is meant to last for a while... and I guess it has so far.

I see you change minimum reward to 75 satoshi so that I can assume that it is not the best situation,and in general situation is also not good.Most faucets last only few days or 2-3 week most.

I'm gonna be honest with you and everyone else: the situation with LeakyBitcoins isn't that great right now. I'm trying out different advertisement networks, but am still having a hard time making a profit that's worthwhile.

Unless I can figure something out that makes a substantial difference, I might be shutting down the whole operation soon :(

I just tested both sites and it looks like they're working fine (in Chrome, at least).

Can you give me more details on what your issue is?

I did not notice any problems with the faucets,only that new way of advertising is a little not-user friendly.Pop under you have before is much better,now when you click anywhere new tab is open and faucet is gets loaded again.

Thanks again for playing. I'm not sure about another contest so soon, but I'm thinking about some other promotional stuff.

One idea I had was to increase the percentages of the bigger rewards (50k, 100k, 250k) for maybe a few hours one day. They're all set at 0.01% right now, but maybe I'll bump them up to 3%, 2% & 1% respectively. We'll see ;)

I wouldn't recommend it, because 1-3% is to high % for bigger rewards and you will lose more money with this than with contest. It wont bring you more users, maybe more bots. Bigger referral commission won't bring you more users either. I think another contest would be good idea, maybe harder one, and if you decide to do another make sure you write topic in "games and round" in gambling section to attract more people!
