Title: What other crypto currency should MtGox support ? Post by: pennyfx on March 22, 2013, 09:00:30 PM If MtGox supported one other crypto currency we could move money between exchanges easier and increase Bitcoin liquidity. Which currency should they choose?
My vote is for FRC. FRC is not a reserve crypto currency and is not subject to hoarding because your coins degrade over time. This means you can use FRC for the transfer, but then you are incentivized to buy another type of coin. BTC, LTC, etc. Title: Re: What other crypto currency should MtGox support ? Single crypto coin exchanges will become less popular than multi coin exchanges.

Actually, Litecoin et al don't even have to be perceived as competition: they can complement Bitcoin analogous to the way (excuse the cliché) that silver complements gold. I don't think they have to surpass BTC, but at least become a contender. I think adding another CryptoCurrency would add legitimacy to BTC if nothing else (assuming LTC or whatever are fairly legit).
