Title: Shit Tier Capital
Post by: BitcoinNational on July 31, 2016, 08:00:35 AM
Shit Tier it needs to be a thing  8)

inspired by:
Shit Tier
Scams, broken nonsense, and blockchains which bend to the whims of whales.  Stay away at all costs.

  • Dash: Ninja/Instamined garbage which uses a 'Masternode' pyramid scheme to incentivize protocol-level coin-mixing.  Unfortunately is highly vulnerable to Sybil attacks along with other potential attack vectors.
  • VCash: The lead Dev has stolen code, radically fucked with the block rewards in early mining to his own benefit, and still hasn't produced an open source and verifiable proof of his miraculous claims.  Stay away.
  • Ethereum Hardfork:  Programmable blockchain which will fork when necessary to protect the financial interests of whales and large holders, including bailing them out from bad code.  Essentially a centrally controlled cloud server to practice code on, but that doesn't mean the tokens should hold monetary value.
  • Ripple: A premined and centrally controlled token by Google which has no value proposition whatsoever since its centrally controlled, and no fundamentally different than fiat held by a bank.

We are not premined, we took Europecoin from the dirt after its crrash and rebooted it and worked hard.
I don't feel it is fair to blame us for the wrong doing of our successor.
Every team member has bought or mined his coins in the same way as any user did.
Please do some reading and research,
i don't feel to belong here. (or misunderstood your list, quite possible)

Matthias,
You are free to defend your position.

But lets be honest ... $3M overnight raises some flags ... time will tell ... prove me wrong ... there is no ill will intended ... just caution suggested.

PS ... I endorse the 'fbi' as a valid cause ... but neither endorse any one particular coin ... buyers/investors do your own due diligence.

Thats an argument, i can understand.
I already wrote to Coinmarketcap, they didn't change the total amount of coins, if you divide this by 10, (because there are 9 million coins in existence, not 90 million),
THIS is our real marketcap and i can be happy about the growth so far.
The cap "just" doubled, at the release of the new wallet (test it and you will know why). The displayed marketcap is wrong by a factor of 10,
but thats not our fault, the doubbling is correc,  increase of a factor of 2 is real, thats why it is still keeping up.

I am happy, you are discussing with me, most of those, i talked to, didn't do that.
I don't mind different standpoints, Coins are revolutions, not religions.
You can say anything you think, i will always be happy to answer, discussion is always a good thing..

Thank you for wrapping your mind around fbi to, i am currently building up my company, witch will fund the project,
to get this going. Developers are working to often for free, we should treat them much better, if we like to get things moving.
They have to pay their bills too. We are planning to start hiring in about three weeks (maybe sooner), its just some paperworks,
witch we are doing at the moment, money has already been reserved.

May our discussion raise some awareness. If you keep an eye on us, we are fine, with having to build up trust over time.
We love success but we are not dependent on quick results, nor do we try to get them, in any way, that would distract markets.
We prefer, to work with numbers, that are somehow predictable, there is gambling more than enough involved in this show

nice you answered
have fun
Matthias  ;)

I say it hinges on your definition of "scam"
Most users in the Altcoin world refuse to discuss this though.
They won't put it out there in the fear they will be called out a hypocrite later.
Problem is many of the "usual suspects" here get trapped by accident (supporting shit coins)

First couple that came to mind for me were Steem + Ethereum
I also would say the fact they are an ICO is far more than enough to deem them "scammy"

I consider scam and scammy to be a little different.
A scam is more of a confirmed thing and scammy is harder to pin down (lacks concrete proof etc)

So take those two examples i just mentioned.
When we dig deeper on both ICO coins we see more red-flags.

For starters they were both NOT designed to be a "Currency"
But rather a scheme with a digital block-chain token tacked onto them.
One is "Blogging" and the other is "App's"

So you have to ask yourselves people were some coders and friends watching all this and thinking
hmm i need an idea / gimmick for a "coin" ?
Who wants to bet they were not brain storming idea frantically for a long LONG time ?
They NEEDED to come up with a scheme to tack a coin on.
Which in both cases simply ended up as always traded on Poloniex for PROFITS.
Coincidence ?

Nope.
How would you know ?
You look at their behavior early on.
And their coins design.
Steem was rigged from day one.. an unfair game that made the early adopters rich.
Ethereum was caught doing the same thing on ICO launch day on 2014 also !
And think about it people ..this does NOT happen by accident.
Nor is it likely these guys have made ONE coin.
These guys know damn well they have to launch a coin with a personal advantage to make them rich.

Unlike many of you who got here late..
I have been here every day watching the so called "Dev's" evolve their methods of getting a launch advantage.
There always seems to be a hidden secretive grey area where there is suspected guys in the shadows.
Take Max Coin for example..
It was speculated a lot the dev's / friends etc had a GPU miner.

Or think about BlockNET and his million dollar cash grab.
Or URO (the piss coin)

It seems to me the entire scene is willing to forgo "defining" what a "scam" is..
in order to profit some chump change while the leaders get filthy rich from it.

Ethereum's "Butters' managed to get himself many MILLIONS of dollars in Coins.
And no one really said fuck all when he publicly admitted to dumping a quarter of his "holdings"
Nor did that affect the price at all.. no one cared !
No one cared to ask *WHY* the guy had Millions on coins !

No one cared about the ultra hype and spam and blatant pump activity by a mysterious unknown group.
Who was buying ETH ICO coins in 100 BTC blocks non stop in 2014
I don't suppose it was the same guys pumping it in early 2016 huh ?
With Coindesk's close cooperation all along since 2014 LOL
..Butters was not the only one with SHIT LOADS of coins to dump.

Do we even NEED to dig deeper ?
Was this idea / gimmick a good idea ? "Smart Contracts"
Oh yeah ? who is using them ?
Nobody.
Was the DAO an inside job for more profits ?

Apparently it just doesn't matter or ETH would not be the no.1 coin hitting over $20 each.
You all knew what i said above and still made them 20 bucks a coin !
This tells all criminals and their dev friends around the world they are untouchable and can get away with anything.
They know they can rip you off and lie and cheat and steal and fuck with you all blatantly.
..then simply ignore the "FUD"
Just so long as you all can line up to get your tiny slice of the pie.

All users hang out here chanting Free market and defending GREED.
Then they have the nerve to say they support Blogging or APP's or Smart Contracts.
Which is a lie !
They support GREED as they said in a previous comment LOL

When the motivation of 98% of the users in crypto is profits then what do we see ?
A lawless Free (for all) Market scammy coin scene.
Pretend to be a support for profit and cry FUD for bucks $$$

What changes ?
almost a year ago now i counted 6,000+ ANN topics here.
Nothing changes.

What will be popular next ?
Who knows but it's not what the idiots say they are supporting.. it will be the next heap of scammy ICO bullshit for profit.
Because kids get bored..
Their "investment" has to keep moving or they get antsy with ADD.
These kidiots here are not usually going to sit on coins for 3 years as the next Ethereum comes along.
Which means coin #6,001 is coming and so on..

The corruption is masked in a shady grey area manufactured to exist on purpose.
This scammy ass ICO Altcoin scene is made the way it its for a reason.
"Free Market" is by design to be a cloak of darkness for thieves to operate.
A lack of a definition for scam is great for those that want to Shill coins and not be called a scam supporter LOL

Most times it should be blatant.
Unless you *NEED* to work..
Then you will show up here and say you were paid for some part of a project.
You will defend XYZ coin because you NEED to get paid making graphics or a miner etc for them.
Is the project legit ?
Who gives a fuck.. you need to get paid !
It's legit.. didn't you read the "White Paper" ?  :D

..and i NEED to find something to "invest" in ..you all say.

Believe it or not guys i have done nothing but try and get you all THINKING for years.
It's not about me forcing my views on you all but getting you all to to think about your own perspectives.
AND what is going to be productive, healthy and constructive (in many ways)

Short term profit at a steep negative cost is not worth it.

This is a nice thoughtful text, i like it.

Though I don't like the outcome, i do not consider greed or anything as a problem.
All in all this kind of WildWest culture, should remind us, that we are dealing with much more dangerous treads in future.
How could we dare to threaten central banks one day, if we are not even able to survive ourselfs.
They have not even begun to do something about us, because we are small and irrelevant for now and we are a great source to steal innovations and then send us to hell later.
That's why i, even i don't like many behaviors, think, we need them all,
as a measurement, to find out, how strong this technology is, in terms of liberating some parts of our society.
There are many of those who are abusing this "revolution", but wouldn't it be a false picture, of what we are going to deal with,
if these elements wouldn't be here? I even sometime feel love and enjoy to observe humanity raw and unaltered.
I hope we some day will be able to find out, how to not do harm to each other, without being forced to behave in any way.
Some may find it ridiculous, but i am still feeling, liberty, voluntary contribution and nonviolence is the way to deal with us.
But it may be a loooong way to go.

So let me give my personal feeling about a definition of scam:

A scam can happen by purpose and not by purpose. Some are just planning to get other peoples money, and others, on the other hand are
starting with the attempt to build something great and end up as scam in two different ways:
1) Greed in case of success, because money generates greed and the only weapon against the fact, that greed is a part of our nature, is culture and being aware of this fact.
2) Frustration, many are eating FUD and don't "survive" it. They feel left alone with their set of values (whatever they are) and i consider this the main cause of dead projects.

How may one be able to survive here and manage to keep up with his values (or even improve them)?
Well i am not in the position to judge, but here is what i try as my concept:
If you want to build something for a good reason (from your perspective) you better don't expect, to get anything back, for it.
If you are dependent on motivating feedback, or good will of others, better try a different activity. Try to get an understanding, WHY you should better have no expectations,
of how anybody should behave and why therefore your project's progress or success shouldn't depend on any need, to force anyone to alter his behavior just for your worldview.
Have your eyes open, but have a friendly view on the fact, that your world is different from the world anybody else is living in and is conditioned from.
There is never just one truth, and there is more than just good and bad, we are complicated beings that we are having no clue whats going on here or in our universe or anywhere,
so more questions are the best answers to think about others.
Disclaimer: Just my personal concept

great and inspiring discussion here,
lets keep it up
have fun
Matthias

Agreed.

Back when Doge took the #2 spot a couple years ago on CoinMarketCap i knew it was going to get ugly.
The top-10 list back then was pitiful.

In time i have watched in complete disgust and horror and what is worthy to be deemed a top 10 coin.
It all seems to be a vortex of silly obscene greed playing out.
The scene has lost it's credibility (if it ever had any to begin with)
And i think it shows to the public.

The outside world is not looking at today's top-10 coins then running here screaming "take my money now!".
Scammers are !
..and a sprinkling off greedy little shits (hoping to fleece a BTC out of it all)

I don't know how people look at the top-10 and say .. ahh yeah i wanna buy that shit.
All i see is a giant pointless shit-list of scammy ass crooked / rigged bullshit "scheme tokens"

Maybe we can have some hope though ?
The greedy little morons that pile in here have short attention spans.
So the "One day" claims will get boring fast as they count their sinking / dropping ROI's on Poloniex.
And wake up !

It has been pointed out by people here that 98% of every ICO that comes out loses it's value and never gets close to the initial start value ever again.
So Why in gods name do users want to keep falling victim ?
People can only keep taking a loss so many times before they get fed up.

Things need to change.
I hope the time is now.. because this downward scammy trajectory we've been on is getting old.

Things will change, time will divide this community in 99% to die and 1% to live,
which does not mean, those coins who stay will be the good ones. It will be the same soup like it has been before,
because the question of good and bad is decided on a cultural level. Technology can only enforce things,
as long as humanity has brain enough, to keep it up. (i cant stop praising satoshi, what a piece of elegance)
As long as humans feel like having to have a leader,
having to have countries and having to be on top of something, there will be rigging, raping and warfare.
It will need more than our (natural) lifespan to see this change.
That's why i try to keep up staying alive as long as i can:
I freaking love the show (searching the missing skip button)

Everybody thinks decentralization is the biggest idea of crypto, but i feel its  decentralization and CHOICE.
If there is something in history we have proven to be bad in, its choice.
Some are feeling even offended, by being asked to choose.
Some people have to learn, to use their free will and have to find out, they actually have one.
Its not their fault, its our fault as humans, to raise our kids in the way its happening today.
Sorry for drifting into philosophy, but i think this "movement" is deeply connected with some
(not easy to face) ideas about us, as humans, we will have to just throw away.
(ask my dog, it may know more about us, as we do)

I love the world and I love humanity, what a complex beautiful piece of randomness.
And i love crypto, because i love things being raw, unaltered, self-regulating and colorful.
Here is what i think would be great to try as humans,
but who knows:

have a sunny week of funny things happening
and enjoy

Ripple? - They are made for bankers not for YOU

eth - Not sure but reading the story i feel, the so-called "DAO-Hacker" did not steal,
they did, by killing his contract, but my knowledge  in eth is limited, so i may be wrong.

my coin: don't want to get to get into advertising mode, find out yourself

Swiscoin is a Scam? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1793579.0

YES!

This template is an easy scam call.

100 coins "available" ... calculate market cap
Yet 1000000000000000000000000000 coins are premined and don't show on marcap.

How many times will this pattern repeat?

ps .... looking at you XLM  ;D

The vote result is biased, ETH got the most shit coin votes? It doesn't make sense, maybe ETC shills are too much here. We need to make more clean in the community, kill the real shit: MLM coins like leo, swis.

because ETH is GoldmanSachs shiiiit!  It is 50cent on ico ... pumped to $13.  Also if butters leaves the project it is doomed.

NANOX  229 BTC value ... nope ... yobit special new edition to Shit Tier Cap list!

here is where (the only place) you can find it: https://yobit.net/en/trade/NANOX/BTC  :o

no wonder! the fake orders are already in from YOBIT itself.
and the funny part is that it doesn't allow me to sell my 0.00000020 at 800BTC but the history shows a lot of 0.00000001 NANOX are sold at 199BTC

P.S. Yobit is the source of my amusement sometimes.
