Title: Who else from Avalon batch 1 hasn't received a unit or shipping information?

Please limit this thread only to people who ordered and haven't received a unit or tracking/shipment information about their order. Only information pertinent should be posted, the rest will be pruned if deemed irrelevant.

Please post your order number and your order date. Please note if you do not wish for Avalon to publicly confirm your order status. Otherwise this is a request for Avalon team to do so.

If you receive your units, or get information please update OP.

Please post if you have had any communication, or posted a support ticket or called DHL or EMS about your order.

It's sad it has to come to this but it's necessary since avalon is pumping batch 3 buyers, while the "+trust" batch one buyers are still in the dark and batch 2 is taking a "break".

Bitsyncom, Dr Zhang : please respond and let everyone know what's going on and confirm orders have been shipped or not if the user requested. We don't want to shame you, we only want a little information and some answers. A simple response such as "shipped date,DHL"or "shipped date,EMS" is sufficient.

OP will be updated as much as possible.

Tripper22 Order 20000152 placed and paid on September 23rd 2012. My submitted address information and phone number are correct.

Numerous emails, private messages and 1 support ticket. No response from Yifu. I have called DHL everyday for the last 2 weeks and they have nothing for me in their system.

I know the Avalon team is busy, but they could give us a quick response. I am very surprised that with my low order number and quick payment that nothing is coming for me. I know that orders and payments well after mine have been shipped and received. How is this fair to people that placed orders quickly and paid quickly? Batch 1 early on was about trust with a payment method that could not be reversed. I paid quickly because I knew Dr Zhang had delivered consistently in the past. It appears that your order number and how quickly you pay has no effect on how quickly you will receive your Avalon. This delay is obviously costing me a lot of bitcoins.

Edit: I submitted another support ticket as requested in the last Avalon newsletter.

PS: Just read from Russian tree of this forum, that ngzhang in person told client with 4 units order (country: Belarus) about customs problems with his units and offered help with that. Is that customer was special?

Order 200000381 paid with BTC October 3rd, 2012

Ticket opened on support.avalon-asic.com five days ago after I saw later orders being delivered, got an answer immediately telling me that my address/telephone number could be wrong and to send it again.

I've asked for a tracking number because DHL does not even search for a package for me without tracking number (I've tried several times, to no avail).

I'm waiting for tracking and/or delivery.

Great news! They "blend"?

One machine, the cards came loose. screws stripped out of heatsink that hold it in place. Bashed the shit out of everything inside. I think I've salvaged it.. maybe.

One machine is fine, blending well. :D

Give them your name and address and they will let you know if you have anything coming. I'm still waiting and I have no new information from BitSyncom.

How long do you guys wait until you show all the proof you have and request forum mods to give out scammer tags to avalon crew? Maybe that might get you some info.

I didn't even think of that as an option. I don't think that the The Avalon Team are scammers.

I think that their shipping and order management is a clown show. They should reimburse customers for substantial loses due to their mistakes.

Well it seems like they really dont care. If you get it great. If you dont... Well maybe they will look into it. They have plenty of time for posting online when they wish, giving an interview, or whatever... But making sure batch 1 customers who gave them VALUABLE TRUST and money... Eh... They will ignore you, maybe get you your gear, or perhaps if u dont chase them down and beg, maybe nothing at all.

They have reached the too big for their britches stage. But eh, money will do that to ppl.

Good luck. I realize, if i was you, i would be sad about not being able to mine with fast gear and not knowing why. You took some risk and still no reward. They have their reward 3 times over now.

Some hopeless people even try to give Yifu some money, to make delivery faster :)
Yifu, if you said that 90% (270) of units were already delivered to customers, please take a time and do some manual work to satisfy customers of 30 undelivered units. And give us tracking #.

It's a really shitty situation and it appears that BitSyncom / Yifu doesn't give two shits. I can't think of anything else I can do to get this rectified. It's good to know people understand what I am going through. Thanks.

I just called DHL and got a tracking number.  There is a package with my name on it coming to me from Hong Kong.   The package hasn't been given to DHL yet but the tracking number was generated this morning.  The only information I gave the DHL representative was my Name and zip-code.  DHL said that once they have the package it will take 1 to 2 days for it to be delivered.

Yufi, I assume this package is an Avalon being sent to me from your company.  Is it?  Let me know if you find out.

Lucky you... I called DHL today and still no tracking number yet for me.  No packages inbound for me yet!  Hopefully they'll eventually ship it!  They definitely did not send them all at once;  I'm betting there is quite a few people who still haven't received them.  Your package is ahead of mine!  Maybe tomorrow I'll call and they'll have done more shipping!

Update: 4/1/2013; called DHL, the lady I talked to said they require a tracking number to locate a packet now
Update: 4/3/2013; ngzhang contacted me, said the box is now ready to ship, but they cannot ship to a PO Box, I gave a new address to ship
(I had two addresses in store.avalon-asic.com, both a PO box AND a physical address); I've also submitted tickets with my address, and I have my information in the new system as well.
Update: 4/4/2013;  called DHL, couldn't find anything inbound
Update: 4/8/2013;  called DHL, nothing has been shipped yet
Update: 4/9/2013;  emailed avalon; they responded it should be shipped;  DHL still can't find it :(
Update: 4/10/2013; DHL returned 0 hits to me (asked via email), forwarded result of DHL response to avalon
Update: 4/11/2013; no response from avalon;  nothing from DHL
Update: 4/12/2013; avalon delivered, ship date on invoice says it was shipped 4/5/2013.  Avalon is currently doing ~70-~75 gigahash (avg of 73?)

Got interesting conversation between me and one customer with 4 avalons already mining. He said, that he choose EMS delivery (wrote support tickets), but his units were shipped via DHL. For his country this is acceptable. But if Avalon team shipped via DHL for me, its total fail, cos DHL is not working with individual persons in my country and all goods forwarding back to sender. Might be that the reason, my order were in problem list? It will be total fail if BFL start shipping before my unit will arrive.

Ok guys,

with the Hong Kong forwarder's name (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137534.msg1610807#msg1610807) at hand, thanks iamnot, a DHL operator trusted me and decided to search for my packages using my last name and address... and...

I have my fuck**g tracking number! :)

The sad thing is that my waybill has been created yesterday, march 28th, in the afternoon (I believe Hong Kong time), so either my units arrived here, were sent back and yesterday they started the whole process to send them here again... hard to believe

or

they were never sent in the beginning, maybe my order was lost when they dismantled the avalon asic store between batch one and batch two, who knows?

Anyway, let's  hope now that they arrive here in a few days, I'll keep you informed.

I would even be willing to take all of my units with no PSU's if it will move things along

C'mon guys we have a lot of people who invested a lot of money to fund this project (Batch #1)

We should be rewarded for taking the initial plunge by getting all of our units.


Batch 2 and Batch 3 already sold out or is about to sell out


Batch 1 customers like me we need our tracking numbers we need some kind of feedback from these guys as to where are units are and how long we will wait for them.


I know you guys are understaffed and overworked but communication is key right now.


im trying to be very understanding and patient but we want our avalons!

I am a patient guy, also ordered a unit from the left overs to say so. So I expect to be end of line...

But I have to admit this now starts to get really annoying.
I have no reason to believe I'm on the problem list, as I've received several other goods from China or Hong Kong, and that my address is valid.

People also seem to receive update emails, a newsletter, even that I do not receive. If I add that all up, I'm left completely in the blank.

Unit was received yesterday.
Aluminium was at some edges damaged, but unit seems to be hashing away fine.

I have not yet got my Batch 1 order.  I have left 4 support requests.  Up until recently, I knew everyone was in the same boat and waited patiently, but after the last newsletter explicitly asking us to use support and we would get a reply as the remaining batch 1 items were likely to be address issues etc., I duly left my support request and I still have heard nothing. 

The details are as follows - 1 unit with order #200000789 placed on November 18, 2012

Hoping it will turn up soon to give me faith my batch 2 orders are ok

I called DHL every other day for the last 3 weeks, nothing showed up in their systems.

There is no date on the waybill. Also no other numbers visible that can be traced.

So you got yours, but nothing showed up at DHL?  Perhaps I have hope yet as DHL cannot find anything come to me either...   I hope so as mine still has not arrived (or shipped according to DHL)

Still waiting for 10 units - btw 2 of the units that did arrive came completely destroyed to the point that they cannot be used.

Had a call just now. That was from EMS. They have package for me from China (not Hong Kong?) but can't give it to me, cos haven't customs clearance documents :( At Monday they will fill request to central office for documents. Fuck.

Update: Asked for tracking number. Got it. According to track #, package was sent April 07. As I suspected. And sent from China directly.

I know someone else in Canada received their order weeks ago, and they placed their order a month later than I did.

Avalon has no way of confirming that a avalon arrived, also isnt able to confirm that a avalon is NOT received. So they have to wait for their Agent to tell them when the avalon comes back.
If that does not happen, they have to assume they did receive one and want to have a extra unit.

I think its more than 3 units missing seaming i'm still waiting on 2 and im not located in a remote place i am located in a big european city  they just did not send the units yet that thats the problem .where being bamboeseld

It takes a lot of effort to blow through customer cash. Maybe they will have time to email you next month about the delay.

Avalon has no way of confirming that a avalon arrived, also isnt able to confirm that a avalon is NOT received. So they have to wait for their Agent to tell them when the avalon comes back.
If that does not happen, they have to assume they did receive one and want to have a extra unit.

Why not ? The agent can check and a provide tracking code.

We're talking about a few customers, easy to check.

Nope, I haven't received it yet.  Avalon has a code of silence when it comes to customer inquiries, I wonder what "Omerta" translates into in mandarin...

I'm starting to lose hope.  I put my faith and money in these guys over 7 months ago, and now I feel like I've been scammed.

I now tested it in germany, asked them if are packages underway to my address and they told me they cant tell me that info. Then i asked if its possible when i give the source-address but they didnt want to give it out without shipping number.

It depends on the DHL staff member. Every time you call, you'll get someone else. Some have been very persistent by calling again and again until they got a shipment number by using the sender address of batch one, which was posted a while ago.

Once you have the shipment number, you can do track & trace on the web.

What do you mean with your last sentence? First they checked when you gave your address only and the last times you have to give your name too? Or wasnt it possible anymore then?

At first they asked for my address and name.  The last couple of times they wanted only my name, and when I asked if they could search by my address I was told "no", even though I had been doing it for several weeks.

The security-man from dhl wrote me that it should be a difference between dhl parcel and dhl express. For dhl parcel a change in address isnt possible he claims. A change is only possible if the customer has a post-number and the sender has put this number on the packet. And the receiver has to go through post-ident beforehand. Thats pretty secure because your id is checked and so on. Such registered customers can login at a website and change the address.

The only other possibility is to do a change of address contract. The receiver then gets a confirmation letter about this change of address contract. When the receiver isnt happy with this he can stop this contract.

So that looks safe for me then. Maybe the only problem is with dhl express then. He says that with dhl express a change of destination can be done. He claims again that only the sender or payer can make a change of address. The receiver only can do this when a unsuccessful try to deliver happened. Thats only possible if the sender gives the full address of sender and receiver and the sending number. The receiver only can change the target when he has the notification code or the sending number (with knowledge about sending and destination address).

He then claims that a third person can get the sending number when he knows the sender and receiver address. The reason for this is because only the sender knows the sending number. And they dont give out this number for data security reasons.

So for me it looks like the problem is with dhl express and that someone only has to find out the sending number. I only get normal parcels from dhl in the next days so i cant test it. But when you say its possible to get this number i will give them a link. They should run some tests about this.

Nope, they were never able to find a package with my name, and I haven't received anything from Avalon yet.   A few times I asked if the sender's address would be useful, but none of the customer service reps wanted to get that info from me.

I dont want to pickup, i only have questions. And since they dont speak with their customers anymore i thought of this way to contact them...
Its pretty useless trying to get in contact. I think i got lucky when i opened a help-thread at bitcointalk but emailing avalon, or emailing directly yifu, opening a ticket or spam the irc channel didnt work for me yet. I can understand that people slowly get angry.

It's shocking that a few still haven't received their batch #1, and there is also a user who's machine arrived broken who despite initial promises from avalon still hasn't heard anything about a replacement

I get these are technical guys who don't want to deal with all the customer service but why the hell don't they just hire someone to process emails and support tickets, they'd be happy and customers would be happy, it's not like they can't afford it.

My guess is that until they have the SMT line dialed in, building the custom parts of these machines is a pain in the butt (i.e., they need to schedule time on someone else's SMT line).

Having to deal with the one off problem components and diagnostics even more so.  It seems like they attempted to built them to be bullet proof so they wouldn't have to deal with support headaches.  Unfortunately it looks  like they still have 3% or 4% that need some kind of assistance.

I dont have a clue. Does someone who got a miner knows the address or is there only the address of the shipping provider? At least the bill should contain the address right? Anyone?

Just got a reply to support query...my Batch 1 order has been confirmed and I have a DHL ref, so hopefully will arrive in the next couple of weeks.  It got tied up due to a mismatch on funds receipts.

That's the long overdue good news.  Not so good...my Batch 2.1 order for 2 units got added to my account and then a day later is showing up as cancelled !? :(

This is terrible, understand how you should feel. I would be looking for Yifu in China to kill him.

Do some research on him.  He wired money to Yifu after the sales had closed and demanded that yifu include him in batch 2 1.  Yifu told him he would ship his units after all the batches had been complete.  As I am already at the end of the line with batch 3, I figure I can wait until the end of batch 3 and take this off his hands given the almost daily complaints he has had.

Why is it so terrible? Or did you just not know his history being that you just signed up a month ago?

Actually yifu said that anti will get unit as last on batch 1 and not when all 3 batches complete shipping.
As buyers from batch 2 get their unit I feel that anti has a right to complain.
I heard that Melmo received his batch unit and maybe anti will get his too :)

Fair enough, if he was told April.   I remember seeing yifu say he would receive it LAST, leaving the batch number open to interpretation.  Whatever, it doesn't matter.  He can get a refund according to yifu's last post if he follows the instructions in the link provided.  And he hasn't done so or at least told us.  He just keeps complaining in this thread in broken English that nobody understands.

Yup, got mine yesterday, 8 and a half months after ordering and paying for it.  Lost out on tens of thousands of dollars in revenue, but at least it's here.

Did you guys try all the ways to contact them before? Yifu is in New York. I didnt know that before i found his phone number.

I dont like that the support didnt really change like promised. I believe the reason is that Yifu doesnt allow himself to delegate the support to someone other. He is doing it all on himself and the effect is that the support is rarely done.

Im not such a techguy that i would do this and i think there are already a lot guys that want to earn from it. See my sig for a incomplete list. Im really not sure all of them will succeed with it.
But that isnt what im sad about. Its that i have to run after yifu and do it again and again and again and again. Thats making me tired. And i really think i will not order anything anymore form avalon because i dont want to have this again. I think it could be that avalon will have a hard time in the future with the other companies coming out. Except they have very good prices or some customers dont care about support.

Unfortunately thats the standard support of avalon. He seems to read tickets and emails but dont put work into it. If iam lucky he makes a note to look into it. But if it involves work i think he is doing other things more likely so that tickets are lying around. Since i phoned him i wrote him a email, actualized the ticket and tried to phone him a couple times so he can do the rest. Nothing happened yet.
Im really, really tired of this and i wont order from avalon anymore. Its not worth the stress since there are now other competitors that do support.
I mean i dont demand he is doing it personally, but he will. So if its eating his time its his fault. But customers arent happy with it.
You have another experience? A special wire to Yifu? Could you then please ask him to finalize ticket 948?

I'm from eary batch 2 ( 2 february) and my order is stuck in Limbodue buggy website of avalon when batch 2 opened...Anyway I consider myself in your position. I opened a thread with scam accusation against Avalon.
