Amazingly, this is the most effective way of introducing bitcoin for everyone. Because it is much more interactive for us in providing knowledge and information regarding the bitcoin, besides all those who do not know bitcoin can be asked closer to us. Hope this is very helpful to those in the know bitcoin

I like the idea , but using Facebook is probably what will make this idea fail.
There is no active Bitcoin pages in Facebook , not even one as far as I know . It would be better If you buy "whybitcoin.info" or "whybitcoin.net" domains (they are available : https://www.godaddy.com/domains/searchresults.aspx?checkAvail=1&tmskey=&domainToCheck=whybitcoin.info )  and make a simple website layout or use Jekyll instead.

Nice dude, keep your work. Because I think the presence of people like you who want to deploy bitcoin with the help of social media, the people who do not know I think bitcoin will be getting to know what is bitcoin. For I greatly appreciate your work. cheers

A blog about bitcoin,slack group or a simple website explaining bitcoin would have been better than Facebook group.Most bitcoin groups become place to post spammy links.I have joined several groups when I was new but only got more confused and learnt nothing.I have left most of them.
It was some simple written blogs that helped me gain some little understanding about bitcoin

However, the best and most efficient way to get someone interested in something is trough Facebook. Everybody is on social networks nowadays and has his attention there.

I think that it was a great idea to set up a Facebook page dedicated to Bitcoin. I believe social media is the key to spreading the word about the advantages of Bitcoin. With many youths, visiting Facebook every day, your efforts are definitely going to be rewarded with a new generation of Bitcoin users. I attempted to write about Bitcoin in my shool's newspaper. I hope it turned out to be successful. Keep up your efforts.

The content is focused on simplicity. All posts are short and straightforward, exposing the values of Bitcoion

I also believe that if we are being persistent and post quality content we can build a strong customer base for Bitcoin :)

Then you should probably start promoting it either by paying or by sharing the content of the page in different groups . You shouldn't target random people or use exchange websites like Addmefast because they are bots .
Instead , target people interested in privacy/security and mostly programmers , those kind of people are the first who get interested.

For every 10,000 people, you'll most likely get 10-100 people to use Bitcoin. If you're going to invest that much time, you might as well invest the time into making money and then buy an advertisement on television.

if you want to buy a domain then do it now, because vultures may buy these domains when they see your interest in them here.
i have also tried buying a domain a while back but whatever variation i chose from my site, the name was taken by a domain hoarder and then was put for sale for 10+ times the real value.

yeah some people are know the real benefits of BTCitcoin because they know what bitcoin can do in their lives , i use bitcoin as a currency where i can gambling , trade and investment because in bitcoin i can earn profit it depends on me in how the way i make money for example now i join in signature campaign i don't earn that much but it helps me to earn bitcoins for free  ;)

That's a great idea and I very appreciate about that, but if you know maybe in my mind using facebook is not effective in my opinions. because like me not all of my close people is using facebook, but better  to make a specific site is just having a content about the advantages of bitcoin but better to starting your mission from your close people.

Social media definitely will do magic for spreading out bitcoins to new peoples.
One of the effective way of spreading bitcoins which is I am following currently : I run a PTC site and I emphasize bitcoin cash out with no minimum cash-out and 10% additional benefit.

Yes, I don't have a FB account either but I think it's great what OP did. The more people know about Bitcoin the better and what people really need is unbiased and positive information not what the media is throwing on them from time to time.

Any ideas for advertising costs money. If one of rich people would invest in BTC advertising, let say 2000 BTC or ~ 1 million USD, then I think BTC can go up. Or the best choice would be if Amazon start to use Bitcoin.  ;)

Was thinking about it too! Thousands of people at least from developing countries are on PTC sites and this can bring them in touch with Bitcoin ,maybe even aid their economical situation (1$ for me, 5 meals for them eg).

of course bitcoin would go up the significantly though unfortunately the rich people usually just dont invest in bitcoins their wealth

This is a great idea, making the information more accessible and community driven Bitcoin campaign.  At least this is good for those who are addicted on using FB and can be accessed by million of users instantly just by having the link of the fb community site.  Great work there OP.

Clickbait titles and links are always getting people interested in stuff. Although most of them are fake, we can find something to make everyone interested in Bitcoin with these clickbait titles too. These links are also always getting spread around the internet, bringing a huge number of visitors per day. Just an opinion.

I honestly think this is a good idea.
We just need to start getting more people into this and let it spread even further. With Genesis Mining running it's advertisement on facebook, I believe this should too, with the help of the community. That way, we can probably, hopefully, give an impact to the public.

OP i will also suggest you to use those domains and have simple page or wordpress template and start posting about bitcoin benifits as article and link up all social media accounts with those posts. However maintaining website, hosting cost, managing social media accounts daily will need much more effort so better you also add few ads in your blog so that you can actually cover your cost and time on maintaining site.

I think using the social media platforms to advertise and promote Bitcoin could be good idea to getting people to use this powerful crypto currency.

Using social media as a pathway for more users to get into bitcoin is truly effective. At the same time social media makes mass adoptions, which is not good for a stabilized growth as it gets notified to most government.

But many of the people are not doing that right, if anybody open twitter or facebook campaign then only people here are try to move things to the worldwide and that also for campaign payment only not for the interest with bitcoins. We start to do that with interest then  bitcoin will largely use by all the people.

I'm sorry but i'm not buying it. It seams more that you are using that notion " If i don't have benefit, i will not do it." , and i'm pretty sure you will monetize the page as soon as you get the chance.
People won't get interested in bitcoin over some bitcoin page, they will only do so if and when they feel the need for it, or get desire to invest in it.  It just wont

Internet advertising can be one way but of course it's difficult because everybody advertise on Internet.
Other ways can be personal talks with friends and relatives (much more effective from my experience), share good testimonies in our  FB and other social networks etc.
It's good to try to talk with main newspapers in the country.
Lastly, we should educate people about Bitcoin, maybe through public lectures, publish books, booklets etc.

I believe facebook pages like these are the best option, because it reaches to many, many people and if someone doesn't have a facebook profile there is a high chance that someone who does can and can help him. Yes, for get started explain to people using facebook is a great idea, because usually a person open the facebook more than once daily. It would be famous as much as we share and create more memes here about how many advantages bitcoin has, just like compare transaction with regular banks and people easier to understand it. You post that "Bitcoin is completely anonymous" and "Bitcoin has no fee". Both statements are not true so i stopped reading there.
If you want get people interested in Bitcoin, then first of all do not lie to them! Or else they will think Bitcoin is a scam and are done with it.

Bitcoin is not for everyone. There is no need to get ordinary people to use it. But there is a certain demographic that you should encourage people to read about it and get them interested. These people are usually male, coders or someone from the IT field, smart, open minded with a small penchant for activism and rebellion.

exactly, and thats what already happen now. because after many programs system like MLM and they use bitcoin as cryptocurrency beside fiat, and after that the system not work or get scam, then people blame bitcoin.

I think using facebook to share those ideas is good enough because many people use facebook. Most of people, because they can access facebook even they don't have smartphones.

Well, best possible idea I can think of is money exchange, think of the fact that you can send someone in the far away country 1$ , you can't do that with fiat , for fiat you have expenses and you pay the banks commission and so on , in bitcoin you have miners fee which is around 2 cents last I checked if I am not wrong. You don't even have to pay that if you can wait but if you want to send it fast you can pay like 10 cents and send it right away. Thats cheap and worldwide.

I hope someone will come up with a short film not exactly like a documentary but a story that uses Bitcoin and to be released in Youtube so that we can all share or maybe someone can pool an amount of Bitcoin so we can run a contest to make a short film and make sure Bitcoin is there being used.

Linking social media accounts are for Ripple people, not Bitcoin. We are seeing too many people flaunting their Bitcoin ownership on the internet, and they are making it easy for hackers and governments to target them. Bitcoin is like cash, pseudo-anonymous and it should stay that way.

What will happen, if a government who previously supported the Bitcoin idea, now turn against it and start prosecuting people who owns it. The first thing they will do to track down these people, is to turn to social media. ^hmmm^

It is far more not engaging to say pseudo anonymous instead of anonymous when the difference is so little for the general user.

Bitcoin's fees compared to PayPal or Stripe are so much lower, that the final conclusion for the general user is - not existent.

The whole concept is to talk about the final values the user gets. Not explaining every small and technical detail.

Yes! The goal is to introduce Bitcoin's worth to people. This way when the content gets shared, more people will find value in it and when they find value, they will use it.

when i buy porn and my wife divorces me and i buy drugs and get jailed and then i come complaining and you tell me: well to be honest it is not anonymous but almost. i guess i would be facing charges again.
also you can almost every day read here stuff like this: why 0 confirmations after x hours? are bitcoins not supposed to be fast? oh bty 0 fee since it is free.
if you sell me a product and tell me it is free and i find out later that i have to pay fees every single time, then i will never buy from you again and most likely return the product. Maybe find some other altcoin which is free or at least dos not lie to me.
if you want to be taken serious you have to act serious. period.

Bitcoin is more like pseudonymous instead of anonymous. see this useful website : http://www.bitcoinisnotanonymous.com/ (you can google for more info about this) . It's better to give accurate information's to users instead of spreading false info , that way you don't give any future users false hopes In case they are planning to use it in some things that require full anonymity.

No one will join a Facebook page about something they barely know about. In fact, it's probably worse to start a Facebook page.

Another idea to get people to use Bitcoin would be to find a way to get it on the news; but instead of showing all the criminals, show all the benefits. For example, the people that made millions just buy buying a few odollars worth of bitcoin back in 2010.

Yeah, the idea described above did very well and could provide a positive impact if it was quickly done. Bitcoin is indeed going to be a digital currency outstanding and probably will overwhelm every transaction online. Spread the good thing something it would be more useful and get something out of the ordinary. May be used by those who can afford to do so

One thing though, granted Bitcoin has some great features but we should not mislead newcomers into believing that it is without flaws. If you get people hyped about Bitcoin and then they find out the hard way that it's not all rosy, they'd be more likely to spread negativity the next time they're asked about Bitcoin. Like for example Bitcoin transactions are usually fast but can on occasions take hours to complete. It's always best to remain objective when explaining things to people. But yeah the idea of a FB page for Bitcoin is pretty cool.

I'm not a fan of blindly marketing Bitcoin to the general population. Bitcoin doesn't need marketing, just proper technology. If it works like intended it will market itself, simply due to the fact that it is very useful.

Launching an advertising campaign for Bitcoin might actually have a negative impact on Bitcoin adoption, because it makes Bitcoin look like some product that needs advertising to be sold. In addition, it might induce wrong or overly positive expectations in people that then lead to disappointment. This is especially the case, if people are not made aware of the risks of using Bitcoin and the necessary security precautions.

In general, I'm only recommending Bitcoin to people that have shown initial interest. I always try to be honest and cover the shortcomings and risks as well. I also urge people, to do some research on the topic prior to buying Bitcoin. This prevents disappointment and generates users that are able to manage their own finances without constant external intervention.

This is nice, Good job op. I haven't seen any active facebook page about bitcoin so it's really great. I suggest that you should post some advantages about bitcoins and have a pinned post of the overview of bitcoin

This ad would clearly help people on knowing what bitcoin is, and if someone asks them about bitcoin, they can just show them this video too and so on and so forth. This is a really good public material that we needed.

This is a good idea. Most of the people that we know of are in facebook so it's a good way of informing them about it. Internet has become a necessity nowadays and if there's an internet then there's social media so if people will be more engage and be interested about it then it will spread like wildfire if they just understand and will know the advantages of being involved in bitcoin world.

Okay, I agree with that. because in the facebook is full with auto bot poster, maybe for suggestion if you wanna making a blog for bitcoin and better for not putting a lot of advertising because there are a lot of bitcoin blog information but it's just fully with advertising and I'm really hated about that.

Well some also dont care about blogs anymore. It is just facebook or twitter.  I think what he did is a right thing for there are lots of people that might come in his page any minute.

More of us here in Philippines here in our country knows bitcoin. So they use for investing, trading and gambling. They also use it paying they bought in online shop. So people in ours are good in bitcoin or what is bitcoin all about and whe are not late in the trend of the world. So thank you for the who invented this because of him I change my life.

You're right dude many of us now in our country are using bitcoin. So that we can use bitcoin as a currency to start investing, trading and do gambling in website because if we do gambling there's no need some entrance fee we can also use now are bitcoin wallet to buy online some item that we need and we can use for daily living.

I like the page so far, I just skimmed over it but it seems like there is enough there that it'll get some people doing things or at least a bit more interested in Bitcoin. I personally don't use facebook and so I won't be able to help out and offer tips, but I hope there are some people who will regularly contribute to that page.

Wow that was a wonderful idea, it was really good.  A very nice idea of campaigning all about bitcoins.  I am not into social media but I would take time to visit my facebook account once again.  If we inform people about the capabilities of bitcoin as to another way of earning money or its ability to do things like the normal currency we are using, many people will surely use bitcoins and then bitcoins will be stable.

I don't think getting people from Facebook involved in Bitcoin stuffs is a good idea. For sure, the reason why they are spending much time on Facebook is because they are one of the type of people that has been absorbed/eaten by the social media. Even if they see your post, they'll be too lazy to read it and even if they read it, it's very likely that they won't be able to fully understand it. Don't get me wrong but take a look at the society, people that spend time mostly on Facebook are getting dumber and dumber these days.

Social media is easily one of the best ways for people to talk about things and get people to look into things, especially when you consider social media's role in today's world. At the same time it can be a powerful tool which can be used to serve interests through censorship, but that shouldn't be an issue for something like Bitcoin. I haven't had a Facebook account ever, but I might consider making one if I feel like contributing more to the community through other means.

The concept is really great if you can manage it in a good way and can make it spread to get people attracted by this, because there are already a lot of groups and pages about bitcoin on facebook but most of them just promote scam or ponzi sites on them and such actions mostly make a bad reputation of bitcoin into the minds of new people.

Ithink onlin advertising will no effect much now.we have tto advertise locally so people can really get teir attention on it without thinking it s ssometing normal lets show them how special it is

advertising is a good idea and would help bitcoin to become more known. but of course there is a problem. advertise is not for free and nobody wants to pay for it as long as he is not profiting. so that leaves us with companies that handle bitcoin.

Perhaps fb has the highest number of  users currently  than other social networks . I  think it's a good platform to educate and inform the public about the value of crytocurrency. I think when just explain the fundamentals of bitcoin people really get it.  i know that a few of my friends have had a laugh when i first explained bitcoin but over time most of them have started looking into it and ended up using it.

I think to encourage people to use bitcoin someone has to make comics about it to explain the pros and cons. I suppose the problem that  people don't know and use bitcoin well can be solved by some interesting way of introducing the information about it.

One way to getting people to use bitcoin by tell your friends and give an explanation all about the advantages of bitcoin through Facebook will do the same, I think will works like you do. Basically people will attracted to bitcoin whether as currency to earn or as investment.

I think sharing bitcoin news in social media is a great thing, but somehow people not really interested if you only explain and announce in social media, i think the best way for people to recognize bitcoin is through an event, maybe gaming event where the price is bitcoin or charity event
