For only launching yesterday, we are very pleased with how many of you have been trying out Nitrogen Sports!  We have had a couple big parlay winners (and one was a 5 teamer). :)

We got a couple requests for Rugby League, so we have just added this as a betting option!

While we were at it, we also added "League of Legends" to the video game betting, and updated our Tennis offering.

Show me one other bitcoin sportsbetting site offering up an 800 number for customer support.

Also take a look at the odds being calculated for parlays. It seems they may be incorrect or inconsistencies.

For parlay odds, I will help you with some calculations:

In your first screenshot:
-162 (American) = 1.62 (decimal)
Parlay multiplication:
1.62 * 1.62 = 2.62 (decimal)
Convert back to American:
2.62 (decimal) = +162 (American)

You can follow this formula for any number of teams in a parlay. I hope that helps!

Also, on your settings page, you can change your odds format from American (default) to decimal if you prefer the 1.62 notation for odds.

We had one of our biggest weekends this past weekend (NBA, UFC, Baseball and soccer) and also a lot of winners!

Site looks great but the juice is too high. The other two BTC books have better odds but GL taking on BTC players.

It's kind of been all over the place the last couple weeks. Was at $2.20 USD then went up to $4.50 and now its  around $3.50.

Might not seem like large movements but really its massive swings of like 50%  :o

 
I personally like that my winnings are not being return to my wallet after each game is completed. With number of bets weekly/daily this would be alot to keep up with and track as well as loading the wallet to update the blockchain with such frequency.

With that being said when I am ready to cashout I then need to make a request here or using the support form on the site?


I had an issue concerning the following wager. The kansas city game was rained out and then played the next day with the same scheduled pitchers and kansas city won. That game was graded as a push and the odds were reduced.

On the general rules page it states

It seems the push grading is following rule .17 on the general rules page. Although rule .23 cites sport specific rules over rule the general rules.

However the sport specific rules for baseball become confusing when the  word "playoff" is thrown into rule number .4


My only complaint so far is alot of times the bet slip will not update the amount to be won when changing the amount being risked when betting parlays. Then when it is showing correctly and I click to confirm the wager a red box sometimes appears stating something to the effect that a minimum of 1,0000 mbtc must be wagered.

1. Regarding the cashouts: typically, we cash users out automatically at the end of each day. If we notice that the user had multiple input addresses on their deposits, we will wait for a cashout request to be 100% we are sending to the correct address. We are currently working on improving this system by allowing users to instantly cashout at any time. So for now, just use the support form reference your account # and bitcoin address, and you should be good to go!

2. Regarding the baseball rules: You were correct in saying that the baseball rule #4 is only for playoff games. We are going to edit this rule to make this more obvious.

3. Regarding the bet slip bug: This is the first time we have heard of this. This is a serious issue, as your experience betting is super high on our priority list. I am going to mess around a bit now and see if I can reproduce. I may PM you for details (what web browser etc)? If we can reproduce the issue, we may even give out a small bounty for helping us squash this bug!

Still this is a little confusing to the uninitiated, not the delayed payouts but the late results updates. I hope this is just a design aftertaste of the beta status... ;)
On the plus side I like that a number of the more "esoteric" leagues are included.

Thanks for your feedback; I can confirm that all payouts are done on a daily basis. As for the late results I do apologize; we are working towards making the results appear quicker, and some of the more "esoteric" leagues as you say tend to fall behind on this process.  Even with the delay of status all payments would still be completed at the 24 hour cycle period.

hi i have 2 accounts with bitcoins one is my wifes and the other is mine and they both apperar in blank with anything on it can you please let me know whta is going on these are the urls one had 2.34 bitcoin pending winings and the other had 0.84

Having the same problem, just was trying this book out and my bitcoin account is not coming up with anything but a blank page tonight. Hope it gets fixed soon! Overall I have had a good experience at nitrogen, I imagine they're on top of whatever the issue is.

I would be enjoying too if I know how to select decimal odds in bitcoin-betting mode.

So you need to sign up and log in to select odds type in anonymous mode? That's really weird. Besides It does not work properly, the setting is not persistent, the next day american odds are back (Firefox browser).

I had a ML bet on SoulKey for the Innovation vs SoulKey finals and it's been graded as a loss for me even though SoulKey won.  Maybe you turned the game off once Innovation was up 3-0 at the start?  I know I almost did :)

if I wanted to place a bet, I'm 100% fine with the current system.

Have you thought of expanding your esports betting to LCS for League of Legends and WCS for Starcraft? There are almost no sports betting sites that have esports and I would like to see more sites pick it up if possible. The only other bitcoin site I know of that offers esports betting is bitcoinsports.eu but they have been silent on the esports betting front for the past week.

Heard good reviews on this, so I decided to check it out.

Only deposited 0.01BTC to start with, but was just curious how long it takes to show up?

It's been 20 minutes and still showing a zero balance.

Been making some esports bets on Nitrogen sports lately. Excellent website, solid service. Payouts are a bit slow and can take up to 3 days sometimes, but no big deal. I suspect verifying esports data can take a bit longer as its not very common yet. Keep up the awesome work Nitrogen!

It is definitely something we are still getting adjusted to, as there is no website that compiles official results (such as espn, etc). Also, matches get moved around and cancelled so much, its hard to tell what is going on sometimes.  >:(

I think its worth it though, cause we think esports is gonna be big, and we have a lot of good members that are enjoying it!

Matches do get postponed pretty often which can make tracking them difficult. It's perfectly fine if it takes a bit longer to verify the match data / do payouts. Love the service and I'm sure as the big tournaments start rolling around things should be interesting. The International 3 for DotA in August and League World Championships later in the year. LoLEsports.com is the official source for League matches and the most up to date. JoinDota does a pretty good job for showing the results for all matches, including the Chinese ones. Keep at it, you guys are the only bitcoin sportsbook I found and will definitely stick with you guys.

Any plans to take LTC in the future?

I should have received payment for a parlay 2 days ago, but the sending account hasn't been credited yet. I thought payouts were every night...? How long does it usually take to receive payment? It was from a CampBX account.

I love the site and odds, I just wish the games would get graded a bit faster I have a winner that ended last night at 9pm that still is ungraded.  Other than that these guys are the best bit book on the net.

i bid on sc2 iem sting vs loner (twice) it's the same game is that possible to bid more than once on a game? it shows on my list i bid twice on the same person (same game) will i only get winnings for 1 game and refunded on the 2nd?(same amount of $$) or will i get both winnings.

It seems that withdrawals are not processed during the night if there is still a pending wager for a day in the future. Can this be changed? For example, I have not received any withdrawals since I placed a wager on Monday's CFL game a few days ago. Perhaps it would be better to give users more control over withdrawals overall? I'd like to be able to just hit the withdrawal button and have the funds go back to an account that I used to make a deposit. Also, does the deposit address for each account ever change? Finally, can accounts be locked to a specific address to make withdrawals? Sorry for all the questions, but I think these features would be helpful. Thanks.

We agree with you on all these points.

We have a massive update coming in the September to October timeframe (that we have internally been calling Nitrogen 2.0) that will address all these points.

Streamlining our cashouts is something that is #1 on our list. We also have a lot of other really cool features that we are not ready to give all the details yet!

You can always request a w/d via support email or PM, and we try to be pretty good about making sure it makes it in to that night's w/d's.

We restrict the max of each individual bet to 15BTC to ensure that we are not overexposed, but you are always welcome to place additional bets.

We have 2nd half basketball lines on some leagues, which leagues are you interested in?

WNBA, had a nice hedge/middle spot earlier but was unable to take advantage of it as a halftime line was never posted.

Also, it takes way to long to payout after a game is over, this is for sure costing you action and making it difficult to make you my primary book.
(Say I bet my full balance on a game at 4PM, I win, now I want to bet the 7PM game, I am unable to because I have to wait HOURS to be paid out)

My only other gripe is the lack of control with withdrawals, im confused as to exactly how it works... will I ever be paid if I have pending bets? and exactly how long after all games are resulted should I expect payment?

I will take a look at the 2nd half lines for WNBA. It really depends on our odds providers, as we don't manually set any lines.

Regarding payouts, we pay back to people's wallets nightly, as long as they don't have any game in play. As I was saying a couple posts ago, we are changing the way grading and cashouts work in a few weeks based on everyone's feedback!

Currently your deposit address does not change. A lot of our users will create a new account every time they bet, but obviously this is not required.  8)

Trying to do Soccer Parlays is quite a pain in the butt and it would be easier to just have a huge list of all of the games and not remembering which of the 5000 leagues the particular games are in...

Currently it is up to our odds provider. If they have the 2nd half lines, we will display them, if not then they won't show up.

We have plans to get odds from more than one provider in the future, but for now we are focusing on some major changes for the upcoming football season.

You may want to notify your oddsmaker that the Tampa Bay Rays game is not showing up and the Indians game is showing up twice with different odds.

Please, Please, Please consider adding a withdraw feature for bitcoin users.  The withdraw after each day might work one day then not for the next 3 days, it get really tiresome having to contact support just to withdraw winnings.  If you would add a withdraw feature that works you would easily have the best bitcoin sports site.

Stakes would be returned if the game ended in a push or tie (with no draw wager available and according to rules), if the game was cancelled (did not take place) or if the game was rescheduled (beyond acceptable time according to rules).

Stakes would also be returned if you placed a bet after the match had already begun (ie. the match was already started).

If you believe your particular bet does not fall into the above categories, shoot me a PM or email support with your account information and we can investigate your particular case in more detail.

Well, looks like the match had already started when I bet.
So if I had bet before the match started, it would be accepted, even if the time you listed was inaccurate?
And if I believe I lost my bet on something which already started when I bet, I should contact support?
And last question: withdrawal by bitcoins is manual, meaning I should contact you with my receiving address to withdraw my balance?

That would be the reason why your bet was cancelled. Please note we try to keep all our start times accurate, but at times (especially with e-sports) games schedules can change suddenly and we may have games available which have started, or take games off the board which still have an hour or more before their newly designated start time.

If you bet before the match had started your wager would of course stand regardless of the start time listed on our website, according to the rules. If you believe you lost something which started already then yes you should contact support immediately (support@nitrogensports.com).

Please keep in mind we are trying to offer the community an honest and safe place to play and we hope that players do not try to take advantage of obvious errors. Mistakes do happen, but most of the time it is easy to spot those trying to take advantage. All it does in the end is load up the support team with more work!

Withdraw of bitcoins is automatic every 24 hours, (if you have no pending wagers) it will be sent back to the depositing address. You can also email support at any time to request a withdraw outside of the daily withdraw and they will try to accommodate this. Yes, you can contact support with your receiving address to be sure; it will stay locked with your account for all future withdraws.

Not sure if this is possible, but it would be nice if you could add the same game twice for a parlay.   Sometimes I like to do parlays on the same game for the NFL season, taking a team to win the ML and also betting on the points.

 I really dont know. The only krill I know is sealswithclubs , when you lose or win or whatever when something happens , you gain krills which allows you to play in poker tourneys for free. Thats about all I know about krills.

Currently you can only withdraw through the same method you deposited with. bitcoin-->bitcoin or skrill-->skrill.

We have discussed potentially allowing users to buy bitcoins with skrill, or cashout bitcoins to skrill, but that would essentially make us an exchange, and it is not something we want to get into right now.

Can you add something to the interface to request a cash out? I always have open bets so I never go 24 hours without an open bet to allow a withdrawal. In fact, I'd like it if we could have several different withdrawal options like:

1. Withdraw any available balance as soon as it's available
2. Withdraw custom amounts at will (maybe set a limit to 1 per day)
3. Withdraw entire balance if no bets are open after 24 hours (current behavior)

I would use either option 1 or 2 (2 preferred), but I don't like option 3. I'd rather not have to send a PM each time I want to withdraw (however, I would like some security measure in place so the withdrawal address cannot be changed easily).

Your UI is pretty and you seem to be the only ones that let me do my 6-point teaser bets at the moment, but why do you have to have a deposit system rather than an address generated for each bet slip? Also, why are bitcoin bets denominated in USD? Lastly, why can't I place a bet on the spread and the line in the same game? Would love to see these changes, I'd place at least a couple bets a week during the football season if they were made.

1. Depositing takes about 15 seconds on NitrogenSports (we allow you to bet with zero confirmations) so I am not sure why this is a big deal? You can deposit, create your betslip and submit. Depositing brings with it a bunch of other advantages as well: you get instant feedback that your bet has been accepted, and if you hold a balance, you can then bet via mobile where sending bitcoins to an address is not as easy. Id be curious to hear what advantages the '1 address per betslip' system has.

2. When betting with bitcoins on NitrogenSports 1BTC = 1,000mBTC (it is not in USD)

3. Currently, we have restrictions in place to limit correlated bets, but we agree that we can relax these in some cases (betting over with spread). We will take a look at this.

I admit that the way you make it sound it seems like it shouldn't be a big deal, but what I'm describing is basically the same user experience as buying anything with bitcoin from a company that uses BitPay or Coinbase; at the very least it saves steps, and removes all of this "anything you don't bet will be returned within 24 hours" stuff.

The UI has a dollar sign, so if I understand correctly that dollar sign really = mBTC? So if I wanted to bet 0.3, I'd put in $300?

Wait 24 hours before asking about bets resolving. Personally, that's what I do.

Most of the time we aim to have bets graded within a few minutes. This time there was an issue with the auto-grading and this fell through the cracks. The quickest way to get a hold of us is through email or the support form.

Hey applelover, thanks for the question. We have worked hard on our reputation over the last 8 months where we have been offering bitcoin. Keep in mind that we are an incorporated company that also takes in real money wagers via Skrill.

When we launched our bitcoin offering in March, the price of bitcoin was $50 a pop! Mid April it shot up to $230 (right before it crashed back down again).

We are always excited to see the price of bitcoin rise, as it means there is confidence in the currency. We do realize, however that there will be ups and downs. We hold a large amount of bitcoins in cold storage to mitigate this risk!

Nitrogen Sports is in it for the long haul.

Why is that some of the times transfers to your site are registered within a minute, and now it's taken over 30 minutes and the money still isn't there?

Hi applelover, the way Nitrogen Sports works is when the transaction is broadcast to the network, the funds will show up in your account. Depending on what wallet client/service you are using, there may be delays on their end.

At the current time there is no indication that there are any problems with the site - so far support has been working fine and cashouts are usuallu instant. Personally, I'm enjoying Nitrogen, its lines are better than everyone's (including Bitbook unfortunately).

Hey having problems with the old site? Keep getting this error when loading page - SQLSTATE[08004] [1040] Too many connections. Earlier i depsosited with moneybooker, initially said deposit failed even though the money gone from my account and now my balance shows 8 times what its meant to be?
