What are your thoughts about players and their form?

Some of the major players denied RIO Olympic because of Zika_virus... or just because this Olympic doesn't bring points /for 1st time/.

Will this affect you betting for US Open?

Djokovic lost @ 1st round, very disappointed @ Rio 2016.. Will this give some confidence to Juan Martin del Potro?

Nadal won his 1st Gold Medal on Doubles @ Rio 2016. But lost for Bronze on singles.

And Murray dominated for 1st ever back-to-back Gold Medals! Also he is playing soil land. Do you think he will keep his good form from last few months?

In general I bet a small only Murray to take it, as he is in good form and playing on soil land. For all other bets I will wait to see player forms in first few games and who will pass the qualifications.

Also I will appreciate any advice on Women tennis, as this is my weak zone!

I think Murray or Nadal may win this cup. Murray is in tremendous form now, just a few days back he won a gold medal in Olympics. And Nadal failed to win a Bronze medal he lost his match against the lower rank player. But still, I have hope that he can reach finals in US open. Let's see what happen. Any other guess?

Roger Federer is out with an injury so he won't be playing at this years US Open. I still like Novak Djokovic to win the US Open, forget his Olympic loss as it seemed he was carrying an injury and wasn't 100% right. So I expect him to come back strong here and he should be close to 100% I would like to see his first match and see how he is looking before placing a bet on him to win the US Open. I think Murray will be Novak's main danger, I did like Kei Nishikori in the Olympics he played some great tennis and if he can bring that form here he might be a good bet at odds. I have my doubts about Nadal playing on hard courts but you never know. It's going to be a great tournament and I just hope Nick Kyrgios does well as I am from Australia. He does have the talent to win a major but not sure if it will be this year,maybe next year.

Kyrgios is a complete joke with his attitude and past scandals and doesnt have a place to the top in this sport

Juan Martin del Potro is coming back, hope he can recover his ability and energy of 2009 UP OPEN winner-the healthy Juan Martin del Potro.

IMO I will go for djokovic for outright, 1.9 odds is very high for him. His odds was 1.67 of Australian Open, maybe bookies think djokovic's ability is a little weaker, now the lower odds for outright.

Don't screw yourself to back Djokovic @ 1.9. Even Directbet have it @ 2.08.

i don't know all of them because i was very rarely to watching tennis matches
but for this tournament i would don't mind if someone else share his good predictions at here regarding those matches

It is qualification for low rank players, I don't bet on qualifications cuz we are not familiar with their abilities, the money they earned is much lower than manipulation bonus, therefore match-fixing could be very possible.

I will still give it to Murray just because of my personal likeness towards him and nothing more... I will still bet on him to win the open. Hopefully I wont get disappointed afterall...

I'm not sure about this , every top players can beat each other. 1 week ago , i probably will go for Andy Murray but after i saw how Marin Cilic manage to stop the best form from Andy Murray. It totally change my perspective about the Croatian.  I think Juan Martin Del Potro @ 22 , Milos Raonic @ 21 and Marin Cilic @ 23 will have a chance against the top seeds.

Yeah, that is very strange odds for and I think this would be really hard for him to show something magical into this event, Novak Djokovic is still favorite for this and after this Andy Murray also looking good to give some tough time there, but I will avoid to take risk on Rafael Nadal even odds are so bigger for him.

Tennis is unpredictable, everyone thought murray will easily beat marin cilic cause cilic didn't have good form in 3 slams. But murray got Wimbledon and olympic winner this year. So most ppl lost the bet because the result was so unexpected. Who thought cilic would win?? No one.

That is true tennis is unpredictable and promising players showing outstanding performance against top seeds, I also think Milos Raonic and Marin Cilic can deliver the shocking result this time, so that I also will take risk on both of them as the winner of the event.

Novak Djokovic is having a really bad time and surprising drop of form for a couple of months now. i really dont think he his having the best of   confidence, i wanted to see a new champion crowned this time around. Andy Murray is the clear favorite in my mind as he is in good form .

Aside from his recent defeat to Cilic, Murray is the main man right now form wise. He won Wimbledon & Olympic gold. I have a feeling Djokovic will win this one though.

I think Del Potro @21 is pretty good odds and may surprise a lot of people. He is in good form and he has proven that he can play well at the US Open as he has won this tournament in the past beating Roger Federer. I'll be putting a small amount on him to win. I agree with most people here that Novak is at good odds and I also think he is the one to beat @2.12 on DirectBet.

I don't follow tennis too much but I never heard of Del Potro before. What titles has he won in the past?

I certainly hope that Djokovic can regain form and find championship glory again. He lost to Sam Querrey in Wimbledon earlier this year.

Well as I said Juan Martin Del Potro has won the US Open before way back in 2009 when he defeated Roger Federer. All up he has won 18 career titles and has also won 2 Olympic medals a bronze medal in the London Olympics and Silver in the Rio Olympics where he lost to Andy Murray. So as I said he is in good form leading up to the US Open and has won here before.

I actually like Kerber a lot to win the US Open she has been playing some good tennis this year and currently is in good form leading into the US Open so I will be putting a small stake on her to win @8.60 but I still think Serena Williams @2.44 is the one to beat playing on home court. Yes, now best choice is Murray he is in tremendous form. Recently he won Olympics gold medal. So he is the star player in this tournament. But Djokovic's and Nadal also good players but they are maintaining consistency in their form. Djokovic is ok he has capability to win this cup but Nadal I think he will not even reach finals.

Olympics isn't a good form guide leading into a Grand Slam as most players don't worry too much about the Olympics. Before that in Grand Slams she has been playing good tennis so that's what I'm going by. I agree that Monica Puig is at good odds @30 and will most likely get far into the tournament but a Grand Slam is much tougher then an Olympics.

Del Potro is looking pretty good at the moment and is getting back to the form that helped him win the US Open in 2009 when he defeated Roger Federer in the final. He has suffered with a wrist injury which has kept him out of tennis for a while now but it looks like he has come back in good shape and may give the top players a good run for there money. I did mention that Del Potro was a good bet to put on at the start as I liked his lead up form to the US Open.

True , I thought he cannot play well again after his return but he still has the same forehand and same aggressive play . Its very hard to win the US Open for him , but I think semi finals is confirmed to place your bets .

Novack Djokovic is having a very good time,at the moment. i guess he will win the tournament this time around since all of his opponents are retiring due to injury,first it was Vesely and now Youzhny.

I remember betting on Radiwaza(sp?) and her opponent got hurt during the last set. My bet was pending but I did not check to see if it was settle as a win or not.

He needs match play and the intensity of a match to get into his rhythm, get into the zone, and feel the ball.

I put lot of trust on Marin Cilic, he just beat Andy Murray in Cincinnati but can't even beat Jack Sock in gradslam. Cilic didn't ever get a single break point, not even close to a break. The home support certainly done a good job to effect Cilic performance. The atmosphere in the court are almost on the USA side.
There still a tough draw in the final road for Djokovic if Nadal or Monfils get through.

Novak had 2 easy games, one was retired without a game, the other was retired just played 6 games. He is now very energetic to play against remaining players, he will be the winner easily.

Thiem is an easy pick, Del Potro vs Ferrer, inresting game, I will fo gor Ferrer.  And I will go for Karlovic.

Del Potro for now have a lead of 2:0 in sets and going for 3rd and victory...Donaldson is in awesome form so there will be a lot of gems, maybe 5 sets

I wish that Del Potro beats him because Ferrer made me lose alot of money the other day without getting straight sets. That was a disaster of a game and it shows that he is getting old and the other players are better than he is now.

Del Potro won easily in the end and as I have been saying he is in fine form and is a big danger to winner this US Open. He has already beaten some quality players and his next match with Thiem will be another quality opponent. Del Potro is now paying $10 on DirectBet to win the US Open when he was paying $21 at the start of the tournament and I did put a small amount on Del Potro to win the US Open @21 so I'm hoping he can.

It is good for him if the other players retire because then he does not have to play that hard in the end games. So he rests himself for the next match that really matters. So this is his advantage then if they all just fall before finishing a match.  :)

Lucas Pouille (+9 Games) vs Rafael Nadal. I pick Lucas +9 games - 1.612

 I will agree with Tsonga pick, but Nadal, i have some feeling that he will destroy Pouille

Yes I agree it was a surprise Nadal loosing as he has been playing some great tennis. It does now look like it will be Murray and Djokovic final but I still think some of the other players can cause an upset like Del Potro and Nishikori as they have also been playing some great tennis. Djokovic in my opinion has had the easier draw so if it does come down to Murray and Djokovic I think Novak will win. But I am hoping Del Potro can win because I have money on him from the start.

Another upset of the day in the form of Nadal, Madison key and Johanna Konta, Lucas Pouille played a brilliant game fifth set and took the game away from Rafael Nadal . meanwhile Konta was not in the best of form in the court against Sevastova.

Not  only 5th set  , he played extremely well throughout the match . I don't think anybody would have expected this type of extra ordinary performance by 22 year old Frenchman . His forehand , backhand and serves were untouchable . Nadal gave a good fight , the fifth set was epic , breaks , holds and Pouille breaks again to even the match and then tie breaker , great defense by nadal he managed to save three match points and then gave it away . Pouille deserves the win but its really sad to see Nadal walk away in 4th round.

My today's picks are: Thiem, Nishikori, Murray and wawrinka. Check my tips thread to get more surprises.

Thiem retired due to an injury. Del Potro easily went through without playing much tennis.
Anyway. what I really about is today matches between Nishikori vs Karlovic and Dimitrov vs Andy Murray. The record from both Karlovic and Dimitrov against their favor opponent isn't bad, they did not get dominated from the past. So probably each one of the underdog will at least win a set.

Personally I'm rooting for Djokovic to win this tournament, He seems to be the most consistent and high-class tennis player among the current generation, without Fed I think no other player will be much of a competition.

Nice picks. But I am very sad because Nadal is not there on this list. Anyway according to your picks 3 picks are expected. Djokovic, Potro and Murray, these players are icon players in this tournament and 90% they will reach semis. But the question is the 4th player who is he? Pouille or  Monfils? My guess is Pouille.

I don't think Del Potro will defeat wawrinka, wawrinka is playing well on hard court, I prefer wawrinka. Del Potro's form is back, but still not easy to defeat wawrinka.

Novak Djokovic has had an easy run heading into the semi finals lol but sometimes that can work against him as he has not had much game time and hasn't been pushed hard where as the other players have and are ready to take on the next challenge. I'm not saying Novak isn't ready but sometimes by not playing much tennis can work against the player. And we never know Monfils may upset Novak and win. Can't wait for tomorrow's match's as I think Del Potro and Nishikori both have good chances at beating the favorites.

I was disappointing to see Rafa Nadal losing against Lucas Pouille, which has recently lost against Gael Monfils, and this guy has not been in a big finals since 2008.

I still think Rafa will come back eventually and retire as number one, he still has some big wins before he starts going downhill due aging and too much stress due the effort needed to play at elite level.

if you watched the match,Murray was very much irritated during the match,when the roof closed he was complaining about the sound that is emerging,one time he was irritated because a butterfly was flying in front of him  ;D,all these events made him loose his focus,if you look,before these events happening he was playing in top form, when his emotions got the better of him,he could not play at his best.

I have to agree that Serena Williams era is over as new young players are starting to come through and be competitive against her. She could still win a Grand Slam here and there but Serena's dominance is certainly over now. The same with Nadal and Federer, there dominance has been over for a couple of years now and now it's Murray and Djokovic.

Williams is 34 years old now, her era is almost over, maybe she can't win a Grand Slam in next year. Like Federer didn't win a Grand Slam since 2012.

Murray's dominance didnt work against Kei Nishikori, he is mentally drained with all the matches he played in the past few months without any major rest  :) You cant count Serena Williams out,she is just a dominant player and strong one if she is injury free.Age is not a hurdle for serena. Novak was just simply too good for Monfils and is now into the final. In the other match between Wawrinka v Nishikori it's been a tough battle with both guys winning a set each. Right now either one can win and it's hard to pick a winner but I would like the see Nishikori win.

Yup countdown starts for next fantastic final match. Everyone is expecting Djokovic to win this game, but I am expecting some unexpected result. Yes, the odds also good for Wawrinka and Djokovic is suffering from some minor injury, so I think Wawrinka have a chance to win this match.

I do agree with that assumption on this finals match today with him suffering from his shoulder as it showed at the end of the match.

It has already started. So far it has been a balanced game. Wawrinka got an early break but Djokovic has already recovered.

I agree with you and it's not just the final that will probably be "easy", all the tournament was easy for him. On the last 6 games, he almost only played three, since he had a walkover and 2 retirements. It's going to be a close match between the two of them and as I said a page back I would not be surprised if it goes to 5 sets. It's looking like it could now with both players on 1 set each and Wawrinka currently winning the 3rd set but Novak is putting up a fight as he doesn't want to go 2 sets down.

Yes.... I was starting to get worried there for a minute. When Stan W. was up 3-0 in the 3rd set. Now DJokovic has rallied back to get to 4-4 and back in form now. The odds at that point was Novak at 1.95 to win. :-X
It just might go to 5th set the way this is going back and forth. The highest amount of shots in a rally was 29 so far. :D

Novak Djokovic is behind in sets in the US finals,Wawrinka is playing in good form and he is leading with two set to one at the moment.I doubt whether this would be the decider .If this is Djokovic's day Warninka will retire with an injury. :P

Looks as though Wawrinka is going to win as he is leading 2 sets to 1 and is leading in the 4th set 4-2 and is now on serve leading 40-0 and if he wins this game I think he will go on to win the final.

Looks like Djokovic has the injury to his toes. They are wrapped in bandages and has to have medical attention during the break.

It's over Wawrinka wins the US Open, a big congrats to Wawrinka on winning his 3rd Grand Slam title. And now he has won 3 of the 4 Grand Slam titles, just missing the Wimbledon title which I think he can win. It was a great match but Wawrinka was just too good for Novak on the day.

People seems to be underestimating wawrinka and the fans in the court keep on yelling novak all the way until wawrinka lead the game. It was a great game and wawrinka turn the odds against him, it was unexpected for him to happen but he did win so apart from rumours that novak was injured is not relevant anymore

it was another under dog of the league who wins the tittle same with womens finals as many favors williams and novak but in the end another players win congrats to both women and men champs you deserved both what you get respect and glory.

I think After winning first set many gamblers placed a bet to Djokovic, but it's their bad luck. And congratulation to Wawrinka. What a twist after the first set. I never expected after first set Wawrinka will bounce back like this. It was a superb match and more entertaining. I think this result was shocked too many gamblers. Yes in both Men and Women we got unexpected champions. Congratulation both of them.

he deserved the win as he show to the world that he is really a champion big wins for those who entrusted him and let the book house loses a lot as they gave novak a big odds to attract gamblers, sorry for the lose to those who still believes for novak.

both players showed good performance but still wawrinka was better was it due that novak got injured or he showed that he is in top form

The Novak easily reached finals without big risk because of opponent players injury. But he is also suffering from some injury then also he played superbly at one point of the time I thought he might win this cup. But after first had set the game was changed, Wawrinka used all his experience and finally lifted the Cup. Congratulation Wawrinka.
