You should only quit gambling if it supposes a real problem for you. If you can control your gambling impulses then you can enjoy gambling as an sporadically form of enjoyment and fun and not as a problem that will ruin you.

As a biology student here i want to disagree with you. Because when it comes to start playing gambling than YES! You can control your brain, That NO i dont want to play. But when you strated playing and make a bet than no one control it to comes under the stress attack. Because your brain started thinking what could be the reults? Win lose, win lose, win lose? This is called stress which cause chronic problem to your brain like forgetting and emotional problems, production of new brain cell and most importantly free radicals that kill the brain cells, depression etc.

I don't see any bad reaction from my brain when I am gambling honestly. Should I get worried as maybe this is one of the signs of addiction ? I do my research before I place my bets and today I won a parlay bet with 3 games which made me feel really good and my heart was happy and so was my brain. I don't bet uncontrollably even when I am losing. I have my objectives clear in my head what I want to achieve with gambling (only sports betting I play).

That being said it seems like you don't really care if you win or lose those bets so they can not be for a large sum of money or bitcoins that you put down on them for the risk of winning some on top of that.
Which matches did you bet on that you won today if you don't mind me asking. Were they sure things or did you bet on the team with the highest odds? People who do that have a bad reaction on their brain while the game is in progress because they know they have a lot on the line and too lose. :-[

if it really effect your life badly then you should really leave it, but i think it is too easy to say and too difficult to do practically, to me the best option is to make a strategy for gambling, you should also fix a limit for your gambling and then not to cross that limit.

Yes I think for some it would be a good outcome but  its also depending on how you are looking towards gambling itself if you are asking me, I only gamble for the enjoyment not for the money.

i think its a good advice, addiction to gambling is a very serious problem, if any of you have it, then i suggest to look for help and stop gambling, its okay to gamble as long as it still in a normal portion, and you play it for fun, and when you lose you need to control yourself to stop it

this is very true but also this is not happening to everybody. many people are only gambling for fun and you don't need to lose a lot to have fun, you can do it with much smaller amounts.

also you can still be creative and make different strategies, especially in some of the games that need some thinking like card games.

I think that is just to much. I agree with you, but those bad side effects from gambling only happen when you are addicted to it, and they are somehow related to any addition and not just gambling. So yes, if gambling is harming your life in any way, all your information makes perfect sense and you should quite, but if it is not really doing harm to your life in any way, that means that you are not using to much time for it, and you are using it just like any healthy hobby you have and gives you some sort of pleasure and I don't see any harm in that.

For me it depends to the gambler, if you are a responsible gambler and you are not forgetting your duties and responsibilities like your family and job. Then you can just gamble in able to remove your stress but if you are going to get attached with gambling and going to make it part of your life then that is already a syndrome and you must really quit with it.

I agree with pereira4 you should quit gambling if you are just gaining nothing with it. Even though you are going to treat gambling as entertainment.

Still if that is not giving you anymore enjoyment then you should start to stay away from there already.

Hmmm... Gambling is has high risk and need strategy for play it, i think depend on to gamblers its self. if gamblers can not control their money,emotion more wise quit play gambling and start new life without gambling.

Seems hard to start a new life and quit gambling especially desperate here . It depends on the person. Some people cannot really stand losses and they get desperate about losing money. One things lead to another and these persons starts to show signs of forgetfulness , signs of depression and feeling sad without any reason. If such is the case, they should stop gambling immediately.

Other persons who remove a part of their money as a bankroll for gambling monthly don't get these symptoms. Usually these are persons who follow tipsters and they don't care if they win or lose but if they win for sure they are happy.

Well that is really hard to do if you want to get back your losses with gambling. I agree that we all have to do that. We have to quit gambling and start doing something else. We can spend the money and time we use to gamble on our hobbies or creative projects. Gambling is like a prostitute. It can give pleasure but also demands money for it. And we may also catch a disease (gamling addiction). The worst thing is that there are no condoms here.

Yes, way better if you quit from gambling. Because so many dangerous thing if you get addoction. But as long as you can control yourself,  as long as you can control your emotion, just do what you want.

I think you're right. Yes, it is in some cases, especially for those who are really addicted, those who can't control themselves can't live without gambling (I mean people who doesn't want the day passed without playing regardless of what they loss). Maybe you need a Gambling Counselor/Gambling Addiction Therapist already if that's the case because you want to change, but you can't help but play. You need to make a way before it also affects your social life, relationships or career.

it is all about self control and i don't really understand why people keep saying gambling addiction. i have been gambling and i have all my finances under strict control and i have never been addicted to anything.

i also find it easy to do all this and there is no point in quitting something that i enjoy.

i know that i sound like someone in denial but looking back at my stats, like the amount of money that i have spent on the casinos and the amount that i have earned after all this time i feel i am in a good place.

I think this would depend on your situation. If you're making good amount of money out of gambling, then why should you quit, right? You will know that you have to quit gambling once you notice a lot of loss of money in your bank account. In that case, gambling isn't helpful to you anymore and you should quit it right away. It might be hard at first but with the help of the people around you, you will improve little by little.

I am agree with you, if we have a big amount and we have no problem to use the money in gambling, than definitely we have no problem to quit the gambling. Quit gambling? i think it is only for those people who has a problem with gambling, i mean who become addicted person, than they should left it and start a new life. I am gambling on regular basis on different sports events but believe after 4 years of gambling activities still all is well for me. Gambling is part of life to learn and earn different things.

We can not apply anything generally as everything has different situation. Gambling has no exception some people are playing for entertainment and fun whereas some getting living out of gambling. When you see something is not working for you including gambling should quit. I don't feel need of having any change in my life so I will keep continuing with gambling like before. Yes, i was very addicted to gambling, after i lost my salary, i quit it forever. No more gambling any more, maybe just bet a few.

The problem is who really needs to quit gambling they are not ready to do so. i think it depend on the nature of the person, as i am not playing gambling as we have no such facilities for girls gambling, but perhaps i was playing gambling i would never quit it as it will be an essential part of my life and i will like to continue it but in a limit and not out of limit.

We all know gambling is not good and it has bad consequences most of the times. If you play limited gambling and stick to your plan and have self control to not keep playing in case of loosing it isn't bad.
