Is this the wrong forum?  I don't come here often... please let me know if it is.
Maybe move it to goods? That's the best alternative I can see.

I'm wondering what cards like this are going for with the current pokemon Go craze.  Any idea on your asking price?

I'd buy them all for 0.05BTC(not incl. shipping) without further research as one of my nephews would love these.   :)

I do not know much about Pokemon cards in general, but I am a happy reseller. How much do you want for just the foily Charizard?

I don't think the Pokemon Go craze has done much to the price of these cards.  I will say though, certain cards here are worth well over 0.05 BTC.  Check out the Wizard Pikachu.  The Charizard, last I checked, was worth quite a bit.

Also, some cards are still in their plastic wrap from the movies I went to.  eBay tells me they're worth a pretty penny.

Anyway, I have a very general idea of what these are worth, but I'd be more inclined to give prices on a card-by-card basis.  It's a pretty neat set of cards.

So, my offer of 0.05btc was not satisfactory?  I didn't see any numbers in your follow up post that you would accept and I wasn't inclined to click through to see what others were selling cards for.

I'd appreciate if you would post a price which you'd be willing to accept as I'm not willing to research them and if you want to keep the "special" cards so the price can be lower that's fine with me.  I have no sentimental attachment to your cards and can only state I think that my offer was more than acceptable for a lot of old cards with probably a $20-30 shipping charge on top of that I'd think.

If you aren't willing to post a price here I'd recommend selling them on another outlet.  ;)

Op... You can also start an auction for your pokemon cards and let the general public determine the price.

Personally, I don't know and don't care much about Pokemon stuff and don't even play Pokemon go game at all ( I think it a big waste of time) but my little niece watch Pokemon on Netflix so I learned a little from her. Wanted to buy some cards for gift to her.

I also think that you should start an auction and try to group up cards by rarity. This makes it much easier for collectors that aren't invested in this particular area do their research and places bids. I also highly suggested posting the names of the cards per lot on auction. It would make it much easier to do research conveniently.

I'd bid if there was an auction or starting price

I might list individually and post them here.
To those wondering about the price - I listed my conditions pretty clearly in the OP.  Send me your offers.  0.05 BTC is a low-ball offer and I am not about to research each card and spend my time counter-offering a low-baller, so hopefully you understand that.  I understand that you don't care about my sentimentality, but likewise, I don't care that your nephew may like these cards.  If someone actually offers something more meaningful, I would be willing to reciprocate that offer with researching, or possibly accepting.

Also, I will not be factoring sentimentality into the price I have in mind for these.   :P

It is really hard to make an appropriate offer without knowing what I'm actually able to buy here. The pictures make it hard to analyze the whole lot. A full list of card names would definitely be helpful. That is likely going to result in much higher offers.

If seller can provide a full list of the cards being sold, or maybe just a starting point based on the approximate value of all the cards then people will know where they can start their offers at. Without such details it's difficult for anyone to not lowball you because they don't know where you want to start.

PErsonally I am genuinely interested in this since I am a collector. I am interested in buying any First Edition cards if you have any, and any holographic rares. If you have a price in mind for this please let me know and also the cards included in such selection.

Nice thanks I'll also be interested in buying shadowless cards in near mint condition.

Thank you for doing that! I'm not an expert on trading these cards, but if you want to auction them maybe you should group them in lots by rarity (e.g. shadow-less cards, and then by sets or something).

Nice thanks I'll also be interested in buying shadowless cards in near mint condition.
I would also be interested in doing this, so it may be worth auctioning them off (as also mentioned above).

I'm basing this on his previous replies where he's stating a couple of the cards are ultra rares/worth $100's on ebay:

Also, some cards are still in their plastic wrap from the movies I went to.  eBay tells me they're worth a pretty penny.

Anyway, I have a very general idea of what these are worth, but I'd be more inclined to give prices on a card-by-card basis.  It's a pretty neat set of cards.

e.g of some of my rarer cards (I think):

I think the OP is clear, send me an offer for the card you're interested in.  If you need a Diglett to complete your set, I'm not going to price it the same as if you want my Wizard Pikachu which costs > $100 USD, right?  I spent the time taking pictures of the cards, if you want me to give you a price, offer me something more than a 12-pack of Snickers and I might spend some time pricing something for you.  If you don't like my style of negotiating, feel free to purchase your cards from your cheap yard sale.

He's looking for $1000-1500 at least for the set of cards I'd believe.  It would be quite easy to come out and tell the users of this forum what you are looking for instead of beating around the bush and making people guess/possibly lowball you.  If you would have started out with saying you believe your set is worth $1000+ I would have never offered you 0.05BTC

I will definitely pass on the cards for those valuations but it's a heads up for anyone who's interested in these for kids as he's selling them to the hardcore diehard pokemon card collector crowd.   ;)

I'm not looking for $1000-$1500, I was just trying to demonstrate to you that some of the individual cards in this set are worth more than your offer of 0.05 - that's all.

I'm glad you were able to get a price set you would accept for the lot.  :)

The sad news is that I couldn't purchase them for that price and feel good about giving them to a youngster that would most likely destroy/lose them.  I didn't state it before as I thought you wanted a large amount, but my maximum for that aspect would be around 0.15BTC.  I appreciate your time to get the pictures and information, I'm sure someone would love to pick this set up.

It looks like a good price for resale if the cards values are really that high.

I think so.  I've seen lots of people auction their stuff here.

Definitely, if you want to turn this thread into an auction I would rename the title of the OP with [AUCTION] instead of [WTS] and update the OP verbiage as needed.

Are auctions permitted here?

You can post auctions in the dedicated auctions section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=73.0

You can also post them in the collectibles section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0

The difference is that comments/bids in the auction section cannot be altered / edited.

Thanks

Thanks guys.
I have one user who inquired - if that falls through, keep your eyes peeled in the Auction forum.
