Title: XMR Monero Pool xmr.suprnova.cc MPOS Based PPLNS
Post by: ocminer on October 03, 2016, 05:29:44 PM
Hey folks,

I've added an XMR Monero Pool:

https://xmr.suprnova.cc

PPLNS Payout scheme
1 % fee
Nicehash compatible
Single Sign On
etc..

It has already been tested, several Blocks have been found and estimates should be fine too.

Let me know if you need anything or if you see any bugs.

Thanks and happy mining !

oc

Hi, oc  :)
Which one is the closest to xmr.suprnova.cc? nicehash or westhash?

Hi, oc  :)
Which one is the closest to xmr.suprnova.cc? nicehash or westhash?

Both are good and well tested, just use the cheapest

Ok, thanks.
I'll throw some hash to the pool.
Wish me luck  :)

So when it will be open? Claymore's miner support your pool?

Pool is open, claymore needs to add workernames as username, not only wallet addresses, i hope he'll be doing that soon.

Can I mine directly to an exchange on your pool?

Only if you can deposit into that exchange without "payment id", otherwise you'd have to mine into your account and withdraw later

Hi ocminer,

Any chance of opening up a US/Canada eastern SSL server? I'm getting response times of ~150ms vs ~10-15ms on dwarfpool.

Claymore 9.7 is now working fine with SSL on the pool:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=638915.0

Integrated Addresses work for payout now too.

US node is currently syncing and will be up soon.

You can use normal wallet addresses, 95 char long and integrated payment id addresses which are 106 chars long .

Payments with "normal" address and payment ID I'm currently working on, should be available by the end of the weekend or so.

Hmm, are we talking about the same pool ? There are 171 workers active and we're waiting for the round to finish to find a block. We have about 1 MH/s currently from a whopping 51 MH/s of the network, so it'll take some time to find a block.

as soon as the block has been found - you'll have earnings for that block in your unconfirmed balance. I hope we'll have some lucky rounds after the current round as well.

Gottcha.. last night when I joined with my 17 Kh/s I remember seeing 2+ Mh/s for the pool that's why I was wondering.. I rank #9 right now.

2nd U.S server (west coast ideally), but to honest, as long as you have good DDOS protection, you'll keep a large chunk of miners. dwarf, minergate, moneropool-fr have had issues in the past few days along with others. dwarf was my go to but over 4000 ms response times and the constant disconnects and connects can't be tolerated for a 2% fee.

Also would like to see withdrawals direct to exchanges.

Kudos to having a server where you can actually see individual worker stats. Keep up the great work!

having same issue with low difficulty on a few workers that are hashing over 4k. Worst part is that worker gets banned even though the server is still accepting work for suprnova.

On top of that, when the worker gets banned, it doesn't send an email of an idle worker. Tested by taking a worker not banned offline and still no email 1 hour later. Block emails come in just fine.

Edit. Low difficulty issue solved for me by using xmr and not xmr-us where issue existed. I'll test xmr-us. again tomorrow if xmr. remains stable.

Email notifications for idle workers seem still to not be working.

Edit2. Low difficulty share is only occuring during a DevFee (claymore) event and very rarely. But enough for occasional banning.

Low difficulty means invalid work,  that can happen with some overclocking settings.

Banning should not happen at all unless you send ONLY invalid shares for a certain amount of time.

I'll check banning again though.

I've also been IP banned. For no apparent reason, rejects shot up to about 33% on all rigs which is (I assume) why I was banned. Rigs are 100% stable on any algo for weeks on end, and before this happened I was sitting at 0.01% rejected according to ethman across all rigs.

Unfortunately, I've had to switch back to dwarf for the time being. Let me know when you've solved the issue and I'll be back.

I'd say I'm at 80%... Some checks need to be implemented that users don't enter false payments ids or no id at all. Also the id has to be removed when the user changes to a kraken address with integrated ID etc..  It's not as easy as thought first, but I'm pretty far already

I've just restarted the stratum because of the nicehash fix so that should have caused a small disconnect but that was all, nothing else should have happened and your workers should be working again.

It's because the HF. Tx sizes went up, so someone has to pay for increased size. Other pools has 2% fee they can afford to pay it.

2% from anything more than 3.5 xmr is less profitable than 0.07 xmr.
Also, fees will come down with the time, because block size will be larger and will be no penalty for pool operator to put txs for miners into the block. However it will take some time.

I'll reduce the withdrawal fees once the network reduces them, I just had to set them accordingly to the network as already several withdrawals were made with 0.01 fee but i've paid way more since the hardfork.

Best would probably be to discuss this issue direct with the Monero devs in their topic:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg17469638#new

As the fee doesn't come from the pool, it comes from the coin.

Noticed unit error on the main pools page

https://www.suprnova.cc/

for XMR pool it list

Cryptonight   409   2.36 H/s   55.37 H/s

Where it should be

Cryptonight   409   2.36 KH/s   55.37 MH/s

Could potentially drive away eager miners that could believe the pool is dead if they don't click to go on the pool page by itself

Also noticed for ZCL, the unit given by the API for hashrate is x1000 the hashrate, can this be fixed ? :)

Thx & Cheers.

Any update?

With mymonero.com being offline which could be long term (hours turned into days and the core dev isn't working on it currently) and Jaxx not supporting mining addresses without the occasional crash (they warn against using their wallet for mining), mining to an exchange is really the only choice for monero.

I indeed found a bug where some unintended ip banning on stratum happened in case you've used claymore over ssl.

Fixed now!

17 seconds later and the problem is solved.  ;D I'm back.

How is the payment address + ID coming along?

I'd say I'm at 80%... Some checks need to be implemented that users don't enter false payments ids or no id at all. Also the id has to be removed when the user changes to a kraken address with integrated ID etc..  It's not as easy as thought first, but I'm pretty far already

Any update?

With mymonero.com being offline which could be long term (hours turned into days and the core dev isn't working on it currently) and Jaxx not supporting mining addresses without the occasional crash (they warn against using their wallet for mining), mining to an exchange is really the only choice for monero.

90% - yesterday first tests with payment ID's where sucessful, i'll start integrating them into the WebGUI today.

If you like, send me your Payment address & Payment ID from Polo and we can test

Okay, you can now enter payment ID's for Bittrex and Poloniex on the Pool:

Please be a bit careful at first and only transfer small amounts, i've did some testing and all was good but i'd consider it beta for now.

I've noticed some users are now trying to enter Kraken Addresses with integrated payment IDs as well as separate Payment IDs: This is not possible, the payment won't go through.

Either you use a separate payment ID and a "normal" monero wallet address or:
A kraken address with integrated payment id (4gDoN....)
A normal wallet address without payment ID at all.

You can delete your payment ID by removing it from the field in your account settings and saving that.

I was thinking to avoid confusion maybe having a drop down menu or radio buttons

You could have something like

  • Normal Wallet (Wallet Adress)
  • Exchange Wallet (Wallet Adress and Payment ID)
  • Kraken Wallet (Unified Wallet + ID adress

that will change the account area depending on what wallet type you choose ?

Uh I'm quite busy with testing a new payout scheme on a separate pool currently but maybe after that i'll look into it. Currently nothing is "lost", the payment is just stuck and people usually message me if they see something isn't going through so I can just check if they have a payment ID set and tell them to remove it when they're using a Kraken address as well... Or maybe I'll just colour the Payment ID field in RED when a Kraken Address is detected.. Something like that..

Yes of course, just spurting some ideas, im not getting confused  ;D You could also check the lenght of the adress yeah, a kraken one is longer than a normal one.

Hi !

No, you'd have to use your username.worker combination for now. As far as I know Claymore has updates his miner to use usernames as well, so they should be working fine.

I can add wallet mining too, let me know if it doesn't work with usernames, i'm not 100% sure.

Ah I think i've found the problem, the load balancer is not properly forwarding the SSL requests, the "normal" requests are fine and all my miners are connected via normal connections, that's why I didn't see the problem for my self.

I'll find a way to workaround the SSL stuff..

Hmm, I'm not 100% sure if I understand the question correctly..

You can enter the payout address simply in "My Account -> Edit Account" .. And also the earnings can be simply checked in "My Account -> Earnings" or "My Account -> Transactions"

Sorry mining with such long addresses is not fully implemented yet, you need to use a workername

I'm mining on my own pool and I also withdraw to polo.

even if you send a payment without payment id to polo, just send them the TXID and the exact amount of your payment and they can still credit the amount to your account - since it's been transferred to their account...

There are three checks in the pool software that sending to polo's address is impossible without payment id, first when entering the address, the second when verifying the address and the last when sending to that address.. I doubt it was really sent without polo payment id.. IMHO those ring-ct's have problems sometimes since XMR updated / forked.

Chainradar shows NO payment ID (I PM'd you the details)
Poloniex said it was sent with NO payment ID and they are forwarding to another department to see if they will credit me or not. 48 hours later, no credit yet.

I believe you when you say there are checks in place. Previous payments went through without an issue. I was one of the first to beta test this but this last transaction failed. Having to waste all this time to chase it up, and still no funds, still waiting, something is still broken somewhere.

Non integrated payment ID's where IMHO a stupid idea to start with.

US node. Seems fine today, but yesterday there were a few periods where there was nothing but rejects across all rigs. I just checked a rig that's on it's 6th day of uptime and all 7 GPUs are sitting at 1% rejects because of yesterday.

It's still happening. At this point I've burned a whole lot of kilowatts on rejected shares and lost a bunch of revenue so I'm going to have to change pools.

That said, your pools are my favourite. If you figure out what is wrong with the pool eventually, let me know and I'll switch back over to suprnova.

Decided to try the non US node instead of switching and so far so good. Issue seems to be with US node.

Looks like you copied a bat file from the equihash miner. The flags in NsGpuCNMiner are a little different... use this instead:

NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+ssl://xmr-us.suprnova.cc:5221 -u WebLogin.Worker -p x

Hi OCMiner, I sent this message through my Suprnova account but never got a response - please can you help?

Hi I setup a mining contract on NiceHash and pointed to your pool, but inside my account is still showing 0 H/s?

What is not working?

As soon as the network confirms it - it's not dependant on the pool but the Monero network.. Difficulty is extremely high and therefore the chain is unfortunately moving very slow

I just noticed the pool is on a fork - i'm resyncing

There is no limitation, but you can also point multiple physical machines to one worker account - no need to create thousands :)

BTW: The pool is now fully operational again

Dear ocminer,

A while ago I decided to increase my minimum payout to 0.5 XMR in your pool. Since I have reached a confirmed balance of 0.5868 I still haven't received any payout. I tried to do a manual payout, I tried reducing my minimum payout to 0.1 XMR and request a manual payout again but it says that I already have an active payout but it never gets paid. Please fix this ocminer.

My account on Suprnova.cc is zepanizeppos@gmail.com with username ZepaniZeppos

I love your pool btw :)

Thanks in advance

Hey Guys,

I just starting mining - its doing  1703 ms ( i think that is  mh/s) i could be wrong

SO my questions is i may have set up the miner incorrectly

I set up my wallet ID at mymonero.com

Then I followed this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwVih7s7aIo

all i had to do was  copy paste my  new  MONERO wallet add  from mymonero.com  and save it

and i just double clicked and I  was mining monero (super simple)

so my question is i have not set up any workers and user name or payment id

I have been mining for a few days and I have not seen any  monero go to my wallet ?

I do not even see how much i have mined..

I may have messed up ...

any help navigating my concern would be great !!!

I dont wont to mine if i can not get rewarded  thanks !

It's been 6 days since I hit my XMR auto payout threshold and still haven't received payment. My account is Lateralus23, I haven't changed anything since the last payment which went perfectly fine. What's going on?

The auto payment was activated, but the transaction has no TX # next to it and nothing showed up in my wallet.

Hello there! I'm new to Monero, just wanted to try CPU mining... I mined on single 300 H/s CPU for about 20 hours (I know it's small hashrate, but enough for experiment), but my "Confirmed" balance did not increased, "Unconfirmed" balance shows 0, and "Round earnings est" shows 0.0041 XMR. Is this delay normal or something wrong here? When I'll be able to see some income progress? Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I have sent a message through the contact form in Suprnova yesterday but I still haven't received a reply. I'm sure the staff must be buisy, maybe someone here can help me as well. Since 2 days ago I am experiencing a problem with xmr.suprnova.cc, and I want to know if other ppl are having it too.
I bought a good amount of hashing power to mine xmr on suprnova. the hashing ended 2 nights ago and I had a good round earnings estimate. After some time the round progress counter started going above 100% and my round earning estimate has been progressively decreasing. At the time I'm writing the round progress counter is at 237% and my earning estimate has decreased of approximately 60%. The more time passes, the more that counter goes up and the less my earning estimate.
It seems ulikely that the round is still in progress and that people are still submitting shares, as it would mean that the difficulty of this round has more than doubled. Such an abrupt increase seems unlikely.
Do you have any idea on what is going on? Anyone else experiencing this?

Thank you

my bat for xmrig
Code:
xmrig.exe -o xmr-eu.suprnova.cc:5222 -u user.worker -p psw --donate-level=2 --cpu-priority 2 -k

You can try xmr.suprnova.cc:5222 - it's a failover server

I am trying to run CPU miner with this command:
Code:
NsCpuCNMiner64.exe -o stratum+tcp://xmr-eu.suprnova.cc:5221 -u myUser.myWorker -p x

and it gives error:
Code:
Wrong wallet address myUser.myWorker - XMR/QCN/BCN/FCN/Aeon/Duck/Dash/OEC/MCN/ORION addresses are supported only.

How do I mine with CPU?

Also I would like to withdraw to Poloniex. Where do I find its Payment ID? I only see Monero deposit address, which is not accepted as payment ID.

I believe you have to use a recent version of the CPU miner which also supports Username.Workernames - instead of only wallet addresses.

For Polo you don't need a payment ID, they have addresses with integrated payment ID's nowadays.

Thanks for the reply. Can you recommend recent CPU miner? I have downloaded Claymore.CryptoNote.CPU.Miner.v3.5.Beta.-.POOL as mentioned in some XMR mining thread.

Hey ocminer,

XMR-EU.Suprnova.cc port 5222 is DOWN.

Your pool also lost a lot of hashrate!

Really?

Try this http://ping.eu/port-chk/ (http://ping.eu/port-chk/)

Type xmr-eu.suprnova.cc and port 5222. It will say that port is CLOSED.

If you type xmr.suprnova.cc and port 5222 (Non-EU) It will say that the port is OPEN

So the EU version doesn't work?

Hello,
I have sent a message through the contact form in Suprnova yesterday but I still haven't received a reply.

Thank you

Percentage has nothing to do with difficulty.
It's about luck.

100% means average luck.
More than 100% means that luck is below average
Less than 100% means that luck is above average

Hello ocminer,

I am here to report the frequent downtime of the pools stratum xmr-eu.suprnova.cc port 5222.

Some of my mining machines use the stratum xmr.suprnova.cc with port 5222 which work fine mostly.

Then when I perform a portscan when this happens on xmr-eu.suprnova.cc port 5222 it says that the port is CLOSED

When it works again it says that the port is open. I use a online website (https://ping.eu/port-chk (https://ping.eu/port-chk)) and my own tool on my local pc to test this to it isn't my connection that is the problem

This is mysterious isn't it  ???

When this happens the pool also loses a lot of hashrate. Since xmr-eu.suprnova.cc port 5222 is the first stratum listed on your pool it seems like it's important to fix this issue. The other stratums have these issues to sometimes

So it seems to be a returning problem

Hey I just started doing CPU mining with this pool and was wondering if I'm correct in the payout settings.

0.1 - 8000 XMR. Set to '0' for no auto payout. A 0.03 XMR TX fee will apply

So if I set the auto pay to drop a payment when I have collected 0.1 XMR, a 0.03 transaction fee will apply?

Seems a little high so I was wondering if most people just wait for a higher payout to do that transaction? I think it will take me about a week to get up to 0.1 xmr.

Thanks.

Is there any reason why i cant get any connection to xmr-eu.suprnova.cc on both ports?
Dashboard show 199 Miners and a good pool hashrate.
But with xmrig i cant get any connection from multiple locations.
