Satoshi is a real person. He is probably in his early forties. The problem with being an innovative thinker and filthy rich is that you get bored unless you're keeping yourself busy.

So, he is likely to be working somewhere in the technology world.

What if you accidentally figure out the guy you've been working with (sitting next to, is a customer, is a consultant, is your client, etc) is actually Satoshi.

What would you do?

absolutely nothing. I wouldn't mention anything to him, i'd leave him alone and i'd never mention it to anyone. but if I can find him then there's no reason why anyone else couldn't too.

I will ask him to send me some BTC in order to keep the secret...

I would never reveal his real identity cause I know that if this ever happens it will hurt Bitcoin and he will find himself in big trouble.
Knowing who satoshi really is would be a perfect chance to learn from him more about Bitcoin early days,I bet he has many interesting stories to tell.

I would probably not say too much about it.  I would maybe try and learn from him/her since he/she probably has a really interesting perspective on the world and maybe some other inventive ideas too.

he is really afraid of people like you  ;D ;D :P may be that is the reason he is not coming in front of anybody because everyone will beg him for BTC or he might be kidnapped for the millions of coins he has, but i do believe that Craig Steven Wright is the real satoshi ,i have heard his lectures and he has deep knowledge about everything regarding blockchain and he is said to have developed the first online casino.

I'd probably say hi to him once, ask him about how he came up with the idea, and then probably never speak to him again about it again. It would likely be way too uncomfortable for him to want to talk about it more, and chances are he might leave where-ever I am if I was to bring it up due to personal security.

I will say its a pleasure to meet him and request for a selfie. But of course i wont post it in social media coz i respect his privacy. Im just gonna keep it on my phone.

I would personally congratulate him for changing the the way we spend,sent,receive or do transaction online. He changed the way we earn and give us financial opportunity  to transact anonymously online. I will invite him for a coffee and a short talk :)

I would be so happy that i will start jumping in happiness. Still if I find him I won't address him to the rest of the world because he might v tell me some secrets and those secrets might help me in becoming rich also he might give me tips on how to hack the bitcoin system.

I'd love to talk and get to know him/her/them. They'd have a lot I could learn from. The most annoying I'd even dare think about getting though would maybe be to see if they would be willing to help me with a few projects that if successful could be nearly as disruptive as bitcoin has the potential to be.

I would probably kidnap him and then make him give me all of his Bitcoin. But to be completely honest, I wouldn't know what to do if I met Satoshi. Thank him, I guess.

I will be quiet nervous in talking to him so not sure what will i do just may be congratulate and thank him for creating a beautiful think and tell me how because of you many peoples life have changed.But one think for sure i will reveal his idenitity to anyone,if he isnt interested i talking anymore then i will say bye and move on.

I'd let him know I've identified him, but the secret absolutely stays with me (not even my wife, etc.), and I will respect his wishes RE: privacy. I'd let him know I'd pray for him, for wisdom and to be able to bear the burden of wealth without it causing him more grief than it benefits him. I don't envy him.

Studies have shown that lottery winners' lives tend to go down the tubes because of all the friends/family/acquaintances who suddenly imagine they deserve a handout/gift/share from the winner, leading to conflict (or cutting ties) with much of people they care about. You are sitting next to one of the greatest inventors or innovators in the world, damn! I would make friends and talk about Bitcoin every day. < Away from the office > I would learn from the master, if he allows me to. Information and knowledge is more powerful than any money or Bitcoin he could ever give me, so I would rather learn how to do it on my own than to ask him for handouts. ^smile^

This would be the opportunity of a life time, to be close to someone as awesome as this. He or she will become one of the legends of our time and for generations to come.

There's no way that you'll find out the person you're sitting next to is Satoshi. Just like how you'd never find out that the person you're sitting next to in the bus is a psychopath or a murderer. With a lot of money, Satoshi would never reveal himself. Why would he? He doesn't have a reason to.

I think the only people that knows he's Satoshi are the people that he worked with when he's still establishing or making Bitcoins, if there's any. But just in case, for some reasons, I found out that I know Satoshi in real life, I will just say "Thank you" to him very sincerely. We're all gathered in this forum and make money online because of him.

I'll treat him for a dinner, let him choose and I'll use my bitcoin to pay the bill. It's an honor meeting the creator of bitcoin. I would definitely keep his secret.  One thing is for sure, he'll not show up. But how will we identify if it is really him?  :D

I will ask satoshi, what is the main purpose for creating bitcoin and what is the next step for making bitcoin more popular. I'm sure satoshi want the bitcoin become more popular.

I'd probably pick his brain to get a better insight in why he created bitcoin. I'd ask him about the ucrrent state of bitcoin, what he thinks of it and if it was a difficult decission to leave bitcoin in the hands of the new devs.

I'd ask him to sign a message to confirm his identity when I post a transcript of the interview with him, but I would not reveal his identity. I'd do my best to hide my identity when posting this so nobody can track me down to get the information about satoshi from me.

I'd probably ask him, he'll probably say no, but If I've had the evidence I'd still keep it quiet, he's anon for a reason,  if all knew who was satoshi, someone would surely get the best hitman, Clintons, to get him. Maybe I'd tell who he was if something happened to him, after his death.

it is a very complicated and very think able to figure out what happen . but i think if found out and will sure that he is satoshi nakamotov then i will treat with him like unknow friend . and i will take some tip from him to become rich ;)

i think Satoshi is like nickname on the underground world and this person will not cover who is he/she but i think in someday he/she will be launch his/her journey for making of bitcoin with complete computations so people will know who is he/she actually.

but, the other side, i think when someone is playing around in underground world, he/she do not want to cover who is he/she because is like an ethic of underground world that will not cover any identity of the member beside if they are really a close friend.

but the fact that i can't think of anything to do with Satoshi is that Satoshi is just the creator of bitcoin and nothing more, so he is respected in that sense but he would be another developer of bitcoin at this point.

If i met him, i will probably asked why he created the bitcoin currency and how did he come with such a brilliant idea, and Of course i would asked his autograph to become my souvenir, and asked what had he been doing with the bitcoin he created, i am so curious about that

I never really understood the obsession to find out, who Satoshi really is. For me, using Bitcoin is a lot more interesting without knowing, who created it - it generates some kind of mystical experience... :D I have a lot of sympathy for a guy that came up with such a great invention but instead of seeking public attention choose to stay anonymous. (Note that Satoshi's personality in that regard is the exact opposite like that of Gavin Andresen or Mike Hearn.) Yet, we don't even know if Satoshi is a single person...

If Satoshi is a single person and I would find him accedentally, I would keep it a secret. I wouldn't even approach him/her and ask any questions. He/she would have to actively approach me for this to happen. I deeply respect that Satoshi chose privacy over fame and I think that he/she even needs to stay anonymous for his/her security.

there are a lot of different speculations about identity of satoshi and i think he is either dead or he is one of the bitcoin developers right now and we will never know his identity because he chose it to stay this way.

I really don't know. What to do with that guy? To ask his sign?! ahaha well, probably I would ask him does he that guy who created bitcoin? Then if he is I would tell him that I am in bitcoin world and making money on the internet with it/ Maybe I would even say thank you to him, cause for me it is really good chance to make some money above my ordinary salary. This must be one of the prime reason that Mr. Satoshi went anonymous. Till he was active in this forum, we could imagine how disturbance he would have faced from such people asking for donations.
In my perspective, giving away free money would not be a big problem for Satoshi, still that might come back against bitcoin's growth. So, being anonymous has many advantages to bitcoin ecosystem as well as for Satoshi.

the most creative, innovative and god of modern technology. this technology surpasses every technology that was invented after 20th century. I would first give him a big hug then will take him to a 5 star hotel to discuss about the technology like. actually how this system work automatically, went he had invented this, why he had set 21 million limit and such many questions. then a poor guy I would beg him few bitcoin to set up my photography studio. I think he will do that for me.

Lol. I try to lock the satoshi and have friendship with him. I will try to know the coding for bitcoin and I will make myself much efficient to prove me in technical manner. I am sure then I ll become a popular among btc community.

Well If I find him how would I recognize him as there is no photo or anything of him in circulation.But if I do find hi, and somehow recognize him or he proved that he is real satoshi,I would beg him to give me his bitcointalk account which he is not using since years  ;D

I don't really know how would I recognize him in the first place. Well if in case I met him (and I know that it's really him), I'd just ask him about his opinion about bitcoin in the current times, that's it. I don't want to bug him because he chose to be alone in the first place, and I think I'll just respect that.

How would you be sure it's him though? alright let's say somehow I'm 100% certain it's him, I might try to blackmail him into giving me half his stash or sell the info to the highest bidder on the black market ;D Nah seriously I think it would be pretty enlightening to just have a regular chat with him, it doesn't even have to be about Bitcoin.

I think that satoshi is not a single person but a mid or small team who worked and maybe still working for the bitcoin, I would ask him how much is your total amount of bitcoin holdings, what are your plans doing with them and where do you see bitcoin after 10 years.

Actually I was very confused about whether Satoshi person's name or the name of the group managing bitcoin. Because I saw some news very many people who claim to Satoshi, and his real name is not Satoshi. But if I meet someone who is called "Satoshi" maybe I'll be happy and I will be asking questions about bitcoin. Because I really want to know about bitcoin deeper.
