Currently price is trying to break $600 but still lots of selling force is trying to push the price down under $600. What you guys think can this October bring another good pump pushing price well above $700 ?

dont think we will see 700 this month
maybe im wrong but from my perspective we can go for some increase and for that i mean 10-20$ max but 100$ i little to much at this point
also dont see any event that could trigger sudden price increase

That would be good for all of us Bitcoin holders but I do not believe it could happen judging from the current price movements. To go up and reach $700, Bitcoin must first go over $650 first which is something that I do not believe can happen for the rest of 2016. Unless there is some big, unexpected and spectacular news then maybe it will. For now I will not keep my hopes up.

I am actually waiting for the opposite to happen so that we could start buying more coins at bargain prices.

I think the dips below 600 are (almost) over and don't expect that we will see any significant dips anymore that make waiting worth it.

700 by the end of this month is completely feasible and if it happens, I don't think we will be waiting around at those values. More momentum will build.

I'm quite happy for the fact the price is stable at $600.Let me clear your misconceptions :
1.The selling force is certainly "not pushing the price down",they're selling because still a number of hodler's exists!
2.The savers won't push the coins until they reach  marginal profits,which is price = price ++!
3.If the rate is stable for a long time,eventually it would give rise to a situation where the number of holders would beat the sellers,increasing the prices in turn!

The The Winklevoss twins are pushing through some new trades on their platform, but I do not know if this will be enough to push us into the $700 bracket. There has to be something bigger than that to get a $90 increase in the price for us to get $700 by the end of October.

We have seen some higher demand in early December, when people start buying Xmas gifts. I hope merchants are gearing up for that. ^smile^

the price has been staying above $600 pretty nicely.
and all these sell pressures are because of accumulation, the whales who are late want to accumulate now and they are keeping it around $605 ish to buy there.

I think it would be  hard for bitcoin to push its price to break $700 since we   are  having a hard  time  even  to  pass on  $600  and  we are almost  on 1/4 of  october and the  price moves only a  little thats why i could assume  that it wont be possible for this  month of  october no even  on december  .lol

As I've spoken there, the resistance seems alot stronger then I first expected. Though it is is though line to break, I think $700 is a possibility for the end of October. In that case luck must be really on our side, I think the chances are small. $700 seems more like a reasonable figure towards the end of this year

I hope that the price is going to rise again because I want to really sell some of mine bitcoin again so the price needs to rise for me to be able to do that.

Nope, this month will be exactly like how the price has been behaving for weeks/months now. There is no upwards potential since people are only staring at their screen in the hope something will happen. And if all people do this..... Then do your calculations on how long it will take before we see a dump taking the price to sub $600 levels again. Boredom will break them up at some point.

We don't know about it but it's not bad if we're gonna wait until it's price go up again. We all know that it's gonna go up again in the near future though.

actually i'm a bit bored with the current price because no big movement since august and in my opinion the price will stay at $600 because no big event to make bitcoin price increase so in my predictions bitcoin still at $600

The prices won't change just because there isn't a "big movement".The only rule applies is,When Demand > Supply,the prices would sky rocket.If you read my previous comment,eventually it would happen and by judging it from the last year,Christmas eve always push the prices on account of the occasion.I couldn't establish a logical connection,let me know if anyone does.

yes i am very much hopeful that at the end of October the price of bitcoin will be trading above 700$ because we are expecting the price of bitcoin above 1200$ at the end of 2016, and hope that bitcoin will easily achieve that limit very easily.

Bitcoin prices probably go up around Christmas because of demand.
People are buying things online,
getting drunk and losing money on gambling sites,
taking time off from work to buy drugs on the darknet and get high,

I just came across a highly tempting news, that the first testing of transactions in lightning netwrk was performed successfully. This might bring all the conflicts of block size to an end. So, we could believe this October may bring many surprises to us.

Yes, that must be very amazing news to have, and based on this news' weightage we could speculate that market may go beyond $1000 price levels also as this news will solve very big debate of bitcoin ecosystem : block size problem. Moreover, many other interesting projects keep on coming so this October would be the beginning of those miracles.

If the price will go up, then it's more likely to happen somewhere in November of this year, and not December.

Last year and the year before that it happened all in the month November.

I'm not much a good predicted, and I like to predict based on the facts and from the general knowledge, and based on the current trending I can't say that the price will be $700 later this moth, maybe a maximum of $630.

I put my vote on $650 price by the end of this month, as price is stable at a moment and it may increase  in next couple of weeks but that is only possible if people will keep on buying bitcoins.

I would be surprised if the price gets that high by the end of the month. It seems to be stuck at around $615 or so and has been stable for a few months. I don't know what would drive it up at this point.

$700 in October is unlikely IMO, price is too stable for now to advance. But Bitcoin's price historically was always gaining momentum in winter.
I am rather sure that we will see $700 and probably even more near end of the year - and in January price will drop.

After studying and considering the most probable and possible outcomes, yes I would have to say that a Bitcoin price of trending back to $550 is not going to happen anymore. Unless there is another exchange getting hacked or some very bad news.

Maybe it is because of the halving. It is now in the miner's interest to protect and support the price of Bitcoin so that their mining operations and in the case of Bitmain also their ASIC manufacturing business and mining related interests continue to be profitable.

I dont think so. Based on the movement of price its so calm. So its impossible to see $700 by the end of October. I'll be expecting it by around December.

I am quite pessimistic bitcoin can penetrate the price of 700 USD. I think the realistic figure for bitcoin is 650USD. it is something that might happen at the end of october.

Unless some guys are willing to pump the price up, I don't think $700 is going to happen in 3 weeks time. We have seen how the price has behaved in the last few weeks (or months) and the most that we could get to at is $620 or $630. I am going to sell, nonetheless, and I hope I make the most out of what I am going to sell.

hope that the price of bitcoin will be more that 700$. as it was expecting more before October but after the bitfinex hacking the price of bitcoin came down to 500 USD. and then the price start increasing hope now the price will easily cross the 700USD level at the end of October.

The price won't be able to advance this quickly if nothing special is happening, I think by the end of december is when we will be seeing the 700$ price range.
If it will stay there is the question though, it's a trend to always drop after rising.

It is possible that it will not happen any drastic changes and that the price slowly go up, and in that case we can maybe see 700$ at the end of this year.

I think not this end of the maybe around this november and december just like last year if we compare the last year chart there is a little bit the same and i think the price will increase more in november or december..

$600 seems to be a solid bottom and there was more than enough time for speculators to buy in.
I also have a feeling that we could move up again soon.
But if we will able to reach the $700 or maybe breking it I don't know.

If we are to based on the current price movement, no we can't see $700 this month since it just rebounding around the so called "bottom price" of $600.

What things must happen to make a ladder to $700? Price rally and some news. Big whales must start some panic in some of the famous exchanges. If in 2 or 3 exchanges they will succeed other excangers will follow the trail and the result, price increase. Just be cautious since it will followed by a large price decrease of those people who are securing profits.

I dont think that the price will be hit 700 dollars by the end of this month, i still believe that the price will be stable in around 590-610 it might be up untill 650,  as we can see people still buy bitcoin untill this day including myself, i wish we could see bitcoin hit 700 dollars again in yhis year.

who knows? it's managed it a couple of times relatively recently. what's more positive is that it's staying in the late 500s/early 600s and shows no signs of budging.

I dont think the bitcoin price will reach 700USD till the end of octuber because only 22 days left now for this and bitcoin is holding a pretty stable price since many monts,so i dont see any reason for its growth in these days.

We maybe can go up again but I do not think this will happen, the fact is that the bitcoin is a good currency but I do not see it rise anytime soon.
Maybe with some luck it will happen but than there has to be an sort of bubble or event.

Price is at $620 right now and many have started to speculate price to touch $700 by end of this october however i think price will again go near $600 and think this $20 pump is just to swing price and get profit out of day trading.

This is correct and we  have the same  perception regarding  with this matter which  we cant  really expect that  bitcoin would reach $700 as  of this  month of october as we  observe on the movement price of bitcoin  its  impossible for it to reach that price  point  but still its  possible for this  year i guess.

The 1st week of october is great for bitcoin as its price went up to $620 and still going up. If this continue then it may reach $700 by the end of october.

It might go up that high by the end of the month, but I would expect Bitcoin to be somewhere around the mid $600s if anything, and probably not just a $100 rise over the course of one month. The market has to reason to pump it up that high and unless there's some news to move it upwards we'll just see some natural progression.

This days the price for bitcoin is statable, that the first time I see that bitcoin almost does not change it's price for days. With such dynamic I doubt that it will up around 700$ to the end of October, but probably to the end of the year it will.

i think this is not for the first time, i have examine it for so many time and specially after halving the price of bitcoin stay on one place for a long time and i think as much as bitcoin is maturing the price of bitcoin is getting more and more stable.

Will price be around 700 dollars by the end of this month is hard to say or predict. That is 85 dollars jump, and that is not small jump in my opinion. Someone can earn a lot from that kind of rise, and who can say for sure that price will get there so fast?
This is something that we can just hope for now, I don`t know will price go there by the end of October, but until the end of the year its reasonable to think that price can go even over 700. Everyone is waiting for this proof of work, and with that price can have enough power to rise.

The price has show us quite some action the last week. For the first time since a long time there is an uptrend noticeable but that doesn't mean there are any guarantees that there is a rise happening. I would rather hold my coins at the moment then speculate on a price increase or decrease. If something happen I am safe because I held my coins for the longer term (in my case 3 to 5 years).

There is literally no reason for the price to increase unless the demand for illegal stuff increases.  That is what Bitcoin is these days.

Everything is pure speculation and nobody knows if other people are going to invest more. November and December is coming up so maybe some people would fill in their stash a little early so they could get it at a much lower price. Today, the price of Bitcoin is 615 USD and that's higher than our usual 600 USD range.

We usually spend more fiat during November and December because of the Christmas gifts and the bonus from the company that we're working for. So, it's either people would buy a lot of Bitcoins with those money or they will dump their Bitcoins to give some gifts to their relatives. No one can know until we're at that point.

Don't know, it is stayed three weeks to the end of October and this days bitcoin show statable price, so bitcoin has just not enough time to rise for 100$ during this remain three weeks. Maybe to the end of the year bitcoin can reach this point, but this year for sure no.

$650 is really achievable by the end of october but $700 is not really because that is really a big price with in a month because in my obeservation pumping price of bitcoin is not $100 per month so something it  is very difficcult to achieve but lets just watch the price in the end.

do you remember the $420 price, there was a similar thing going on back then too. apart from the halving hype the situation is the same, there is an accumulation going on and price has been stable and the bottom has been tested now.
not saying there will be another (780-420) $360 rise but there is definitely another $100 rise on the way.

We do not know what really the future of bitcoin it will be in that month bitcoin price right now are at 615 dollars if those investors keep pusing the bitcoin price to become high one then it will be more supricing and there are posibility that bitcoin will be rich 700$ by the end of the year.

This kind of stability in price is very good which was not seen before in last couple of years. This is unpredictable market and can not be said anything for sure. I personally think that there has always been movement and price is not flat but we are used to see changes in some dollars in Bitcoin. A lot of alt-coins are having issues and people are pulling their investments out.
People will probably also start spending a bit more towards Christmas and the demand will rise a bit.

I do heard also that  some altcoin does  have an issue and maybe this would lead to people to go back again with bitcoin and as you said  demand would surely rise espcially  on occasion like christmas but still we  wont  know  on what would be  the reason for bitcoin  to rise up this year end. although from time to time there is a big pump happening in some of the bigger altcoins but in the end there is only investors who go there temporarity with their money to double, triple,... it and come back to buy bitcoin with a lot more money.

Nah I don't we would see $700 this month or even the next. Past 2 months bitcoin is more or less stable rising a little then falling but maintaining at around 600-650 range. So ik expecting $700 maybe by end of this year or in December by latest.

I don't think that altcoins have made big impact upon our bitcoin's growth. Even during the days of financial fall over most countries bitcoin was found stable. On account of this I believe that the price will experience gradual increase rather than steep increases. Possible to the max the price might reach $650 by the end of october.

If a minor pumps happens it will stay around 650. Not a lot more or higher.

The price has increased and stays by $630 now. This would be sign of a reasonable growth this month. It may go up to $700 or more than that. All depends on the market. The price was stable and made many to buy and save more bitcoins. The turn has come for profit. Even now the btc can be bought so have a good profit end of this year or beginning next year.

You have a  point  though since even people would   tend to invest to altcoin  but in the long run they would still go back to bitcoin hence  altcoins  could able to exchange  directly to bitcoin and  these kind  of situation      would somehow increase the price of bitcoin  if  demand  would raised.

Hoping in 2017 to stay above 700$ the whole year but that's a very amibitious goal for bitcoin and I don't think we can reach that goal.

There's no reason why staying above that price would be a problem, especially now when the mining dumps are 50 % lower after halving. The main thing is that
there are no negative developments that would make people into selling, and when the market isn't pressured with ataying afloat with sell orders, price should go up.
All this makes me pretty confident we are in for bigger price rise in the following months, but still not enough to reach 700 this month.

A $90 rise could happen in a few days.Everyone here who been around during the past bubbles and short quick run ups have seen what kind of crazy beast Bitcoin can be.

It can not be excluded at all there has always been unexpected increases or decreases in Bitcoin price. I for myself am much happy with present price of $615. There was hype about halving and that isn't over. I think we may see between $610 to $630 in this month and by the end of the year can expect some real visible change in price.

Well it is nearly to be happen since the price is staying at level 600 value and we already experience that before halving and i think it will happen again before end of this year. this is just my feel just like before or last year you seen that the price is increase on november and down before end of november and increase again before christmas. so i think november or december the price of bitcoin will increase more.

It is such hard to predict but we all wanted that to happen.  Its price lately stick to $600 per bitcoin and now it is slowly letting go of its attachment to that price.  It would be a good news for everyone if its price goes high.  But many said that bitcoin price will go up at the end of this year.  Whatever its price will be I will just continue to earn and to use my bitcoin.

I hope so, since bitcoin's price is always fluctuating this days I'm sure that in no time it will hit that price or even more than that. It might be 700$ by the end of october yes just today overnight it raised up to 630$ so we are getting somewhere finally.
I have faith that it will be 700$ atleast by the end of the year if not sooner, hoping for 1k next year.

I few weeks or even days back, I was really skeptical that the price could reach $700 by end of October. But at the rate the price has been going, and I don't want to jinx it, it is very possible and within reach. I would wait for about two more weeks before doing any selling and I hope I am making the right decision of delaying.

Well first when I saw this thread I was convinced that this wasn't going to happen but after seeing the quick price changes last night I got convinced that 700$ is still entirely possible this month. Unlikely but possible for sure we will see if it truly happens

Don't get excited too quickly. With the support levels being very thin as is the case right now, it won't take much to get the price back to $600-$610 levels. I'm not impressed by this increase at all.

i only can hope for the increase price into $700 because i only small player in trading and just waiting for next increase the price. and when i see the chart in market exchange, i think the rate will be up in the end of october so many people will be happy when its really happen.

Correct,  price  of bitcoin start to move now but just as  expected  traders  would surely sold their coins  on this  point and would  expected on bitcoins price to drop again on $600 mark but still i have  high hopes that  it would somehow increase  more and continuing its rally.

We will likely continue to see a surge here before 10/18, the date the SEC is supposed to either approve or extend the COIN (Winklevoss) ETF.  If approved on that date, will really spike, if not likely retract some.

As of now the currently price of bitcoin is 634.5 USD dollar and i think that bitcoin will be more expensive before the month end or before the year ends , Remember the price of bitcoin in 2014, 2015 the bitcoin price is really sticked and cheap if you see the prices of bitcoin in that year you will see big differences from 2014 to 2016 :)

I dont think that the price of the bitcoin will rise above the 700 dollar and that is just becuase lots of people dont want to sell their coins and just holding is not what you need to do when ytou want the price to rise.

If the price increase will start at the current price rate (which is around $630), breaching $700 is just a piece of cake.

When there's a price rally, a common increase is about around $100-$200 in a short period of time or even more. So in here, if some cases the rally will start in of these days, reaching $700 can be done even for 24 hours. Just expect a sudden price decrease after.

I think lots of traders are speculating now.  They won't sell at 650 USD and wait for their target price.  I think they will start selling at 700 USD, which is possible to be the next floor for BTC.  And I don't think that BTC will drop again to sub 600 because of more and more people going into bitcoin each day.

Lets hope this will happen, I have some good feelings about the fact that this can happen, of course we need some luck to accomplish this but it can happen.

By looking on the Current situation of bitcoin in the market we can  say and predict that price will be 700$ at the end of October.

Reaching the $700 level may not look like a difficult thing for you, but the reality is completey different. Even with the current increase, I don't see a chance for the price to touch $700 before the end of this month. Support is too weak, and the volumes too low.

As you said  if theres  no bad  new or anything  that would  affect bitcoins price to go down  maybe it would  increase even  though  in small amounts even gradually it would surely reach $700 price and  yet we are still on 2nd week  of  october which is somehow achievable  on last 2 weeks  of october.

I am hoping that the price of the Bitcoin is going to rise again because if it still manages to rise in 2016 then maybe 2016 was not as bad after all.

After a halving the price became about 500$ but now it grows quite fast, so if nothing unexpected happens then bitcoin will reach 700$. In fact, I think it will be closer to a 1000$. However, it is not that easy to predict the price. I think it can go down for some years, because mining won't be profitable.

Looks like price is going up this days, and chances for price to hit 700 $ dollars before end of October are higher and higher. If there won't be any surprise news then It looks like going to rise more and more each day. For some days till now It's just increasing. So being over than 700$ doesn't sound impossible. We are already so near that one. But once again; this is bitcoin and no one can predict  the price 100% accurately even for the next some minutes.

So the price is quite stable from $625-$638 as of today and I can say that we have the same range by the end of October. I hope that it will be reached and a little step again that is going to make the price to increase more when Christmas season comes. Most alt-coins have been losing traction and people are probably going to move a lot of their investments back into Bitcoin.

I think 14 days is long enough to get bitcoin to 700 USD, it was post on the other thread that it only take less than 15 days in 2013 for bitcoin to reach 1000+ USD.  So it is very possible for bitcoin to reach 700 USD until the end of Octorber as long as there is no bad press about bitcoin to occur.

Yes you're right, maybe for a few days in October this price is still a long way to reach 700 USD in my opinion. Bitcoin fluctuations make it very difficult to rise quickly so that it requires the process, so it's possible to have October I think the price could not reach 700 USD.

People will indeed secure profits, but that doesn't mean the price will drop heavily as result. If whales want they can absorb most of the dumps to make themselves gain even more coins before they pump up the price higher. They are whales for a reason.

I hope that the Bitcoin can still rise a bit with in 2016 because it will just be a good time because the holidays are just around the corner and I can sue the money because of that.

I am thinking more between $650 and $670, although who am I to complain if it exceeds my speculated price.
