Some rules:

* Post pump details, include evidence of pump groups or some form of marketing / promotion

* Try to focus on pumps happening within the week you are posting. Evidence of past pumps is interesting, but we're looking for 'in the moment' pumps

* Try to include some evidence for organised pumps. % spike, random and unusual price support, evidence of accumulation

* Don't randomly promote, you'll get your post deleted

Fontas trying to claim his pump group was responsible of the Gulden pump.

This might just be a way to get people to pay him 4BTC to join the pump group.

What would he do with your money? Probably use it to generate pumps, thus getting more people to pay to join the pump group.

Horizon looking like a dead pump.

The action in the first few days was well over $1m buys, so it is either a failed pump, it is entering a quite period while noobs sell or the long time bag holders wanted to try and kick-start the price in the hope that it would be sustained.

How much will a pump at a Chinese exchange affect the prices at other exchanges?
And how long would it take for the price to change?
It must depend on the size/ duration of the pump?

In which case, the rumor = the whitepaper; so is the release of the whitepaper the news?

it would be great if there could be a watch for pre-pump-action not after it has happened. i mean when the price is low and the coin is still in the accumulation phase.

because after the pump takes place it would be easy as pie to detect it, you can go on coinmarketcap or any exchange site and sort the list by price change and then make the connection afterwards.

i believe expanse is about to go through another pump, or at least primed for a pump scenario [2-5x]. It appears the market has been in accumilation for a few months. the thread might be interesting for noobs if you teach them how to identify an accumulation phase that leads to a pump (and dump).

I get a good giggle out of reading this. Everything thinks they know when a pump and dump is occurring but can't seem to understand the logic with supply and demand. If you'd like to know more about pump and dump, then read up on supply and demand.

Think about it like this. To be a hacker, you need to know how to code. If you don't know how to code and you still consider yourself a hacker; then you're actually a script kiddy. Script kiddies are always the first ones to get arrested. The ones that don't understand the real elements of pump and dumps are the first to lose there money.

I dont really see this thread would  be  usefull at all because  we  wont  know coins  when they would  pump unless if they are  manipulated and  for sure  someones  gonna  post  their coins so that  new users  would directly  buy it and  would   only  waste their money for sure.

People are trying hard to pump NAV, but it's going so-so.

Nav is a noob trap.

But how would you know when the right time to sell or buy is ? Its easy to look st the graph afterwards but how do you actually predict this ? Even if people say they will pump how can you be certain they will ? Maybe its only a trap ?

You try to catch the bottom and sell on the way up. It pretty much depends on how greedy you are.

Trading starts OTC on the zcash forum from launch.

It looks like there is more room for the price to rise.. unless someone dumps and ruins everything.  :D

that is why im thinking of mining.
buying it seems really risky especially if founders and early investors (like roger) will have a lot of coins to dump in the first year.

To reply to the poll, the best place is Poloniex. No Poloniex no pump. The only notable exceptions that come to my mind are Waves and ZCoin.

Can't find a decent source, but Waves looks like its getting pumped. 700BTC buy [fake?] support on Trex.

LSK is rising, probably because of Ark ICO which will give huge bonus for Lisk investors.

I don't know, but that might be real, considering that there might have reason. Development is going to reach an important threshold, the pump did not come from nowhere.

Of course they are fake buy walls.  ;)

I'm surprised that Poloniex is a good place to pump coins.I have an account on Polo but seldom used it,because I am more concentrated on Yobit,where I see a lot of pump movement,will watch this thread and see what coins that will be pump up.

I also voted Yobit, the one and only website full of so many unknown coins with low market cap that are easy to pump and make profit. :D

What are the chances that coins whose price value have been manipulated in the past can be manipulated in the future?

i say it is extremely high.
although it depends on how that coin has changed since last time because coins that are easily manipulated they can always be easily manipulated too. but what i said about change means that if for example throughout the years that coin died and no one is interested in it anymore or the opposite, meaning that coin has grown big and now has a higher price, a much better distribution and some other factors which makes manipulation very hard.

Arch coin has pumped so much on Bittrex today, it went as high as 362% within 24 hours. That is the highest pump I have witnessed so far in my short trading experience.

I was sorry I missed the Arch train. :(

Don't worry, there are trains every days-weeks.  But remember sometimes the patience is the key.
For example Gulden didn't went from 350-400 satoshi to 10.000 sat in a day. 

you should look at pesobit, it didn't got added to any big exchange, the initial ico price of 300 satoshi, raise to 10,000 satoshi within 1week + and drop back and stabilised to 5k for few weeks and drop to 2000+ satoshi right now :/

Yes, Poloniex is the best place for coin pump now, but you don't want to miss your entry point because you can turn to bagholder for a shitcoin, the experience very is bad. so if you are not experience enough or have inside information about a pump don't join the FOMO, you can be burnt terribly

people vote on Poloniex more because it is what they are using not because it is better place to pump altcoin! and they use it because it is the biggest altcoin exchange (have the highest volume) not because it is a good place!


trollbox has no effect on pumps, specially if they are bigger pumps.
you can only hype a random small coin in troll box and fool some newbies with $20 to buy that coin.

You can get a little information from the trollbox.
When people are telling you to buy a coin, it means they are about to dump it hard in the next five or ten minutes.
Five people talking about how a coin is about to "go to the moon"? Price is about to drop 25-50%.

Not sure if they are talking the next couple days/ week, or two months from now, but at 1 or 2 satoshi it might be okay to grab some.
Disclaimer- I bought a little less than 2 million BEEP and have a sell order for 2 satoshi.
But rumors are that it will get pumped for around 5 Bitcoin worth of buy orders.

Good idea for a thread but posters please show the evidence of pump announce with approx time stamp and time of actual pump.

We want to find out and confirm groups responsible. That is the whole idea, no?

2FLAV is currently being pumped on Yobit.
Up 48% with 4BTC volume so just a small movement from 56 to 71 satoshi right now.

This is actually a decent project- I bought some coins a couple months ago.
I might just hold my coins in case this sees triple digit increase.

many altcoins you see "changing" on yobit are only found on yobit. they are dead coins and that change is a fake change that yobit is doing themselves with their own bots.

if you don't believe me check them next time you visit the site yourself. all the trades are about 1-50 satoshi big!!! and we can make 10000 satoshi trades minimum!

Yobit has a ton of coins getting pumped every day.
You can make some money if you can get in early, since there are coins seeing 200-300% increase every day.
But its really risky since the dumps happen really fast, too.
I wish I had some inside information for some of these pumps!

I also might get an account on Bittrex,on Yobit and CCex I hardly can  follow those coins that will be pump,Bitrexx has a lot of whales on it and two or three whales can make a big difference in the trading pattern of any coin..

you know that platform on which you are trading doesn't matter because prices are usually become equal soon after any change. so the only thing that is important about choosing an exchange is first they should be legit and not a bad service like yobit and second there should be some real volume on those platforms for this last one check the orderbooks and compare them with each other.
