my own local stratum is connected to a wallet of ~ 705 blocks (right now); i'd sent to c-cex (about 4 days ago) and received with no issues whatsoever.
c-cex's wallet info states it is on the same chain (as it is currently showing 705), yet my sends of approx 10 hours ago are not showing up.

This seems the common thing with exchanges right now. I have diff coin I attempted to send to multiple exchanges (on same chain, at least same height so one would assume) But coins never make it. Hope yours end up making it. Your sends confirmed?

We found our wallet sync does not match official block explorer sync. That's why we disabled wallet for now and do not register deposits. Now block explorer is down. We will wait until it will be up again and check if we on the same chain.

Sounds like a bit of 'lets find blocks but not announce them to the world'.

We just update our wallet to latest from github but it does not sync. It was able to get 3 blocks and then stop. We tried to sync from scratch with fresh wallet.dat - same issue.

About all deposits sent to C-CEX wallet. They are all valid and will be registered once we will be able to sync.

You need to use the same wallet you had before, or all pending deposits will not go through.
Simply upload the exisitng wallet you originally had.

dev's own nodes are giving out incorrect proof of work at block 3, but this gets ignored quickly as other legitimate hosts step in with the correct block data.

actually those checkpoints secure the blockchain (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=194078.0) to prevent additional chains with really fast asics

now the chain used by ccex and dutch-mining is off of the "official" one, but thats another matter

if one wants to sync to the official chain i suggest using the addnodes provided by nova
the other way round use those by ccex

i've debugged your code for you, corrected it and put on my github, given good sound reasoning as to why your chain is invalid and i've attempted to help your cause by getting a good known source out to the public.

you don't change source code, modify nSubsidy, retarget algo (whatever you did) about 3 blocks into a coin launch; its just dodgy and noone will believe its for the greater good.

i've forked the existing repo, fixed it and it syncs to c-cex's chain in minutes (https://github.com/barrystyle/xenixcoin.git).
even dev's own repo will sync to c-cex's chain if sufficient nodes are available.

You've admitted you had to comment out lines in dev's source in order for the blockchain to synchronise correctly:


The reason you are able to then recompile it with these lines afterwards, and launch using the incorrect chain, is because the daemon does not check all blocks on each launch.

Again, i've outlined in previous posts where the issue lies, how i came across it and how to fix it; without having to butcher the code which has basically formed your own chain (an extension on an incorrect chain due to wrong PoW for block 4).

I'm not sure why Nova is on the same chain (C-Cex has been on the correct chain as per dev launch), but I get a feeling they've followed your advice. Of course you are going to support the incorrect chain as it owes you money, thats understandable, but to continue saying its the correct chain just makes you an idiot.

We on Novaexchange considers that the chain supported by all coin developers is the official blockchain, all other parallel chains is unofficial chains.

C-CEX support have even writing answers to our users that the blockexplorer is on wrong chain, the developers official miningpool is on wrong chain, and Novaexchange wallet is on wrong chain, but Novaexchanges wallet is on the right official chain (we have contact XEN developers after these issues to get that confirmed), so also blockexplorer and official miningpool, It is C-CEX wallet that's is running on wrong chain.

Novaexchange is also the only exchange listed as an official Xenixcoin exchange on Bitcointalk thread.

Definitely CCEX does not lend, nor synchronize the blocks they get, if you send some currency or try to get out of there will be lost. Escape from CCEX, give us more options for trade.
