We live in a Democracy and the people in the 50 states voted, and they wanted Donald Trump to be the next President of the United States. Should the electoral college decide to go against the vote of the people, there could be some dire consequences that could rip this country apart. The Democrats have to accept this defeat, and come back in four years to challenge Trump and the Republicans again.

It never happened in the history. All members of the Electoral College are, basically, soldiers of their political party and will not help other party to win. It's nice for followers of Hillary to dream about such scenario but there is no way that something like this can happen. It's true, however, that such system is outdated and should be changed.
