The system of allowing States to vote as a bloc if they wish is to prevent a more biased State from subjugating a less biased one. It affirms the importance of the State demarcation.

There will be a revolution if the Electoral College chooses Clinton instead of Trump, even though Trump will end up with over 300 electoral votes after Michigan is counted. We live in a Democracy and the people in the 50 states voted, and they wanted Donald Trump to be the next President of the United States. Should the electoral college decide to go against the vote of the people, there could be some dire consequences that could rip this country apart. The Democrats have to accept this defeat, and come back in four years to challenge Trump and the Republicans again.
