Title: Baikal Miner - Supported Pools
Post by: igotek on November 23, 2016, 04:38:51 PM
Nicehash Pools - Selling Hashrate Power

You can sell your hashrate power to the nicehash.
This is the best option to get profit from your baikal miners.
Nicehash pays your profit in time. (No Delay.) No matter which coin you mine, you will get BTC directly. I suggest you use nicehash.

Tips:  ???

I sorted the list acording to the profit. Quark has the highest profit. I suggest you blockchain.info as BTC wallet. You can use any BTC wallet. You can use BTC wallet of the exchanges like poloniex, bittrex etc. I suggest you use nicehash but I also wrote the other pools. If you want to get other coins instead of BTC, you can use them. All of the pools listed here is good. I will delete it if you tell any pool has problem. Please report bad pools.

NICEHASH POOLS ARE THE BEST.

The most profitable coin mining

Miningpoolhub

Please modify pool order for better efficiency. It's not mandatory but recommended.

1. Set each algo and server info in this priority order.
As x11 and qubit is mostly selected as profitable algo, it should be more efficient for pool and miner.

1 - x11 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12007
2 - qubit : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12014
3 - quark : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12015
4 - x13 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12008
5 - x15 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12009

2. Set "ASIC Baikal - Quark, Qubit, x11, x13, x15" at Hub worker page.
https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=account&action=hubworkers

3. You can also set some coin (like Bitcoin) at Auto Exchange page to get all coins exchanged. (optional)
https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=account&action=autoexchange

A spam monolog?

No. I have listed all supported algos and pools for Baikal miner here. So everyone can see how much pool fee and payout comissions without checking each pool one by one.

How do I set up the device to auto switch between the most profitable coin?  Or is that not possible?

Post by: igotek on December 03, 2016, 11:12:30 AM
it is possible on miningpoolhub. But not between different algos.

Code:
quark : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12015
qubit : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12014
x15 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12009
x13 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12008
x11 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12007

Use these URLs and use hub workers. Then the pool will decide which coin will be mining.

*****

About nicehash: Nicehash will decide which coin will be mining. You dont need to set anything. Just select the algo.

it is possible on miningpoolhub. But not between different algos.

Code:
quark : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12015
qubit : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12014
x15 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12009
x13 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12008
x11 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12007

Use these URLs and use hub workers. Then the pool will decide which coin will be mining.

*****

About nicehash: Nicehash will decide which coin will be mining. You dont need to set anything. Just select the algo.

*****

I have no idea about switching between different algos.

Ok, it doesn't seem like you can auto switch between the most profitable algorithms. Thats too bad, no matter, these are still awesome little devices.

Hi,

Now BAIKAL miner are completely compatible with Nicehash/Miningpoolhub/Zpool, mining on those three pools, Baikal will detect the most profitable algorithm automatically and offer this to the pool.

best regards.

Hi,

First check whether your miner are our old X11 version, or multi-algorithm version.

Then, go to this link:https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1GBwN5-i39VbDM0ZW4wTlU4OWc
download the "BaikalMiner Mining Algorithm Guide" , Total two steps for updating. one is Firmware update, another is burning OrangePi image to SD card.

If you BAIKAL miner is just X11 version, Please strictly follow the full guide and complete the update, if is Multi-algorithm version, then you can go to Burning OrangePi image step directly.
(Note: On 3.1.2 -- 4), Please select OrangePi V2.2, not V2.1 in the guide, Yes, V2.2 you can find from above link)

Two tools will be need for this two steps: 1) Baikal USB 4Pin connector. 2) sd card reader.

Have a good day.

baikal

nicehash actually tells you what they are currently paying ...

Hi guys,

I set up my first A900 miner today. It was a dawg to get through customs (no thanks to DHL...).

But it is now happily mining on Supernova.

Since you guys have way more experience, which sequence of mining pools would you currently suggest?

As I said, I have set up Supernova as my first pool and it is working fine. But obviously I want to get the best possible deal.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

W.

Can you try and setup your A900 to mine x11 at nicehash?

Mine cannot seem to, and I just need to be absolutely sure it is not just me.

Suprnova is the best for DASH. For other coins, I use miningpoolhub.

I dont advise you to use nicehash because when the price changes, disconnect and connect again and it is time waste.

no, its coinmine.pl for dash.
more blocks found then suprnova.

Thanks guys for your insight. Most helpful.

I have started mining DASH on Suprnova. I am still checking out the results.

I have two A900s (it was a dawg getting them through customs), jeez...

Anyway, one of them seems wonky. I should be getting 2 x 450 MH/s. The miner displays 900 MH/s.
However, one of the boards in one of my miners (there are two boards) only accepts 50%, which means the hashrate in total is not more than 600-650 MH/s, which is annoying.
No idea what is going on.

I have contacted Baikal and they will check out the problem with their engineer, but I am not hopeful.

Plus they forgot to slap in the SD card. Luckily I already had one A900, so I simply cloned the SD card and Bob's your uncle...

Cheers

W.

Yes yes yes. Correct. I tried both. On coinmine.pl 20% more profit than on supernova.

Well I guess it's purely luck. I ran a test with 2 Baikal mini's side by side for exactly 24hrs. So at today's exchange rate I got the following results. First let me point out that I'm aware that these values can change tomorrow, but I'm reporting my earnings for the last 24hrs. Suprnova gave numbers similar to coinmine.

Coinmine gave me .0322 Dash or $2.79 USD
MiningPoolHub gave me .04391957 Dash $3.80 USD

Quite substantial....

One thing I should mention, on Coinmine if you want to do an instant withdrawal the minimum is 1 Dash, if you do automatic the minimum .1, with a tx fee of .005

With Suprnova, whether it be instant withdrawal or automatic the minimum is .1 Dash with a fee of .01

With MiningPoolHub, for instant withdrawal minimum is .002 Dash and automatic is .1 with fees being .01

So for myself, what all this means is with MiningpoolHub I can withdraw my Dash sooner/faster than the other pools with a minimum being only .002. For some folks having to mine a whole Dash or even .1 can take some time and for people like myself I want to get my dash on the exchanges asap.

I am in Austria and the bureaucracy here can be a bitch at times. They want the full monty and complete documentation, otherwise you're screwed and they send the stuff back.

So far I managed to get my two machines through, but it took me a week of haggling with DHL to get it sorted out. Then they slapped storage fees onto the bill as well....

Nothing special about setting it up....It's the same as any other asic/miner. Just enter pool address and port with username and proper algo.

Hi, there is a problem with sgminer/5.5.1-b, pool switching is not working, after auto or manual switch miner doesnt produce accepted shares, need to restart, all the newer version miners affected! Is there a link to burn  sgminer/4.9.3 on the sd card, as it seems fine.

EDIT: Dont use this pool. It is scam. I mined and saw my earnings. But never paid. They also remove my earnings details from the pool.

it is possible on miningpoolhub. But not between different algos.

Code:
quark : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12015
qubit : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12014
x15 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12009
x13 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12008
x11 : stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12007

Use these URLs and use hub workers. Then the pool will decide which coin will be mining.

*****

About nicehash: Nicehash will decide which coin will be mining. You dont need to set anything. Just select the algo.

*****

I have no idea about switching between different algos.

Ok, it doesn't seem like you can auto switch between the most profitable algorithms. Thats too bad, no matter, these are still awesome little devices.

that's not correct.. it does auto switch between most profitable algorithms on miningpoolhub.

if you go to https://miningpoolhub.com/ (https://miningpoolhub.com/) and on the right side at the bottom of the Quick Start Guide there is a link for Baikal Miner's Settings (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=472510.msg16019833#msg16019833)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=472510.msg16019833#msg16019833 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=472510.msg16019833#msg16019833) <- which sends you there

when i set miningpoolhub, i dont see which coin is mining. (-the most profitable coin- dashboard option must be improve.) But when i set zpool, i can see which coin is mining. (it mines different coins at the same time.) Am I missing something ?

miningpoolhub is really cool but i use it only by selecting any specific coin.

So you are not in an auto-switch pool!
If an other coin is more profitable how will you know it ?

I use zpool for auto switchcoin.

But I prefer mine manually. I check on morning. Then I switch the mining pool just one click. Then it mines all day long.

I m getting too many messages about nicehash. Quark and Qubit algos are so profitable. Quark is the best. Qubit is following the Quark. Nicehash is a good pool because they pay as BTC and no delay in payments.

Forget auto switching. I have made more money with my Baikals by monitoring whattomine myself and mining the most profitable coin straight.

manually swapping on nicehash isn't difficult either, you just have to peek their homepage occasionally.

Baikal offers an OrangePi image on the Baikal site.
There are training pages on the OrangePi.org site to help with this.
Your processor box has a brain that has been corrupted. Now you must insert another brain.

Orangepi.org shows how to place an image in an SD card.
http://www.orangepi.org/ (http://www.orangepi.org/)

Also the Baikal site offers an img file.
https://www.baikalminer.com/support04.php

If you havent done this then take the courses on OrangePi.org.
You have stepped into a big undertaking if you have not worked with these devices before.
It can be a simple task if one has prior experience with following technical instructions.
But if you were hoping to buy an appliance and it just runs blindly then you have made a mistake.

Good question. I hope a good answer is possible.

Is zpool.ca, suprnova.cc, coinotron.com, give-me-coins.com or coinmine.pl better?
