with the new change in price moving up to 760-770 USD i think $800 price by the end of this month is easily possible now.

what do you think is needed for this rise to happen or ensure it?

Remember the peak back in June? We were very close to reaching the $800 level, where people were speculating that it would happen within 24 hours, but the opposite happened. The price started to tank heavily. People were even dreaming about reaching the $1000 level again. No matter how close we are to certain price levels, nothing comes easily in Bitcoin. Other than that, not that long ago I was saying that we would enter 2017 at sub $700 levels, and I am still supporting this.


No FUD or scandals such as "hacked" exchanges would be a very decent thing to start with. Usually, everytime the price goes up nicely, something happens where after that the price starts tanking heavily.

Bitcoin have better chance to start with $800+ next year.I really want that move but I don't forget past year how bitcoin drop back from $1200+ to $200 in the year of 2013 .if you had experience what happening 2012 and what was the result after 2013 you can understand.I saw some people said bitcoin will reach $1000, I think still have chance to increase price and reach $1000.lets see what will happen future.

It has a good chance to get to 800$ and stay there.
But it's pretty hard to say, since it recently has a nice grow, so first it may fall a little.

Yes its possible and it can also go to 1000$ before this year ends. To early to say but 1000$ can be a gift to all bitcoin users this christmas eve. And im so proud coz im one of the bitcoin users.

We are now at almost $800 price levels so $900 or $1000 too maybe possible to start a new year. All eyes are on Donald Trump, his new policies will impact bitcoin prices heavily. Being neutral or unchanged policies also will boost bitcoin prices for sure.

And if some big guys decide to cash out a bit we could easily see sub $700 again!
With Bitcoin you never know what is going to happen tomorrow.
We may see the $800 soon, or we may not. I don't care if it's happening now, tomorrow or next year in may.
As long as Bitcoin keeps growing and progressing we will see the price rising.Only that is important imo.

$800 no problem. I see $820-840 in the new year. Slow and steady rises are the best rises because there's so much more stability afterwards. There's always going to be a correction but the steadier the rise the less the correction!

I see $800 won't be reached by the end of the year but rather half a month before the year ends. Average bitcoiner will surely do a bitcoin conversion to participate in the Season of Givings, yes Christmas season. Although it can only affect some small percentage out of the whole, it can somehow create a small margin of price decrease that can considered as a bait to take profits of the others.

As long as we are on the floor of $700 it's more I want. We will reach $800 and even breach that someday. Just build stability in any price level first before jumping on the next level.

I strongly believe in bitcoin, and I feel that we will start at a price above $ 800 for the initial year. Well, now I am trying to collect as many bitcoin, because when the price reaches $ 800 bitcoin at the end of the year or at the beginning of the year, it might be a dollar that could have made me invest in large enough quantities  :)

Most probably we can experience $800 by the start of the year, because every year end a small increase in price happens. This time already we are close to the price tag of $775, which has given the highest possibility of reaching $800 by the year start.

its a good opinion and yes i am agree with you, because what is the point if after the high price is reach then the price is suddenly getting down into bottom. it would be better if the bitcoin is growing and adopt by many people in next year and after that the price will be follow for this and the high price is increase with slowly but stable so the altcoin will be follow too. and for now, many people is holding their bitcoin for next year and we can hope that the price is really surely pass the prediction.

price can not go to $1000 over night, it has been 2 years that price wants to get there but it is only rising slowly and i don't really see how this can change in this month!

besides prices that change rapidly are never stable and they always drop down fast so it is not even a good thing to happen,

Well, I hope so as we just see that bitcoin price rise again pass through the wall of $750. But what really matters is people who have intended to sell their coins right away if the price hit certain point as they set before, that's why bitcoin seems fluctuate so fast.

it is kind of a cliche thing to say but anything is possible and we may actually see an stable price above $800 soon. but i think it wouldn't be an easy thing since we are close to the end of the year where people usually are "spending money" rather than investing it which may reduce the demand a little hence slowing down the rise.

It could probably go down a bit as a lot of bitcoiners cash their savings out for their Christmas shopping spree, or it might go up when people buy bitcoin as the gift of choice for Christmas 2k16... Who knows???

It's all speculation. We cant predict exactly what happens.

i think it already went up for that reason! the price went up (possibly a pump by the whales) so that investors can cash out without seeing a drop and enjoy some more profit money for their shopping funds.

We are going to start a new year with high price of bitcoin it would be in the range of $850 or maybe more i can see the real future of bitcoin even in india, India is buying bitcoins pus 15% of price it will continue to rise i can assure that.

Yes, India market is leading bitcoin prices with their own reasons. But I could not see big impacts on world wide other markets due to this other than arbitrage trading. Maybe Indians come out to buy from other exchanges so that we may be general price surge across all markets. I am too sure we may see $800+ price levels by this new year.

$800 is already near and after few correction price can easily pump to $800, so i think floor for early months of next year will be at $800.  ;D

i don't think Indian market  is that big to be able to have this king of impact on the bitcoin price though. besides their market is kind of secluded and separated from the rest of the world or at least that is my understanding .

As it stands, the Indian market is nothing more than peanuts. But that doesn't mean it will always stay like this.

India is a huge country where there is a tremendous amount of growth that Bitcoin can experience if authorities don't jump in to ruin things for people.

What is being seen as a not important market right now, can turn into one of the main countries at some point in the future. 1.2 billion citizens isn't something you can easily ignore.

We only need new adopters of bitcoin before its price will reach 5k$. If bitcoin cant pass the 800$ nextweek we will be going back at 600$. And theres the time a massive selling will take its place. Hope it will destroy the wall on 800$ .

I think Bitcoin will cross $800 level before new year it should cross this line before Christmas. If it don't move up before Christmas than it will back to $600 or it may  go down below $600.

I think it's possible that bitcoin will reach $800+ in the near future, but I don't think it will be able to hold it.
There went really a lot of money from altcoins into bitcoins the last few weeks.
At some point traders will see the altcoin price as low enough to reinvest.
And then I suppose we will see bitcoin bounce back to around 700$.

me i think it will be 800$ maybe for another 1-2weeks for sure a lots of traders and investors will play with bitcoin and will hyping it up the more investors to join the ride the possible that the value will keep rising and will stay at top.

Before the expected halving few months ago, I was not so optimistic about a potential huge increase that most bitcoiners were expecting, and I clearly predicted that it would be a good deal to end this year with a bitcoin value around $800. I persist on it, and perhaps we will end this year few dollars below that level.

I think that Bitcoin is likely to reaim  $700+ till the beginning of January but if we would really want it to become $800+ we could make it by spreading our belief that this is what is going to happen, so that more people would buy btc now to earn money on this price change and so the price will rise up indeed because of this.

We know that bitcoin price affected by supply and demand which mean global trading volume. India bitcoin market just started to rise and many people learn about it, like you said India is country with large populations and it just time matter until bitcoin become so famous there due to recent financial problem. Yes it seems India is going to lead bitcoin prices due to their recent policy changes.

The government is about to regulate their citizen's gold savings. But I'm not sure how much it will be possible in a republic country still people may look for alternative investment like bitcoin.

If this trend continues we may start new year even with $1000.

That regulation is actually quite absurd that they're limiting the amount of gold their citizens were owning while they're buying it with their own hard earned money. And yeah it seems there will be some mass selling of gold that makes their citizens will be forced to invest onto different form of investment other than gold

We have some stupid idiots taking profits right now because they are scared bitches and can't hold bitcoin without shaking, but the trend is clear, we are going to hit 800$ very, very soon, it's just a matter of time and when we cross 800$, sky will be the limit, so get read yo hold long term because next time it pumps really high we are not going to be able to predict how high it will go.

We can say that these are just weak hands or people just need money for the upcoming holidays and thinking that the price these days is maximum they can get.So we go down to 750$,but for now it seems that there is good resistance at this level.

I also think that 800$ will be reached at one point,but it is much more likely that it will happen next year.I base this only on the experience of previous years when things calm down in the days before Christmas.It is possible that another pump will happen in next week or two but but I think that's all for this year.

Any price 700$ + at the end of this year can be considered a success, for greater achievements we should wait for next year.

Seriously, there is just too many development in bitcoin that it is not hard to imagine that price should be even higher than 800+ before the year ends.

I think that after Christmas, Bitcoin price will drop as it did last year. Personally, I think this is good because bitcoin had a pretty good performance this year and this is more healthy. Overall, in 2017 the price will reach $ 800,- and more. Bitcoin will have a bright future  :)

Price is already getting some correction after this pump to over $770 but when there will be next pump after this small price correction, it can easily pump price well above $800 so yes we may start new year with nice $800+ price.

Bitcoin shows fast temps of grow this days. And even today the price is close to 800$. So I think that 800+$ in the final of the year will be nice and logically end to bitcoin, I mean for this year.

Maybe we start new year that bitcoin price is $800 this is new price and become stable again. So it possible that the price now is slowly getting higher till reach the $800. Collect btc now and wait for that price bitcoin have big potential that price goes up.

800$ stable @ 2018 we can see spikes @ 2017 but it wont last 800 is for 2018 unless some big news coming out

There are signs that we could see a price over$800 if you look at the state of global economy ,some of the biggest populated countries like China and India are bringing in restrictions regarding their currencies that could spike interest in the digital currency and that could in fact be a positive news for bitcoin as people will be investing in bitcoin and that could in turn increase the price.

its a good to reach $800 in the new year, but its 25 days again into new year and i am not sure we can see that price because bitcoin has not been getting up for signifant in a week later. so maybe will stick around in the $760-$790, but if its more than $790 then the chances to go into $800 will possible.

Everything above the $700 level is a more than decent price for the majority of the people. If we happen to reach the $800 level, which I don't think will be maintained for too long, then it's a welcome bonus. Don't forget that a correction from a decent level is imminent at current prices. Nothing only goes up without experiencing corrections from time to time. It will make the market healthier, and allow people that have got in at far below current levels to secure profits, where after that we can focus on going up again.

The price movement is really unpredictable. i thought the price would cross $800 with the surge it had a couple of days before and it went back to $750 s and then it is currently moving up , hope people are booking their profits in the mean time and i do think it can reach $800 by the years end.

   Will we get there or not is question of time, price is so close to 800 dollars and we saw how price can jump for 100 dollars in one day. Even tomorrow we can see that, and what is next 900 dollars and more, and people will always wish more, I have seen questions when will it stop? the rises are small but they stick around and that is good enough for me as along term hodler. and the rise that you are talking about happened from 710 to 750 and the upper part was a sudden rise which needed a quick correction back to $750 and it doesn't go any lower than that i think it is safe to say we have a new bottom.

I like to see bitcoin cross 800 USD by the end of December but I don't think that will happen as lots of traders sell bitcoin for Christmas and New year gifts and other spending. This will cause the price to move in sideways and stay around 700 to 780 range for the time being.

I think that we dont need any thing high to happen as the all country are getting to know about the Bitcoin technology and are ready to accept it. You can see the latest currency demonetization in India lead most of the users and new users to accept Bitcoin as their second option for their black money to bitcoin

Its likely we will see new year +800 in price we are in that direction whole the way. We are now in steady range and expect to see some movement for this weekend and we will see price in new year over 800 for sure. Dont expect to see price over 1000 at least not now maybe in Q2 of 2017 not before.

I think we will start the new year slow and start building towards the price in late summer and autumn and the peak will be during next winter season like it's happening now. My projections are approx. $800 - $900 until July - September and $900 - $1000 at Christmas 2017.

Bitcoin price already hit the price of speculation and i know after this year bitcoin will be more expensive saved up your bitcoin , Bitcoin will keep increasing and it will never fall apart into bottom. Bitcoin can make higher moves at anytime and I think it is best to move slowly and grow in price than making a sudden move as big sudden moves can equally cause same kind of downward trend in price.

I think people was expecting different results from austria and italy political elections and this may have caused a dip but who knows. I think we will see further uprise but it will be slow and when it starts accelerating we may go through those dips, but we can't never know, we may see a mega 800 to 3000 pump for all I know.

Bitcoin prices are more stably trading above $740 price levels. As long as this support levels are holding we can have hope to reach $800 levels at any time. But you are talking about quick pump toward $3k levels, and I am really surprised on seeing this because I am well aware of anything will be possible with bitcoin prices.

Im pretty sure we are moving up $50 every few months with at least one retrace in 2017. We might end the next year under $1,000 still because that is such a hard psychological limit for people to buy above. Its not hard to hold up to and above $1,000 but it is very hard to pay more than $1,000 a coin and still buy multiple coins.

Thats a good assessment mate if the price continue rallying up and theres no bad news that will affect the value for sure we will see 1k $ this coming first quarter of 2017.

everything in the market right now and also the history shows that a mega pump of size $2800 is not possible and there is nobody who is willing to pay that much for bitcoin in  a short time. if pumps were possible, price would have been $1200 back at the time of block halving when everything was the hottest possible.

I know that bitcoin is really demand in india right now is india the reason why the price of bitcoin is still increasing that fast? It can be more than $800 dollars next year.

India may be one of the many reasons for the price rise, and i say maybe because if they were the main and only reason for the rise a price equivalence would have taken shape already with price going up to 800

and the reason for the higher price in India is mostly their economy which is pretty bad right now and they are looking for newer investments to survive.

And even a long term holder would prefer small and stable price appreciation than big volatile price move.

I think new year will start with $800+. It's not nervy good for my tho :p, but that will happened. And that's very bad for one reason, it will be more difficult to buy one bitcoin then because of the price.

Slower price appreciation is way more preferable than a spike in the long run, so let's hope it just keeps growing gradually.

$800 seems to be a very interesting psychological point, and that id why we have observed interesting efforts in the bitcoin price to break this level unsuccessfully twice this year, and that is why I think we will start next year with a price a little below the $800 level.

I'm pretty sure we need to resolve the debate over Segwit and blocksize before we break $800 and move towards $1000.
(Although maybe you have some inside information regarding the Chinese miners or some app that is about to be released.)

Yeah, it's nearly to be happen before the end of the month, so much fluctuate but we have a little bit increases every day.
What we need to do is to be patient and do not sell your btc yet until the price pass through $800-1000. Big whales could affected the price significantly of course, however even for people who have small amount of bitcoin in wallet but if we agreed to hold for a few months, it would be great for us.

I dont think bitcoin can reach that price on dec 31st.  Cant even pass the 800$ marked. If bitcoin pass the 800$ wall,then by december 31 it will go only at 820$ or down.

$1000 is only a 25% increase from $800 and a year is a long time to get there.

I'm actually afraid something else will happen where bitcoin prices reached $ 800 before the end of the year and in the coming year or early in 2017 will happen dumping. as we know that prices will not necessarily rise in every investment for example like a gold looks very strong but gold prices may fall.

Im believing that it could be on $800 this coming new year because we all see that bitcoin is being succesful than last year maybe next year around june or july it could be stable in $800 and even grow more in the coming time. Things are looking good for the price to go to 800$ or even a bit more at the beginnig of the next year. If some big crushes don't happen like big hacker attacks on some problems with Chinese it is very likely for bitcoin to continue to rise. Maybe some smaller dumps will happen in the meantime but that shoudn't discouarage us. When we reach 1000$ everything is possible afterwards.

I'm not sure about the above quote. I personally feel that we'll start the year from $800 or more. We are getting closer to the expected margin. At times steep increase in price makes it easily achievable. But achieving a $200 and more variation within an very short period to reach $1000 is highly impossible.

im not expecting that we could start a new year in a $800 because the price of bitcoin still not stable enough to be start on $800 ithink because of those bitcoin users that cashing out their bitcoin when its reaching $800 thats why its still on $700. but im still hoping that next year it could start on $800 and grow until it reach $1000 usd per bitcoin.

With the price crossing $790, it would be very pessimistic to expect to begin the New Year at anything less than $800. Right now, I think $830 is on the cards for Bitcoin. This holiday season is really the time to celebrate.  :)

actually it is not pessimistic at all. there is still $11 left to go ($789 right now) and it has always been harder to rise to a new price than rising to a price that existed before.

i think we're about to start a new year with a $800+ there's always surprises when its christmas just like last year bitcoin price surprises is awesome so im really sure we're gonna start with $800 price per bitcoin. but now if it hits $800 its not stable because as you can see bitcoin price change every minute. thats why if it will be stable in 2017 thats a good thing for all of us.

IT is possible that bitcoin will be at $800 Dollars anytime keep your eye on bitcoin once it totaly hit on that price i will sell all my bitcoin for chrismat and for new year i want to start my new life without bitcoin in my wallet and start earning again for 1 year I assured that bitcoin will make it again.

It really depends on you regarding on this kind of decision on which if you are a trader you will definitely sold some of your coins to secure profits specially when you bought it on a lower price and its not really a bad thing and also holding off your coins is not also a bad thing since you are waiting for the right time to sell off.

It won't if some issues like the hacking event in one of the exchanges happen again and fear ensues again. I believe bitcoins will reach $800 before the year's end no matter what!

Yep! It is looking good. We passed a resistance level that hasn't been passed in awhile so it looks like its starting to surge. I'm really looking to see what is in store for BTC in 2017!

That is right. But it is better for the price to rise slowly, no more than 15% a month, so there will not be a crash.

I think bitcoin will stay between 800-900 usd for some time. I am expecting new ATH in 2017, and the longer the coin is under previous ATH the more there is pressure under the lid of the kettle which will lead even higher ATH than otherwise.
I am not worried at all about the growth rate of bitcoin - it still is low if you look at the bigger picture. Only around 10 % in a month. There are stocks that are doing better in their bull markets.

We start at $1,000+ on the first few days of trading and now puff... The prices dropped back to $800+ and it's looking bad. Probably this is just a correction, we won't know for sure unless it bounces back to it's price before it dropped. Hoping for the best though.
