Well there is no way to confirm whether or not your news is legit, you might be just trying to stir up a hype and try to cash out on your own investment. Perhaps you are one of the people who bought in too early, too expensive :)

I understand that after some disappointment to those people who buy at high price, they will really expect for a great news again but at the same time they must accept the taste of reality that some things are not meant to happen again.

Leaked news can't dictate the possible outcome of a crypto price. It will depend on people's response and it's all about market activity at all. Just hoping that people will accept the possible fact someday.

OP must have bought a decent amount of Zcash that turned out to dip deeper.  Hype was good when zcash started but even then and with the rise of anon coins, zcash may not go up anymore becuase BTC is enough for someone to hide themselves using the mixers.

Slow Start of Zcash was created as a trap for investors - $1300+ wasn't sustainable.

It is quite likely that OP bought some of his ZCash too soon and now he is regretting. I remember when the price was over 40 BTC at one stage, just when ZCash was released and poloniex started trading it.

what most people fail to understand about altcoin prices is that when you increase the price of an altcoin with fake manipulation and lots of hype, you can not continue keeping it up there and there are so many examples each month. and when the pump is big, the lifespan of that coin seems to decrease drastically.

Your leaked info forget that the coin supply of Zcash is going up until it reaches 21 million coins. Sure the market cap may go up because of the increasing coin supply but the price will continue to drop until there are millions of coin in the market. The price is still too high and Zcash will drop to a certain point until it becomes oversold. Until then, it is not a wise choice to buy this coin.

There were such cases, but these coins are not applicable because of large number of operations need large number of coins. And if price is kept at high level less than month it's just speculation.

There is no way that serious miners/investors will put their money in Zcash now.
Especially not when every token is taxed and  20% of all mined coins are being transferred to Zcash shareholders.

The twenty percent rate is actually something that can scare any investor. I think a lot of people are investing without being aware of it. If developers really believe in the potential of the project, they should have lowered the rate to a much lower value, after all any percentage above 1%, on a market capitalization of a successful currency, would be sufficient to cover all expenses.

I see many people are propagating this fake news that zcash will go up to 1000$. Many investors are already fed up with this zcash because there is big movement and also through mining they are not getting enough coins  of too. zcash gets up? hm i don't see that the price trend is up in the poloniex and bittrex charts and i can see that the trend is only down into deep but if this is true, then the miners will be make a good profit. $1000 is is really high to reach because now the price is only $49-$53.

Zcash is lucky to be where it is.

This will never happen until the total distribution of zec already touches an equal with bitcoin. So the price of zec will still dump and pump. The holder still has a long time to go. Just move into the another crypto and take more advantages.

It was a pretty bad attempt to fud. People want to hold their Bitcoins, they don't want a decoy competitor. zcash won't even go up to 100$, let alone 1000$ talk. If it goes up like that, only stupid people buy with that price.

Zcash will go to $1000 when the price of bitcoin goes up exponentially maybe to $100,000. Other than that, the price of Zcash will not go up in bitcoin terms. Maybe it will go up in fiat terms but by then the price of everything will increase as well.

The 20% founders fee is something that definitely annoys a lot of people, and they don't trust it. ZCL can be an alternative chosen by the investors in upcoming time.

The biggest problem of Zcash is, that it was so overvaluated right from the beginning, so now everyone expecs price levels like that.
But we should all remember, how long did it take to bitcoin to reach 1k usd and Zcash project is so far behind btc (market cap, adoption, popularity, etc.), that from today's point of view, it seems impossible to reach 1k this year and honestly, I would be very surprised if it would reach even 100 usd.

I am really sad to say that you live in a hyped up world and you are ignorant .The initial price was like that because there were no coins floating in the exchanges and with the hype they had surrounding the release it was quite obvious that it will fetch a good price and i knew that the price would come down and it is simply because of the amount of money and share the core has and it will be the download of this coin.

i think this could happen. zec has been cloned many times so it doesn't have that much of impact to the community any more now that we've learned about the money of the founders. besides there are already good ones like SDC.

ZCL is going to fork and create Zencash and develop in a new direction while keeping ZCL as a ZEC clone that is for the community rather than a company of paid "professionals" who can hardly develop faster than the ZCL team. Zencash will distinguish its self with its own new features.

KMD is another ZEC competitor but it is very heavily ICO. There ae other reasons I am not all for it.

XZC is one of few coins with Zerocoin which remints the coin and simply ends the digital trail. Either XZC or ZEN will overtake ZEC after its dumped away. I wonder how many times the founders whaled out in ZEC can make a sub 30 USD price tag spike to 40 in less than a minute on the markets.

I think it's the end for this coin. Bitcoin and other good cryptos started from small prices and slowly moved to their triumh. Z-cash was worth a few thousand dollars at the beginning (which is crazy) and is now only $72. It is recovering and growing slowly but I still think it's just pumped. Yes, this coin provides more privacy and security but what else makes it special enough to become one of the best?

Sorry I don't see this happening. ZCash is even over priced right now. Its only feature is its anonymity. Yet in the recent Alphabay takedown the feds were able to analyze the blockchain and find all of the addresses used on alphabay. Yet with Monero they could not. So what does that tell you? Its just a scamcoin.

As some of you know that two of biggest Darkmarket was taken down. Alphabay and HANZA. Servers taken and police did their work with different tools to trace where money went. Mixers dont help much here.  Here is a part describing what got owner of Alphabay. 1605BTC, 8309 ETH , 3691 ZCash and guess how much of true secure, private, untraceable currency?

The market creates the ups and downs... It's not as simple as somebody telling you something, unless they've got more than a million dollars. so how about trading it through swings.

I don't believe that zcash can reach 1000usd, because it is not worth the price, I think 600usd should be similar. But I don't recommend buying, because even if you can't make a lot of money, you might as well buy other altcoin.

ZCash is nice but Zero(ZER) is much better, market cap is still low and it's a better currency, just have a look at the roadmap (http://zero-currency.com/roadmap.html), no other ZCash for comes even close.

This coin has long been in my portfolio. Similar projects are becoming very popular because of government attempts to control crypto-currencies and exchanges.

Yes, it's a consensus in the community or most of it that ZCash will shine as soon as the initial 4 years end the ridiculous distribution to investors "angels". Maybe we will see ZCash next to 0.015 BTC, which would give a perfect sign of purchase and after that, things will start to work.

While the best coins of anonymity is monero and in the near future it will not change. And your forecast is just an invention that will never justify itself. To do x10, this means to increase the capitalization of the entire market by five or six times more.

I think zcash have problems, because its incognito coin, and new regulations are problem for zcash, dash and all incognito coin.

Who will believe you ? IF zcash is on of the stupid crypto among all crypto . Start with a very huge amount but now it keeps falling and not recovering nobody will like it unless the team makes more effort into it .

It was a very bold forecast for 2016, but it almost reached this price in Jan 2018. Now the crypto is going through blood baths, so it's not important to talk about such high prices now. But it's still a very interesting and promising project. I hope it won't die due to the SEC battle against anonymised coins.

I think ZEC for $118 is so cheap now and i can recommend to buy it and HODL because i'm not so sure about $1000 in the future but sure about $200-$300 with the new bull run.
