It is quite likely that OP bought some of his ZCash too soon and now he is regretting. I remember when the price was over 40 BTC at one stage, just when ZCash was released and poloniex started trading it.

Of course, it was all hype and nothing else. He probably bought at $1000 as somebody said.

Maybe, The dev was reserving a great vacation soon. It will never touch $1000. But below $10.

January 2017 would be the month on which zcash dev will take his vacation and spending all the money that he collected on such over hype and super dumped coin. Below $10 is possible and i wont think it could able to pump again to $1k which OP is dreaming off. No one will fall again for this one.

what most people fail to understand about altcoin prices is that when you increase the price of an altcoin with fake manipulation and lots of hype, you can not continue keeping it up there and there are so many examples each month. and when the pump is big, the lifespan of that coin seems to decrease drastically.

Your leaked info forget that the coin supply of Zcash is going up until it reaches 21 million coins. Sure the market cap may go up because of the increasing coin supply but the price will continue to drop until there are millions of coin in the market. The price is still too high and Zcash will drop to a certain point until it becomes oversold. Until then, it is not a wise choice to buy this coin.

There were such cases, but these coins are not applicable because of large number of operations need large number of coins. And if price is kept at high level less than month it's just speculation.

The money you invested in Zcash has reached moon by now  .If you had some sort of common sense you would never invest in a new coin with a valuation above or same as bitcoin. If you got some leaked news from where CNN or BBC  i know you have taken money as loan from someone thinking you could double the valuation and end up being a fool  .Be careful before trading never jump into anything before knowing what it is.

The twenty percent rate is actually something that can scare any investor. I think a lot of people are investing without being aware of it. If developers really believe in the potential of the project, they should have lowered the rate to a much lower value, after all any percentage above 1%, on a market capitalization of a successful currency, would be sufficient to cover all expenses.

I see many people are propagating this fake news that zcash will go up to 1000$. Many investors are already fed up with this zcash because there is big movement and also through mining they are not getting enough coins  of too. So lot of investors in mining and as well as in trading is no updates and movement coming from the company. It is very possible. I sold small number of mined coins when the price was above $10,000. But not much profit.

zcash gets up? hm i don't see that the price trend is up in the poloniex and bittrex charts and i can see that the trend is only down into deep but if this is true, then the miners will be make a good profit. $1000 is is really high to reach because now the price is only $49-$53.

Zcash is lucky to be where it is.
Personally I think the coin is total trash and I would never invest one dollar in it, but that's another subject.

For a new coin to be worth close to $50 just shows how much the altcoin market is based purely off hype and speculation.
If you think its going to beat out BTC in price any time soon, I would like some of the drugs you are smoking because you are high as hell LOL.

Polo was making a profit for the dev. It may be worth as equal with ETH. Or below than ETH. But it seems this thread has made for FUD. and OP wanna get his lost amount from ZEC. Bitcoin still be the wise decision for invest. Let watch what happen if the supply will be touching over 1 million.
