Title: Launched : CryptoGiveaways.org - Faucet - Claim BTC, OK, EMC2, OZC, GRN and DMD
Post by: batesresearch on December 13, 2016, 02:34:22 PM
https://cryptocloudhosting.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/CryptoGiveaways.png   (http://CryptoGiveaways.org)

Website: https://cryptogiveaways.org (https://cryptogiveaways.org)

Our project launched on: 28th Jan 2017
Our startup lineup will be: BTC, EMC2, GRN, DMD, OKCASH, OZC

https://cryptocloudhosting.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/dgbw.png

https://cryptocloudhosting.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/cgawf.png

Following on from our main thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1025843) we are reaching out to see if we can get some response for our idea to increase our starting lineup for our giveaway site.  Our project is in development!

To have a cryptocurency added to the giveaway site, we are first looking at active / developing cryptocurrencies and will need the commitment of them funding the giveaway site for atleast 6 months (We will be stocking up the giveaway site with atleast 1 years worth of funds for each cryptocurrency with us purchasing the other 6 months worth of funds). We are also looking at each cryptocurrency giving feedback and input on the site - looking at how we can improve the giveaway site and maybe incorporate more features into it.

Our final starting linenup will be announced a few days before we launch.

Looks nice platform, but i see your capture interface looks like it's similar like faucet? With including some altcoin. I requested ETH coin for adding to line up ;D

What your features plan? it will be nice if the features is not faucet, but some features which giving away some coins by doing a small task, like your slogan site.

Thanks.

Yep we are a faucet but no adverts, pop ups etc. ETH would be a good edition, I'll keep this note but will need some more discussions on this!

Our site is built to be a simple as possible, but to also include more information than usual from a faucet for the cryptocurrencies on the site, with service links, site links, block explorer links, full specifications and also a beginners section to help people get into crypto!

This seems to be a great project, but as you know there will be a lot of people getting most of the giveaways.
I have a simple question, how will this project survive, who is gonna fund the crypto addresses.

The site isn't live yet, launch date should be announced soon.

DASH/DRK and DOGE are good ideas thanks, will discuss this more as would like support from the respective communities.

I have a simple question, how will this project survive, who is gonna fund the crypto addresses.

For the first year donation addresses are funded from a community donation and matched by a donation by me personally (To equate to 1 years worth of claims), if the claim limit is hit within the 24hr period then the donation address form will be displayed instead of the claim form.

Of course as we gets statistics on the site we may increase the claim amounts and claim periods.

The way I understand this is that they are giving away whatever they receive from donations? So if you want to launch a new Coin and want to give away some free coins, then you signup for this and you fund this feature through donations. Right? This site just makes it possible for people to find multiple giveaways on one site. So if someone came here for say, Bitcoin then they automatically get exposed to other new coins too. Do I understand this correctly?

Add some LiteCoin & DogeCoin ^smile^

This is good solutions, but there's a possibility if no one will donate to your site, how you will solve this? The balance funding by your revenue?

That is why we want to work with the actual cryptocurrency communities to ensure they have input into the site and aslong as their donation addresses are funded their module (A sample module is shown below) will be active on the site.

https://cryptocloudhosting.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/image1.png

Aswell as working with the cryptocurrency communities I have funds coming in from my hosting site (CryptoCloudHosting.org (http://CryptoCloudHosting.org)) and via mining aswell which I will put towards the addresses.

Will you also be generating revenue through advertisements, or purely from donations from the Altcoin communities/devs?
It would be cool to get this running without advertisements, or at least non-obnoxious ones.

Looks pretty good, I must say.

No, no advertisements at all in the sense of banners / pop ups etc on the site. Yep just purely from donations

Thanks.

how about making a marketplace where webmasters can promote their website via giveaways ?

you will have users in a side and websites in the other side.

I like the idea, this is the way I view CryptoGiveAways.org that if a developer/community wants to promote their crypto they can do it via CryptoGiveAways giveaway system.

Indirectly,it's basically a collection of different faucets at one place which is great but can you block giveaway abusers in your Beta launch ? I'm sure you will face these problems in the future if bots start sucking coins out from different IP's every time.

The system we have built up to now which will be used at launch is all manual (in relation to payouts), the system has some automatic fraud detection already but using the data we collect we will be building further detection systems.

I think live data is the best way for us to produce the best detection system, i'm looking forward to seeing the live raw data so we can build more with it

Your main thread started last 2015, but I just noticed it today :o I know you already had your Alpha Testing (as I've read on the thread). Anyway, it is a great idea to have a site like this. BTC is the most known and I think your site can also help other coins to be recognized by crypto users. All seemed to be well planned already. I'll just wait the launch to try out the site. Good luck :)

The crypto faucet idea is very good, but the site is not working. The main point would be to make withdraw possible after short time, so this can be quite popular among users.

Nope, it's not live yet. Launch date will be announced soon but the actual launch isn't far off!

While we will be working with the live data from the launch, payouts will be manually processed at set intervals.

Hi guys,

We are set to launch on the 28th January with the below cryptocurrencies. We plan to add more cryptocurrencies after we have examined the data from running the site for around 2 months and after full automation is complete. Our website will mainly run off donations but will topped up from us on occasion. We do have donations already from some of these communities (thanks guys!)

Our website donation addresses are:

We would need someone willing to donate around 0.075 BTC to 0.1 BTCs worth of DOGE and to help us maintain all the data on DOGE i.e. block explorers, exchanges, services etc.

Coin which added in your site is only from coin developer?
What about new altcoin, do you accept altcoin new?
If developer who run new ico, can they use your site?

No problem. Coins can be suggested by anybody, along as you are willing to help support the coin in terms of donating to the donation address and/or helping us maintain the coins information.

New altcoins are accepted yes, we have had a few requests already for this and are happy to host exclusive giveaways if they like. The logistics of running an ICO from the site needs to be designed but we are open to ideas.

Good to know, one more question do you have ways how to avoid the cheater?

Cheater is a big problems in online world and giveaways site, i know you can't 100% prevent the cheater but at least you can reduce the cheater.

They can implement strict IP rules. One user per IP.However VPN's and proxies will have a way out.But if they take measures for checking the forwarded ports and blacklisting the detected proxy networks, the cheaters can be reduced drastically.Detecting proxy connections are easy but somehow VPN's will still have a way out...

Testing the site and trying to ensure all is up to date for the launch on the 28th. We are reviewing Newbie section information and ensuring all coin modules are up to date.

GRN / OZC donations are due in on the 28th so we will aim to be live by around 20:00 GMT.

BTC still needs funding but we are just waiting for the funds to be released it top it up.

If you're running this like a faucet site, you'll want to consider highlighting the Big 4 (BTC, DOGE, LTC, ETH) as faucet users will be able to add to their lists. But I understand you're also going for exposure for other ALTs so you might want to feature a new ALT each week, with perhaps 4 others highlighted each month.

If just getting more alts out there to more people is the main objective, then the above should work.

Be wary that you will have to implement very good anti-bot systems. This is the #1 reason faucets fail.

We reached out to the DOGE community and LTC community quite a bit back but had no feedback or support off them, the coins present on the site now (Besides BTC of course) all showed their support with feedback and donations. After launch we'll reach back out to different crypto communities and see if they provide feedback then and if they would like to be on the faucet.

Thanks for your feedback. During the first few months all claims will be manually paid while we test and enchance our spam/fraud systems. After that their performed will be closely monitored

I disagree with the faucet concept (at least there are other things like bounty of social media), but it doesn't matter, live updates with sub forum on your site, To enlarge the community.

Good job brother.

Thats nice idea. I have a doubt. Is this a different type of faucet? Why you are giving anybody money for free? Who is going to fund you?
If you are going to use ads it will become a faucet with different style. Whats your profit in it if you are going to give free money to anyone?
Acually why you are doing this and what is your actual aim behind this site? Or its just like any other faucet with a different or unique style with multicurrency option? Anyway your idea is good ,hope you will get a lot of visitors. All the best for your new project.

Yes a faucet is simply a device that controls the flow (Of water yes!) - First we will launch the site and second we will implement our ideas for generating revenue - This ideas will come - be detailed and be implemented - watch the project  ;D

It looks and works good even in mobile, I like its responsiveness (though the logo becomes small). jhenfelipe - Thanks! We took authentication off the site last night so anyone could visit it - We didn't announce it but I thought we would wake up to some claims  ;D - Nothing has been announced yet (Via Social media etc - I was waiting for the funds from one of the Devs)

Did you receive your email? Seems we have a delay on them being sent out

We are having issues with BTC claims being sent via the wallet but I am working on that. It seems all the testing in the world works ---> site goes live ----> things don't work!. We did give ourselves a 24Hr window to send claims so time to work on it.

Aah I see, good thing that you already knew the issues and start fixing it. For me, no worries since I'm just excited to see how things will work in the site. Anyway, goodluck to you and your team.

We have been working on our background output, we are happy to announce that (most) of the backend issues have been ironed out (None of the background issues affect the front end eitherway!)

Please visit CryptoGiveAways.org (https://cryptogiveaways.org) and claim some free Bitcoin, Diamond, Granite, Ozziecoin, Einsteinium and OK!

Our Bitcoin payments will be sent in bulk - at set intervals.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for everyone's input!

Most of the activity is going to plan on the site but after the first batches of BTC claims were sent yesterday we have noticed that they still aren't confirmed. So it seems all altcoin claims are working fine but BTC processing isn't!

Updated - 21:11 29th Jan
Ok, we have got to the bottom of the issue and me not keeping up to date with the latest developments and a switch from a custom set up wallet (Due to a system crash!!) have caused this issue!

The claims sent yesterday were:
16 x BTC Claims, TX ID: 6465d754f3fd510b2bcf73869b7442a7e329b6207a84e26d59d339fffa1582b1 @ 2017-01-28 12:18:03
18 x BTC Claims, TX ID: 57cc2b51ed9141a29a68bca3283d424669f178bca2085220f1aa6b1defad4e85 @ 2017-01-29 01:30:35

These are deemed as below the standard dust limit and due to this they might not (Some miners do have a lower limit but most don't) be picked up by a miner (So most likely won't be confirmed and thus the claimant wont receive their claim).

So we are implementing a quick fix! Any BTC claims since launch and so fourth will be collected and stored in our DB with a counter - each time you claim with the same EMAIL and BTC address this will be added to our DB and after 10 claims we will issue the payment (This will bulk our payments together so they won't be classed a 'dust' and thus will be confirmed on the network!

great idea mate ...

but this 'dust factor' is going to continue due to the very small amounts being supplied via the btc daemon ...

what do you think would be a better workaround to this? ...

Hey,

Us paying the claims as a bulk (Grouping the 10 claims together) will gives us room to be above the standard coded minimum relay fee and should hopefully resolve this issue.

yup - would be feasible if that is the case ...

though would take longer to payout though wouldnt it? ...

Yep! That's the issue (Well not exactly an issue but more an unwanted outcome of this issue arising!)

We have updated the site (front-end) to notify claimants of this - People are still submitting claims for BTC as we speak so all seems good.

Update: 30th Jan 2017: 12:40
The below transactions, have now been removed from BlockChain.info and these will be kept in our database and further associated claims will be linked to them and once they reach 10 claims the claims will be paid.

- 16 x BTC Claims, TX ID: 6465d754f3fd510b2bcf73869b7442a7e329b6207a84e26d59d339fffa1582b1 @ 2017-01-28 12:18:03
- 18 x BTC Claims, TX ID: 57cc2b51ed9141a29a68bca3283d424669f178bca2085220f1aa6b1defad4e85 @ 2017-01-29 01:30:35

(List of BTC addresses can be provided if required)

All the claims from the site launching are safe in our database!

Ah I thought that, I'm just not in a inquisitive mood.

Well they are not exactly banned as we want to build defenses against bots like these and we can't defend against them if we don't have data about them and their activities.
