when I woke up from sleep, and try to see the price of bitcoin, I was amazed to see the price of bitcoin nearly $ 800 price. This is really incredible. of for so long, finally bitcoin back has a high price. maybe, just take a little while longer, until the price of bitcoin increase by more than $ 200, and reached a price of $ 1,000.

$900 is the next goal and I hope to see it by Christmas.

I hope like that, bitcoin performance in this year is very wonderful, halving day is the best moment to make bitcoin popular. Agree!  Congratulations to all that believed and held!  800.00 is a huge psychological point in my opionion, I think it can blow through 900 easily at this point.

In India, the price if bitcoin there is huge. $900 a piece. So i think the price will increase more. I think we are going to $900  a piece anytime soon. This will be our gift this christmas. So brace yourselves guys. Hold bitcoin as it will go higher and higher. Theres more to come when we are at 2017.

The big psychological point is $1000.  Once that is breached, all bets are off.

finally bitcoin reach $800 price and i am happy to see this. i see on the chart, it seem the price will go up more, so i will be waiting for next moment for this. maybe the prediction will be happen that bitcoin price will reach $1000. i think its a gift for the new year and i hope the next year will be better than last year.

Of course but 4900 by the end of this month? I hardly doubt it, right now if someone decides to sell an extra of 200 bitcoins price will dump under $750 and what we are seeing is the steady growth and stable mining and selling with demand on other side, and hopefully will keep this pace for $950 and above $1k in mid 2017.

i personally have set $800 as a goal before christmas, luckily i have done by now!
the next one must be $1,000 in early 2017 or so, i wouldn't expect more as it is enough.
a big achievement indeed to close the year of 2016 in sweet way, just keep holding everyone!

I hope this continues and no dips happen in the near future. However, if it dives, I would totally sell off all my property and buy bitcoins because I know bitcoins will bounce back and even triple that $800 when it bounces back. I am really hopeful wit bitcoins and I would really love to see it rise up and see a future where I can go into a store and pay with bitcoins.

dude Christmas (according to google) is Sunday, December 25 which means 4 days from now. everyone wants a bigger price but it is not healthy and not even possible to rise $100 in 4 days.

Or one could say they are celebrating the death of the fiat monetary system with another superior system.

Bitcoin didn't just reach 800, it strutted over that goal line like it was nothing. $806.77 this second, who knows what it will be when we wake up tomorrow morning. Bulls are on parade, I make more from the bitcoin price continuously rising than I do from my day job. But I have my day job so I can hodl.

It's good to see that we are finally sitting above the $800 levels, but I don't think we'll be able to maintain it for very long. It's too soon yet, I know, but it's practically impossible to keep the price there at its first attempt. Large players securing profits will push the price back to $780-$790 again. But that's not really a big deal. It leaves some room for traders to scoop up some extra profits.

Hope that the bitcoin upswing can sustain the "momentum" till it reach the $1000 level or maybe break another record next year. Many predictions are in favor of that leading digital currency and some have a high hopes that 2017 could be the best year for the bitcoin.

what are all of you talking about? bitcoin price was > 800$ in China for quite a while
do not quote european or japanese or american exchanges they are not the trendsetters
chinese exchanges are,those who understand monitor prices as well as volumes there
I expect to see some movement on Friday-Saturday and we shall see what the price is going to be

China is indeed the leading market, and you're right, the price on Chinese exchanges has been at $800s already, but people here put more value in seeing the USD exchanges reach $800.

Right now I am very happy to see that we finally managed to touch $800 and go over it, and I am sure other people are being happy as well.

I just hope it will be a sustainable increase as I am expecting some dumps to happen any time soon. Or people must be so confident that the price will increase further, that they will continue hodling.

i'm also holding strong for 10k no matter what and how much i need to wait, btw i'mcurious about how many that bought at the last ath are still holding

I woke up early morning.and check for the updates then boom. Bitcoin reached the $800 and breaks the $700 barrier. I saw bitstamp and my xapo wallet prices and theres a bitc diffrence on the price. $811 on xapo and $806 on bitstamp. Now im waiting for $850+ price until the year 2016 ends. 4 digits right is impossible so $850+ is more real to me. China is in demand of bitcoin thats why it triggers a huge price there. I think theres more pumping will happen.

It was only a matter of time before $800 was surpassed.


They might get back their money, but with no returns after ~4 years. It is preferable to a loss, but it won't make most people happy.

Just wake up so that is great to see now it's over $800 finally. Great surprise before Christmas sooner it will go more high because now I'm very optimistic :-*

hah  :D Lets hope it comes as fast as $800 came. I was expecting $800 to be around the tail end of the year, like 30th-31st maybe go into new year, but well I'm happy to see bitcoin reach 800 even before Christmas.

Im really glad that bitcoin price reached $800 price now and its still rising upto now and even its already on $814 -816. I dont have any idea on the exact reason why bitcoins price suddenly achieved this milestone in no time and even theres a possibility that could able to reach $900/btc if this movement will continue.

Over $13 billion, nice. I didn't even check the marketcap. It doesn't seem that long ago that we dipped under $200 per bitcoin. Hopefully we continue to rise & rise over the coming years.

The same story happen to me this morning. Such fast temps of grow is just amazing. If bitcoin will continue pretty soon we will see the price 1000$ Per 1 BTC.

I doubt we will see $1k in this leg up. The rally is speeding up its pace, which is a sign of running slowly out of steam. That means, we should first be back to test the $700 levels before going further up, in the first place. How far we go then depends on how deep the coming correction is. Step by step.

I own a two digits number of bitcoin, and about the same amount in euros on my bank account. The euros are going down by the day, and the bitcoins up. I'm really tempted to buy more, but it's so high right now, it's scary to think it could crash to half this or less.

$1000 is indeed too much to happen in such a short time, and honestly speaking, I don't want it to continuously keep going up. At some point you can bet on it that the price will get dumped down again. That's why I prefer a slower growth over peaks. In that point, you're right, step by step building up the price is much better than just speeding up to something we know from that it will only result in dumps.

It is people like OP that helped Bitcoin's price to go up really fast lately. They keep saying that Bitcoin is over and done. They also say the price "should" go down. The minute they realize they are wrong they hurry up and buy at market because they are scared they might miss the big move. They did not realize that they are the big move and the whales dump on them.

Second I am not a Kwukduck alt account but I think you are an alt account of someone because you are registered last 2013 and yet you have very few posts. Maybe you are a bought account. it is possible only because it is bitcoin we are talking about, and we have seen many strange things happen.

but in my speculation, the chances of that happening is a bit low right now. because of the big rise that has happened prior to this, i think the support is getting thin. so it needs more time to build up the support then go up.
in other words: more time needed!

Im starting to see it through your eyes. This is now officially the last day of the year so if btc is going to make it, it's got to start going up right about now. I've seen some hard bounces so its possible but not very likely.
