Friends is that good news that bitcoin will touch 1200$ in January 2017...?

No, I don't think we will reach 1200$ by 2017. The rise has been too fast, we will get down pretty soon and pretty hardly. Let's tell it, we've all started dreaming again, even me. The newcomers are now having the feeling that they are in the "ATH story" that so many people are telling again and again. But to be frank, in that ATH, the most memorable is the hard downtrend that followed. I don't think we'll escape that patern. I greatly hope that I'm wrong, because my savings would be worth a lot more, but I think I'm right.

It could easily touch it in a few days when the banks open tomorrow, people will wire money to exchanges, there maybe a surge around the 7th or 8th Jan...

I usually would say no as we have gone up considerably already, but this bull run has no end it seems. It's a bit too soon to hope for the price to remain above the $1000 level, but that would be a nice target for 2017. Other than that, my feelings that a deep correction will show up any time soon have not gone away. Nothing goes up without a correction in the runup to even higher prices. I don't take any price for granted. I'm too long in Bitcoin to know that anything can happen.

Just to cross 1000 is possible very possible but to see him higher that may wait for another on theor two maybe end of this month will be key for this to pprice goes over 1000 at all

I think it will reach 1,100$ in january, 2017 then it will be down under 1000$ (850$-900$) for 2 or 3 months before it hits 1,500$ in May, 2017.
that is my thought . Buy and hold bitcoin now . this is best way to get more earning.

yeah it is a good new's but I honestly think that it wont touch 1200$ in this month but who know's bitcoin is getting higher and higher so let's just see if it can get high.

I thought the price could be $1000 in February or March. But it already reached $1000. It is rising so fast.

Back to the old glory.  :) Although is Bitcoin price going rapidly up these days 1200$ seems little to much. But on the other hand the month has jus begun and everything is still possible if the price continue this way. I think that we are all little affraid of inevitable dump in some moment because for a long time the price is climbing up and for that reason we are a bit affraid to expect 1200.

What goes up must come down. Depending on how fast and how much it goes up, it will go down harder and more. I'd rather have btc  reaching 1200 in 3-4 months by building up a steady support than rushing it in a month. Quick gains call for quick and vicious corrections and that's something we don't want to happen.

We are already near $1050 right now and its only 2nd day of january so i think we will see bitcoin price at $1200 by end of this january. However i can't say price will remain higher than $1200 after it touches that price range, because price is pumping really hard so a small price correction is quite predictable.

Increase in bitcoin now includes a fast, although fluctuating but bitcoin prices continue to rise. I believe that prices are still going up in a few months because now a lot of factors that support the bitcoin prices to rise. Bitcoin prices touched $ 1,200 I think it will happen in early February, so it is impossible the price of bitcoin will touch that number in January. Because to be able to touch $ 1,200 bitcoin still have need processes and fluctuations will occur so it can not touch that number by too fast.

it needs a while for the $1050 and i think it will happen today, because i see on the market, the price is getting up and the trend is still up. it can be real that the price will be reach in $1100 in this january but we only can make prediction for the price.

It is difficult to predict anything right now as Bitcoin is surprising everyone. I am just enjoying the current trend because situation is much better and different than last mega pump of few years ago. Now Bitcoin has proved time tested and anything can be expected as this is just start of month. I will not exclude the price prediction to become true.

It will take sveral more years to prove test the bitcoin.

Anyway, I think 1200 dollars is perfectly doable. We are not going to correct any time soon, it's all smooth sailing until the ATH, probably we will see some resistance out there due the psychological factor of arriving to the last ATH which is understandable since most people are scared pussies, but until we go through it and weak hands are shaken. we will march towards 2xxx+. It's set in stone.

This goal can not be reached in January, 2017. Maybe it will be at 1,100$ if everything is good.
The price has passed over 1,000$ that is a big success . This is second time we can see this price starting from the year of 2013
Many bitcoin investors have won a big reward if They bought and hold it from the price of 700$-800$.

I am enjoying the current rush as well, but I am also realistic enough to know that it can't keep going up endlessly.

Usually we were experiencing fud articles or hacked exchanges to push the price back down at the time it went up big time, but so far nothing has happened yet.

I don't know for how long this can continue without some sort of a panic effect going through the markets. Don't forget that the higher the price is, the sooner people are ready to push the sell button.

Yes, I agree with you . This price of 1,200$ is easy to reach in january , 2017.
If it hits 1,200$ in this month, Maybe it will reach at 2,000$ in May or June , 2017.
and Bitcoin will be considered as Gold or Diamond of digital currency at that time.

I remember the last time the prices were this high. It was the same time of year about 3 years ago I think. I expect the price to come back down but hopefully it won't drop into the $200's again like last time. I could see it drop to the $500 to $600 range but nobody knows.

I strongly believe bitcoin prices could reach 1200USD in the month of january 2017. the current bitcoin price movements are very fast and stable. I even dare to mention that the price of bitcoin will reach 1400USD.

$1200 in this month is possible but I prefer to not expect too much, just wait and enjoy the show.
When it reached $1000, I find it a matter of course because it's inevitable as bitcoin created that way, limited supply and higher demand cause the price always increases.

Do you want to say that its just 'impossible' for BTC to reach 1200$ within this month, then no its not completely impossible it can and it can very easily but most likely it won't. If you look at the price graph of bitcoin over several years after every big rise there was a fall of equal magnitude.

Yes, I agree with you. The poll is useless and also a pump (not a common rise) is always associated with a fall following it. I think we'd better retract at 800$ than reaching 2000$ and falling like crap to 600$ or even lower and damage Bitcoin's image for a while.

That is right. It is better for the price to rise slowly, say 10% a month.

Last time around, we had an extremely rapid rise in prices. The price increased by 10x in a matter of a couple of months. That isn't the case now.
The run up can be termed rapid in terms of what other assets are used to; For Bitcoin this is gradual increase.

That drastic/dramatic drop back in 2013 was due to the bubble made back then, but that's not the same case here.
Bitcoin price has risen because of order and demand not rumors, so, $1200 in January could be very possible giving what we have seen so far.

you guys are so funny to read. I remember people discussing if $15 if overbought and rising too fast :) little did they know. *never* underestimate bitcoins ability to swing widely. we could reach 1100 in two hours. when it finally goes parabolic, it gains 20-30% per day.

I will be surprised if it's going to happen. I think bitcoin will jump around 1000$ all this month. When it will rising higher than 1000$ people will cash out their bitcoins and that will provoke the fall of the price and it will go down under 1000$ point.

It is really difficult to understand the price growth at this moment but if the momentum continues it might reach new heights without any doubt but i am waiting for a dip any moment from now so that guys like me can enter the coin after missing this opportunity to cash in when the bubble happened as i did not have a clue that the price would jump in a few hours after touching 800 dollars.

It can happen all look not happen panic selling when prices touched $ 900- $ 1000 is obvious now all been smart and not be a panic just to make a profit. i can said now impossible to seeing manipulation price as before.

I am feeling a bit nostalgic when I look back to this thread, when price was just above 1000$. We are now above 4000$, that is simply incredible...
