Title: Unconfirmed transactions 54 hours Post by: bitdoge on January 08, 2017, 12:55:26 AM I sent the transaction 8631f49dab0e8db4d9605b1fb1d4d1b7074c78d203a8cbf26e76f40ada3c1c3e 0.03 BTC of web wallets blockchain. It's been 54 hours and still not confirmed. Are my Bitcoin lost forever? How can I fix? Yet I had never happened, and the longest I waited 8 hours. I am a regular user. :o
Title: Re: Unconfirmed transactions 54 hours Post by: Xanidas on January 08, 2017, 01:05:49 AM you paid a very low fee of 10k satoshi for 1,847bytes of transaction size so it will you a long time before it gets a confirmation specially if there are lots of unconfirmed transactions in the network that are waiting to be confirmed by the miners. you should pay atleast 90 satoshis/byte as shown here

Before sending out a transaction, check how busy the network is. I check https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx If the mempool size is under 5MB, even your fee would have been ok (eith a few hours wait time maybe). But now the network is busy and your fee is lower than most, so your waiting time is big. There's still a good chance your transaction will be processed in the next 12-24h, maybe more, maybe less, and if it's not processed it's never lost, it returns to the sender wallet, which is yours. Thank you Normally the coins are returned after around 72 hours (depending on your wallet). This have been mentioned all over the place when people ask for this kind of question: you can contact either Quickseller (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=358020) or macbook-air (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=16114) to help you. You can also submit your transaction ID to viabtc (https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/) or just try CPFP by spending the bitcoins from that transaction and use higher fee. This may be a good idea to do. And your transaction will be dropped by the network as long as nobody rebroadcasts it (if you're using bitcoin core rebroadcasting unconfirmed transactions is automatic). Once the transaction is dropped you'll be able to send again. As unless you're using bitcoin core the refunded bitcoins may not be returned. 54 hours is quite a long time to wait for a transaction to be sent (they normally don't take that long). EDIT: you can't use that site as the transaction fee is too low (you have 0.0001BTC/~1800 bytes) Title: Re: Unconfirmed transactions 54 hours Post by: NeuroticFish on January 08, 2017, 02:00:47 AM I am not 100% sure, but from what I know you can get from Blockchain.info your private key and import it into core wallet if the things went wrong with the transaction and the money doesn't show up in the web wallet.
Edit: it's confirmed now, so the thread can be locked. |
