2.5 Hours & No Confirmations

I send 1.06 bitcoin earlier to another address & there are 0 confirmations 2.5 hours later.

No shit your transaction is taking a while. It is ~6.5 Kb in size. The average transaction is around 0.25 Kb in size. The fee is too small as it is only 53 satoshis/byte.

It is impossible to say. There are a lot of transactions that are both smaller and paying a higher fee than you so if your transaction does confirm, you will likely be waiting several more hours, perhaps a few days.

I have the same problem like yours. Maybe you spended a very small fee of transaction If you pay 0.0004btc, it will be confirmed in 30 minutes or lower 30 minutes. Good luck to you.

Double spend it. After 72 hours most nodes should have forgotten about it.

This have been mentioned all over the place when people ask for this kind of question: you can contact either Quickseller or macbook-air to help you. You can also submit your transaction ID to viabtc or just try CPFP by spending the bitcoins from that transaction and use higher fee.
And your transaction will be dropped by the network as long as nobody rebroadcasts it (if you're using bitcoin core rebroadcasting unconfirmed transactions is automatic). Once the transaction is dropped you'll be able to send again.

I have no idea how to double spend, I'm not all that techie gifted.

I've messaged Quickseller to see if he can help me.

Edit - Took about 3.5 hours in the end but I finally got a confirmation. The necessary 2nd & 3rd confirmations followed soon after.
I rarely ever use bc.i, most of my stash is in cold storage but I fancied selling what I've earnt over the past year or so from signature campaigns.

I've learnt my lesson, don't use bc.i standard fees. I always pay high fees when using Core to get quick confirmations but messed up here.

Getting a confirmation is always the easiest solution

I think the transaction is normally refunded within 7 days afer not confirmation.
If the intial coins were sent from somewhere lie a mobile wallet, in future, you can add to the transaction fee once it's been sent.
If not and are using a wallet that doesn't check if coins are refunded, you can always import the private keys into bitcoin core to try to get those coins back (although it is obviously simper to set a higher fee).

normally it only takes 2-3days before a transaction is dropped from the memory pool if not confirmed in that time
it depends, some wallets will automatically rebroadcast it using the same input to the same output with the same transaction fee
