That is definitely true. Looks promising though, especially that you have an API already. Could be documented better(than nothing) :P

looking good. because it is open source
but the order input is very hard. one side you have the orderbook. then click on new order and orderbook is gone. so i dont know what to input in the fields..

Please read the link in my sig first. Also realize that the moment you deposit any coins, they are worth less than before you deposited - bitcoin IOUs are not bitcoins, etc.

i retried your order input mask... its a bit buggy.. text is not correct.. insufficient fund error message
please have a look at btc-e trading mask.. i think this is the perfect format!

thank you. order form is already looking better
two improvements:
- by default fill in the lowest/highest ask/bid price of the orderbook. always the right number wheter a user wants to buy or sell. btc-e does it this way. so the user is fast if he wants todo a instant order. just input the amount of BTC and done. no thinking about the price ;)
- show the current balance of btc above the order form. if user clicks on the balance -> take the whole balance into the order form. maybe someone wants to sell everything at market price ;)

I was wondering if you plan any future support for feathercoin? Since there seems to be a lack of exchanges for this.

Yes, I'll spend a day on it when I have some time. Just need to set up server for it, make sure it's litecoind compatible and do a port). How popular would you say it is compared to Litecoin?

It is a branch off of Litecoin. I predict possible future popularity based on that.

I have just one question...what is a NOK?

The site looks great...anything that makes XRP and BTC easier is a great thing for all crypto-currencies, and yours has a polished feel not far off from my first experience with Coinbase.  Great Job!

I would personally love to see DGC up there, as I think DigitalCoin has a high probability of adoption by more than just computer users.  Marriage with your open-source exchange could solidify that gain.

We have added support for EUR deposits using SEPA/SWIFT and opened up a BTC/EUR order book. (Buy/sell BTC for EUR)

Great, will try out next week and send in some funds once my account is verified.

Just saw your withdrawals terms.
Is there any dateline when you can perform international withdrawals?

Withdrawals
- Due to bank fees the minimum withdrawal amount is 250 NOK.
- At this time we will only send money by ordinary domestic bank transfers to Norwegian bank accounts owned by the respective member. A bank transfer is sent within two bank days.

I couldn't see your orderbooks without registering. That can be a mistake. Without seeing what kind of prices, spreads and volume you have, many users won't register.
Demanding personal details and phone verification for every kind of members, even the ones that only do deposits and withdraws in bitcoins might be another mistake. Too much mistakes can kill an exchange.

Agreed! This is in the making and will be implemented soon. Both our landing page and graphs are quite new.

It should be possible to deposit, withdraw and trade digital currency without registering personal information. Phone number is the exception due to security. We use it to perform secure password resets.

Thank you for your feedback, this is much appreciated. If you have any other questions or issues with Justcoin please feel free to contact us at support@justcoin.com :).

Hello, thank you for the explanation. Just for the record, I decided not to complete my registration because of the phone verification. If the goal is security, you could implement an email confirmation for certain acts, like BTC-E. But it's your decision. Good luck.

We are looking for market makers in our BTC-EUR market. In addition to arbitrage opportunities we would like to offer reduced trading fee for those willing to trade a significant volume in this market. This will only be offered in a start-up period for this market to raise the liquidity.

Please send me a mail at klaus@justcoin.com if you are interested in this.  :)

Hi all,

One of the most exciting payment networks is Ripple, which is being developed by OpenCoin Inc. Most active members of the Bitcointalk forum have been hearing about Ripple for the last six months from both XRP give-aways and heated discussions.

Last week we were given access to the source code, which allows us to operate a node in the Ripple network and stay up to date with the product development.

Running our own node and having a complete, local copy of the ledger means lower ping-times and greater stability, which we're sure the many Ripple enthusiasts of Justcoin will enjoy.

Ripple confuses me to the point of migraine setting in...

What is it more than an exchange of exchanges?

Is there any difference trading BTC.XRP on ripple.com vs. justcoin.com? (assuming I set justcoin as my exchange on ripple) Are the orderbooks exactly the same?

Also, is NOK.XRP coming to Justcoin?

Title: Re: Justcoin · Secure Bitcoin Exchange from Norway (BTC/EUR)
Post by: akaman on September 12, 2013, 04:01:27 AM
Yes, when you trade BTC/XRP on Justcoin, you're using our order book which is made up of offers created by our customers. When you use the Ripple exchange, you're dealing only with the Ripple network.

I think my question was ill-phrased. For any currency conversion you need an issuer (and only one at a time). If I set Justcoin as issuer, then the same orderbook appears on ripple.com/client as on Justcoin:

http://i.troll.ws/f1e05792.png

so, trading with this orderbook either on ripple.com/client or justcoin.com is the same thing, correct?

Also, is NOK.XRP coming to Justcoin?

Not at this time. If we create every pairing of currencies, it would fill up your screen. That's why we always use BTC as the base pair (BTC/NOK, BTC/EUR, BTC/LTC, BTC/XRP)

I agree pairing every currency makes no sense. Justcoin is, however, the only exchange to offer entry to BTC from NOK, so NOK.XRP just makes sense as anyone entering from NOK otherwise have to convert to BTC and then to XRP.

In any case, suppose you were to support NOK.XRP, then could you answer this theoretical query:

Would supporting NOK.XRP mean you'd have to issue NOK IOUs which I could then theoretically trade for another currency (fiat or crypto) with a second exchange? (not that anyone else does so now, but that might change in the future)

To do so, I would have to extend a trust level with Justcoin up to the amount of NOK I wanted to trade. Also, I would have to extend trust for the EUR I'm buying from the other exchange. Suppose I then redeem my EUR for cash. Did the other exchange now just inherit my (theoretical) Justcoin NOK IOUs?

and this is where the migraine starts...

Hi, the service looks good so far. One thing I'd like to see is the ability to leave orders pending, to be activated when the funds needed for them arrive. Pretty much like Gox does, or at least used to do it. For one, this would solve the issue of having to manually calculate how many BTC you can get at a given rate before placing the order. You could just enter a bid for, say, 10 BTC @ 100 EUR and only the portion of the bid you have funds to cover would go into the orderbook. If you had 900 EUR in  your account, this would create a "live" bid for 9 BTC and leave a bid for 1 BTC pending, for when you either deposit more EUR or sell BTC.

There are other ways to remove the need to calculate BTC amounts, like a "use all funds available" button when placing a bid, but this would also allow users to be a bit less hands-on with placing and removing bids as the market moves. It's pretty crude, and using a bot would be much more powerful, but for someone just trying to catch peaks and drops it would make things a lot easier, not having to manually add a bid every time a sell nets more EUR into one's account.

It can, of course, be a bit dangerous to have pending bids and asks, if you forget they're there... Also I seem to recall Gox removed or at least considered removing this type of feature as it was supposedly contributing to their lag issues. Still, maybe worth thinking about?

Your exchange looks promising. I might sell a few coins there.

I can't find any information about the legal part. Do you have an ok from the Norwegian state? Or just how likly is it that the your gorvernment gets pissed and freezes my coins?

I can't find any information about the legal part. Do you have an ok from the Norwegian state? Or just how likly is it that the your gorvernment gets pissed and freezes my coins?

By precedent, extremely unlikely. In my view, you would not be at more risk holding fiat/crypto with Justcoin than fiat in a Norwegian bank.

Norwegian authorities have been cited in several Norwegian outlets as actively working on taxation issues concerning bitcoin. Here's an official at the Norwegian Tax Administration in early September:

"Bitcoins has many similarities with common currencies, although they do not fall under the definition [as a currency] in the currency law. With regards to tax law, however, bitcoins is an economic asset with economic benefits that can be derived or lost."

Source: http://e24.no/digital/norske-myndigheter-vil-skattlegge-bitcoins/21526987

Thus, by definition, income derived by trading bitcoin is taxeable in Norway. I do not think that you, as a non-Norwegian citizen trading on a Norwegian exchange (i.e. Justcoin), necessarily would need to pay income/capital taxes to Norway. That would depend on other things such as your residence status, tax treaty between Norway and your own country etc. You probably should be more concerned whether bitcoin related income is taxeable in your own country of residence.

If it so happened that you should have paid taxes to Norway, but chose not to, or (say) you used your Justcoin account for illicit purposes (money laundering, buying/selling drugs/weapons aka Silk Road, gambling etc) it is of course theoretically possible that a court could order your account closed and/or confiscated. But that would presumably be the case anywhere in the world.

Finally, the Justcoin founders have discussed their correspondence with the Norwegian Tax Administration openly here on Bitcointalk and they implement KYC (Know Your Customer) verification on their user's accounts. It is also my impression (think they mentioned that in a post in here once) that they receive professional legal advice. Thus, they appear to be on top of their legal requirements.

Happy trading!

Hi

I've registered on your exchange, but so far there are two points which I'm not happy with:

- Receiving a SMS for verification didn't work (robot call did)
- I miss a widget on the top with the last price, high, low and volume

Would be cool to have these fixed. Especially the first one, since that is quit annoying for new customers.

Edit: You may also add yourselfe here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Buying_bitcoins

Would be nice with these statistics on top of the page, rather than browsing to Trade - Currency - Stats and read it out of the graphs.

Another option would be the drop-down header bar with the graph that unregistered users see on the home page, ala Gox style.

Its been a busy November with many BTC exchange hacks (bidextreme.pl, bips.me, coinlenders.com, inputs.io, more?).

I hope Justcoin takes note of the events and work on improving the site's security. Here are some suggestions that may improve things further:

Front-end improvements (per user options):
 - Email verification to complete withdrawals
 - Email notifications when withdrawals are initiated
 - SMS verification as an option to email verification
 - Disallow withdrawals to non-registered bitcoin addresses
 - Stricter KYC implementation

Back-end improvements (requested by user, enforced by admin):
 - User adjustable cold wallet; allow individual users to decide what proportion of funds to set aside for Justcoin's cold wallet (updated weekly/daily)
 - Freeze assets, e.g. disallow a proportion of NOK/EUR/USD to be used for trading (updated weekly/daily)
 - Disallow API access for non-registered IP addresses

These are mostly security measures by obstruction. They may serve to force any wrongdoer to jump through a few extra hoops to run away with a large cache and give users additional time to react.

Yesterday I registered on Justcoin.com and deposited few bitcoins. In about a hour, I've tried to logon, but my password didn't matched.
Well, I've passed to  [Reset your password]  https://justcoin.com/client/#auth/resetpassword link, and filled in my email. I received a message with the reset link. Then, there was no a common window "type in new password", instead there was a message saying smth like "close it & return" to the previous window...
I had several tabs opened, so, maybe I closed a right one, and returned to the wrong.
So, my password was not changed & I'got no message to email...

Well, I just retried to use [Reset your password] link but now it answered
"Sorry, but you tried to reset your password not long ago. Try again later or contact support@justcoin.com."

I wrote to support@justcoin.com, but still (15 hours passed) got no reply.  :-[

New blog post: Celebrating 10,000 users with a re-design (http://blog.justcoin.com/post/celebrating-10-000-users-with-a-re-design)

Congratulations!! The design update is definitely an improvement.

I was hoping for a few revamped features as well:

Manage Accounts page doesn't allow to delete or modify existing accounts.
BTC/NOK Candlestick graph is still not breaking down data per day.
Too many decimals on fiat (e.g 5 decimals on NOK on top of page; 3 decimals in buy/sell charts).
Active orders are now to be found under Order History, which is a bit misleading. Perhaps you should put back the link to Active Orders, and maybe separate Active and Past orders on two different pages.
Did you take away the option to download a CSV file of transactions?

Phone verification is awesome. Electronic bills are starting to be the norm in Sweden so not needing to scan a proof of residence rocks! Thanks.

Although I wonder how this verification can be enough? There has to be a lot of anonymous phone contracts so knowing the customer posseses a number is not really proof of identity?

Justcoin are sneaky, they spring the address verification on you when you click "Withdrawal > Bank".

Hello justcoin,
I submitted some BTC to get some ripple, ripple woked fine, but the extra BTC leftover (.03 btc) was to be sent back to me, it was removed from my account but never arrived at my wallet. I have checked the address and it is complete, and submitted a request to you ? on the page but no one has helped me. You can't expect to run a site without a few problems, but I would appreciate it if you can look after this matter promptly, it looks pretty bad on you site if you cannot withdraw BTC from your account and expect it to reliably arrive. I am not going to post my account details to the forum but needless to say I will be expecting a reply by PM asap. Rest of the site works fine but as it is right now I don't feel like using justcoin.com until I get my BTC that never arrived.

CryptFolio helps you safely keep track of exchange balances over time, and generates reports (such as your overall USD net worth).

What is the procedure for opening a company account? I am planning on renting servers for bitcoin but do not want to proceed until I know it be actually possible to convert bitcoin to euro (Sepa withdrawal) since thats what I have to pay supplies with (electricity, collocation, bandwidth etc)

I opened an account on Mt Gox but support is unresponsive and there are horror stories of withdrawals being stuck in limbo and not happening, bitstamp seems to be going down same road,
so here is hoping that small exchange might have responsive support :)

Sent some bitcoins, exchanged them to EUR -> 1 day later I got an email, that they sent the money from their bank account. Another day later, the money was in my bank account.

Really fast, thats the way I like to do business! ;)
Keep up the good work!

Btw. I have registered with MTGox early in december, last week my account was verified but now they have to verify again, because I added a bank account...
That's why i searched another exchange and I am quite happy I did!

Btw. I have registered with MTGox early in december, last week my account was verified but now they have to verify again, because I added a bank account...
That's why i searched another exchange and I am quite happy I did!

Thank you very much for the kind words. We are working hard to deliver an easy service without uncertainty and delays. :)

Although I have been in Bitcoin and a lurker on these forums since 2011, this is my first post.  I want to add to this thread by saying that Justcoin is a high quality, professional exchange.  I have made many transactions there in the last few months and they have all been executed flawlessly.  Keep up the good work and I will remain a loyal customer.

I just want to bump this thread and endorse this neat exchange. I have made many 4 figure SEPA withdrawals and there have been no bullshit delays, excuses like with Bitstamp, or BTCE. They always arrived within 2 business days.

Also I have just noticed that their fees are now more in line with the competition. If you trade a lot you can even have 0.1% fee.
So give it to the man!

Ah, I just noticed, it's because their hotwallet ran out.

Best bet is to do what I did. Cancel the withdrawal, exchange to LTC, cash it out to a diff exchange site and go on from there.

I have the same problem, can someone help me, plz? I wrote to support@justcoin.com twice but i dont have any answer :S
I received the email with the link for pw recovery but when i create my acc i didnt put a phone number, so i havent the 4 digits they ask me :S

Please help me!

EDIT: Problem solved!!!

I don't like Justcoin.
And the thing of this dislike is totally abnormal displaying of price rate.
When other normal exchanges show price per coin, have an ability to point random (not fixed!) price order, Justcoin want to be smarter than others.
I need to calculate price every time when I want to sell or buy and this is very uncomfortable.
I suggest devs at least make an ability to switch to normal exchange view in the settings panel.

Be careful guys. Just want to share what happen.

22 Sep - Sent 20 LTC to Justcoin. Not reflected in my account. Sent ticket to Support.
23 Sep - No reply from Support. Sent email instead.
24 Sep - Support came back with this reply:
"... It is indeed weird that this deposit has not been credited to your account. We had some issues over the weekend with our Litecoin-node acting up, which might have something to do with it. I will assign this message to our CTO, Andreas, to take a look on. I am sure we can fix this problem very soon!"
I message back requesting for a refund while their CTO is looking into the problem.
25 Sep - No response from Support.

Up to this point, I believe Justcoin is legitimate. But they need to do more to assure their customers. Just hope I can receive my 20 LTC soon.

EDIT: The LTC has been credited to my account.

my reply from them today

Hi Tommy,
We are terribly sorry for the late response on this request. After doing some maintainance on Litecoin last weekend we experienced some issues causing deposits to get stuck. The CTO of Justcoin, Andreas found the problem and all the missing deposits were credited. Apparently there are still some problems which we have to determine. Andreas has been working on it today, but he may need another day for it. I can however assure you that your missing deposit is not lost.
Again we are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.
Best regards,

Justcoin is now offline for >4 hours. The market is moving, I have orders at the margin. And although I had only good experiences with Justcoin and always received fast, nice and competent support, there is still the little fear in the back of my brain: what if they just took the money and run? Clearly not a comfortable situation to be in.

Please: if you experience difficulties over more than 15 minutes it is a MUST to have a little update on this on the webpage which is updated at least every hour. That is just so important for your customers and thus indirectly for you.

Could not agree more. Even when you're a small team like Justcoin, and probably busy figuring out what has happened, you need to spend those 5 minutes every other hour to keep your customers informed. Its critical to customer satisfaction. Its how you handle episodes like these that will determine your long term success. While you are busy patching, your customers are already making their contingency plans... Uncertainty breaks the trust.

This is the message Justcoin sent to users yesterday:

Quote
Dear Justcoin user,
You are receiving this email because you have a balance of XRP at Justcoin. XRP deposits, withdrawals and trading have been disabled for the last three days. This is an explanation of what has happened and what the status is.
A network-wide weakness in how both Ripple and Stellar communicated transactions was exploited by an unknown third-party to to deposit false IOUs through Ripple/Stellar to Justcoin. These were consequently withdrawn to their own payment networks as native currencies. The result was that our hotwallets were emptied. Most of our customers' funds is in cold storage but the amounts were still significant. Justcoin will not operate as a fractional reserve and therefore we decided to lock down all services affected until we had a solution ready.
Justcoin cannot and will not accept taking the responsibility for this weakness in the network. It is caused by a feature that is poorly documented and has been present in both Ripple and Stellar for a long time. Other gateways, exchanges and native transaction explorers have also been affected. There is also documented that the security vulnerability has been known by the network developers for at least 2 months without any kind of explicit and direct warning to affected gateways and other services. A thorough and technical explanation of the weakness can be read here: https://medium.com/@abrkn/partial-payments-ripple-stellar-vulnerability-in-the-wild-29aaefd8a7ac (https://medium.com/@abrkn/partial-payments-ripple-stellar-vulnerability-in-the-wild-29aaefd8a7ac).
The result is that as of now there will be imposed a partial 'hold' on all XRP balances. This hold will be representing the amount of XRP that is missing. Deposits will be disabled until we are 100% confident that we are no longer affected by this weakness or any other yet undiscovered. Deposits that have been made between the shutdown and now will be credited in full once deposits are opened. Trading and withdrawal of the XRP that is not on hold is now enabled. Please allow delays on withdrawals due to moving of funds from cold storage to hot wallet. The percentage of each XRP balance that is on partial hold is 23.27%.
We can assure you that it is our intention that the partial holds will be lifted. We are looking at different options and are having a dialogue with Ripple Labs and Stellar foundation. We will try to figure out a way to solve this, one way or another. Expect regular updates.
We are terribly sorry for the situation but are asking for your understanding and patience. If you have any questions that are not answered here please don't hesitate to ask. Allow some time for us to answer as our support is under high pressure at this time.
Sincerely,
Klaus Bugge Lund from Justcoin

tl;dr they're blaming Ripple and applying a 23% haircut on XRP deposits (supposed to be temporary)

I think they had other problems on their mind than dealing with your suspension. The e-mail said their bank wanted to shut them down and they couldn't find another bank in Norway that would accept a digital currency business.
I still trust these guys. I wish they didn't quit but continued as a cryptocoin-only exchange.

Being an exchange, is not an easy job. You have to be able to deal with not only the pressure of banks and funds and legal commitments and whatnot, but also to your users inquiries. The support has not replied to me in 5 days. That is not behavior of an exchange. That is the behavior of a scammer that just took your funds worth 1000$ and ignored you because he has the money. You trust them because you're not in my shoes. You withdrew your money and you're like 'oh well I'll miss the exchange', but I'm afraid I'll carry this to a lawsuit if I don't receive my funds and the website closes permanently.

I also think there should be a bit more info on all that's going on. I have a lot of funds over there but withdrawing takes an hour now and their mail says it can take up to 24 hours. That is very unfortunate because I think that withdrawing BTC shouldn't be that hard at all. I also tried to cancel a withdrawal but now that withdrawal is in the state 'cancelling'. So it won't be withdrawn but I cannot access the funds on the site either to do some last minute trading with it.

Quite frustrating and I hope that for the time being they try to handle this as quickly as possible.

Also: why don't they switch over to a 3rd party for payments like 'Lemon Way'. Lemon Way is used by the Paymium and the Clevercoin exchange.

Ironically, my Ripple and Stellar withdrawals are the first to be completed.

For the record: According to Ripple Labs, the tfPartialPayment hack was due to incorrect implementation by Justcoin (https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/ripple-tfpartialpayment-causes-gox-style-hack-justcoin-exchange/), as well as a general lack of precautions.

For all you out there in doubt: although many wild stories go around, I can confirm that my withdrawals are now being picked up. It took 17 hours (probably because their hot wallet was empty yesterday) but for now I like to believe that all information about the banking problems is genuine and that we are not being goxxed.

Edit: Oh nice, my 2 withdrawals now give 'Failed: invalid address'  >:(. I copy-pasted the address from my home wallet so how can this be :(

Edit 2: Tried again with different address, now it went through (within 10 minutes so that's great)!

A couple of withdrawals went OK for me too. Now waiting for the last ones (BTC and EUR).

Trading has now been suspended, the 'buy' and 'sell' button give an error about that. I picked up my things and left... Too bad, it was nice to trade there every now and then.

I think I am actually the last one that had an order fulfilled there just before closing at 17:00 CET. At least for me it was a bit fortunate because someone sold me 0.25 BTC for 150 Euro's which is about half the going price. Well every downside has its upside I guess.

My thanks goes out to the exchange owners for running things relatively smoothly, a bit more communication and some 'guarantees' that funds are safe here and there would have been nice, but at least there were some posts on Reddit and here. Maybe in the future they can team up with Lemon Way and start the exchange again. Or just move to a less BTC-hostile country ;).

Now awaiting my final funds... ;)

I also had this on one of my withdrawals although the address was valid. I don't know why it happened but when I tried again, the withdrawal was processed within 15 minutes (though this was during the day).

I have kept on trading the whole day until the exchange closed down the trading engine at 17:00 CET and all 7 withdrawals that I did yesterday and today (eventually) went through. So I wouldn't say they are scamming. I'm quite happy with they way they handled the situation and bear in mind that it takes a lot of cold storage BTC to get all user withdrawals off to the appropriate user. As far as I can tell now, their administration is just fine and nothing compared to how Gox handled their case.

For me I am now only waiting for a Euro withdrawal that I entered today, but that obviously takes a couple of days.

The amount of ppl defending them on reddit is disgusting.

The STR/XRP debt paid by customers... wtf...

Well, I don't know about that. I'm not defending them or anything, just posting my experiences so anyone else who's in doubt or afraid can at least find a thread of other people's findings. The amount of money involved in my case is a lot more than $100.

Unfortunately when I now login I get the message 'The user is suspended. Contact support' so I can't post a screenshot of all withdrawals. Instead this list just of e-mails to show what went through after their shutdown-email:

* 2014/10/29 11:07 Your request to withdraw 0.1xxx BTC has been completed. Note that I did this withdrawal 18 hours prior to the actual transfer of the funds.
* 2014/10/29 13:50 Your request to withdraw 3.xxx BTC has been completed. This and the following withdrawals went through within an hour or so.
* 2014/10/29 14:02 Your request to withdraw 0.2xxx BTC has been completed.
* 2014/10/29 19:41 Your request to withdraw 0.9xxx BTC has been completed.
* 2014/10/30 11:50  Your request to withdraw 1xxx EUR has been completed. This means that we've queued the transfer with our bank. A fee was deducted to cover our banking costs.

Those were all my funds that were there and that I acquired by trading just until the very end. So my balance is 0 (and probably therefore my account is suspended). I will let it know when the Euro withdrawal is received.

I think that between all this something else is going on, for example that there is some kind of announced audit because they filed for bankruptcy or something. I don't know but maybe there is a reason for them to clear out the exchange as soon as possible. Still I am satisfied that, up until now, it looks like my funds are not goxxed.

EDIT: I didn't use Stellar or Ripple  just BTC/EUR so about that or the hack/implementation error I can't comment.

EDIT 2: 2014/10/31: Euro withdrawal received. So I received back all of the funds that were there.

Wow ok, that's something else. But why on earth would you ever leave 500 BTC at a small exchange like Juscoin?! I think the orderbook depth above of below market price has never even been more than 100 BTC so what's the use of even trying to sell 500 BTC there?

The withdrawals that I did came out of a 100BTC (maybe 250 BTC?) wallet so maybe it takes a while to gather all the coins for a single withdrawal that large. Did you also park EUR/USD/NOK there?

Please let us know if/when you get the funds.

I myself got my account suspended for no reason a week before the "We're closing statement". The support completely ignored me. Nothing. I lost over 2 BTC because of this.

Very strange. I would say contact them again. They also sometimes read this forum. BTW: I now got back all of my funds. The Euro withdrawal only took 1 day from their mail that they'd sent the funds until me receiving the funds.

Justcoin, if you read us, what is your plan to restore the XRP STR balances of your customers ?

Don't you think you are responsible of your former clients funds ? (Even if you proved your inablility to protect them)

They only let half the withdrawals pass through, the other half got royally buttfucked. In my country, legal prosecution does not include this sort of things, so i'm basically screwed for my 600$. I'm trying to see if there are any other people, there are some but they don't really care since all their money was "free" (stellar giveaway), I gathered all of my money from there too, so that's why I myself aren't that much hasty about this, but it still was MY money they took away.

I bought the STR they took me. There is no such thing as free money. As soon as it has market value, it's not free anymore.

I'm still waiting for an answer of this scumbags... looks like they took away with the cash !

This is it? We hear no more updates from the justcoin team. They can vanish in the WWW and are accountable to none? Everywhere you can read about the justcoin shutdown because norwegian banks will not support cryptocurrencies in the future. I do not belive this version of the story. I think they are closing their business because they are missing around 300,000$ user funds and do not want and can not take responsibility for this. They hush up the fact that they are still guilty around 23% of users XRP. In my eyes they are thieves if they don't pay back these funds

They ARE thieves. They didn't let half of their userbase withdraw, the other half was allowed to keep the general good image, anyone with a pretty high investing amount was "suspended".
