Title: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: GreenerK on April 12, 2013, 03:01:41 PM There seems to be a growing number of Bitstamp SEPA deposits not appearing since the coin "crash" and their Bank details changed.
They have not acknowledged this on their site and understandably clients are getting worried (myself included!) >:( I was think that anyone suffering the same fate should maybe post here with their date of transfer, so we can get an idea of how long they are taking (if at all). Maybe someone from Bitstamp browsing this site will see the consolidated list and take note ??? Please make sure you have created a support ticket via their site for it first though. I'll start; Deposit sent 10am on the Wednesday 10th April. Please post back here if/when the deposit arrives. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: 1m1nd on April 12, 2013, 03:09:21 PM SEPA deposit sent 9am wednesday 10th April.
Support ticket has been open 6 hours 30 minutes. I am starting to worry they are just going to steal my money, or that it has got lost in the system somewhere, since they changed their bank details just one day after my SEPA transfer was begun. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: SirWilliam on April 12, 2013, 03:12:19 PM Deposit sent Wednesday APRIL 10. Support ticket opened April 11th.
Received reply about problem with online Unicredit exchange converter today. Still waiting to see my money. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: 1m1nd on April 12, 2013, 03:15:31 PM Can SEPA transfers be reimbursed? I feel if there is a danger of losing my money I should start proceedings to reclaim it ASAP.

Support ticket has been open for a few hours with no reply.

Deposit sent by transferwise Weds 10th for expected arrival into Bitstamp Thursday 11th at 9am. No sign of any deposit into my account yet. Ticket opened this morning, no reply yet. This is my first deposit into Bitstamp. I too was freaked out by the change in bank account details. It would have been considerate of BS to mention in their blog post about new bank details that existing users would not be affected - assuming that this is the case. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. It's very frustrating to think that if I had waited until the 11th, I could have deposited directly into a UK bank account, and presumably have the funds in my account now. Unless there would also be such a delay on processing that too Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: TrilbyUK on April 12, 2013, 06:48:02 PM The new bank details are for a different account at the same Slovenian bank (the BIC defines the bank and it hasn't changed). Only their contact address has moved to the UK.

Only their contact address has moved to the UK. This is correct. We apologize sincerely for the delay and would invite everyone waiting to read our explanation about this issue here: https://www.bitstamp.net/article/overwhelming-popularity/ We know we must improve and we are working around the clock to do so, increasing our server capacities to be able to handle increased loads and hiring more support staff to help us with the sudden wave of new users and with them support tickets. Both bank accounts are still held at the same bank, still active and funds sent to either of the two will be received by us, provided you didn't make a mistake with your transfer. Although SEPA transfers usually take 1 to 3 business days to arrive we would ask those waiting for your SEPA transfers longer than usually to please send us a transfer confirmation so that we can examine our bank account log and locate your transfers. Also for those waiting on deposits we ask for your patience; we have accumulated a long list of transfers which lack information or contain wrong information which means we need to manually go through all of them instead of our system sorting them automatically. For those waiting on withdrawals; we accumulated a big list of pending withdrawals which is why we have now automated the process and we will send all pending withdrawals from Wednesday onward till today on Monday. And finally we again apologize, we wish we could move faster, we are taking steps which will allow us to move faster and we will get to you in time. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: SirWilliam on April 12, 2013, 08:19:05 PM Hazek, Thank you so much for taking the time to reply here on a Friday night. I shall sleep (and drink) better this weekend! I will look into getting a transfer confirmation Monday morning.

Hello Hazek, I too thank you for getting back to us. It's a huge relief to see that you guys are still hearing our cries! For those of us sure that our deposits aren't missing any information - are the delays because of failed automation somewhere in the chain? I'll attach my confirmations to my support ticket, just in case anyway. Can I suggest that you post something similar to your reply as another news posting on your site? I'm sure there are other users out there in this situation, not familiar with this forum, that are panicking after the latest posting about the bank changes. Your linked article does help understand the chaos you're currently dealing with, but this was before the bank changes and it looks like you've all gone radio-silent since then, possible causing a few clients to start claiming the deposits back through their banks. Thanks again. I hope you're able to put your feet up once things settle down. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: TrilbyUK on April 12, 2013, 09:06:21 PM While hazek's response is of course appreciated, I'd second GreenerK's question about automation. I have my Transferwise payment information in front of me and the reference on the payment exactly matches the reference provided on the Bitstamp deposit page. If there is an automated system in place to match payments to accounts, it's hard to understand why it wouldn't be able to do so in this case.

Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: turboblade on April 12, 2013, 09:42:41 PM I would just like to say that I too have had this issue. Transferwise confirmed transfer had completed on wed 10th but still has not appeared in my bitstamp account. I have checked the reference no and it is correct so i see no reason why my transfer hasn't appeared in my account. I have opened a support ticket and sent a copy of my transferwise confirmation.
Will you be working over the weekend to resolve this issue. Are there any exchanges left that we can actually trust. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Sorry, but my trasfer was done on MARCH 27th... sepa... confirmed by your bank (i gave you the reference in a ticket waiting a reply since days). My bank investigation got an additional confirmation from YOUR bank that my transfer is on YOUR account since... MARCH 28th! I let you do the math here. Never-ever more.... very unprofessional. Very sad. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: SirWilliam on April 13, 2013, 10:19:09 AM Good news, they just credited my account with the amount I sent in the SEPA transfer on April 10. I have to admit that in my case, despite my strong fears, support did respond to me the same day and gave what appears to be a completely genuine excuse regarding the Unicredit currency exchange site being down (including link proving this to be true). This morning I checked and saw that the bank currency conversion site is back up and I was about to send another message to support but the had already credited my account with the full transfer amount.
So in the end I had a support ticket response the same day and the money in my account within 3 days of sending it. I admit I was really scared by these issues but I do believe they are honestly trying to fix things as fast as possible. I am satisfied with the service at this point. I don't like to have missed a 50 entry point for bitcoins but who knows with this wild west market what will happen. I also have to say that I probably didn't help things by freaking out so much before the 3 days were even up. Anyone who sent the SEPA transfer more than 3 days ago should contact support with their confirmation and also contact the Bitstamp representative in this thread. Anyway, thanks Bitstamp! I do like the site and look forward to doing more business with you guys. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. I'm sure you already did this but PM Hazek here and also send a copy of the transfer confirmation in a support message on Bitstamp.
I understand the frustration, I'm just saying in my case that they did credit the money within the normal time. Personally I expect they will credit the rest of them and improve service, otherwise they will stop getting transfers of funds for new accounts quite quickly. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: GreenerK on April 13, 2013, 12:55:13 PM Good news, they just credited my account Wahey! glad to see they're getting through the deposits :) Thanks for updating us SirWilliam. All this reminds me of a friends' dilemma coming over from the States a while back; He'd booked a very cheap flight, ordered the taxi with plenty of time to get to the airport, but events conspired against him; On the way to the airport there were roadworks and an accident, causing a diversion and nose-to-tail traffic. If that wasn't frustrating enough, the taxi broke down and they couldn't get him to the airport on time! He arrived just late enough to see his flight disappearing through the window. He had to book another flight, at a much higher price. I'm guessing we all feel a bit like him at the moment, stuck in the Bitstamp taxi, waiting to get to the airport. So now the question remains: When I do get to the airport, do I buy the more expensive ticket, as I watch the cheap Bitcoin plane disappear into the distance (and just enjoy the next ride), or sit and wait in the lobby for a cheaper ticket to come along? Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: 1m1nd on April 13, 2013, 09:47:41 PM Deposit from wednesday the 10th of April cleared and in my account!

That's Article 69 of the Payment Services Directive that you can read here: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:32007L0064:EN:NOT Unfortunately Bitstamp are claiming that they haven't received my SEPA payment that was made on Wednesday 10th April so something appears to have gone very wrong somewhere along the line. Also - A simple, direct update posted on their site would save a lot of this forum back-at-forth. Those "news" postings are far to vague to settle clients when it comes to missing finances. Does anyone know if we can cancel/reverse/chargeback Transferwise payment? I'm sure Transferwise could help with this, just as your local bank would with a wire transfer. But remember that Transferwise have fulfilled their part of the transfer perfectly. I imagine they're wrongly getting it in the neck about this from a few confused customers. They've provided me the bank confirmation (with Bitstamp's bank's confirmation ref.) as a PDF, which I've attached to my Bitstamp support ticket. Hopefully this should help smooth things along. I'm going to give them another day, now that they have all the documents and information they need from me. After that I'll have to start proceedings to try and get my money back. I really really don't want to do that - Bitstamp is a gorgeous site to use, and I'm sure they're trying their best to get everything caught up. But the vague, sporadic updates on forums, coupled with the lack of sufficient notices on their site, is forcing my hand. :( I'm sorry Hazek, but your Team is messing with people's money - communication has to be ample and clear. I know they are because when I contacted Transferwise to get my payment confirmation they said:"You are apparently one of the numerous customers affected by Bitstamp's delays up until now all payments to them were actually there, but there's been a delay in them confirming the receipt." I'm also going to be left with no choice but to attempt to recover my money via Transferwise if this isn't resolved by the end of tomorrow. "Please be patient" just isn't enough to ease my worry anymore. If Bitstamp had posted a note on their site, or even sent out a mass email to all clients with a progress report of number of outstanding deposits vs. completed ones, it would have been a sign that they're dealing with it seriously. A daily update like that would only take them minutes to put together. Those with more recent deposits are getting to enjoy the cheaper bitcoin prices, while the cries of the rest of us are going ignored. I've asked TransferWise to help me process a claim against Bitstamp for my deposit now and I will post anything helpful here for those interested. As soon as I have my money back, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Sent on the 10th of April. Literally copied and pasted recepient details. I helped my bro do the same. He got his two days later - mine stuck in a black hole. He made 30% in a single transaction - I'm sitting on my laurels wondering what's going on. I'm going to be voting with my feet - anyone have better experiences elsewhere? Of course, opening a support ticket has been the first thing I did, but they simply don't answer. Total silence from their side. If they were honest, they would have inform their customers that there are delays involved with the SEPA deposits. They didn't do anything in this regard. They are just collecting the money silently. Made deposit of 150 on April, 10, but not yet credited into my account. Submitted a ticket on the 13th (saturday), got this answer: "We checked your account and your transfer did not arrive yet. SEPA transfers take 1 to 3 business days to be credited to your account. If you should not receive your funds in a timely manner or need any further assistance in the meantime, please feel free to contact us again." Submitted another ticket 16h ago, with transfer receipt attached, but no answer so far. Is anybody still in this situation? Thanks. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: phallophobia on April 17, 2013, 11:28:02 AM Same story as numerous others here...
Made a deposit from TransferWise early on April 11th, to the new bank details and included all the correct info, still no sign and not a word despite opening a ticket 2 days ago. There's an update that's a day or so old on their Facebook page saying they are working through the outstanding withdrawals and deposits, but it's all total bush league to me... for people to be waiting days with no funds, no response, and for people to have to trawl through forums and social networking to even find out what is going on. Nejc Kodric and Damijan Merlack are amateur entrepreneur who are not able to cope with the traffic/demand and things are likely to go pear shaped. It is 10 minutes job to look to information I provided and assign money to my account or send it back to me! So be so kind and explain to me what is going on. Thank you! They answered just a few minute ago, so it really seems they are just overload, which is not good, but may happen. However we now received the needed information in order for us to be able to locate your transfer. I included the reference, has I always do, and which is visible in the transfer receipt I sent them. There is a problem with Bitstamp, I don't know what it is, maybe it's due to the high demand in recent times, and people shouldn't pretend everything is fine, when it's clearly not. I honestly hope they solve all these issues, because it's the most user-friendly exchange (within the ones I tried). Should I notify my bank and report a 'lost' transaction? edit/update: bitstamp support asked me to check the status of my bank transfer Halifax say the funds were sent and received 2 days ago So in effect, Bitstamp are saying they have 'lost' my deposit I reccommend that NOBODY uses Bitstamp again until they stop f***ing people about like this - it is not acceptable to 'lose' a deposit is there an update to your situation? I've had all my SEPA transfers from and to bitstamp handled correctly, and in due time. On the other hand, that you got nervous after only 3 days tells me you might have slightly unrealistic expectations how fast the transactions are handled on average. anyway, would be interesting to hear if your transfer was credited at some point... Post by: camaro45er on August 20, 2013, 01:31:10 PM Sepa transfer initiated on 14.08.13, now 4 business days later still no deposit on my account. 2 tickets with support openend but no answer whatsoever.
So far I made 2 smaller deposits, which both got credited within 2 days and support was always answering my questions within a few hours. Now I made a bigger deposit, which my bank confirmed that it was credited to their account but as mentioned before, no credit, no answers. UPDATE: Case resolved. @hazek: Thanks for your efforts. It is just nmoot showing up, even though it has been confirmed more than 6 times already. Does anyone else encounter such an issue over there?
Please let me know asap, since not getting any response to my support tickets is driving me NUTS. Anyone? Cheers Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: Mudbankkeith on November 20, 2013, 04:14:10 PM I am missing a BTC deposit to my Bitstamp address made on the 18th.
It was showing as unconfirmed for 2 days. Blockchain were constantly moving up and down the queue. Like 24 hours, 16 hours, 32, hours, 16 hours. Today it has vanished from blockchain, along with the fee. The receiving address at bitstamp is shown as unused. Response to my support tickets is non existant. Is this typical scam material? Are Bitstamp as dishonest as all the other BTc scammers I have encountered? Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: vince_534 on November 20, 2013, 10:37:34 PM Just created an account to share my experience with Bitstamp:
I tranferred money via SEPA on November 12th and the money hasn't arrived yet on my bitstamp account. I made sure to include the reference number and my bank confirmed the payment. Indeed, bitstamp employees reply to the support messages (3 days later), but it doesn't help much if they are telling me they will take care of the problem as soon as possible. I have seen that others may have similar problems, but I still think bitstamp's reputation is good and they can be trusted, unless they start behaving like that and hesitate with transfers for whatever causes...Of course this is a busy time for you at the moment, but when you state to credit the transfers in 2-3 days and after 8 days nothing happened, customers are becoming sceptical. So please Bitstamp, resolve these problems with dealyed/missing transfers, it is frustrating! Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: miror on November 21, 2013, 05:27:18 PM I have made a SEPA deposit of 2.1k on November 18, and three 4-figure deposits on November 20.
The November 20 deposits all got credited within the same day! But the oldest (and largest) deposit, from november 18, is still missing. How is that possible? I sent a ticket more than 20 hours ago - no reply. Is somebody from bitstamp here, who could look into this?? what also looks weird... is this normal? Account -> History says: 2013-11-18 14:25:01 [IP-Address] Opened SEPA deposit for EUR 2,100.00 but Deposits -> Your Deposit Requests says: Nov. 18, 2013 EU bank transfer (SEPA) EUR 2,100.00 Finished how can it be "Finished" when the money has not been credited yet??? it is also not shown in Account -> Transactions Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. I think, depositing on a sunday shows, that bitstamp are still working off their backlog. Unfortunately, I had to start an investigation for the money and my bank and bitstamp's bank charged me 85 for that! >:( Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: 123thedude on December 09, 2013, 03:09:04 PM I made a SEPA withdrawal and it was confirmed via. email by bitstamp 28th of november:
Quote Dear xxx xxx, Your withdrawal request has been confirmed. Transaction data: xxx xxx Address: blahblahstreet blerghland IBAN: xxxx BIC: xxxx Requested amount: $$$$ EUR/USD exchange rate: $ Fee: $ Sent: $$$$ EUR If you have any questions regarding Bitstamp exchange service please read our FAQ or use our support form (https://www.bitstamp.net/support/). Our support staff will be more than happy to assist you. Best regards, Bitstamp team I waited a couple of days and opened a support ticket on 5th of december asking if everything was cool - they have not replied yet. So.. 12 days and no money + 4 days without an answer. Now I'm starting to get really nervous. I understand if there is some delays, but when there is no answer and no explanation, it starts to get really uncomfortable. Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: samanthakent on December 12, 2013, 06:45:56 PM I have been waiting for more than 14 days for confirmation of a wire transfer to Bitstamp > $5000. They asked for additional information. They have a lot of my money and I have contacted support 3 times, with no response in over a week. I understand they might be overwhelmed but they need to be better communicators or they will lose their reputation in the Bitcoin community.

Still no money in my bankaccount, they answerd my support ticket 2 weeks ago saying they started investigating the matter. To date no more replies to my multiple tickets! Bitstamp get your act together and work with another bank. This is outrageous and i have completely lost faith in your exchange! Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: coiniemonster2014 on January 19, 2014, 08:02:03 AM Question for Bitstamp.net Support or anyone else who might know??!
Does it matter or would it slow the processing of a transfer if one was to send lets say 10EUR more than was filled in in the Bitstamp Deposit form? Would the two numbers being off by 10EUR slow processing in any way? All my previous transfers only took 24hr max and this ones taking days :( BTCBTCBTC Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: lunarboy on March 09, 2014, 01:29:16 AM These problems seem to be continuing. ::)
Sent transfer to Bitstamp on the 17th February and still nothing. Support are frustratingly slow to reply to simple questions, and keep asking me for redundant information that I have already supplied. My bank confirms the deposit arrived safely 24 hours after the SEPA instructions were received with all the relevant references and account numbers double checked. So my question to BITSTAMP is what are you playing at? My question to everyone else, as I have not read the entire thread. Do these deposits go through EVENTUALLY?? Or have some gone completely missing? I've experienced these problems before. Delayed deposits, eventually being returned to my account (6weeks later) and failing to transfer in...... Guess where????? GOX Title: Re: If you have missing Bitstamp SEPA transfers, post here. Post by: NERDNERDNERD on November 27, 2017, 04:43:01 PM It's very frustrating to think that if I had waited until the 11th, I could have deposited directly into a UK bank account, and presumably have the funds in my account now. Unless there would also be such a delay on processing that too
