Title: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: PascalCoin on January 19, 2017, 06:35:15 PM Hi guys.
I've developed the first OpenCL miner for PascalCoin fully open source and made with Pascal language. It works using OpenCL installed drivers Please read documentation at this post: https://github.com/PascalCoin/PascalCoin/blob/master/HOWTO_DEVELOP_GPU_MINER_FOR_PASCALCOIN.txt Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: du44 on January 19, 2017, 06:39:12 PM What about cuda ?
Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: Eyedol-X on January 19, 2017, 07:52:00 PM Nice, can't wait to give it a go.
I haven't messed with anything in a few months since the Vors release Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: mirny on January 19, 2017, 10:07:57 PM BTW, this info is 3months old.
Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: m1n1ngP4d4w4n on January 20, 2017, 03:54:18 AM Yeah we need cuda miner for pascal 10x card, would be sad to not have the best hashing power on those for this coin ;D

Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: ioglnx on January 25, 2017, 10:00:24 AM The cuda version is shitty.
Not able to mine with all GPUs u need one for every GPU. Hash is somewhat strange..one card reports 2000MH then the other 50MH then the 3rd 70MH the 4th 200MH the 5th 120MH.. this is crap. The cuda version needs a lot of work. Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: bathrobehero on January 25, 2017, 10:03:15 AM The cuda version is shitty. The cuda version needs a lot of work. Having to run multiple instances is not that bad. The hashrate fluctuation is because it rarely finds shares (I guess the GPUs are given massive chunks of work instead of smaller ones) so it takes a loooong time to see your real average hashrate. Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: ioglnx on January 25, 2017, 10:10:57 AM I have it run for 24h and nothing..and the hash according to this stupid miner still not vary much on the speeds I posted for each gpu.
anyway i stop mining PASCAL coin since it has no proper nv miner yet. Considering how high the difficulty is, it can be a very long time to find blocks (and therefore measure your real hashrate) so it's a bit of a gamble. I give it a day then probably stop as well. The OpenCL miner works much better and shares the work between gpus and uses all. Friend of mine has bought my AMD RX480 and has now 12 Rx40 he found already 3 Blocks in few hours. Thank you 12-17 coins per day. Math time. number_of_coins_you_mine_per_day = your_hashrate(Mh/s) / networkhashrate(Mh/s) * blocks_per_day * blockreward Network hashrate is 835,000-1,200,000 Mh/s (source: http://explorer.pascalcoin.org), there are 288 blocks per day and the blockreward is 100. Add that all up and you end up with 12 or 17 coins per day depending on the numbers. Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: sp_ on January 26, 2017, 07:04:09 AM Here you go; 1) Go to this link and download wallet https://sourceforge.net/projects/pascalcoin/ and Go to this link and download windows binaries https://github.com/Vorksholk/PascalCoin-OpenCL/releases/download/v1.00/PascalCoin_OpenCL_ProxyMiner_v1.zip 2) Open wallet and let it sync.. (By the time it is syncing you can do other things as follows) 3) Go to Project> Options > Set miner name (8 letters or numbers) I keep it "12121212" (btw set password for your wallet as you like) 4) On the same page.. Make sure that "JASON-PRC Server" is ticked 5) Default port is 4009 .. if you want to change it .. Change it and remember it. (I would keep it default) 6) Miner Server Private Key : Always Mine with this key and select your "12121212" from dropdown. 7) Hit OK and go to main wallet screen 8) Tick "Explore accounts with one of my wallet keys" 9) Now Select the key 12121212 from the dropdown 10) By this time the Sync will be half way done.. Sync will take a long time (5-10 min) So give it some time 11) You should be able to See "Node Status" "Running" in green. Now your wallet is ready .. 12) Now open "PascalProxyv2.jar" from the same folder (Give it a minute to open ; it will open in command prompt) 13) Enter desired host : 127.0.0.1 > hit enter 14) Enter desired port : 4009 (Or if you changed it before use that port)> Hit enter 15) Enter number of GPUs to support : 6 > Hit enter 16) Please enter miner prefix : 12121212 > Hit enter 17) Minimize the command prompt window 18) Now create a batch file "start.bat" 19) Edit batch file in notepad : cd C:\Pathto your folder\PascalCoin_OpenCL_ProxyMiner_v1 PascalCoinOpenCL_ProxyMiner.exe p0 d012345 c30 20) parameter c works best for me but you can try 25-50 range; if you see hashrate too low.. then try changing this. Now people are hoarding accounts in hopes they can trade them, but you need to solo mine to get them in the first place. Based on the average difficulty I found 100% more than I should of found. However with my RX 470/480 rigs on Pascalminer 0.2, I haven't found a single block. Either the miner software is messed up, gives incorrect speeds, RX 470/480 produce nothing but hardware errors due to modded mem straps, etc, etc. With older GPUs like 280x there are no issues. I am almost mining. My issue is starting the proxy. Not clear on how that is done. I know a .jar can be run with java. Made a batch java -jar PascalProxyv2.jar . When I run the batch I input my host and 8digit miner name. The same console then says The batch file cannot be found. What batch file ? I do have start.bat in the same folder which does start the miner. The miner error crashes since the proxy is not running. Thank if you could offer advice. I have 4 6 card rigs all running pascalminer 0.2 but would like to try this miner out. 2 of the 4 keep crashing for no apparent reason. Th other 2 have not stopped since I first started. Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: Amph on January 27, 2017, 04:54:39 PM As KlausT mentioned, CUDA JSON-RPC issues are caused by Pascalproxyv2, it doesn't send "target" param to the miner. Now we need that shitty proxy source... or a completely new miner ;D Or if somebody has time he can read proxy console output and replace headeroutXX.txt with correct value for "target", currently it's 000000000 for every round... you mean the final numbers of zero with target "809473025"? I think we are all seeing lower hashrates by factor of 6... Right when I started mining the hashrate showed once > 1800mh for me.. then stable at my mining rate/6 I think it has to do with difficulty set by nanopool.. Just the reporting is wrong. If we think of coins collected.. that rate seems alright to me. 2 coins in last hour = 48 coins / day = 100 coin ~ block a day of solo mining with my 12 RX480s .. Sounds alright. UPDATE: The rates are showing correct now .. :) Another UPDATE: The rates are fuk*ed up .. Plot is messed up. The best 470 for mining is right here and currently its at 165 (155 if you count the rebate). https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202230 You can even grab the powercolor for 155 (135 after rebate) if your fine with a slightly less clocked GDDR5 Title: Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining Post by: halker2010 on February 01, 2017, 05:30:08 AM how much time does it take for supernova pascal to get confirmed its still unconfirmed after a day or so?!

Yes it is, 1ghz quite easily, the issue is that for me the sg miner does not work when i have multiple gpus in one rig. So i can only run it on my pc.
