I been waiting on this awhile.. Honestly thought they had given up or something and forgot about it!

Yep, me too. There should be significant price rise, but you never know. Still, I don't believe this price is high enough.

I've been waiting for Winlevoss' ETF for years. I hope this project won't be delayed anymore, it has been put on hold too many times already.
This is the biggest news in bitcoin history since MtGox collapse, potential effect on price after ETF approval will be huge.
I expect that price might soar to $2000 with ease, and then when people realize that bitcoin is used by regulated financial institution, even higher.

Don't get your hopes high just yet. It is more likely that SEC won't approve the Winklevoss ETF in 2017.
They don't need to give us a serious reason, they could just say it is risky business and markets is not ready for it.
IMO probability that will see positive SEC's reaction this time is less than 30%

The chance the ETF getting approved doesn't seem to be that big.
And Bitcoin will continue growing in value even without that ETF, or one of the other 2 who are in the pipeline.
However such a vehicle would give BTC a huge credibility boost in the financial markets that's for sure.

I am not sure about all these but hope that the price could sustain the same level for some time and if there is any rise in this month we could see a sell off too.I do expect the price could rise 25% in a few months time but not this month.

March the 11th is also my sons 2nd birthday. I am certain ETF will be approved and then at his little party I will be blissfully unaware of all these screaming little monsters running around.

The problem is that no one can know if SEC will accept this ETF or no (they are delaying its decision for years). If Winklevoss EFT is accepted it will have a positive impact on bitcoin price, but if market expects its approval (growing bitcoin price) and SEC block it prices will go down.

Well, the price of bitcoin has become so volatile that a future 25% increase does not seem something unrealistic. Remember that few days ago the price dropped to ~750 and the current price of $1050 involves a 40% increase in a matter of days, so a future price of $1,250 seems very likely.

I was hyped about it but that was a year ago. :-\
So now it just doesn't matter to me as much since bitcoin price is so high.
I would of been since it was in the grasp of the middle class but now it seems it will only be appealing to the ones that own a lot of bitcoin instead.

It is sounds wonderful, but remember, Bitcoin is still risky, for example, after the rise to $1100 for one coin 2 years ago, just a year later, the price dropped to $150. So I think it would not be so wise to trust this news totally and put all your money into bitcoin now.

As I can see that bitcoin increase gradually overtime so it's reasonable to see bitcoin rise

but the fact is that we have been hearing the same thing for years. this is not a news to us. and besides this is not the only one of them, there are lots of these things floating around on the internet that you can find. some of them from smaller people in the world of economics and some from some giants. and none of them has happened so far. bitcoin price is rising slowly and we are all happy with it and don't want a flash rise followed by flash crash.

But Mt Gox is the CORE reason BTC fell -- as long as some huge ass exchange or event like that doesn't happen -- it really does appear BTC has no where to go but UP...

I had friends and family use Gox and HATE BTC after what happened -- even though it was not BITCOIN to blame but GOX.

But logic doesn't always dictate price -- people are people.

The SEC is playing games with the approval of the ETF, and this basically boils down to "stall" tactics. The Wall Street giants wants to selectively choose, who will share in the wealth of the world. They will stall this approval for years, if they think it does not benefit the rich people of this world.

I am not optimistic about the approval being finalized in this year. ^hmmmmmm^

The Winklevoss ETF is already priced into the market. People have known about the Winklevii for a long time, do you really thing the news of approval of something that's been in the works for over a year is going to move the market in big ways?

We won't see a move of the Winklevii until the ETF has gone public, accepting investors.

I completely disagree, many people like myself have FORGOT about this and have made 0 investments towards this sense it was going no where.

Now the time is getting near.

well, that's very good information, and maybe it can make us become better at withstanding, or save bitcoin we get. I also believe that it will happen, so for now, it might be better if we increase our ability to search for bitcoin, such as investment or trading.

the funny thing is that without this new it would not be probably increase to $1500, i mean the hype of this new is what will make bitcoin increase to that level not the news itself

Yes, if etf get approved then we can see paid investments into bitcoin and exponential growth in bitocin price levels. I just wonder why just up to 50%, I mean bitcoin prices may get doubled. We can not predict how much impact it will bring. Already bitcoin prices are sustaining and trading near $1050 levels, easily it may reach $2000 levels on any positive news.

without news like this, nothing else has changed! so the way price goes up shouldn't change either. there are the same number of investors and the same number of new investors that are coming in because of the rise itself.
in other words if we are to see $1500 in a month there should either be a hype big enough to help a pump or have some real adoption with big news to see a rally.

bitcoin price raising fast but this is inversely proportional with confirmation of transactions because it was very low in these few days however next peak $1500 might be still possible within a month but only if this rally still continue

There has been a lot of talk and no action on this front. The price might go up by a lot more than 25% if the ETF does receive approval.
Forbes calculated that ~$300Mn could flow into the ETF in a week's time. US exchanges might not have the liquidity to handle that kind of inflow.

Nothing is impossible when it comes to bitcoin.

Too many reasons that SEC could make to refuse ETF and Spencer Bogart who previously stated he thought the chances of approval for the Bitcoin ETF were “less than 25 percent,” . So, I agree that we suppose to not expecting so much. But it will be great if Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF get approval, is it could reach $2000 in a month? Nothing is impossible with bitcoin, at the same nothing is assured with bitcoin. Every user hopes for a 25-50% rise, but same fall too might happen if situation doesn't get supported by the technology.

Well, you're right. but the high increase actually occurs in January. may be a very high increase will also happen this month or next month. nothing is impossible if it is bitcoin, bitcoin all users know about it.

I wouldn't think much about this because it is just a poll that we don't know who exactly and how these answer has a basement that bitcoin price will be increased to $1500 by the end of this month which for me seems unrealistic but who wouldn't like to see bitcoin rising?

It's been good, and don't be surprised. If the price goes down, then I would buy a bitcoin, because I am very confident that the price will soon go up. When I've fortunately around 20%, then I will sell, that's the strategy for get profit.

I'm sure that this is cause by Chinest investor interest on bitcoin in massive amount which interest many new potential bitcoin investor !

The price of the bitcoin difficult to predict, many alleged that is often wrong. This makes we should always observe the movement. If look down for 6 hours, then better soon sell bitcoin. don't hold it too long because of the bitcoin can be greater loss.

If you are looking for a dip to buy Bitcoin, you should first decide how much of a dip you are willing to wait off. I think the current prices are pretty depressed due to the Chinese news, and buying now might be a good idea.

Well, I feel that the effect only occurs in January. but this month, bitcoin seeks to maintain the price of $ 1,000. Well, maybe because of this month, there are some problems which beset bitcoin. but I am sure in a few weeks, or months, bitcoin prices began to rise again.

It's the middle of the month and the price stays the same like in he beginning. After fast and deep drop bitcoin came back on it's previous level and I don't expect this 25-50% about which you are talking will ever happen during this month.

Indeed, this news will really bring in a great hype to Bitcoin.  Sec approving ETF for Bitcoin will surely remove the doubts of those half hearted investors, and the hesitant one :)  New funds not of ETF will also come in if this is approved.

The price increase is taking place steeper without falls or getting sustained around certain price for a short period than expected, so I believe the rally would continue to reach at least $1300. The price increase in a day's time when calculated goes as an average of 25%. So as the increase happening same is with the fall. Expect the good thing to take place.

I still disagree with $1500 (about 50%) in a short time in a month. and if we get there it would be a bubble at this point, unless ETF is approved and we can see another bump with a fresh rally but that would just create a bigger correction in my opinion.

So far 30% baby.
