What's your opinion, will Ethereum reach $1000 some day?

People are already informed about cryptocurrencies, yes ETH is another cryptocurrency even if it's a platform to launch applications and smart contracts. in case of bitcoin people still have a long way to figure out how useful and literally decentralized it is but still they have some ideas and are looking in right places to find the benefits while ETH is younger than than bitcoin unfortunately the somewhat recent frequent forks for it done by developer team just shows that there is no such a thing as consensus in it's network and if there is then they really suck.
Take a look at bitcoin the past 2 months is a war and a bloody battle between different parties trying to decide for a hardfork even though the debate is more than years old.
If ETH leaps that high then I can for sure buy a penthouse :D

no not at all, because first ethereum marketcap, which is total supply is too high, if ethereum was worth 1000 it would be 4x marketcap compared to bitcoin, which isn't possible, another reason is that ethereum is only a pump and dump right now, and bitoin is accepted by many merchants which use it as a real currency

It could. But it probably wont. It would have higher marketcap than BTC with almost no use. Bitcoin has a lot of merchants behind it and has been in a public eye for a long time. Any other coin will struggle to gather any kind of popularity for the forseeable future.

It will take many more years for the Ethereum price to be $1000 or higher.

Some day is no specific day whatsoever which could either be tomorrow or even the next ten years but the issue is every alt created wanted to pass that mark in the envy of bitcoin but bitcoin itself didnt get there in one day and as history would have it, bitcoin was as low as few dollars before becoming what it is today in which ETH didnt even go that low. Whether ETH will get there or not, is for the future to decide and large still falls on the developers whether they wanted it or not...

The price of Ethereum is already over $25. I think it will rise again in the future.

I highly doubt it will hit $1000, it's like overthrowing bitcon as the #1 crypto currency.

Well, though this is a very optimistic price, for ETH to reach a $1000 reality, the market cap needs to be at least somewhere around 18-20 billion dollars. If that is the case, Bitcoin market cap needs to be around 150- 200 billion dollars. With such a market cap we can expect BTC to be anywhere above 10K-15K USD. It will be an interesting year for Ethereum considering the transition to PoS sometime later this year.

It's a ridiculous statement. I will not expect a lot about the future of there but it looks like they will always increase soon. I think $100 is the irrational decimal for us. $1000 is very optimism speculation.

Good luck buying a penthouse .You really cannot compare the two and so in order for the Ethereum to reach $1000 it will take a huge number of years as there are nothing special about that coin apart from being used as a contract and if at all the other coins that pushes the value further might pose a challenge to bitcoin might not happen unless something terrible happens for bitcoin and if so every alt coin will be hurt in the long term.

Impossible, Eth has 89 million total supply, if ETH is 1000 usd, it surpasses bitcoin's current market cap. But if Bitcoin is 20000 usd, eth may be 1000 usd, namely 0.05 btc, expensive enough right?

Even bitcoin trade at $20000 I don't think ETH will $1000 because its another pump and dump altcoin developed with purpose of cryptotrading nothing else.As price of bitcoin increase most altcoins will die or dumped hard including ETH.

we are all hoping that simply because we want to dump it fast and at higher prices to get our money out before it is too late. but because of this and also because of the fact that whales want to take their money out, we will never see big prices. not even higher than $50! the whales are already cashing out and even if there is another wave of pumps it will go up to 0.03 which is only high price ($37) because bitcoin is worth a lot more.

I agree with you sir, 0.05 btc per eth is too expensive, impossible to be that, to be honest, 0.037 btc ATH is tough for ETH again, hard fork toys is not immutable.

It can reach $100 but $1000 is impossible because ether is not used as a currency for payment like monero or bitcoin

I based that on Ethereum supply compared to Bitcoin price and Bitcoin supply. But all those interesting usecases of Ethereum might even increase the price further. Not to mention POS and stuff like that. So, I think $200 is do-able when the time has come, and it will probably be much more than that and totally unexpected for us all. I wouldn't even wonder if it goes $500. But I personally bet on $200 by the end of the year.

I think PoS only is bad for the coin. Most PoS coins are not rising in prices.

Definitely in the future, but not in 2017 in my view. I would say 100-150 USD for the end of the year.

The value is going to be tied to associated projects like Augur, in my opinion. If some of these projects become big, ETH could become huge.
It's definitely worth owning some in your portfolio.

i would says it would never happening that impossible for me even the price has been increasing but to reach those amount is still very far and in my point of view the highest price probably at range $80-$100 but only if this rally hasn't stop

Amazing to read this just barely a month later and see how wrong most of you were on Ethereum... We are now on the verge of surpassing $100 for the second time and by the end of may some serious announcements are coming out in regards to PoS and other new features..

Keep in mind Microsoft and JP Morgan, as well as others have an active investment find for Ethereum now and not even one Chinese exchange is trading eth right now...

We now see a major - almost insane- pump on XRP going on... I predict this will also come down hard soon, as the only incentive here is the participatin of central banks in Ripple, that makes people want to own it... However, XRP is not a currency and not much is needed for banks to use the system...

I think it is very possible, along with the continuous improvement of ETH ecology, more and more DAPP appear, must be the rising prices.

Maybe, if Ethereum manages to survive as some sort of niche since in the long term Bitcoin will have Rootstock.

But by the time Ethereum is $1000, BTC will be $10,000+, so yeah, you might as well just hold BTC and enjoy the ride.

certainly ETH is going to rise, it may not reach $1000 this year but will soon get there. This is nothing like how bitcoin got its value. All altcoins are getting stronger for more and more people are starting to join on board so it there is one token ton invest with that you want to keep for more than 5 years, is Ether and some platforms like WAVES and XEM.

Waves and Xem has a lot of potential to reach that speculated amount. Their current value is still very cheap that's why it is good to bag more of it while it is still affordable.

Markets are speculative here, and it was always said that Bitcoins could never reach $1000 ever again after it crashed but it did. So if that could happen, anything can. Still, ETH has a long way to reach such a high price but yes, it really deserves to reach such levels because it's been a strong competitor for Bitcoins and I see no reasons for it not to be there.

I dont think we will reach $1000 in the next year. But sooner or later it will be done :D

with this constantly rise every day of btc, it won't be long and we'd reach that destination. by that time too maybe btc will also be more than 4-5k.  its like the japanese has found their goldmine and they taking all opportunities to richness.

Not for a while. It would need to be 5 times bigger and that would put it way past bitcoin. Give it a few years and it might be.

An interesting theme that I picked up on is most people feel that 1: Ethereum can't do this because that would mean Bitcoin would need to be worth x price. And probably more dominate 2: Ethereum can't do this because that would mean it's marktetcap would be worth more than Bitcoin.

What I find amusing is that a lot of people feel there is like some unbreakable law somewhere that an "Alt Coin" cannot possibly overtake Bitcoin, ever! Also, the false assumption that only one coin can rise, or more precisely if one were to rise too much that would be Bitcoin would need to fall like there is some finite amount of money in cryptocurrency or something.

My thoughts are that yes, Ethereum can very well be worth $1000 each, and it may even happen this year yet. Bitcoin also may remain top dog and be worth $10,000 each, or to the horror of many, maybe it will only be $3,000 and second place to Ethereum's market cap.

As the final chuckle, the recent comment even with Ethereum recently seeing $200 in that "oh no, to reach $1000 that would mean it would need to be 5x what it is worth now". Do you people not keep abreast of what is happening. Not too long ago (5-6 months) Ethereum was trading at under $7 and it recently spiked close to $210 meaning it has seen a 30x rise in just the last 6 months, so tell me why is that extra 5x rise this year so impossible again?

The price of ethereum is 200 dollars plus . And thats very high amount because if you see the price of ethereum before its too low and after few years woow the price become 20 times and more. But for me I think 1000 dollars is possible to happen becaus eethereum have big potential coin and the price contiously increasing. I see ethereum if the bitcoin price the ethereum also increase so if the bitcoin price will reach 5000 and 10000 dollars it might be possible that 1000 dollars possible to happen. But no one can predict what happen in ethreum coin in the future.

I'm very confident it will break $1000 eventually. It might take years, there might (probably will be) huge price drops along the way, but it has solid real-world use cases, and the EEA continues to expand.

Actually breaking $100 is more diffucult than breaking $1000 it's not about just money so sure it will be $1000

ETH will be #1 coin. It will not grow overnight but step by step he will climb.

If an altcoin will break 1000 USD in the future, it will probably be ethereum. Because of mining issue and marketcap.

It is possible but I don't think it's happening anytime soon yet, probably around a couple of years from now when Bitcoin's value would be like $5000 or so. But we'll see about that and keep a look on this coin because it is one to look out for.

I think it's possible but it will definitely take a while. So much is changing so fast, in a couple years Ethereum could be overshadowed by something we haven't even heard of yet.

After bitcoin on ETH has the possibility to break the price of 1000$ but it will take a lot of time to reach 1000$. Right now there are many big companies approaching into ETH project so there are chances it will increase its price.

It can break $1000 in my opinion without any problem in future. It will happen but not any time soon if we say in short term then no. Ethereum ha sreached at the table of high leveled players one can realize by reading all the recent available news and developments. GAS has nothing to do with ETH price, if ETH price goes to $1000, ussually i only spend around 0.002-0.003 ETH for each my transaction when i want to send my tokens into exchange sites or wallet. It's only small amount i think and if you don't want to use GAS because of ETH price too high, don't join or invest in any new coin. That's simple as that.

Some people believe that there HAS to be a relation between ETH and BTC price and that ETH can never overtake BTC in terms of price or market cap. I'd like to ask them: tell me why. I'd like to have this debate.

ETH deserves to be there as it is the strongest competitor which has already beaten LTC and other alts in terms of technological reviews as well as security parts, and there should be no doubt for Ethereum to cross 0.5 btc some day as it already proved that it's a giant by going $200 in least time.

Sure, but not until BTC hits $10,000. And even then that's being generous... 100,000,000 ETH in circulation versus BTC's 21,000,000.

It's caused by the ICO based on the etehreum platform. A lot of whales try to take his chance to flip his money through ico and pay an irrational number of gas for the miners. They spent over thousands dollars just for paying the gas. You must do a research before try to make a statement.

$1000 is very likely especially the market is irrational right now.

As i know,  miners can increase or decrease amount of gas by how thing are looking on the overall network. If ETH price increase, gas  wouldn't require to change its price.

There's a possibility that ethereum breaks the $1000 but not now, maybe it's a long road to ethereum before they breaks the $1000. However, were not stop believing that there's a chance for ethereum to break it.

Like others have said, it will take time. Basically when the product becomes more mainstream and the average Joe heard about it, then you know it's gone parabolic

I think it will take about 6 to 12 months for the ETH to break $1000.

6 to 12 months is an eternity in crypto and if the past couple of months are any indication of future trends it will probably reach that level much faster than you think.

Ethereum classic is built on the same platform and suffered hard fork after which ethereum appeared as the truer branch. I think eth had some code improvements, it is more stable and secured than its predecessor which makes it a better coin. Maybe another fork awaits in the future and then eth will be like etc.. If this doesn't happen, I believe ethereum can reach one thousand in a few years.

My end of year goal for Ethereum about two weeks ago was $500. That seems laughable now as we are sitting at $350. I could see it passing $1000 by the end of this year, maybe hitting $2000 next year. I'm not totally convinced it will hit $1000 this year, I mean I figure this crazy bull run of the past 6 or 7 weeks has got to slow down soon. But I feel like at least $700 Ethereum is guaranteed for this year as it would just have to double from here, so $1000 would not surprise me.

As majority said here its possible but it would really takes years for its price to rise up on that point. For now price of ETH start to climb up again but on gradual on slow pace which there are no hard pumps would happen. We would love to see ETH will reach out that new ATH on 1k but will really takes time since theres still bitcoin and i do strongly believe that people will majority go to btc than on eth.

No, I think it can not achieve that value, with too fast steps, ethereum seems to have reached the limit, now it's still moving forward, but it just stabilizes at a very high value. It's hard for it to reach $ 1000.

I hope it does! Ethereum has recovered half-way from its crash recently. It might head up to $400 and new all-time highs this Fall. Hopefully it'll hit $500 this year. If the ICO hype turns into more than just hype - if the companies funding themselves from these ICOs actually have good products out next year that people use then I could see Ethereum maybe doubling next year so it might get close to $1000 next year.

Yes it can but it is going to take it a lot of time eth has started to increase lately it does seem a limited increase but for the future it is a good sign. Idk if you read the article eth reaching  $1000 there has been a technology introduced which can sustain 1k transactions every second i guess as currently it is only 25 per second. That could make a big difference.

Bitcoin will go + 10k with ease and ETH will have similar performance because the banking elite across the globe, wall street etc are buying it up to be used to get into the new SDR backed currenct called ACCoin.

This currency will be under the control of central bankers , and when the transfer of wealth takes place from bitcoin, eth and fiat they will start introducing laws to prevent bitcoin and ETH transactions.

Bitcoin price should be lot more higher for Ether to be like that as they both proved themselves as #1 and #2 best coins in crypto world.

For usre after few months or maybe 1 year we will see that the price of ethereum will hit 1000 dollars and you can earn a lot of profit in the future if you buy more ethereum and if you hold it.

That depends on whether alts will continue to follow the same trend as Bitcoin. In that case, if Bitcoin goes to $5000 by the end of the year, it would be easy to see Ethereum climbing to 400 bucks or something, but $ 1000 sounds unreasonable.

If Bitcoin rises to $10,000 then Ethereum will have to be $1000 at least. If Bitcoin ever go as high as $50,000 then $5000 Ethereum is also possible.

ETH has find their use in the crypto tokens, its going to be more than $1000 once investors from the outside figure it out. but I don't think it will happen this soon now that the immutable smart ETH or the Chinese are alive. NEO might take over the places of those on top and just maybe take over ETH in the 2nd spot.

There is no telling when but that is not impossible. So far, eth is doing good and the people who uses the platform and invests on it are dramatically increasing. As long as eth will remain as competitive as it is today and be able to convince more and more audience, then it is no doubt eth could break to $1000.

It could someday or some time in the future for we can not predict it. Ethereum is strong and I think in time it will reach that price or maybe even more. And more investors also are using Ethereum as its blockchain and using them for ICO projects.

Now that NEO has arrived, it may take years and year before ETH goes $1K. It would be a hell of a fight between two token both same concept except NEO to be immutable than ETH and it supported by billions of Chinese. Even at its price today, it continue to rise and maybe it will slow down probably on $200

ETH is a lot of backers out there. Chinese and even US citizens that are willing to invest into it. Its just a matter of time to see ETH breaking $1000. Currently its trading price is significant because if its gonna hold, then I think $400 will be the next stop. ETH recently has encountered a lot of wall that is difficult to break in, but seeing now that it has surpassed $300 then probably $350-$400 and at the end of the year we are going to see a price that is near the $1000 mark. I'm just hoping that the trend will continue though, as ETH price is correlated to BTC. The more the price of BTC rises, the more ETH will benefit as well. We just have to wait and see if we are going to pop $1000 in the near future.

Absolutely.  ETH is beating bitcoin by most metrics and experiencing exponential adoption rates.  EEA will open ETH to the mainstream, which will easily increase the price to $1000.

I do not think the ETH price has anything to do with the bitcoin price. It will rise regardless of bitcoin.

In my opinion, Ethereum can complete this target in this year or next year after changes to PoS system.
In that time, the price of Ethereum will increase nature, do not need someone stimulate demand buying on market.

We can't know if Vitalik is a billionaire, honestly I don't care what he does, but the important thing for me is that whether ethereum will hit $1,000 within two years. Because I'm holding some ethereum and I'm accumulating it.

The potential and community of Ethereum can do that, reach to $1,000 with Ethereum is a mission easy. Important in that time, the cryptocurrency market still hot trend like this year or not, because future of Ethereum depends the growh of crypto market.

It is too early to talk about the value of ethereum and your predictions; it may be wrong now, but it may be true in the future. Time is the most accurate answer for all problems. Waiting is the only thing we have to do.

Nobody can predict the timing for sure but Ethereum is most likely going to go $1000 and higher.
It should happen by early 2018.

There is a huge chance eth will break 1k provided that its technology and developers can keep up with the demands and meet certain expectations. Eth has a great potential though breaking 1k won't be an easy challenge but i do believe they eventually can.

I hope so. There no certainty about that, it may or it may not reach that point. But for its current statistics, it will take a long period of time or may not reach that. But since there's no certainty to that it is just tentative. Things may happen and might create a change of situation. It is not going to happen that soon. Eth is currently having bad dumping phase and it is not going to over soon. We need to wait for at least 2 years when this sluggish coin will be able to touch eth. Thank god! I am not holding eth in my wallets. I even don’t consider it a coin at all.

It will reach that amount for sure, the altcoin market is growing day by day, there is more volume and marketcap everyday, so that mean more people is investing, and if that happens, the price is always gonna be up.

Few days ago I would agree that ETH could break $1000 by the end of the year. But after news that China banned ICO I would say that it will happen a little bit later. May be at the end of 2018.

I think it won't break $1000 that easily. Their platform is still problematic. Transactions are getting cancelled, gasses are burnt. Even hacks/attacks are happening still.

Actually, nodody can predict exact the price of Ethereum and other altcoin or the future of cryptocurrency in next year. Maybe, in that time we will see the bubble growth of cryptocurrency breakdown. ETH is the second currency after bitcoin, but that it has reached such heights, then certainly not. It is not in such demand and the fact that it has risen on a certain day does not mean that it will blow up the market and endanger bitcoin.

If your someday has no particular limit or time frame, then yes, it will reach the $1000 value. But if you say that ETH will reach $1000 within 2017, that is something I seriously doubt. But I hope there will be a round of bullish run for altcoins before December so that we will end this year with a beautiful chart.  ;)

I do not think so, in theory it could, but it is my opinion that despite the fact that some people thought Ethereum was going to overcome bitcoin I think the opposite is going to happen, new smart contract coins are appearing that are easier to use and since I’m not aware of any killer app designed in ETH it seems that the path is open for any other superior technology to overtake it.

It is very difficult to predict happen, i heard that Ethereum will switch to Proof-of-Stake do not know when exactly the release date. By switching to PoS mode we do not know what will happen to the ETH price, the price will likely drop.

For today, I think Ethereum could not break $1000 because as we can see ETH's price is decreasing so I don't think that it will reach $1000 but as time goes by it may increase its value again but I can't say that it will reach $1000 so we should not expect that much. We should wait until its value rise beyond our expectations.

Well Ethereum is a special coin with some nice uniqe uses but 1k is a hard milestone for it to achieve. I don't see this happening anytime soon. Because it's not designed to have that much value in my opinion. Although it's hard to predict what will happen in crypto world especially for 3-4 years time span.

In my opinion, i think there is a possibility that it can reach that high but low chances. We all know that the price of a coin is varying , it means that it has a chance to increase or decrease depends on the market cap. It is really not an easy task for eth to reach this value. It has to struggle damn hard in order to cross the figure of thousand. It is going through frequent pumps and dumps and even at present is dumping badly. Many people are doing panic selling with eth. I fear even its existence in the coming years.

There are some predictions that say that the market cap of all the cryptos is going to grow to 2 trillion dollars in the next 10 or 15 years if that is true that is more than 10 times the current market cap for all cryptos so if that prediction is correct then there is a chance ETH is able to touch that price in the future but since ETH is going to change from PoW to PoS then we do not know what it may happen in the future of ETH.

Eth can not be analyzed for the short term because it moves very slowly in determining their market position, this strategy is very good because the most important in the market is trust, I think ethereum will touch the price as you mentioned in just 7 years. Currently  ETH is the only platform that is used widely basically by the ICO luncher. Almost all of the ICOs are brought up in the ETH blockchain network then the Waves and Bitshares platform is used some more extent. I think this is the only driver that bring the ETH price few penny to $350 above. So, i think within 6 month or one year ETH may hit the $1000.

I have no such high expectations from ethereum. Honestly, only bitcoin can make superfast progress. Ethereum has a very large supply. I think, it is somewhere around 95 million dollars and it does not have a good community also. It would take it years to touch 1k dollars because the demand needs to get increased but even after that, it will be fulfilled with ease.

Ethereum is very nice cryptocurrency, it was a competitive one. Ethereum surpasses almost all of the altcoins as we look for their differences in value but I don't think that ethereum will reach $1000 because this kind of value is very far from its original value so for me it will not reach $1000.

People are taking altcoins just as worthless and their all focuses are pivoted on bitcoin. Yes it is for sure that bitcoins is stunningly changing the international market and you will be seeing it in future. But other altcoins are of the same nature. Like ETH is placed at second number after bitcoin so yes it is not impossible but for sure, ETH have to be more stronger.

Apart from the fact that their entire network is flooded with new ERC20 assets created for worthless airdrops, i don't think that ETH has even 10% of the practical usage of bitcoin right now. Sure, smart contracts are cool and all but do we really need them? Same with the tokens. We can already issue them on the bticoin blockchain with counterparty/omni/coloredcoins.

Indeed for now this ethereum has quite a good level in its growth, because it is now the ethereum has also been observed after bitcoin. But I think that to ethereum could be better than a bitcoin, takes time. For now this bitcoin has started and developed by most of the companies that have already started to talk about it. Not during this year probably. Imao the correlation between BTC and Ether will stay on the level of about 0.05 if nothing serious happen. Generally Ether value as any altcoin is driven by BTC and it will hit 1k when BTC will hit about 15k.

ETH would get to $1000 very soon, if it continues at this pace. Very soon doesn't mean in three months time but say two years. As we all know right now, ETH has reached an all time high of $415 so $1000 I'd not far off. If the developers work  painstakingly $1000 mark would be a starting point in a matter of years.

We are already close enough to see such a price of the ethereum. Developers are constantly working to improve it and its price is skyrocketing. Next year we will see the ethereum at a price of $ 1000 per coin. IMHO

I am quite optimistic with ETH as it will go to another chapter of its hardfork. Price may surge upto 10k$ each as it stands the most useful and stable coin out there. Not to mention the constant improvement every year.

After months of speculations and forecastings the long awaited all-time high of ethereum is finally reached. Will it follow the path of bitcoin that reached $20k? Classic error in understanding nominal price vs. total market cap. If ETH went up to $20k, it would be worth $2 trillion, which is 10x the current value of Bitcoin.  Simple math... there's many more ETH coins compared to BTC.

Ethereum price seems to be going very strong at the moment in the trading market, maybe the year of 2018 will be the time for Ethereum to create new high record in its value, it is still too early to predict how the trading trend on Etheureum will goes in the long run, but I am planning to purchase some of it for long term investment.

I think ETH will have a big growth in 2018 , because so many good tokens/coins are based on ethereums ERC20.

I also bought more eth just today. I consider eth a good buy because I am also confident it will easily break $1,000. Long term goal is $10,000 in few years or maybe in just a year or 2.

Why is not good? Increase in price is always good moves and not comparing with other since etehrium has its own market and not always pair with bitcoin.
Etherium is one of the best altcoin for me. It can grow more than $1000 per etherium. I know its difficult to surpass it because the marketcap is splitting now to other new token. Thats the reason why its more difficult.

Already the price of ETH crossed more than 1300$ and now ETH is in a big market correction. Soon the price of ETH will increase in the market when Bitcoin price settles.

Based on the previous behavior of ethereum for the past year, there is  already a good chance that this coin will go back again to the one thousand dollar mark in a few months. Of course as all other altcoins, it is still at the mercy of Bitcoin. If bitcoin falls, so should ether.

ETH already hit the 1k value and for sure it will break that mark in the next months. With the current state of Btc, eth and other alts are down as well. Many are using it as their platform thats why once I sell my other coins I will hold Eth because it is for long term investment.

This thread is hilarious.  It started this time last year and most people were saying oh man it'll take years.  I can buy a penthouse if that happens....And exactly 1 year later we are debating when it will hit $1000....for the second time.   Hope that guy sold at $1000 and bought his penthouse and then is buying some right now.

yes, ethereum now is the best time to buy because the price is down too deep for bitcoin price. actually, if we see the history of ethereum, this coin can easily break $1k but somehow the price won't break that number and only get down until the price now. but I am not sure how much the long-term of ethereum that will reach because the sky is limit and no one can know and when the time comes.

The price was already above this limit. Of course it can and will, just give it time before the end of the year and see for yourself how it will happen.

Didn’t Ethereum reach $1000 already? If it had dropped down now then most probably it may be because of bitcoin too. Whether the price goes up or down, bitcoin can push or pull the prices of the altcoins and that includes Ethereum as well. But don’t worry because I think it will increase back its price back again.

I do not think ETH will reach $ 1,000 this year, the market has a lot of bad influences on Crypto. Almost all of the altcoin prices are down. Many countries have been stricter in the Crypto market, which has reduced the number of people accessing the Crypto market.

Your idea is correct. In fact, eth has reached the $ 1000 mark in January this year. Actually bitcoin had crossed a value of 1000$ in a couple of months. Later on the price of Ethereum is start to fluctuate. Then it's price is reduced and finally at 700$.It's possible for Ethereum to get back to 1k$.I had holding 5 ETH in my wallet for long, if the price of Ethereum reduced, I will buy some more Ethereum for my future.If they reached any high value, I will proceed to sell half of my holding coins.

Ofcourse it can and no doubt about it. Bitcoin almost reached $20000 before the year 2017 ends and ethereum kept its place behind bitcoin amongst all altcoins. So definitely, ethereum will have the chance in time to rise up. Maybe not to overtake bitcoin but closer enough absolutely.

Ethereum has potential to reach 2000$ price levels according to current development of ICOs. Bitcoin is already losing dominant place but alts will replace the losted market cap by bitcoin in my opinion.Eth prices aare not stable nowadays and 1000$ level will be next support price level if recovery happens in two month.

Without a doubts ETH will break 1K, my speculation is 2K in December.

I did not realize that this was an old post and reading the post from 1 year ago will just make you smile as their prediction is Ethereum will only hit $200. Well we know what happened.

But for the current price Ethereum is barely moving it just bounces around $670 to $740, right now it is still consolidating. There is a huge possibility that we will reach $900 resistance level within this month.  If we are able to pass that resistance level I can see another pump and we will end up with a new all time high within this year, possibly $2000.

$1000 for Ethereum is not a big task for it to achieve. It would achieve that probably in April itself, my prediction for Ethereum this year is close to $5000. This crypto has all the potential to achieve x5 within this year for sure.

I don't know why you have created a thread with just $1000 for Ethereum for such a potential coin. However, as I already mentioned this price would be reached this April probably.

Yeah, people always predict like 2x-10x current price while ETH has gone parabolic.

From current levels though, such 100x returns are going to be extremely difficult just given the size and scale. The valuation already rivals the marketcap of S&P500 companies (I know it is not a 1-1 comparison, but still useful), and another run up like last year would mean a value rivaling the top firms by marketcap in the entire world.

But of course, $2000 is well within reach. Just don't expect 2017 returns all over again.

I don't believe so much in reading charts but I have no doubts that Ethereum will be break $1500 this summer. With every new successful ICO the underlying platform increases in value as the token is used. Currently 9 out 1o ICOs are using the ERC20 token, this might change towards NEO in the long term but in the short-mid term Ethereum will continue to grow.

I don`t have any doubt that Ethereum will hit 1000, 2000 and much more in the long-term. This altcoin is very promissing and one of the major which is used for ICO projects so it will become more and more popular and price will be increasing more and more. This is one of the asset which you must accumulate from trading other highly volatile coins.

I totally agree with your point of view that ETH will have a good role in the economy in the future and there is no doubt that its price will grow up. But in this moment, the FUD of the investors makes ETH price drop down and i think it needs more time to recovers.

Ethereum reach $1000 dollar last year. And i think ethereum will grow again at the end of the year. Now it keeps on dropping. But i still believe in this crypto.
