Hi guys what is honestly the reason why the price was drop few hours ago.. ?

What do you think the cause why price was drop few hours ago?

That selling was probably based on a misinterpretation of the scaling debate and the false claim of an impending hard fork.
There is a lot of manipulation going on. Be wary not to sell at the bottom.

Yeah, there have been a lot of concerns lately with bitcoin and the recent new of antpool supporting bitcoin unlimited has really stirred up the scene and it is hampering the price growth of bitcoins. This is also why all the altcoins are going up since you will see a lot of people moving out of bitcoins and into altcoins. But for sure when everything settles, all altcoin prices will go down and bitcoins will skyrocket this time.

Fear of hardfork fear and a little profit taking from alts which will remain nameless. That is at least why I sold some =)

This might be the regular fall in price to get a stability or due to the impact created by ongoing debate in which each gains strength for a short time without a finalized decision. Can be used as the time to profit as price increase could take place depending upon the decision.

BU screwed up big time and people are kind of all over the place with how to feel about it. There's no hard fork coming without some logical solutions coming out. BU is over though. All of this uncertainty and doubt caused people to go to other alts or fiats.

I guess some people just sold much now, I think they have their own reasons.  That is one big difference with bitcoin, with price drops like this you will have to find the reason for it. But sometimes you just cant and maybe that is because we did it and we dont want our transactions be traced right?

FUD and manipulation is always the cause and this time is no exception. the ETF FUD ended and it was a stupid thing and now another stupid FUD about chain splitting into two is being spread everywhere and price is taking the hit for now.

just make sure not to get caught in the middle of this like last time.

they need cheap coins to make the most out of any situation and make more money. BU node bug is a total bullshit. BU is not bitcoin at the moment and that means any bug is just a bug in random code that someone made!
it am afraid it is ETF all over again, when people soon start only talking about BU and what ifs until everyone has headaches and weak hands are kicked out and then we see rise again.

Uh, I believe people are selling off their BTC to buy ETH during it's massive run up. ETH is up nearly 300% in the past MONTH.

I think is no big news and problem about bitcoin price is down
only corection price and bitcoin price is comodities can trade, so fluatuative price down or incraese is reasonable
but news in today only node bitcoin unlimited is crash

As usual nothing out of the norm, bitcoin has been like this ever since 2013 and you shouldn't be surprised if you see price dropping under $1000 as well because 2 months ago it was below $1000 and difficulty didn't increase significantly.

wasn't this already prevented with the news about the bug of bitcoin unlimited? with that bug the consensus should not increase for bu and therefore the chance would be almost non-existing for it to happen

it might be justa  small correction, or a delayed effect from the EFT, which was strange to not cause any panic dump

Because a lot of the people just their hand on his ears, because too many the FUD for the bitcoin in this day and i think it will recover again into the previous value. This just a short dip and i think we will back again and no doubt about that. I believe bitcoin is really strong.

Do not be too concerned about the short term fluctuation in the Bitcoin price. We have a group of whales with a lot of financial power to cause a lot of volatility, when they want to make some profits. Bitcoin is also very susceptible to FUD and shilling going on in this scene.

One thing I do know is Bitcoin seem to be bouncing back after every dip in the price. Speculators just love this volatility, because the day traders profit from this. ^hmmmmm^

This has nothing to do with ETF. This is just a mix of BU, FUD and the European Union that has said that crypto cant be anonymous.

opportunity!

- opportunity to buy cheap coins.
- opportunity to pump the two biggest altcoins even more
- opportunity to sell your altcoins at higher prices when it went up higher.
- opportunity to generally make much more profit.

it starts with FUD about any topic (this time it was BU, last time it was ETF, before than something else) and then everyone jump in to take advantage of the opportunity then when it is late and price is low panic sellers start dumping.

in the end everything will be back to normal again and after some time rinse and repeat.

There is no clear even which indicates reason for this small drop. It is, however, the biggest price drop since ETF decline, yet I doubt it had anything to do with ETF.
I've seen the news that Canada and India are issuing warnings on bitcoin Ponzi schemes, nothing but usual FUD about danger of cryptocurrency etc.
We also have further discussion about scaling problem, this time with UASF in play.

It's mostly due to FUD. The EU and it's ridiculous decision is not from any relevance imo.
If that would have been the case Alts like Dash and Monero should have plunged as these are real anocoins.
No it's pure FUD from Bitcoin Judas and his minions, shills and altcoin pumpers.

I am sad that i bought at 1140 EUR because i taught it was the FUD bottom. But 990 EUR was lol. Now i must waight for 2 weeks untill i got some fait money again.

I think there were more people doing dumping and panic selling of their holdings, but its a good opportunity to buy now because bitcoin will rise again after few hours next day. You should not be discourage if this will happen to the price of bitcoin because opportunity comes after a sudden fall and we should always take note of that.

There are plenty holders who sold their coins that why the price of bitcoin down price fall that fast but do not worry it is a part of bitcoin there will be dump happen but im sure by the end of the month bitcoin price will rise again.

It's too soon to come to that conclusion. I am fairly sure that the $1000 level will hold and turn out to be the bottom in case it happens to drop further from current ~$1100 levels. But even if it does, it will give people a much waited for opportunity to (once again) buy themselves some cheap coins. It's pointless to always look at the negative aspects. Sell the peaks, and buy the dumps!

I thought we were already used to the price falling for some time. There have been many similar situations in the past, so it's not something new. I don't think the price would go down more than to $950. There is manipulation, speculation, the ETF and people trading their profit for fiat. After such a rise, of course investors and traders will change their profit into money to spend it, because that's why you make money out of holding & trading. The price is manipulated either by scams, fake news and similar stuff or by actual news about cryptocurrencies such as Dash possibly overtaking Bitcoin or so.

Get used to them. The price will have decreases but will always increase with more than there has been lost.

Seriously think if we priced in mBTC this swing would mean nothing and also we'd probably be way higher in market cap overall. People just think the price is high when we price in whole bitcoins.

I like to think that it is just a needed correction, we made new ATH so its time to correct. It will be also an oportunity for holding fiat to jump in.

If you use Bitcoin you'd notice the difference on the bills. Add all the sums of your Bitcoin-paid bills and you'd see there are going to be a few dozens or cents or maybe bucks in difference. If your local currency would fall in price a lot, you'd notice higher prices. Why pay them?

I think it's a reasonable thing, everyone knows that bitcoin is the best options trading so that many of them are doing the speculation with the purpose of profit. I sure prices will rise again a week ago.

That's sure price will have to climb up higher again and those reasons of price droppings a fews hours ago, It's not a new situation that happened. Price fluctuations normally happens in digital currency because supply and demand will affect the market of bitcoin, and that lower price movement really showed us how effective bitcoin is and it gives an opportunity to other to buy and hold for the future investment.

Did you use the proceeds to buy some altcoins? The ETH is rising fast.

The word "stability" doesn't suit to bitcoin. It's bitcoin's nature to be not stable and go up and down. So, I am not oven surprised and I think you shouldn't to worry, cause of the price is going to back on it's previous the highest point 1300+$ and will continue to rise.

Unlike commodities price or other currency prices, you can never predict the fall or rise of bitcoin price and the reason behind them.
After ETF failure, many people were expecting a sudden crash of bitcoin price but luckily that didn't happen.

in my opinion, bitcoin price is drop few hours ago is because there is many investor that come into the market and they buy a lot of bitcoin with their money but after that we can see that the price is trying to get back to the price before. i think its still normal and we can see this thing again in future and even we can see that maybe in future, the price is going to be down and up more often as bitcoin now is become more popular which many people is interesting with bitcoin and they trying to buy bitcoin too like us. maybe after this, we can see that the price will reach a new floor for a while and then the price will be jump to other price.

if you trade use euro curency, and now bitcoin price is down
you can use bitcoin to margin trading or lending in bitfinex or kraken
but you want cut lost you can selling youre bitcoin

I think it's just normal maybe it can be a coincidence that many people sold there bitcoins on the same time and another reason can be as the price was 1250 buying would be less so because of that difference the drop in price could have been caused. I don't think we should worry about it.

Yeah that's one of the major reason why many people sold, plus the price was quite high in last week i suppose it was the higgest we have reached.

There are lots of ETH movements. It seems like most bitcoins were converted to ETH that's why BTC price fell... I am not 100% about this but that is just my observation during my trade.

When speculators feel already got profit, no doubt they will sell all of the bitcoin. I think this is normal, sometimes I also do so that benefit. I agree that we should not panic, because the price would certainly rise again.

No way mate i don't think we will ever go back to that triple digit again now the new lowest mark has been set as $1000 but there are mopre chances of price rise so believe in bitcoin but do your own research.

Yes even i feel the same these price dump is just temporarily as we have seen many of this kind of price dumps in the past but at the end bitcoin will regain its value with a price pump just like how it happened last year.

Indeed the price dump will not make much damage to the value of bitcoin because once the value of bitcoin stats to increase it will be much more than the price dump it's just like stepping few steps backwards only to run and jump more further ia m sure by the end of this month we will see a new level of price increase and that's for sure.

No one can predict where bitcoin will land in coming days and even if price goes down there is nothing to worry as price will rise again in long run so its better to hold our coins and do not sell if we see price going down as everyone is expecting to see higher price in coming months.

Don't write off triple digit prices already. It's not like there is a gap of $500-$600 between current price levels and triple digit levels. If that was the case, then you could have somewhat of a point, but not in this case. There are too many uncertainties that may have a significant impact on the price sooner or later. That's why I have enough fiat left to buy all the way down in case the price tanks heavily.

You really cannot conclude that the price wont go down because the recent price slide is simple because of the uncertainty regarding forking and so is the reason people are investing in altcoins at the moment and so is the reason the price went down for bitcoin and if you look at the charts the etherum bitcoin volume has increased in the past few days.

It is kinda normal for price to drop for bitcoin since it is unpredictable at times. It might be probably caused by manipulation or whales dumping that caused weak hands to dump too resulting in lower price. It would be up soon though don't worry let's just wait a little while and we will see bitcoin again back to the price levels 1200$+ or more. If that happens though I think another drop will be seen.

the current price of bitcoin is very easy to change. Now a lot of news that could affect the market bitcoin.
I was quite worried because it occurs sizable decline from the previous price.

Dont worry man since bitcoin proved that even if it falls it can rise up again although it might be long but slowly but surely it will reach another price peak. It was proven by the history of bitcoin from 2013 dump and now we are back at price ranges 1000$ to near 1300$ this month so why hesitate? Also many devastating news have come recently against bitcoin and it hasn't even gone back to 3 digit prices so trust it and dont worry. Just think of the drop as an ordinary day in the crypto-world because changes in price really is inevitable.

Price fluctuation is normal in the bitcoin price chart. We usually see big fluctuation always but from last 3 months price is moving up only. Hope it would it move again to peak. Patience is needed for btc price bump.
